In 2008, the O'Donovan brothers were selected for the Irish junior team at the Home International Regatta held in Cardiff, Wales, and won gold in the junior quad sculls. Paul O'Donovan also competed in the single sculls; he became the junior single sculls champion of Ireland when he was 15, and was placed fourth in the 2011 World Junior Championships. When he was 19, he won the bronze medal in the men's lightweight sculls at the World Rowing U23 Championships held in Linz, Austria.

Galina Mikhailovna Mitrokhina (née Samorodova, then Konstantinova; ; born 14 February 1940) is a retired Russian rower. She won bronze in the single sculls at the 1962 European Rowing Championships in East Berlin. Between 1963 and 1967 she won five more European titles in single and quad sculls. She also won six national titles in single (1962–1966) and quad sculls (1967).
Hermann Joseph Barrelet (25 September 1879 - 24 April 1964) was a Swiss-born French rower. He won gold medals in single sculls at the 1900 Summer Olympics and 1901 European Championships. Barrelet continued to compete in single sculls into his thirties, but had better achievements in team events, winning European titles in the men's eight (1909) and double sculls (1913, with Anatol Peresselenzeff).
The Double Sculls Challenge Cup is a rowing event for men's double sculls at the annual Henley Royal Regatta on the River Thames at Henley-on-Thames in England. It is open to male crews from all eligible rowing clubs. Two clubs may combine to make an entry. On the centenary of the regatta in 1939 a Centenary Double Sculls event was introduced.

Wolfgang Güldenpfennig (born 20 December 1951) is a retired East German rower who competed at the 1972 and 1976 Summer Olympics. In 1972 he won a bronze medal in the single sculls event, whereas in 1976 he became Olympic champion in the quadruple sculls. Güldenpfennig won two world titles in the quadruple sculls, in 1975 and 1977, as well as a European bronze medal in the single sculls in 1973. After retiring from competitions he worked as a rowing coach, training Karl-Heinz Bußert, Uwe Heppner, Uwe Mund and Martin Winter.
In total, he competed at five World Rowing Championships, and his best result was third, at the 1990 in Tasmania, Australia. Verdonk was sixth in the single sculls at the 1987 World Rowing Championships in Copenhagen, and was fifth in the single sculls at the 1991 World Rowing Championships in Vienna. In 1994, Verdonk won the double sculls event at the Commonwealth Championships in Ontario, Canada, and finished second in the quad scull event. Verdonk also won a single sculls event at the Henley Royal Regatta, becoming the first New Zealander to win the event.

In 1972 he partnered Tim Crooks to win the Double Sculls Challenge Cup at Henley and won the double sculls with Crooks, at the inaugural 1972 National Rowing Championships.. Delafield and Crooks competed for Great Britain at the 1972 Summer Olympics in the double sculls and came fifth overall. Delafield was President of Leander Club from 2003 to 2008.
Playford was born in Chingford, Essex, and was part of a rowing family which included his brother Francis Playford. He was in business in the City of London as a timber merchant.British Census 1881 RG11 0838/88 p 12 He won the Diamond Challenge Sculls in 1854 and later that year won the Wingfield Sculls with a row-over. In 1855 he lost both the Diamond Challenge Sculls and the Wingfield Sculls to A. A. Casamajor who was to be the major force in rowing for the next six years.
Gulov's first appearance in the World Rowing Junior Championships was in 1997 in the quadruple sculls event (23rd). In 1998 and 1999 he won the Junior Championships gold medals in the single sculls event. In 2000 he won the gold medal in the U-23 World Regatta in the double sculls event with Andrei Šilin. Ivan Viktorovych Dovhodko (born 15 January 1989) is a Ukrainian rower. He competed in the quadruple sculls at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. He won the gold medal in the quadruple sculls at the 2014 World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam, setting a new world's best time. He has won a gold, two silvers and a bronze in the quadruple sculls at European level.

Lucia Palermo (born 30 September 1985) is an Argentine rower. At the 2004 Olympics, she competed in the women's lightweight sculls with Milka Kraljev, finishing in 17th place. She competed in the single sculls race at the 2012 Summer Olympics and placed 3rd in Final D and 21st overall. At the 2012 South American Rowing Championships, she and Maria Gabriela Best won the women's double sculls.

