The film has long been regarded as a cult hit, and was often viewed as superior to Rollerball, a much more expensive major studio drama released later in the same year; another dystopian science-fiction sports film similarly focusing on the use of dangerous sports as an "opiate" for the masses.

The latter was featured in the film Me, Myself and Irene and a Fiat Grande Punto TV advertisement in the UK. "Come In Hard (Don't Like Rock N' Roll)" was also featured in Rallisport Challenge, an Microsoft rally game and of the film 3000 Miles To Graceland. "Body Go" was featured in the film Rollerball. "Attitude" was featured in an episode of the USA series La Femme Nikita and in the third episode of Misfits.

In 2013, director John McTiernan was sent to federal prison for making a false statement to an FBI investigator in February 2006 about his hiring the private investigator Anthony Pellicano to illegally wiretap Charles Roven, the producer of the film, around August 2000. McTiernan (who was released in 2014) had been in a disagreement with Roven about what type of film Rollerball should be, and had hired Pellicano to investigate Roven's intentions and actions.

Tom Jones won the Academy Award for Best Picture, and Richardson received the Academy Award for Best Director for it. Subsequent to his "New Wave" films, Gibbs was nominated four times for the BAFTA Award for Best Editing, for the films Performance (directed by Donald Cammell & Nicolas Roeg-1970), Fiddler on the Roof (Jewison-1971), Rollerball (Jewison-1975), and A Bridge Too Far (Attenborough-1975). Gibbs has never been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Editing.

Killerball is a video game about a futuristic sports game published by Microïds in 1989 which blends American football with roller-skating, similar to the 1975 film Rollerball. This violent game is played in a circular rink where each 5-man team tries to score by putting the ball into the hole of the opposing team on the opposite sides of the track. Taking the ball from an opponent can only be done by knocking him down.

He pleaded guilty to perjury and lying to an FBI investigator in regard to his hiring of the private investigator Anthony Pellicano in late 2000 to illegally wiretap the phone calls of two people, one of whom was Charles Roven, a co-producer of his dystopian science-fiction action film remake Rollerball (2002). He was incarcerated in federal prison from April 2013 to February 2014. During his imprisonment, he filed for bankruptcy amidst foreclosure proceedings for his ranch residence.

His difficulty in properly assessing the Founders made him want to write a book that both acknowledged their achievements and punctured the myth that they were "demigods". He stated in an interview that he wanted to show that "these folks didn't completely understand what they were doing... They were improvising on the edge of catastrophe." Ellis did the research for the book personally, rather than working with research assistants. He wrote the manuscript by hand with a rollerball pen.

Eitan Kramer was a top American professional Vert Skater who holds a Guinness World Record for "highest air on a vert ramp." Kramer, a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of California Los Angeles, began his professional in-line skating career at age 15. Kramer received the Guinness Record during the 1999 MTV Sports and Music Festival 3D. As an actor, he appeared in Honeymoon With Mom (2006), "Tides of War" (2005) and Rollerball (2002).

During the 1972 Summer Olympics BMW branding was removed from the buildings to prevent product placement. BMW badging was also removed from the 2002 sedans, which accompanied Olympic marathon runners during the competition. The branding was removed again for the building's cameo appearance in the 1975 film Rollerball, replaced by large orange circles, meant to stand for the fictional ruling Energy Corporation of the future. The building also made an appearance in the 1977 horror film Suspiria.

Jonathan's popularity and longevity as a player threaten this purpose.

They manipulate, infiltrate, control, bribe, are contracted by and function as government. This is seen in the novels Jennifer Government and Oryx and Crake and the movies Alien, Avatar, RoboCop, Visioneers, Idiocracy, Soylent Green, THX 1138, WALL-E and Rollerball. Corporate republics are common in the cyberpunk genre, as in Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash and Philip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (as well as the film Blade Runner, influenced by and based upon Dick's novel).

The "Devo Corporate Anthem" song and video are a nod to the 1975 film Rollerball, in which games are preceded by players and audience standing solemnly while listening to a regional "corporate hymn." "Secret Agent Man" is a cover (with modified lyrics) of the song by P. F. Sloan and Steve Barri and performed by Johnny Rivers in 1965. An early demo version of "Secret Agent Man" had been featured in Devo's award-winning 1976 short film The Truth About De-Evolution.

Smith believed it would be well received in the Spanish rock scene, it was released in mid-1999 on Spanish power pop label, Snap Records. Allen and Smith played three acoustic shows in Madrid in January 1997. Later that year, after six months of sporadic playing in Perth, the band sought a new deal in Australia. David Hughes-Owen, the manager of Perth power pop label, Spinning Top, had known the band for years. Smith had offered Rollerball Candy to Hughes-Owen for Australian release back in January 1995, but at the time the label felt it did not have the money or network to support it.

