The chapel was built in 1834. A stone World War I memorial tablet is next to its entrance door outside and indoors is a framed Roll of Honour to local men who died in World War II. The village had a small and possibly shortlived Latter Day Saints congregation in 1851.Reprinted extract from Victoria History of Shropshire, Volume VIII, published 1968. The village has had two pubs, The Royal Oak and The Windmill Inn, a shop and a school house which are all now private houses.

Following the defeat of the Egyptians at Gura, Woldemichael went into open revolt against Yohannes, vowing to destroy his rival Hailu in the process, culminating in the defeat of Hailu during the Battle of Weki Duba. Unable to consolidate power in the northern provinces, Yohannes sent messengers to Woldemichael offering to forgive his past crimes if he submitted to him. Woldemichael adamantly refused, leading to Yohannes' appointment of loyalist Ras Baryaw Gebretsadiq as Governor of Hamasien. Ras Baryaw's governorship was however shortlived, with Woldemichael confronting and soundly defeating him at Biet Mekae near Asmara.

Anthony Coyle, the first Bishop of Raphoe to take up residence in Letterkenny, established a classical academy during the eighteenth century. Then, in the following century, Bishop Patrick McGettigan appointed a priest as a teacher of Greek, Latin and mathematics at a building on Castle Street in 1825. The school was abandoned by the mid-1830s due to a priest shortage and a professor having died. A further school followed during the 1830s, close to the current college, though it too was shortlived, as was another school in the town during the 1840s.

He participated in the Congress of Aix-la-Chapelle in September 1818 as a representative of Baden and of neighbouring Württemberg. In December of the same year he took over the editorship of a publication owned by the wealthy industrialist-publisher Johann Friedrich Cotta, and relocated to Stuttgart. Tony James joined the band Chelsea with Billy Idol and the two later started Generation X. According to Chelsea drummer John Towe, Jones and Simonon teamed up with Joe Strummer and founded The Clash. Ultimately, The London SS members were more famous for what they did later than they were for anything that they accomplished during the band's existence.

Arroyo Grande Community Hospital (AGCH) was founded in 1961 and has been operated by several different owners. In 1992, the facility was purchases by Vista Hospital System, a non-profit California based healthcare system. Vista operated the facility until 2003 when it entered bankruptcy and sold AGCH, along with French Hospital Medical Center and Corona Regional Medical Center, to for-profit Universal Health Services in a $120,600,000 transaction. Operations under UHS were shortlived however, when UHS soon after sold AGCH and French Hospital Medical Center to Catholic Healthcare West in early 2004 for $32.5 million.

Dian made the bad-to-worse trip by dating Frits Van Houten, one of Meerdijk's most influential businessmen, and becoming his wife. Jef and Karin disapproved, although the former attended the wedding after all. Van Houten was murdered soon afterwards by being electrocuted in his bath-tub; his jealous secretary Hannie, whom he'd made pregnant during their shortlived affair, was falsely imprisoned as the culprit.

Korea Professional Football Reserve League (Hangul: R리그), or R League for short, is the league for reserve teams of professional association football clubs in South Korea. The league started in 1990 with five reserve teams of K League member clubs -POSCO Atoms, Yukong Elephants, Daewoo Royals, Hyundai Horangi and Lucky-Goldstar Hwangso. POSCO Atoms won the inaugural title, finishing two point ahead of Yukong Elephants to lift the crown. But league was shortlived for only 1 year and reserve teams participated in semi- professional tournaments such as the National Football Championship.

Abu al-Hasan Simjur was subsequently given the governorship of Khurasan, while Abu Ja'far Utbi was made vizier. However, Abu Ja'far's term as vizier turned out to be shortlived, due to Abd al-Malik's lack of experience, and the influence of the military commanders. He tried to replenish the depleted treasury, but this seemingly caused discontent; in 959, Abd al-Malik had him dismissed and appointed Abu Mansur Yusuf ibn Ishaq in his stead. The following year (960), Abd al-Malik replaced Abu al-Hasan Simjur with Abu Mansur Muhammad as the governor of Khurasan.