In 2013, the team of Schoof, Schulze, Grohmann and Paul Heinrich won the European quadruple sculls title. That team then came second to Croatia at the 2013 World Championships. In 2015, Schoof, Schulze, Wende and Hans Gruhne won the men's quadruple sculls at the World Championship. This was the team that retained the Olympic title when the German quadruple sculls team won gold at the 2016 Olympics.
Francesco Fossi (born 15 April 1988) is an Italian rower. He competed in the Men's quadruple sculls event at the 2012 Summer Olympics and the men's double sculls at the 2016 Summer Olympics. In the later event, he finished fourth with teammate Romano Battisti. He has also won a silver medal in the men's double sculls, again with Battisti, at the 2014 World Rowing Championships.
Annekatrin Thiele (born 18 October 1984 in Sangerhausen) is a German rower. She competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics, where she won a silver medal in double sculls with Christiane Huth. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she again won a silver medal, this time in the women's quadruple sculls. She has also twice won World Championship gold, both times in the women's quadruple sculls.

Jessica Hall (born 13 July 1992) is an Australian rower. She competed in the women's quadruple sculls event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She is a former World Champion and World Record Holder in the Quad Sculls in 2012.
Hedstrom began rowing during her first year of high school on a club team called Community Rowing, Inc.. She continued her rowing career at the University of Wisconsin, where she was a member of the lightweight eight that won gold in the 2006 and 2008 Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship as well as gold in the 2006, 2007, and 2008 Eastern Sprints. She is a six-time USRowing national team member (2007–08, Under 23; 2009–12, Senior). After college, Hedstrom won gold in the lightweight double sculls and lightweight quadruple sculls at the 2009 USRowing National Championships, won the lightweight single sculls at the 2009 Head of the Charles Regatta, and won gold in the lightweight single sculls and lightweight double sculls at the 2010 USRowing National Championships. She competed in the lightweight double sculls at the 2012 Summer Olympics with team-mate Julie Nichols.

Fiona Bourke (born 16 October 1988, Dannevirke) is a New Zealand rower. She won the 2014 World Championship in the women's double sculls with Zoe Stevenson, having won the silver medal in the same team the year before. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed in the Women's quadruple sculls. She was also part of the New Zealand women's quadruple sculls team that won bronze at the 2011 World Championships.
In 1976 Hale won the Diamond Challenge Sculls event at the Henley Royal Regatta. Hale made his national representative debut as Australia's single sculls entrant event at the 1976 Montreal Olympics. He placed second in his heat, missed the A final and placed eight overall. At the 1978 World Rowing Championships in Lake Karapiro he was selected as the single sculls competitor and finished in overall tenth place.
Anatol Peresselenzeff (; 1889–1956) was a pioneer Russian rower and rowing coach. Competing in single sculls he won both the Russian (1908, 1909 and 1914) and French championships. In 1913 he also won the European title in double sculls, rowing with Hermann Barrelet; he was disqualified in the single sculls race, together with Giuseppe Sinigaglia. Peresselenzeff was born in a wealthy family and took up rowing in 1903.
In 2009, Delayre was part of the French men's lightweight quadruple sculls time at the World Championships. He was also part of the French under-23s men's lightweight quadruple sculls at the 2006 and 2007 Junior World Rowing Championships. Delayre was not picked for the French team at the 2016 Olympics, after he was beaten by the younger rower Pierre Houin in the individual sculls at the French national trials.
However, because there was a £10 prize attached to it, he was criticised by the Wingfield Sculls committee. For this reason, Playford objected to racing Bone in the Wingfield Sculls so Bone, representing Meteor Club, won on a row-over. Flood was born in Harrogate, Yorkshire, and was a Great Britain junior judo international and a county level 1500m and cross–country runner and shot–putter before she took up rowing. She won a Bronze medal at the 1998 World Junior championships in the Double sculls along with partner Frances Houghton. The following year they both won Gold in the Double sculls at the World Under 23 Championships. In 2000 Flood won Gold in the Single Sculls at the World Under 23 Championships and the single sculls national title rowing for the Tideway Scullers School at the 2000 National Championships.
She first represented her country in rowing at the 1995 World Rowing Championships in Tampere, Finland, where she came ninth in the women's quadruple sculls. From 1997 onwards, she competed in the single sculls, and at the World Rowing Championships in 1997, 1998, and 1999, she placed tenth, tenth, and fifth, respectively. At the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics, she continued to compete in the single sculls, placing sixth and fifth, respectively. She won a silver medal in the 2001 World Rowing Championships in the quadruple sculls, alongside Paula Twining and twins Caroline and Georgina Evers-Swindell.
Spero defeated the reigning Olympic champion V. Ivanov of the U.S.S.R in the preliminary heats, advancing to the finals and finishing sixth. Also in 1964, he won a bronze medal in the single sculls at the European Championships in Amsterdam. In 1965, Spero was training on Lake Zurich with Martin Studach and Melchior Bürgin and went with them to Henley Royal Regatta, where he won the Diamond Challenge Sculls and Studach and Bürgin won the Double Sculls, both setting new Henley course records. Spero also won the Gold Medal at the 1965 Duisburg International Regatta and the U.S. Quadruple sculls championship.
In April 2016, Paul and Gary O'Donovan won silver in the lightweight double sculls at the first World Rowing Cup events of the year in Varese, Italy. In the following month, the pair won the 2016 European Rowing Championships gold medal in the double sculls in Brandenburg, Germany. In August 2016 at the Rio Olympics, the O'Donovan brothers won silver behind France in the lightweight double sculls, the first rowing medal won by Ireland in the Olympics. In 2017, the brothers won silver in men's lightweight double sculls at the European Rowing Championships in May 2017.
Webb was born at Lyttelton, the port of Christchurch, New Zealand, on 21 January 1880 and was educated at Christchurch Boys' High School. In his youth he was a natural athlete being prominent in running and cycling but he turned his attention to rowing. He won various amateur events between 1896 and 1905/06, not only in single sculls but also in doubles and fours. In his last season as an amateur he won the Champion Single Sculls and the Champion Double Sculls events at Picton, and later the Senior Single Sculls at Wanganui, and thus became the amateur New Zealand Champion.

