The transaction is crashed by Mister Sinister who is seeking to reclaim the genetic material of Wolverine that was stolen from him and the resulting attack causes a hole in the submarine. Spider-Man uses his web and Luke Cage plug up the hole. As Iron Man works to keep Mister Sinister from killing the seller, he is assisted by one of the disguised auction attendees who turns out to be Laura Kinney (X-23/Wolverine) as she slices off Mister Sinister's left hand.

After Alita infiltrates the Granite Inn but gets trapped by Nova's Ouroboros program, Bigott sells her out, offering her to Nova and inviting him back to Tiphares with Melchizedek and the Ladder's approval. When the secret of Tiphares is revealed to Bigott, he slices off the top of his own head to see for himself. Seeing his own bio-chip brain, he goes insane, and is shortly after killed along with the rest of the GIB by the MIB.

Darrow expects a betrayal, but she returns to deliver her captive brother, and Darrow wins the exercise.

Visionborne, through its department Visionbooks, originated the medium of animated comics, which are comic books read on a digital device that include motion graphics within the frames, delivered via a mobile application. Initial publishers to release comics through Visionbooks included Asylum Press, Arcana Studio, Real Interface Studios, Vanquish Interactive, and Cavalletto. Mike Splechta said of the motion that, “each panel in the comic will have some slight movement or motion ... adding a sort of kinetic feel to each scene. It's certainly not fully animated, that's what TV shows are for after all, but now you you'll get a better sense of the action, like when a hero fl[ies] up into the air, or someone slices off the head of a zombie.” The app is a free download, with several titles released per month.

She slices off the creature's hand and restrains it using her lasso as Batman stuns it, allowing Superman to kill the monster using a kryptonite spear at the cost of his own life.
