He drew away from the field to win by seven lengths in a time of 1:09.53.

He made his debut at Del Mar in his next start, the Shared Belief Stakes on August 26. Under the allowance conditions of the race, he carried top weight of 124 pounds along with Gormley and Cistron. Wearing blinkers for the first time, he stalked the early pace set by Cistron and Gato Del Oro. Moving around the far turn, he made a strong move to take the lead, then continued to draw away down the stretch to win by lengths.

Battle of Midway (January 30, 2014 – February 23, 2019) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse best known for his upset victory in the 2017 Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile. He also finished third in the 2017 Kentucky Derby before winning the Affirmed Stakes and Shared Belief Stakes that year. Briefly retired to stud in 2018, he proved sub-fertile and was returned to racing that summer. In his second career, he won several stakes races including the Native Diver and San Pasqual.

Game Winner is a bay colt who was bred in Kentucky by Summer Wind Equine, owned by Jane Lyon. His sire Candy Ride was undefeated in seven starts in Argentina and the United States, and has had growing success as a breeding stallion. Candy Ride's most successful offspring include Horse of the Year Gun Runner and champion Shared Belief. Game Winner's dam Indyan Giving was an unraced daughter of leading sire A.P. Indy, out of champion older mare Fleet Indian.

In 2014 he rode Bayern to a gate-to- wire victory in the Breeders' Cup Classic in a time under two minutes. That race has been subject of much debate due to a stewards' inquiry into the start of the race where Bayern moved to the inside at the start, in front of favorite Shared Belief. Controversy erupted over the question of whether Garcia's mount should have been disqualified for interference in the first few feet out of the gate.

Nakatani placed the gelding just behind the leaders before taking the lead in the straight and accelerating clear in the closing stages to win by five and three quarter lengths. In January 2014, Shared Belief was named Champion Two-Year-Old Male Horse at the Eclipse Awards, beating Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner New Year's Day by 115 votes to 99. He became only the fourth 2-year-old male champion to have bypassed the Juvenile since that race was created in 1984.

Even the very idea of the individualist–socialist divide is contested, as some types of individualist anarchism are largely socialistic. Other criticisms point out that people who volunteer to psychology lab studies are not representative of the general population and also are behaving in ways that do not reflect how they would behave in real life. As a three-year- old, he won the UAE Derby in Dubai and was then campaigned in the United States. He finished second to Shared Belief the Pacific Classic before producing his most notable performance when beaten a nose by Bayern in the $5 million Breeders' Cup Classic.

He broke his maiden in his fourth try in a mile Maiden Special Weight at Del Mar on July 28, where he defeated future graded-stakes winner Curlin Road by 8 3/4 lengths. He made his next start in the inaugural running of the mile Shared Belief Stakes on August 26 at Del Mar. He ran in third position most of the race, before taking the lead on the final turn and holding off Taman Guard and Semper Fortis to prevail by half a length. After his win, he was the favorite in the 1 1/8 mile GII Los Alamitos Derby.

Shared Belief, the Champion 2-year-old colt of 2013, was based at the track and won several races there. With the loss of Bay Meadows to developers in 2008, Golden Gate Fields has become Northern California's only major racetrack (aside from the racetracks associated with the summer fair circuit). The California Horse Racing Board (CHRB) sets the specific racing dates each year, but there is customarily a long winter/spring meet running from late December to mid June, and a fall meet running from mid October to mid December. Shared Belief (February 15, 2011 – December 3, 2015) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse. As a two-year-old, the gelding was unbeaten in three races, including the Hollywood Prevue Stakes and CashCall Futurity, and was named American Champion Two-Year-Old Colt for 2013 at the Eclipse Awards. As a three-year-old, an injury kept him out of the 2014 Kentucky Derby, but he returned later in the year and won four races including the Los Alamitos Derby, Pacific Classic, and Awesome Again Stakes, but lost his unbeaten record when finishing fourth as the favorite for the Breeders' Cup Classic. He returned from his defeat in the Breeders' Cup to win the Malibu Stakes on his final appearance of the year.

Scottish soldiers, identified as of Donald Mackay, 1st Lord Reay's regiment, in service of Gustavus Adolphus (1630–31) During the 1638 to 1651 Wars of the Three Kingdoms, all sides were 'Royalist', in the sense of a shared belief monarchy was divinely inspired. Barkun has adopted this term to refer to how the synthesis of paranoid conspiracy theories, which were once limited to American fringe audiences, has given them mass appeal and enabled them to become commonplace in mass media, thereby inaugurating an unrivaled period of people actively preparing for apocalyptic or millenarian scenarios in the United States of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Barkun notes the occurrence of lone-wolf conflicts with law enforcement acting as proxy for threatening the established political powers.