Václav Kozák (14 April 1937 – 15 March 2004) was a Czech rower who competed for Czechoslovakia at the 1960, 1964 and 1968 Olympics. In 1960, he won the gold medal in double sculls together with Pavel Schmidt. In 1964 and 1968 he placed 12th and 9th in the single sculls, respectively. At the European championships Kozák won four medals in various events between 1959 and 1965, including a gold in single sculls in 1963.
Tian Liang (; born 4 February 1986 in Mohe, Daxing'anling, Heilongjiang) is a female Chinese rower, who competed in the women's double sculls for the Chinese team at the 2008 Summer Olympics with team-mate Li Qin. They finished in 4th place. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she was part of the Chinese women's quadruple sculls team that finishing in 5th place. She and Li Qin were World Champions in the double sculls in 2007.
Henri Steenacker (22 April 1926 – 25 August 1993) was a Belgian rower. He competed in the single sculls at the 1952 Summer Olympics and in the double sculls at the 1956 Summer Olympics, together with his brother Fernand, but failed to reach the final on both occasions. Steenacker won a bronze medal in the double sculls at the 1957 European Championships, together with Gérard Higny. Steenacker died aged 67 in a cycling accident.
Houghton won the GB Rowing Senior Trials (2000–04). Houghton and Sarah Winckless finished ninth in the double sculls at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. At the 2001 World Rowing Championships in Lucerne she finished seventh in the double sculls with Debbie Flood. Whilst living and working in Seville as part of her degree course, she competed in the 2002 World Rowing Championships, finishing fourth in the double sculls with Debbie Flood.
William Stout (1841–1900) was a British rower who won the Wingfield Sculls and the Diamond Challenge Sculls at Henley Royal Regatta in 1868. Stout was born at Brentford. He was an iron merchantBritish Census 1881 RG11 2529/6 p8 and was in China prior to 1868. He was a member of London Rowing Club and in 1868 won the Diamond Challenge Sculls at Henley and was member of the Stewards' Challenge Cup winning crew.
He competed at Henley Royal Regatta for more than two decades, winning: the Silver Goblets & Nickalls' Challenge Cup for coxless pairs seven times (twice with Andy Holmes, once with Simon Berrisford and four times with Matthew Pinsent); the Stewards' Challenge Cup for coxless fours five times; the Diamond Challenge Sculls twice; the Double Sculls Challenge Cup with Eric Sims then with Adam Clift; and the Queen Mother Challenge Cup for quadruple sculls.