In 1981, the unit was able to capture footage of the coup d'etat attempt that was used by news media across the world. The unit held an important role in Gambian media, alongside Radio Gambia and the Gambia News Bulletin. The unit became part of Gam TV, The Gambia's first TV station, which was shortlived before it became itself part of Gambia Radio & Television Service (GRTS) in 1995. Sagnia and others involved in the unit have since been described as "pioneers" of Gambian film by Gambian filmmaker Prince Bubacarr Aminata Sankanu.

The reason for the shortlived promotion was for salary relief for players on their injured reserve list. Upon returning to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the AHL, Sundqvist played on the team's third line alongside Dominik Uher and Tom Kostopoulos. He appeared in 30 games for the team until he was reassigned to their AHL affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage, on 31 January. His stint in the AHL was shortlived and he spent the majority of the 2017–18 season with the Blues, appearing in 42 games altogether.

Although he went through recovery for his addiction to cocaine and alcohol, following his divorce from Sellecca in the mid 1980s, his compulsive eating habits increased and he would find himself devouring huge portions of fried take-out food, along with gallons of ice-cream and cookies. By 1988, he weighed and used a self-help treatment for his addiction, though he estimated that his weight problem had cost him work opportunities in the region of a million dollars. By 1990, having slimmed down to , he returned to network television with the show E.A.R.T.H. Force, but the series was shortlived.

Company logoAllied Film Makers was a shortlived British production company, formed in November 1959, which produced several films.Sally Dux, 'Allied Film Makers: Crime, Comedy and Social Concern', Journal of British Cinema and Television 2012 9:2, 198-213 Producer Sydney Box came up the idea of forming a consortium of film-makers that would distribute the films they made. Box had to drop out of the company owing to illness, but four partnerships agreed to join: Basil Dearden and Michael Relph; Jack Hawkins; Richard Attenborough and Bryan Forbes; and Hawkins's brother. Guy Green later joined the Forbes- Attenborough group.

As the Knights were waiting on key players to return from their respective NHL clubs, the Knights began the season with a rocky start and a 1-4-0 record. On November 3, 2017, Thomas was named captain of the Knights, alongside alternate captains Sam Miletic, Max Jones, Cliff Pu, and Evan Bouchard. Shortly thereafter, he recorded the game winning goal to clinch coach Dale Hunter his 700th regular season win. His run as captain was shortlived, however, as on January 8, 2018, Thomas was traded to the Hamilton Bulldogs in exchange for Connor McMichael and five draft picks.

According to Everett Rogers, the conflict was "shortlived and inconsequential." However, 350 of the internees were separated from the rest and put into a stockade, where they remained for several months, and seventeen others were sent to the internment camp at Fort Stanton. There was no further conflict at the camp, even after another 399 men from the Tule Lake Center were brought in. Camp Santa Fe remained open after the war ended on September 2, 1945, to be used as a holding a processing center for the relocation of Japanese internees back to where they had come from .

The Canadian Screen Award for Best Cinematography in a Documentary is an annual award, presented as part of the Canadian Screen Awards program to honour the year's best cinematography in a documentary film. It is presented separately from the Canadian Screen Award for Best Cinematography for feature films. On two prior occasions, at the 1st Genie Awards in 1980 and at the shortlived Bijou Awards in 1981, awards were presented for Best Cinematography in a Documentary (Non-Feature), covering short documentaries and television programs, but not for feature documentaries. Nonetheless, the winners and nominees in those years have been included below.

Jost joined the Avalanche immediately to help close out the franchise's worst season in Denver, making his NHL debut in a 2–1 shootout victory over the St. Louis Blues on March 31, 2017. He scored his first NHL goal with the Avalanche in a 4–3 defeat to the Minnesota Wild on April 6, the team's final home game of the season. He attending the Avalanche's training camp prior to the 2017–18 season and made their opening night line up. His stay in the NHL turned out to be shortlived as he suffered a lower-body injury and missed eight games.

