He was not among the priorities of his coach therefore, on 3 January 2014, Ikonomou returned to Ross County, signing a contract until the end of the 2013–14 season. On 4 January 2014, Ikonomou is poised to earn his second Ross County debut after being named in the starting lineup for his club visit of St Johnstone F.C. in the Scottish Premiership. The Greek left-back enjoyed a six-month spell at Victoria Park in the second half of last season, before signing on for an additional stint earlier this week.

Shortly after the confirmation of the fourth season, it was confirmed that producers such as Allison Grodner and Arnold Shapiro would return to the series for this season, and were also contracted to do the fifth season. Despite signing on for Big Brother 5, the series had not been confirmed at the time. A shortfall in Army numbers had resulted in the Time of Service in the Army Act 1847, under which enlistment was for ten years, later increased to twelve; but this was still too long. On completion of their enlistment, soldiers had the choice between accepting discharge without pension or signing on for a further ten- or twelve-year term. If they chose the latter, they would be rewarded with two months furlough, another enlistment bounty, and a pension on completion of their term. After many years with no trade other than that of soldiering, more than half of all discharged soldiers chose to re-enlist immediately.

Also in 2010, Anderson wrote Signing on for the Devil which chronicled Sheffield's heavy metal music dominance in the 1980s.

In early 2009, after signing on for the Australian Summer Slaughter tour, The Red Shore confirmed they would then not be playing alongside Dying Fetus, The Faceless and Necrophagist on the tour. They stated, "Throughout the last few months we felt that certain circumstances pertaining to the tour did not suit the band and this coupled with some ongoing medical problems with some of our members and some financial constraint simply means that opting out of this tour was the best thing for the band at this point in time." Celestine and Etta and their three children, Clyde (Steven Woodcock), the oldest, and twins Hattie (Michelle Gayle) and Lloyd (Garey Bridges), move to Albert Square along with Celestine's father Jules (Tommy Eytle), when they are rehoused by the council in 1990 after Etta acquires a new job teaching at Walford Primary School. Celestine is put in an awkward position in 1990 when he discovers that Arthur Fowler (Bill Treacher) is working and signing on for dole money at the same time. He eventually decides that he cannot 'turn a blind eye' to Arthur's fraudulent behaviour and turns him in to the authorities at his work, but his self-righteous attitude earns him few friends on the square. Celestine is unwavering with his expectations of his offspring.

At the time Mayim Bialik signed on for the pilot, she had recently worked on another sitcom project for Fox, entitled Molloy. Both NBC, which had bought the Blossom pilot, and Fox were planning to broadcast both Bialik projects in 1990, with either of the two set to continue as a regular series beyond its preview/tryout run, depending on which was more successful. The pilot episode of Blossom was taped in the spring of 1990, and was the first of the projects to air, with NBC broadcasting the pilot as a special on July 5, 1990. Four weeks later, Fox commenced a seven-episode tryout run for Molloy, whose episodes had been produced in 1989, prior to Bialik signing on for the NBC pilot.

On August 29, 1999, BKN was re-positioned as an action-oriented block; it was referred to internally as "Bulldog TV" because the block's bumpers featured an animated bulldog.

At the end of February 2014, Weil was confirmed as signing on for another Shonda Rhimes project, having been cast as Bonnie Winterbottom, an assistant to Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) in the ABC series How to Get Away with Murder, which premiered during the 2014–15 television season. Speculation about Dempsey's exit from Grey's Anatomy began in November, 2014, when Dempsey casually mentioned during an interview that he might be leaving the series very soon. Despite signing on for two more years at the end of the tenth season of the show, he disclosed that he would make his final appearance in the eleventh season. The official statement was released on April 23, 2015, just a few hours before the airing of "How to Save a Life".

He started his career with WA Premier League club Floreat Athena, later signing with Croatian second division side NK Slavonija Požega. He returned to Floreat Athena for the 2006 season and was playing so well that he was snapped up halfway through the season by Perth Glory. In the 2006/2007 A-League season Magdić played 5 times and scored 1 goal, but he did not remain on the Perth Glory roster for the 2007/2008 season as Ron Smith did not renew his contract. After a great season with Floreat Athena in 2007, in which he helped the club to their first Premiership in 10 years, he received a trial with A-League club Queensland Roar before signing on for Perth Glory for the second time but he never played a game due to injury.