She competed in lightweight single sculls in the 1995 World Rowing Championships and came twelfth. She then went to the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, USA, where she competed in the women's lightweight double sculls, where she came ninth partnered with Ou Shaoyan.
She also rowed for the Tideway Scullers School and the Upper Thames Rowing Club. Eyres competed in the women's double sculls event at the 1992 Summer Olympics. She was part of the coxless pairs with Joanne Gough that won the national title rowing for the British squad at the 1990 National Championships. Israel Morris is credited with founding the club, and was elected as its second president. As the name of the club suggests, membership was restricted to "Bachelors"; however shortly after its founding Bachelors opened its doors to married men. Now the vast majority of the club's 150 members are women. Darcy Hadfield c. 1920 After the war Hadfield competed at the Inter-Allied Games where he won the single sculls. The same year, 1919, he won the Kingswood Cup for single sculls at the 1919 Henley Regatta. He was then part of the first separate New Zealand Olympic team and was the only medallist.
Douglas V Melvin (born 1928) is a British rower who twice won the Wingfield Sculls, the amateur sculling championship of the River Thames. Melvin was born at Lancaster. He took a job there with the Electricity Board, and was working there and rowing for John O'Gaunt Rowing Club when he won the Wingfield Sculls in 1955.Wingfield Sculls Record of Races He was encouraged by Eric Phelps to join London Rowing Club and was able to transfer his Electricity Board job to Wandsworth in order to do so.
Fularczyk's preparation for the 2012 Summer Olympics was disrupted by a family tragedy and injury, but the team of Fularczyk and Michalska still won the bronze medal. After this event, she returned to sculling with Madaj. She also has a World Championship medal in the women's quadruple sculls (from the 2013 World Championships), with Sylwia Lewandowska, Joanna Leszczynska and Natalia Madaj. As well as her international titles, she has also won four Polish national championships (single sculls 2009, double sculls 2006, 2007 and 2009, all with Julia Michalska).

The same team was 5th at the 2007 European Rowing Championships held in Poznań, Poland. At the 2008 European Rowing Championships in Marathon, Greece he won a gold medal in the quadruple sculls event with Jüri Jaanson, Tõnu Endrekson and Andrei Jämsä.
At the 2017 New Zealand rowing nationals at Lake Ruataniwha, she became national champion in both the lightweight and premier open single sculls. She is the second New Zealand rower to achieve this feat, with the previous double taken by Philippa Baker in the 1987–88 season. At the 2017 World Rowing Championships in Sarasota, Florida, she won a silver medal in the lightweight double sculls partnered with Jackie Kiddle. At the 2018 World Rowing Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, McBride and Kiddle came sixth in the lightweight double sculls.
At the 2017 New Zealand rowing nationals at Lake Ruataniwha, he partnered with Chris Harris in the men's double sculls and they became national champions. Manson also became single sculls national champion, aided by the absence of both Mahé Drysdale and Hamish Bond. In 2014, Manson came out as gay being one of the first LGBT persons in rowing from New Zealand. In 2017, Manson won the men's single sculls at the World Rowing Cup II in Poznań, Poland, setting a new world best time of 6:30.74, beating Mahé Drysdale's record by 3 seconds.
Thomas Lange (born 27 February 1964) is a German rower who won two gold and one bronze Olympic medals in the single sculls. Lange, along with Mahé Drysdale, Pertti Karppinen, Peter-Michael Kolbe, Ondřej Synek and Vyacheslav Ivanov, is the only rower to win medals in the single sculls in three different Olympics. His first international appearance was at the 1980 World Rowing Junior Championships, where he won the gold medal in the double sculls (2x). He then went on to win the singles title in the next two Junior World Championships.
Loe first competed in rowing internationally in 2010, when she attended the World Rowing Junior Championships in Račice, Czech Republic. She came 11th with the junior women's quadruple sculls. In the 2011 trials at Lake Karapiro to determine the country's squad, she teamed up with Jennifer Storey, the younger sister of John Storey. At the 2011 World Rowing U23 Championships in Amsterdam in the Netherlands, she came fourth with the U23 women's quadruple sculls. Joseph George Harris Wright Jr. (March 28, 1906 – June 7, 1981) was a Canadian rower who competed in the 1928 Summer Olympics and in the 1932 Summer Olympics. He was inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame in 1955. In 1928 he became only the second Canadian to win the coveted Diamond Challenge Sculls at the Annual Henley Royal Regatta, and won the Olympic silver medal with his partner Jack Guest in the double sculls competition. He also competed in the single sculls event and finished fifth after being eliminated in the quarter- finals.