In 1972 the Marble Room briefly became home to the jazz club Royal Birdland which managed to attract international artists such as Count Basie and Duke Ellington. In October 2017, Griffin planned to go on a co- headlining tour, the Bebe & Bassy Tour with American singer and songwriter Bebe Rexha in support of Bassy's debut album Gossip Columns, released on October 13, and Rexha's EP All Your Fault: Pt. 2. However, the tour was shortlived due to an infection putting Rexha on strict vocal rest. In March 2018, Griffin went on a US tour with fellow Bay Area artist Rexx Life Raj for his debut album.

Kunji realises gladly that she is pregnant with Othenan's child. The Far East Command, under Marshal of the Soviet Union Aleksandr Vasilevsky, had a plan for the conquest of Manchuria that was simple but huge in scale by calling for a massive pincer movement over all of Manchuria. The pincer movement was to be performed by the Transbaikal Front from the west and by the 1st Far East Front from the east. The 2nd Far East Front was to attack the center of the pocket from the north. The only Soviet equivalent of a theater command that operated during the war (apart from the shortlived 1941 "Directions" in the west), Far East Command, consisted of three Red Army fronts.

It is revealed that Suraiyya didn't actually kill Rehan's wife but she committed suicide. She later married her old flame, billionaire Peter Stavros though the marriage was shortlived, and then married her old friend Frank Agretti. Angela was almost killed by Charley St. James, who tried to smother her with a pillow. She was left in a coma for several months before making a full recovery and returning home. During the Great Depression, West's principal contribution to the Harlem Renaissance was to publish the magazine Challenge, which she founded with $40 in 1934, the final issue being published in spring 1937. At the same time, Doug finds out that Laurel is remarrying Ashley, which concerns him due to Ashley's condition; he has dementia. Laurel later miscarries her and Ashley's baby, and Doug realises he does not agree with Ashley and Laurel's marriage, and tried to talk Laurel out of it, but this only results in a rift in their relationship. They later reconcile on Laurel's hen night party, where Doug also discovers Laurel is still pregnant, and Doug witnesses Laurel and Ashley married the following day. Their happiness is shortlived as Ashley suffers a "mini-stroke" which results in him losing months from his memory, leading him to believe he is still dating Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton).

Tianning Temple Pagoda was built in Liao Nanjing in 1120. Nanjing was the name for modern Beijing during the Liao dynasty, when Khitan rulers made the city the southern capital. To distinguish Nanjing, which literally means "Southern Capital" in Chinese, from modern Nanjing in Jiangsu Province and Beijing Damingfu, the Northern Song Dynasty name for modern Daming County in Hebei Province, Chinese historians sometimes refer to Beijing during the Liao dynasty as Liao Nanjing (). The Khitan rulers of the Liao acquired the city, then known as Youzhou, in the cession of the Sixteen Prefectures in 938 from the Later Jìn, one of the five shortlived dynasties that ruled northern China following the end of the Tang Dynasty.

He returned to the Leafs lineup only to suffer a season-ending separated shoulder injury during the teams' final home game against the Buffalo Sabres on 4 April. Due to the 2012–13 NHL lockout, Gunnarsson was released by the Leafs in order to playout the season with his hometown team Örebro HK. After the lockout ended, Gunnarsson returned to North America and continued the season with the Toronto Maple Leafs. However, his time in the lineup was shortlived as he underwent treatment to rehabilitate a hip injury after playing in seven games. Gunnarsson was cleared to play for the Leafs prior to the 2013–14 season and made their opening lineup.

Kormiltsev was born on 14 March 1946 in Omsk, joining the Soviet Army in 1965 and graduating from the Omsk Higher Combined Arms Command School four years later. In 1978, he graduated from the Frunze Military Academy and became a deputy division commander. Kormiltsev later became the division commander, leading it during the Soviet–Afghan War. After returning from Afghanistan, he took command of a district training center in Omsk, part of the Siberian Military District. In 1990, Kormiltsev graduated from the Military Academy of the General Staff, and became commander of the 36th Army Corps of the Turkestan Military District, which became the shortlived 52nd Army between July 1992 and May 1993.