The band planned to return to Australia in the start of December to play shows possibly through to January and February 2010, eventually signing on for Homebake festival and Bird's Robe Collective's end- of-year showcase at the Annandale Hotel in December; and significantly as the only Australian band to undertake the full Soundwave festival through February and March. At the fourth annual AIR Awards held on 22 November 2009 Closure in Moscow's First Temple was nominated for Best Independent Hard Rock/Punk Album. In May and June 2010 the band completed a headlining tour of Australia, with support from Adelaide's Secrets in Scale and For This Cause in Brisbane. Following this, Closure in Moscow returned to the US to play the entire 2010 Van's Warped Tour. In early 2011 the band's website confirmed that drummer Beau McKee and bassist Brad Kimber were no longer members of the band.

Showrunner Angela Kang also confirmed that this episode would be the last episode of this season for Lauren Cohan as Maggie, due to previous commitments she had made for the show Whiskey Cavalier prior to signing on for the ninth season, though it is uncertain yet if she will return to the show; Kang stated they have additional stories they can tell with Maggie's character should Cohan be able to return. As to close out Maggie's story, they introduced the scene with Maggie and Negan which took place much later in the comic book series (after the introduction of the Whisperers). This gave them a way to move Maggie forward and beyond her obsession with Negan, should Cohan be able to return. The cabin that Rick stops to rest was modeled after the cabin from the film The Evil Dead, including a replica of its Necronomicon on the table.

In the first episode, when Terry asks Bob how things have changed while he was away, Bob mentions that they can now receive BBC2, with Terry replying that they were able to before he left. BBC2 did not arrive in the North East until 1967, which implies that Terry had not joined the Army. During the episode "Moving On", when discussing the various changes in Newcastle during Terry's time away, he asks if "there is one pre-1967 brick left standing on top of another" and in the episode "I'll Never Forget Whatshername", Terry, Bob and Thelma all refer to a shared trip to Blackpool Illuminations in September 1967, further implying that Terry had not yet joined the Army at that point.

On 22 March 2003, Vujošević was announced as head coach of the Serbia and Montenegro national basketball team, reigning European and World champions, with the upcoming EuroBasket 2003 in Sweden being his first order of business. Taking over for Svetislav Pešić and signing on for two years plus an optional third year with the Basketball Federation of Serbia and Montenegro (KSSCG), Vujošević took the national team job in parallel with his head coaching duties at KK Partizan. On 21 August 2014, Arthur joined Conference Premier side Woking on a one-month loan deal after struggling to make an impression in the Wimbledon side. Two days later, Arthur made his Woking debut in a 1–1 draw against Welling United, playing the full 90 minutes. On 6 January 2015, after numerous loan extensions to his Woking contract, Arthur joined the Cards permanently after his contract was mutually terminated by AFC Wimbledon. Arthur went on to make 17 more appearances before signing on for the 2015/16 campaign. On 8 June 2016, Arthur joined League Two club Crawley Town on a one-year deal. On 9 August 2016, Arthur made his Crawley Town debut in a 2–1 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers in an EFL Cup tie. On 3 September 2016, Arthur made his league debut for Crawley Town in a 3–0 away defeat against Portsmouth, replacing Andre Blackman in the 52nd minute. On 31 January 2017, Arthur returned to his former side Woking of the National League on loan on a one-month deal.

WGVL and WAIM took the case to the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, seeking injunctive relief from the FCC ruling, in the summer of 1954. Despite the legal fight it was facing, by the fall of 1954 WGVL-TV had increased its broadcast hours, signing on for three hours in the morning and six hours in the evening on weekdays plus extended weekend operating hours. On January 31, 1955, the appeals court heard arguments by WGVL and WAIM against the WSPA-TV authorization on Paris Mountain, having obtained six months prior a restraining order preventing Spartan from building its transmitter facility until the case was heard (though the studios were near completion and initial preparations had been made on Paris Mountain). While WGVL and WAIM claimed that the FCC should not have granted the application without giving them a hearing, the commission argued that they did not have standing to show injury that would be caused by WSPA-TV going on air, and that the procedure the stations sought to use was the improper forum to delay such a grant.