In the June edition of the World's Best Racehorse Rankings, Golden Horn was rated the joint-second best racehorse in the world, three pounds behind American Pharoah and level with Shared Belief and Able Friend. After the Eclipse win the British Horseracing Authority's handicapper gave Golden Horn a rating of 130, a mark for a three-year-old equalled only by Frankel since 1996. The July edition of the World's Best Racehorse Rankings saw Golden Horn overtake American Pharoah to become the world's highest rated racehorse, but dropped back into second behind the American Triple Crown winner in August. In the end of year rankings he was rated the second-best racehorse in the world, four pounds behind American Pharoah: he was rated the best horse in Europe, the best horse on turf and the best horse in the long- distance division.

In the summer of 2014, Toast of New York was sent to the United States, making his American debut in the Grade I Belmont Derby (formerly the Jamaica Handicap) over ten furlongs on turf at Belmont Park on 5 July. The 9/2 third favourite behind Adelaide and Bobby's Kitten, he started poorly before making progress a quarter of a mile from the finish but faded in the closing stages to finish sixth of the ten runners behind the 23.5/1 outsider Mr Speaker. In the following month, he was sent to California and matched against older horses for the first time when he contested the Grade I Pacific Classic on the Polytrack surface at Del Mar. Ridden by Victor Espinoza, he was third choice in the betting behind the undefeated three-year- old gelding Shared Belief and the multiple Grade I-winning veteran Game On Dude.

The National Pact was first introduced to the public on October 7, 1943 by Riad Al Solh in his ministerial declaration in attempts to present a uniquely Lebanese identity, separate from both the western world and the eastern world. They chose to depict the National Pact as a representation of the fundamental base for shared belief between the different sects of Lebanon. Additionally, the elite reiterated that this was the only way Lebanon could attain independence and that though Sunni's may be unhappy with the lack of union with Syria, the definition of Lebanon as an Arab state is the best form of compromise. Unfortunately, for the Lebanese elite, however, this was no guarantee that the public would receive it well especially because the assumption that the Lebanese public would immediately support the National Pact simply because of the elite consensus wasn't an accurate one.

He has been an active member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences since 1985, serving eight years on the Board of Governors, and twenty-five years as Chairman of a National Screening Committee for the Grammy Awards. As a social activist and philanthropist, Thomas supports numerous charities, environmental initiatives and grass roots community organizations, including the Women's Earth Alliance, Global Green, the Jane Goodall Institute, Free the Slaves and MusiCares. In 2002 he founded the Common Ground Interfaith Forum in Philadelphia, to "support personal and social transformation, and build bridges of goodwill and understanding between people of different cultures and faith traditions." As Executive Director of Common Ground (2002–2008), Thomas established the Common Ground Choir, a performing ensemble of singers and musicians of diverse faiths and cultural backgrounds who celebrate a shared belief in the possibility of a less divided world.

In Enter the Matrix, Trinity appears in a scene where she faces off against Ghost in a practice spar, the two subsequently discussing their shared belief that Neo can defeat the Machines. Over the course of the game, it is heavily implied, although never expressly stated, that Ghost is in love with Trinity, but that she regards him as a brother for their having been freed from the Matrix at or near the same time. Her role in The Matrix: Path of Neo is relatively similar to her appearances with Neo in the films; she has a spar with him during his sword-fighting training, accompanies him during the raid on the military building to rescue Morpheus (subsequently helping him to defeat an Agent on the rooftop), and is later rescued by him from some attacking Agents after the last meeting with the assorted ship captains. Trinity also appears in The Animatrix and The Matrix Comics.

Whereas calls to re-establish pre-Christian belief systems existed within the German and Austrian far-right nationalist movements during the early twentieth century, in Russia the situation was different. In Russia there was a shared belief among the intellectual circles that Slavic paganism had survived within the "folk Orthodoxy" of the common people (which was regarded as a dvoeverie, a "double faith"), and the Old Believers' movements. The study of this syncretic popular religion and philosophy was the foremost interest for late nineteenth and early twentieth-century Russian intellectuals: early revolutionaries (Alexander Herzen, Nikolay Ogarev, Mikhail Bakunin), Narodniks (Populists), and early Bolsheviks were inspired by the radical forms of society practised within folk religious communities, which in many ways were precursors to socialism. Vladimir Bonch-Bruyevich was assigned by the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party the task of studying folk religious movements, and in 1908–1910 a faction of the Bolsheviks, represented by Anatoly Lunacharsky, Alexander Bogdanov, Maxim Gorky, and Vladimir Bazarov, formulated the "God-Building" movement (Bogostroitelstvo), whose aim was to create a new religion for the proletariat through a synthesis of socialism with folk religion.