Due to the often steep terrain and high amount of rainfall supporting dense vegetation, the interior of the Fiordland region is largely inaccessible. As a result, Fiordland was never subjected to notable logging operations, and even attempts at whaling, seal hunting, and mining were on a small scale and shortlived, partly also because of the challenging weather. KVEG originally signed on the air in 2001 as a Mainstream Urban outlet targeting the African-American audience. But by 2002 they would shift to a Rhythmic Contemporary Hits direction by adding Rhythmic Pop and Dance product (The latter they would scale back on) competing with KLUC and KVGS. After KVGS switched to Urban Contemporary in late 2002 (now an AAA format), KVEG gained more competition from KWID but was shortlived; it later on gained competition as well from rhythmic adult stations KPLV (now Mainstream Rock) and KOAS (as of 2009). By 2008, KVEG began to top KLUC after the latter started to shift towards mainstream (it shifted back to Rhythmic until 2014).

Cumbria 2 was a shortlived competitive rugby union league at tier 8 of the English rugby union system run by the English Rugby Football Union for club sides based in Cumbria. Richards appeared primarily in dramas, but made turns into comedy as well, appearing in "The Town Tamer" episode of Tim Conway's 1967 western sitcom Rango, and in a 1969 episode of Get Smart as a villain named Ironhand who had assumed leadership of KAOS, but whose reign was shortlived as Maxwell Smart thwarted his plans. He appeared as the mutant leader Mendez in the 1970 apocalyptic science-fiction film Beneath the Planet of the Apes. After Deckard parted way with their label, Gordon went on to make music with Dave McLean and Paul Westwater as Regency Buck, recording an album in 2001 with Mark "Spike" Stent for Dreamworks. This was a shortlived project but did pave the way for forming Union of Knives in 2004, again with Dave McClean and with Craig Grant sharing lead vocals. Union of Knives put out the album Violence & Birdsong on Relentless Records in 2006, which was described by The Guardian as "dance- rock...a nocturnal rendezvous between Muse and Massive Attack." The album included the track "Opposite Direction" which received both BBC Radio 1 airplay and was used on the American TV shows The Vampire Diaries and Grey’s Anatomy.

Edmund Beale Sargant (1855–1938) was a colonial administrator in the British Empire, particularly notable for his policy of introducing English in the South African educational system in the first years of the twentieth century, as Director of Education for the Transvaal and Orange River Colony under Alfred Milner, and in the aftermath of the Second Boer War. The Sargant Report (1905) was important for the future of education in the Transvaal. Sargant founded and funded a shortlived school in Hackney, London, called 'School Field'. Its purpose was to demonstrate that children could be given a better education if their teachers were not bound by a narrow curriculum and were not required to focus on success in attainment tests in order to ensure school funding.

From 1705 to 1710 he undertook a series of excavations along the Via Appia in the vigna Moroni,The cippus, excavated here in 1701, inscribed C. Fannius Hellanicus, (CILvi.17713) found its way into Pope Clement XI's shortlived Museo ecclesiastico , was noted in the Vatican Library and is today in the Capitoline Museums (Christian Hülsen, Il museo ecclesiastico di Clemente XI Albani, Rome, 1890, cat. no. 6). the Moroni vineyard, which revealed ninety-two funerary chambers decorated with frescoes and mosaics, which provided material for his Bolla d'oro (1736); the excavation was supported by Cardinal Filippo Antonio Gualterio, who purchased many of the antiquities discovered.

His stay in the NHL was shortlived, however, as he was re-assigned to the Rampage on 23 January after Erik Johnson was activated from injured reserve. The following year, Zadorov made the Avalanche's lineup out of training camp and remained on their roster for the entirety of the 2016–17 season. In February 2017, Zadorov collided with forward Mikko Rantanen during practice and suffered a season-ending fractured ankle injury. At the time of the incident, he had recorded 10 assists and no goals in 56 games. The paper faced competition both from the Ottawa newspaper Le Droit, which made a shortlived attempt to expand into Northern Ontario in the 1960s, and from L'Information, the monthly French publication of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario. Several times in the 1950s and 1960s, due to financial constraints the paper published editions which repeated all of the same journalistic content as the previous week's issue, with only the date in the masthead changed. By 1968 the paper was nearly bankrupt, and Yvonne Lemieux sold it for just one dollar to the Centre des jeunes de Sudbury, which ceased general commercial distribution and converted the publication into its internal monthly newsletter. Following the newspaper's demise, the new community newspaper Le Voyageur was launched the same year.

