Hoping to help the child avoid her own social awkwardness she seeks out a father who's on the stupid side, and settles on Chicago Stars quarterback Cal Bonner. After a few failed efforts she succeeds in getting pregnant, but Cal turns out to be much smarter than she thought. He also doesn't want to have a child out of wedlock.

Key & Peele (abbreviated to K&P;) is an American sketch comedy television series created by Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele that aired on Comedy Central. Both Key and Peele previously worked on Mad TV. Each episode of the show consists mainly of several pre-taped skits starring the two actors. In Gorilla Nation, she explores how working with gorillas helped her escape her social isolation. Asperger syndrome may be accompanied by difficulties processing stimuli, sensory sensitivity, and social awkwardness. As suggested by the title, which speaks of a "nation" of gorillas, the author conveys view of the world from the perspective of primates, effectively demonstrating how people and gorillas are subsumed emotionally, socially, and spiritually under the same rubric.

This form of stalking is generally associated with individuals who have shared previous personal relationships with their victims. However, this is not necessarily the case between a common member of the public exhibiting celebrity worship syndrome and the famous person with whom they are obsessed. Individuals that meet the criteria of being labeled as a “simple obsessional stalker” tend to share a set of characteristics including an inability to have successful personal relationships in their own lives, social awkwardness, feelings of powerlessness, a sense of insecurity, and very low self-esteem.

James Jackson Toth of Stereogum called it a "chilling ode to social awkwardness" during which "Cobain, sounding like a cross between Lemmy and a gargoyle, acknowledges his position as a shadowy outsider–even revels in it." Steve Fisk, who produced Nirvana's Blew EP in 1989, offered an alternate theory of the song's meaning, saying that "I got told it was about the guy who lived across the street from the duplex and would come over while Kurt was gone to try to smoke [Cobain's then-girlfriend] Tracy [Marander] out." The song received some criticism from members of the Seattle music scene in the late 1980s because of the lyric, "Daddy's little girl ain't a girl no more," which closely resembled the lyrics to the 1988 song, "Sweet Young Thing Ain't Sweet No More," by Nirvana's Sub Pop label mates, Mudhoney.
