He studied at Douay College, France, becoming a priest in 1628. He worked secretly as a priest in a wide area of Yorkshire, finally settling back to Ugthorpe in the 1660s. He is one of the 85 English Catholic Martyrs of England and Wales beatified by Pope John Paul II in November 1987.

Jean was born in Rockhampton in 1925, married Ivan Barnes Verschuer in the 1951 and remarried Laurence Brodie-Hall in 1980. She has four siblings. She studied nursing at the Children’s Hospital (now Princess Margaret Hospital), working in London and Melbourne, before settling back in Perth with her family in the late 1940s. He was sent to the mission on 29 June 1630, and worked in England for the Catholic religion, finally settling back to Ugthorpe, not far from his birthplace, in the 1660s.

Adrian Cole was born in Plymouth, Devonshire in 1949. Cole's father was in the Army, and Adrian spent three years with his family in Malaya when he was a young child, before settling back in Devon. He drove pitchers crazy by stepping out of the batter's box after each pitch and starting his routine, which consisted of (1) adjusting his helmet, (2) adjusting his batting glove, making sure it was tight on his hand and especially the thumb, (3) pulling each sleeve on his uniform up about an inch, and (4) wiping each hand on his uniform pants – and then sometimes repeating the whole process again – before finally settling back into the box. Towards the end of his career this trait was very well known and often commented upon by broadcasters. Adding further to his "Human Rain Delay" moniker was his extremely fine bat control, which allowed him to foul off countless pitches.

From the late 1890s until 1968 Lavernock and the nearby bays of St Mary's Well and Swanbridge (with its low tide walk out to Sully Island) were popular and busy holiday locations for regular day trippers from the South Wales Valleys, Newport, Cardiff, Penarth and Barry and the beaches were packed with visitors on most weekends and Bank Holidays throughout the summer. The hundreds and sometimes thousands of holidaymakers were served refreshments by an ice cream parlour, two busy cafes, the Golden Hind public house and the three star Lavernock Bay Hotel. Very few visitors arrived by car until the 1960s with the majority travelling by the half-hourly steam trains that stopped at Lavernock and Swanbridge Halts on the busy Taff Vale Railway Line en route to Barry Island. Lavernock started settling back to quiet seclusion in the late 1960s when the railway line closed down under the Beeching Axe.

The original Australian run of Family Feud was produced for the Nine Network, recorded at GTV-9's Melbourne studios in Bendigo Street, Richmond. It debuted on TCN-9 Sydney on Monday 20 February 1978, stripped Monday to Friday at 5pm, with Tony Barber as host. From Monday 6 November it was moved to 5:30pm. Continuing to air without a break over the 1978-79 Christmas/summer season, Family Feud was moved temporarily into The Young Doctors' 6pm timeslot from Monday 27 November, before settling back into a Monday-Friday 5:30pm schedule on Monday 5 February 1979. The season ended on Friday 16 November. The show's third season commenced on Monday 11 February 1980, continuing to be stripped in the Monday-Friday 5:30pm slot. Tony Barber's last episode as host aired on Friday 11 July, moving on to host Sale Of The Century. Daryl Somers took over as host, with his first episode airing the following Monday, 14 July.

The film develops with a very slow pace, and The New York Times critic Stephen Holden praises this in his review: > As deliberately paced as a late-afternoon amble around a homestead, the > movie occasionally stops in its tracks to take a deep breath and soak in > more of the rural atmosphere. Although this tendency to dawdle may frustrate > viewers accustomed to a barrage of visual stimulation, the movie's unhurried > rhythm eventually works a quiet spell, and after a while you find yourself > settling back, adjusting to the film's bucolic metabolism and appreciating > its eye and ear for detail. Holden also compliments the acting, particularly that of Nicholson, whom he describes as "luminous in an utterly natural way". Kenneth Turan of the Los Angeles Times also commends the film's pace, stating that the "deliberate speed goes hand in hand with its unmistakable sense of place, its attraction to the rhythms of farm life and the unhurried sensibility of its small-town Nebraska setting".