The Technical Group of the European Right no longer had enough MEPs to qualify as a Group, and its MEPs returned for the time being to the ranks of the independents. The members of the European Democrats joined the European People's Party (EPP), some as associate members such as the British Conservatives who did not wish to subscribe to the EPP's pro-federalist position. Despite the merger, the EPP failed one more to become the largest party; the Party of European Socialists once more claimed victory, with a 41-seat lead over the People's Party. Forza Italia was elected for the first time in 1994; it formed its own shortlived group, Forza Europa, before this merged with the European Democratic Alliance a year after the election to become the Group Union for Europe.

Musa (also spelled Mousa), also known as Thea Musa, was queen of the Parthian Empire from 2 BC to 4 AD. Originally an Italian slave-girl, she was given as a gift to the Parthian monarch Phraates IV () by the Roman Emperor Augustus (). She quickly became queen and a favourite of Phraates IV, giving birth to Phraataces (Phraates V). In 2 BC, she had Phraates IV poisoned and made herself, along with Phraates V, the co-rulers of the empire. Their reign was shortlived; they were forced to flee to Rome after being deposed by the Parthian nobility, who crowned Orodes III as king. Musa is the first of only three women to rule in Iranian history, the others being the two 7th-century Sasanian sisters Boran () and Azarmidokht ().

In 1937, technetium (specifically the technetium-97 isotope) became the first predominantly artificial element to be produced, hence its name (from the Greek , meaning "Craft or Art", + One shortlived gamma ray-emitting nuclear isomer, technetium-99m, is used in nuclear medicine for a wide variety of tests, such as bone cancer diagnoses. The ground state of the nuclide technetium-99 is used as a gamma-ray-free source of beta particles. Long-lived technetium isotopes produced commercially are byproducts of the fission of uranium-235 in nuclear reactors and are extracted from nuclear fuel rods. Because no isotope of technetium has a half- life longer than 4.21 million years (technetium-97), the 1952 detection of technetium in red giants helped to prove that stars can produce heavier elements.

Consequently, many churches built during this time conquered this situation by employing a local glazier (lead and plumbing tradesmen) to make a "stained glass" window using local materials. These materials consisted of sheets of imported stained glass in a limited range of colours (generally crimson, purple, green, blue, yellow, and amber) that the glazier would cut into simple, non-figurative, geometric designs. This naive style was shortlived as by the 1850s the goldrushes brought wealth to the colony and the ability to commission windows from Britain or from newly arrived British trained stained glass artists. This research is ongoing and when completed could prove that this style of stained glass windows represents a rare, local response to the fashionable Gothic Revival movement by non-trained glass artists using locally available materials.

Diplomatic exchanges between Russia and Denmark date back to the fifteenth century, with the signing of a mutual assistance pact in 1493 between the Grand Duchy of Moscow and the Kingdom of Denmark. In 1700 a permanent diplomatic mission of the Tsardom of Russia was established in Denmark in 1700, and in 1893, during the period of the Russian Empire, representation was upgraded to the level of embassies. Despite the disruption to international relations caused by the Russian Revolution in 1917, diplomatic contacts were quickly established between the nascent Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, with the appointment of Vatslav Vorovsky as diplomatic representative to the Scandinavian countries of Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Vorovsky's appointment was shortlived, as countries began withdrawing diplomatic recognition of envoys from the Soviet state, and there followed a period without representation until the appointment in 1923 of as representative of the Soviet Union to Denmark.

Some of the goons brought a guardrail out from under the ring which was propped up in the opposite corner, and as Gacy was about to powerbomb Strickland through the guardrail, Sami Callihan, Dezmond Xavier and John Silver came out to make the save. Sullivan travelled to America hoping to fight but the trip was marred by illness and he returned home. On 12 April 1912, after suffering ill-health for some time, Sullivan relinquished his British title and announced his retirement from boxing, intending to undertake a sea voyage to regain his health. His retirement was shortlived and he returned with a first round knockout of Pat Bradley in July 1912.