Jürgen Bertow (born 21 April 1950) is a retired German rower. He won a bronze medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics and a silver at the 1975 World Championships in the double sculls, as well as a world title in the quad sculls in 1974. For these achievements he received the Patriotic Order of Merit in 1974 and 1976.
Romero has won world championships in both cycling and rowing; as a rower, she won a silver medal at the Athens 2004 Olympics in the quadruple sculls, and the following year was part of the British crew that won the 2005 World Championships in the quad sculls. Suffering from a persistent back injury, Romero retired from rowing in 2006.

Frank Lumley Playford (1855–1931) was a British rower who won the Wingfield Sculls five times and the Diamond Challenge Sculls at Henley Royal Regatta in 1876. Playford was born at Putney, the son of Francis Playford and his wife Emily Augusta. His father and uncle Herbert Playford were both eminent oarsmen. He became stockbroker in his father's business.
Gisela Jäger is a retired German rower who won three gold and one silver medals in the double sculls at the European championships of 1968–1971, together with Rita Schmidt. Nationally, she won all single scull titles between 1958 and 1965, as well as double sculls in 1968–1970. She later married the rower Achim Hill.

He also wrote about rowing. Brickwood was born in Luton, Bedfordshire, the son of Edwin Latham Brickwood and his wife Elizabeth Ann Dampier. He became a civil servant.

Matthew Wells was born in Bradford and grew up in Hexham, where he learnt to row on the River Tyne as a pupil at Queen Elizabeth High School. In 1996 he won the Single sculls at the Coupe de la Jeunesse, and won gold in the Double sculls at the World Rowing Junior Championships in 1997. He took bronze at the World Under 23 Rowing Championships in 1999, after missing out on competition for a year due to injury. In 2000, he took gold in the Single sculls at the World Under 23 Rowing Championships, then represented Great Britain at the 2000 Summer Olympics, finishing in ninth place. In 2003, Wells came fifth in the World Rowing Championships in Milan in the men's Double sculls with Ian Lawson.
Each nation might qualify one boat for each of the fourteen events. The majority of the berths will be awarded based on the results at the 2019 World Rowing Championships, held in Ottensheim, Austria from 25 August to 1 September 2019. Places are awarded to National Olympic Committees, not to specific athletes, finishing in the top 9 in the single sculls (both men and women), top 5 in the eights, top 8 in the fours and quadruple sculls, top 7 in the lightweight double sculls, and top 11 each in the pairs and double sculls. Further berths will be distributed to the nations (and in this case to specific competitors) at four continental qualifying regattas in Asia and Oceania, Africa, Latin America, and Europe, and at a final Olympic qualification regatta in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Jämsä's debut in the World Rowing Championships took place in Milan, Italy in 2003, where he competed in the double sculls event with Kuzmin earning 9th position overall. Jämsä won his first World Championships medal in 2005 in Gifu, Japan in the quadruple sculls event with Tõnu Endrekson, Leonid Gulov and Jüri Jaanson when they finished third after Poland and Slovenia. In the 2006 World Championships held in Eton, Great Britain Jämsä was again the strokesman in the bronze-winning quadruple sculls team with Endrekson, Kuzmin and Allar Raja. Gold medals went to Poland and silver medals to Ukraine.

Britta Oppelt (born 5 July 1978) is a German Olympic-medal winning sculler. Oppelt was born in Berlin, and competed in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, in the double sculls, and took home the silver medal along with teammate Peggy Waleska. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she was on the German quadruple sculls team that won the silver medal, along with Annekatrin Thiele, Carina Bär and Julia Richter. In 2008, she was part of the German quadruple sculls team that won the bronze medal at the Beijing Olympics, along with Manuela Lutze, Kathrin Boron and Stephanie Schiller.
At the 1973 European Rowing Championships, the coxed four team came fifth. He then changed boats and competed at the 1974 World Rowing Championships in Lucerne, Switzerland, in double sculls with his brother Frank; they won a silver medal beaten by a team from East Germany. At the 1975 World Rowing Championships in Nottingham, the Hansen brothers won the world championship title in the double sculls. In 1976, the brothers won a gold medal at the Montreal Olympic Games in the same boat class. At the 1977 World Rowing Championships, Hansen competed in the single sculls and came tenth.
LMBC was founded in 1825 by twelve members of the College as the first college boat club in Cambridge. In its original rules, the Club was to "consist of eighteen contributing members, besides honorary ones", and all members had to be able to row. An early member was Patrick Colquhoun who in 1837 instigated the Colquhoun Sculls, in the year in which he won the Wingfield Sculls. The greatest influence in the 1860s and 1870s was J. H. D. Goldie, who raised LMBC to the "Headship of the River", won the "Colquhoun Sculls", and stroked Cambridge four times.
Craig was part of the British team that topped the medal table at the 2015 World Rowing Championships at Lac d'Aiguebelette in France, where she won a silver medal as part of the lightweight quadruple sculls with Brianna Stubbs, Ruth Walczak and Eleanor Piggott. At the 2016 World Rowing Championships in Rotterdam, Craig was part of the gold medal-winning team in the women's lightweight quadruple sculls, along with Brianna Stubbs, Eleanor Piggott and Imogen Walsh. She won a bronze medal at the 2019 World Rowing Championships in Ottensheim, Austria as part of the lightweight double sculls with Imogen Grant.

