In November 2005, Darren finds thousands of pounds belonging to Jake Moon (Joel Beckett), which Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) has accidentally thrown out in the rubbish. Darren uses the money to buy a mobile phone, and spends it mostly on his girlfriend, Kylie, who eventually splits up with Darren because he is unable to buy alcohol.

Sykes splits up with his team following a raid on a North Korean-controlled harbor. He witnesses a North Korean warship being bombarded by U.S. Navy fighter jets.

Afterward the team splits up, with Paladin taking Moon-boy in for the reward offered for his capture. Black Cat tries to appeal to Paladin's good nature, but Paladin kicks her away and informs her she does not know him at all. Shang-Chi departs the group carrying the still injured Tarantula in his arms.

The squad's captain looks into his binoculars and sees 4 GSG 9 members approaching from the other side of the area. The SWAT team splits up, with 3 of the members going off in different directions and the leader setting himself down to set up his Remington 700 sniper rifle. The GSG 9 also split up, with each team going into different buildings.

The trio defeats Hurt's thugs in a matter of minutes, and subsequently splits up, with Bruce pursuing Hurt into the Batcave and Dick and Damian leaving to Gotham Square in order to defuse Professor Pyg's bomb.

Despite his commitment to Joanie, Zak still remains close to Lisa causing Joanie and him to argue constantly. On Christmas Day, Joanie splits up with Zak due to his unresolved feelings for Lisa and he tried to reconcile with Lisa, who rejects him. When Joanie dies suddenly after being released from prison, Lisa comforts Zak in his grief and she accepts him.

The case goes to court and it looks like Hakeem is going to win the case but Diana turns up as a late witness and Hakeem's secret is exposed - when he met with Diana secretly, she had recorded everything he said about his family. He described Lucious as the devil, says he wishes Cookie was still in prison, calls Andre crazy and unstable and expresses unhappiness with Jamal's drug addiction. The judge awards full custody to Anika, devastating Hakeem. He splits up with Tiana after she crumbles in the witness stand.

The Torchwood team subsequently end up in CIA custody. Though Esther is pardoned alongside Rex, Jack is shot as he tries to escape, leaving Esther with the responsibility of keeping him safe on the run. Nicky's first few years are spent in a happy home but Brian and Gail clash over Gail's desire to work and holier than thou attitude in her marriage, and Brian's immaturity. By 1986, Gail has had an affair with Tilsley family cousin, Ian Latimer, falling pregnant and splits up with Brian. The child, Sarah Louise (Lynsay King), is Brian's but he refuses to believe it and begins dating lawyer, Liz Turnbull.

It becomes increasingly evident that Ron is not particularly enamoured with Lavender and actually finds her irritating. Lavender becomes jealous of Ron's friendship with Hermione, and finally splits up with him when she sees them leaving Harry's dormitory together, as she is under the impression that they had been alone together, not realising Harry was there under his invisibility cloak. In Deathly Hallows, during the Battle of Hogwarts, Lavender is attacked by Fenrir Greyback, but is saved by a crystal ball hurled by Professor Trelawney, ultimately surviving the battle. Jennifer Smith portrayed Lavender in a brief non-speaking role in Prisoner of Azkaban.

Gus falls in love with Sonia and they get together after she splits up with Jamie Mitchell (Jack Ryder). The breakups with all four couples happen in this season; future Ted (Bob Saget) refers to this period as the ‘autumn of breakups’. Victoria splits up with Ted over his friendship with Robin, Barney and Quinn break up due to their inability to trust each other, and Robin breaks up with Nick realizing his immaturity.

The Dramatics, a professional black R&B; group, arrive in Detroit hoping to score a recording contract. Seconds before their scheduled performance at a music hall, the police shut down the venue and order them to leave the city. En route, their bus is attacked by rioters and the group subsequently splits up, with lead singer Larry Reed and his bodyguard Fred Temple renting a room at the local Algiers Motel for the night.

Plot Overview Whilst Jamie is initially haunted by the absence of Jack's presence, he is determined to make the best of Phoenix FC's new circumstances, as the academy for Northport Rovers, a non-league club, with a new coach named Molly Sinkamba (Thanyia Moore). Boggy splits up with Nancy, who claimed that was is too invested in Phoenix to care about their relationship. Problems arise after the introduction of an U12s team, due to misbehaviour, but Alba Osbourne (Elena Cole), a member of the side, helps Mike Johnson, the coach, to motivate the side. The U14s play their first match of the season, with Jamie taking the captain's armband.

As the team prepares to end the confrontation with the Breakworld leader, the team splits up—with Kitty on the team appointed to stop the missile pointed at Earth. Kitty phases into the missile to disrupt its circuitry noting that it is composed of the same material as the rest of Breakworld, a material that is difficult and exhausting for her to phase through. After phasing for a mile into the missile, Kitty finds the center only to discover it empty. The missile is fired, causing Kitty to pass out inside of it as Beast discovers too late that due to its shape, trajectory, and lack of internal circuitry, the Breakworld's weapon is not a missile, but a bullet.

He tells them that they must find the storybook page depicting the door, as well as the door's key, for only then will they be able to lock Isaac back into the book where he belongs. The group splits up, with Henry, Hook, David and Mary Margaret heading back to the loft for the book and key, while Emma, Regina and the Apprentice head to Gold's pawnshop. At the shop, Gold is clinging to life as Isaac finishes up writing the new book, titled Heroes & Villains. He plans on a new universe in the Enchanted Forest for the inhabitants of Storybrooke, while he writes a new ending for himself in the Land Without Magic.

The search team splits up, with one group bringing the dead men back to the lodge and the other continuing the search for Kiyoshi. By nightfall, there is still no sign of Kiyoshi and the leader of the rescue team informs the others that they will have to return to Tōkyo until the snow thaws. Six months later, the snow on the mountains have thawed enough for a proper search to be mounted, Takashi and Machiko return to the Japanese Alps with anthropologist Professor Shigeki Koizumi (Nobuo Nakamura) as leader of the expedition. There is little hope of Kiyoshi having survived, a fact which Machiko seems to have come to terms with; but if there is some clue what happened to him and the others, Takashi is determined to find it.

Shortly after Dana and Tanya announce their engagement, Alice visits Dana and impulsively kisses her; taking advantage of Alice's feelings, Dana kisses her back and begins an affair with her behind Tanya's back, and with Alice's pushing, Dana eventually splits up with Tanya (made easier when Tanya casually admits she had been cheating on Dana as well, implying that Tanya was only interested in Dana for her money). Though the two seem happy in their relationship, Dana's ex, Lara, comes back at the end of the second season, raising Alice's suspicions, particularly when Dana shows surprise at Alice's suggestion that they live together and refuses to say she loves her.