Romney campaign event in Toledo, Ohio Romney continued to seek support from a wary Republican electorate; at this point in the race, his poll numbers were relatively flat and at a historically low level for a Republican frontrunner. After the charges of flip-flopping that marked his 2008 campaign began to accumulate again, Romney declared in November 2011: "I've been as consistent as human beings can be." In the final month before voting began, Newt Gingrich experienced a significant surge – taking a solid lead in national polls and most of the early caucus and primary states – before settling back into parity or worse with Romney following a barrage of negative ads from Restore Our Future, a pro-Romney Super PAC. In the initial contest, the 2012 Iowa caucuses of January 3, election officials announced Romney as ahead with 25 percent of the vote, edging out a late-gaining Rick Santorum by eight votes (an also-strong Ron Paul finished third).

The Walsh parents struggle to understand the reasons behind Brenda's dropping out of Minnesota's university program and moving home, but are more concerned that Brenda is choosing not to go to university in California either, and saying that her failure to succeed in Minnesota was proof that she isn't cut out for higher education at all. Despite the character's desire to be the master of her own destiny, Brenda Walsh continues to teeter between making rational and irrational decisions, and struggles with the "all or nothing" mentality that plagues most young adolescents, ironically narrowing their opportunities at the very time they are trying to spread their wings and join the world as adults. While settling back into being home in Beverly Hills, Brenda spends the first few days of her return hanging out at the Peach Pit and cruising around town with Dylan, as he has decided not to enter university either. But after some heart to heart discussion, both Brenda and Dylan decide to give California University a chance, and they both enroll.

Von Braun's early years at NASA included a failed "four-inch flight" during which the first uncrewed Mercury-Redstone rocket only rose a few inches before settling back onto the launch pad. The launch failure was later determined to be the result of a "power plug with one prong shorter than the other because a worker filed it to make it fit". Because of the difference in the length of one prong, the launch system detected the difference in the power disconnection as a "cut-off signal to the engine". The system stopped the launch, and the incident created a "nadir of morale in Project Mercury". After the flight of Mercury-Redstone 2 in January 1961 experienced a string of problems, von Braun insisted on one more test before the Redstone could be deemed man-rated. His overly cautious nature brought about clashes with other people involved in the program, who argued that MR-2's technical issues were simple and had been resolved shortly after the flight.

" She also noted that Carol's interview was one of the most interesting scenes of the episode, inferring of her transformation from "victim to killer, heroine, and tough-as-nails fighter, described herself as a former housewife, happiest when cooking and homemaking." Zack Handlen for The A.V. Club gave the episode an A-, complimenting the writing team for its improvement on structure over the course of the series, and called the episode one of his favorites of the season. He praised the scene involving Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride)'s interview and the character of Carl Grimes and his struggle settling back into a normal lifestyle. He also adulated the prospect of a new status quo, saying: "Another reason that “Remember” works is that it’s the first time in a while that the show has suggested the possibility of a new status quo, one that could significantly affect how things work from now on." He further assessed that "What comes across most clearly in “Remember” is the uber-competence of the central ensemble, their skills as survivors, their hesitance to accept the possibility of peace, and their ruthlessness once they realize they might have found a new home.

Walsall RFC was formed in 1922. Historically part of Staffordshire they were first members of the North Midlands Rugby Football Union before joining the Staffordshire Rugby Union as it became established in the 1960s. In the 1970s and early 1980s Walsall would become one the most successful clubs in Staffordshire rugby winning the inaugural Staffordshire Senior Cup during the 1976–77 season and would go on to win the cup 5 times in the first 10 years of the competition. The advent of league rugby in 1987–88 saw Walsall placed in Courage Midlands 1, which was the top division of the region, ranked at tier 5 of the English rugby union system. The club did not stay in this division for long and in 1988–89 they finished as champions and gained promotion to the national leagues, to what was then known as Area League North (now National League 2 North). The 1990s were a chaotic time in the English league system due to RFU restructuring and this was both to Walsall's benefit and detriment as they yo-yoed between the divisions, dropping to division 5 in 1993–94, all the way up to division 3 (the highest level in the club's history) by 1996–97, before settling back into division 4 by the turn of the century.
