Searching through bars and at the shows of bands just getting their start, he found Flávio Suete, a drummer with the band "Nem" (Nor) and The Central Scrutinizer Band, a band that played covers of Frank Zappa. Flávio recommended Serginho Petroni, the bass player in the same band. Together they began to audition new guitarists. After months of auditions and rehearsals they discovered Heraldo Paarmann through an informal announcement on Radio Brasil 2000 FM. They continued rehearsing and played a few shows to tighten up their sound.

"Joe's Garage" is a single on Frank Zappa's 1979 album Joe's Garage Act I. After the introductory track, "The Central Scrutinizer", this song begins the story of Joe's Garage. Although it only charted in Norway and Sweden (where it was a top 20 hit in both countries), it was one of Zappa's songs which had the most airplay on American FM radio, at the time still album-centered. The song was played in concert from 1980 to 1988 along with the song "Why Does it Hurt When I Pee?" in all tours of Zappa's after the single's release. The single version of the song lacks many of the special effects that the album version contains.

Isaac Willis (born November 12, 1955) is an American vocalist and guitarist who was a regular member of Frank Zappa's studio and touring bands from 1978 until the last tour in 1988. He did not tour with Zappa in 1981 and 1982 because he wanted to be home for the birth of his two children, but returned to touring with Zappa for his final two tours in 1984 (which Zappa intended at the time to be his final tour) and 1988. He currently tours with the Frank Zappa tribute bands Bogus Pomp, Ossi Duri, Project/Object, Pojama People, Ugly Radio Rebellion and ZAPPATiKA. He also performed several times with the Brazilian Zappa cover band, The Central Scrutinizer Band, The Muffin Men, and with the Italian bands Ossi Duri and Elio e le Storie Tese .

Kloppers- Lourens held various positions during her wide ranging career as educationist. She started off as matric teacher (for which she received a merit award), became lecturer at two teacher training colleges, was appointed as scrutinizer/evaluator of manuscripts for text books, and occupied the post of a chief examiner for the Senior Certificate Examinations of the former Transvaal Education Department for many years. She was later promoted to chief curriculum researcher and developer to the Bureau for Curriculum Development and Evaluation where, inter alia, she acted as co-leader in a world first project for the evaluation of the broad curriculum presented in schools of the Department of Education and Culture: National Assembly. Kloppers-Lourens was also responsible for the compilation and presentation of radio programmes for the SABC on the core syllabus for History for several years.

"A Little Green Rosetta", by Frank Zappa, is the final song on the 1979 concept album Joe's Garage Acts II & III. The main character from this triple- album rock opera is faced with the decline of the music industry, and is forced to work on an assembly line placing little frosted rosettes on top of muffins at the Utility Muffin Research Kitchen facility (a self-reference to Zappa's own personal studio) Originally written for Läther, the song forms a coda for Joe's Garage, completing the song cycle of the album. The opening narration by Zappa as the Central Scrutinizer, describing his job at the facility, is nearly identical to the opening preamble to the 1975 song "Muffin Man" from Bongo Fury. "A Little Green Rosetta" is the only song on Joe's Garage where Zappa's entire studio band sings along to the chorus.