In 1936 Southwood partnered Jack Beresford in the double sculls for Great Britain rowing at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin. With Adolf Hitler watching, Beresford and Southwood came from a length down to pass the Germans with 200 metres to go and won the gold medal.
He had covered 3,000 miles on the water before his first attempt at the title and won it at his fifth attempt in 1956, aged 41.Wingfield Sculls Record of Races Two years earlier, in 1954, he and his partner Tony Fox, astonished the rowing world by beating the Russian silver medallists in the Double Sculls at Henley Royal Regatta. He had beaten Fox, twice winner of the Diamond Sculls, in the first tideway Scullers Head earlier that year. Marsden was retired early from his house at Eton, then becoming first a stockbroker and then a farmer.
Alfred Cecil Dicker (12 March 1852 – 8 December 1938) was an English clergyman and rower who won the Diamond Challenge Sculls at Henley Royal Regatta three times and the Wingfield Sculls twice. Dicker was born at St John's Wood, London,British Census 1881 the son of John Campbell Dicker. He was educated at Winchester College and entered St John's College, Cambridge in 1871, migrating to Downing College, Cambridge in 1877 and gaining his BA in 1879. He kept up rowing throughout his time at Cambridge, rowing for Lady Margaret Boat Club. He challenged for the Wingfield Sculls in 1872.
Joachim Dreifke (born 26 December 1952) is a German rower who competed for East Germany in the 1976 Summer Olympics and in the 1980 Summer Olympics. He was born in Greifswald. In 1976 he won the bronze medal in the Olympic single sculls event. Four years later he and his partner Klaus Kröppelien won the gold medal in the Olympic double sculls competition.
Constant Elisa Pieterse (19 June 1895 – 27 March 1992) was a Dutch rower. He competed at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris with the men's single sculls where he was eliminated in the round one repechage. He competed at the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam with the men's double sculls partnered with Han Cox where they were eliminated in the quarter-final.
Jaroslav Hellebrand (born 30 December 1945) is a Czech rower who competed for Czechoslovakia in the 1968 Summer Olympics, in the 1972 Summer Olympics, and in the 1976 Summer Olympics. He was born in Prague. In 1968 he and his partner Petr Krátký finished twelfth in the double sculls event. Four years later he finished twelfth in the single sculls competition.

At European level, he is a two-time European champion, also in the quadruple sculls.
Natalie Dell O'Brien (born February 20, 1985), formerly known as Natalie Dell, is an American female crew rower. She won the bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the quadruple sculls event. Natalie won a silver medal at the 2011 World Rowing Championships in Bled, Slovenia in the Women's quadruple sculls event. She is a three-time American national team member.
Valeria Răcilă (later Roşca, later van Groningen, born 2 June 1957) is a retired Romanian rower. She first competed in double and quadruple sculls, winning bronze medals at the 1980 Olympics and 1979 and 1981 world championships. She then changed to single sculls, and won an Olympic gold medal in 1984 and silver medals at the world championships in 1982 and 1985.
Sinković followed his brothers, Matija and Martin, into rowing after injury stopped him playing football. Martin and Valent have been racing together internationally since 2008. In 2008 they won silver in the double sculls at the under-23s World Championships. In 2009 they, along with David Šain and Damir Martin, won gold in the quadruple sculls at the under-23 World Championships.
Lambert competed at the 2013 World Rowing Championships in Chungju, where he won a bronze medal as part of the quad sculls with Graeme Thomas, Sam Townsend and Charles Cousins. The following year he competed at the 2014 World Rowing Championships in Bosbaan, Amsterdam, where he won a silver medal as part of the quadruple sculls with Thomas, Townsend and Cousins.
