Solers is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France.

The Domesday Book refers to two manors, Oliffe and Solers, each with its own church. In 1871, they were united as one parish. The former rectory of St Oswald's, Shipton Olife, is a Grade II listed Victorian baronial house, built in 1863 by Thomas Fulljames. The Gloucestershire Way long-distance footpath passes through the village.

Rostan resigned the position on 10 November 1242 and was replaced by John Maunsell. During 1249, the Solers family and the Colom family fought over political control of Bordeaux. Simon de Monfort, the Seneschal of Gascony, put down the factional fighting, arresting Rostan and sending him to England to appear before Henry III. Rostan was succeeded by his son Gaillard.

The D. crocata, D. ninnii, D. dubrovninnii, D. hungarica, and D. longirostris are the five species still found in Central Europe after the last glacial period. They are also abundantly found in North African countries like Morocco and Egypt, but also in Ethiopia, the Iberian Peninsula, and Australia. In the United States, Dysdera crocata is found from New England down to Georgia, and all the way across the country in California. At least two species inhabit South America: D. solers in Colombia- possibly a relict species from the post-miocene era- and D. magna in Brazil, Uruguay, and the central area of Chile.

At some point the couple moved to the Levantine coastal town of Burriana, the birthplace of Juan Bautista's grandfather, Vicente Soler Torrent (1798–1871).

(London: John Bowyer Nichols and Son, 1837). Page 246 In 1291, the Taxation of Pope Nicholas IV occurred in England, and demonstrated the Priory's possession of this property. In September 1290 William Devereux was back in court negotiating his redemption. Henry de Solers, Sheriff of Hereford, and 3 other justices heard the plea of William Devereux that the 100 marks required for redemption of his lands could not be achieved without forcing him to sell his land, and that this was against all precedent. The court ruled in his favor, and he was released of the 100 shillings previously discussed.