The film received mixed reviews; however, it was praised by several high-profile critics, notably Roger Ebert, who gave it a 4 star review and called it one of De Palma's best films. The film has since developed a cult status amongst cinephiles. Femme Fatale currently holds a 49% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 136 reviews. At the 2002 Stinkers Bad Movie Awards, the film received nominations for Worst Director (De Palma) and Worst Actress (Romijn-Stamos, also for Rollerball).

The album charted at number 38 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers while the single "Wasted" peaked at number 37 on the Mainstream Rock Chart. The band were added to the 2001 Ozzfest lineup playing from June 8 through to August 12 as well as the Rolling Rock Tour and later toured Japan. Album track 1 A.M. was featured in the soundtrack for the 2001 horror film Valentine and TV series Smallville. Ride was featured on the soundtrack to the 2002 remake of Rollerball.

Naveen William Sidney Andrews (born 17 January 1969) is a British-American actor. He is known for numerous roles, such as Sayid Jarrah in the television series Lost, Kip Singh in the film The English Patient and Sanjay in the 2002 remake of Rollerball. For his role on Lost, Andrews was nominated for a Golden Globe in 2006, a Primetime Emmy Award in 2005 and received the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series in 2006.

From 1981 to 1984, LeParmentier was married firstly to the British actress Sarah Douglas, who is best known for playing the role of Ursa in Superman and Superman II. The two appeared in several films together, including Rollerball, The People That Time Forgot, and Superman II. He had three children with his second wife, Cheryl Le Parmentier: Rhiannon (b. 1986), Stephanie and Tyrone. He was staying with them at the time of his death. LeParmentier lived in Bath, Somerset, England.

In 1972, Box worked on Travels with My Aunt, for which he received another Oscar nomination. He won a BAFTA or his role on Jack Clayton's version of The Great Gatsby (1974), and won the award again the following year for Rollerball. Box's next two projects were 1977's Sorcerer (1977) and The Keep (1983), both of which were expensive and unsuccessful. He reunited with David Lean for the film A Passage to India (1984), for which Box received Oscar and BAFTA nominations.

Belardinelli and Gibbons later switched strips, with Gibbons drawing Dan Dare and Belardinelli drawing the Harlem Heroes sequel Inferno. When Gibbons took over Dan Dare in prog 28 the strip was refashioned as a "Star Trek" style space opera. Mills had also created Harlem Heroes, about the future sport of aeroball, a futuristic, violent version of basketball with jet-packs. Similar future sport series had been a fixture of Action, and the similarly-themed film Rollerball had been released the previous year.

A History Maker is a novel by Alasdair Gray first published in 1994. The sources of the novel are to be found in a play by Gray in the 1970s which was titled "The History Maker" (note the definite article). The novel was described in the Daily Telegraph as "Sir Walter Scott meets Rollerball" and is set in the future in the Scottish borders, when society is matriarchal and its male members amuse themselves with fighting battles as a spectator sport.

The Vista line is a mainly transparent demonstrator version and the AL-star features and anodized aluminum body and cap and semi- transparent grip section. In addition to the fountain pen, the Safari, AL- star, LX and Vista lines are also available in a ballpoint, rollerball, and mechanical pencil configurations. In 2016, Lamy released a more expensive variant of their AL-star line called the LX. The Lamy LX comes in five colours all named after precious metals (with the exception of Marron (a special edition).

The soundtrack features legendary surf rock guitar player Dick Dale. Three different Rollerball-style game modes are available for competition. Although it was well-reviewed by critics, the game was burdened by a general lack of pre-release press coverage, steep hardware requirements, and extensive delays of a patch which added LAN play, which together led to poor sales. As time passed it has suffered a classic example of software rot and compatibility issues have appeared, making it very difficult to install the game on modern systems.

The control building The unique round structure housing the control room for the station was used to represent the "World Control Center" building depicted in the 1975 movie Rollerball. Some scenes for the 2015 movie Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation were filmed on location at Fawley power station. The second series of British medical comedy Green Wing featured a scene that was shot in the control room. In the Red Dwarf (series XI) the episode "Give and Take" had a scene that was filmed inside the control room.

Alexi and his men capture Jonathan and kill Ridley after the latter successfully crosses the border. Following the escape attempt, Alexi tries to stage a public execution of Jonathan by removing all the rules from the upcoming Rollerball match, along with trading Aurora to the opposing team (as requested by Jonathan in an attempt to get away from danger). However, Jonathan, with the help of his teammates, start a revolution, causing the fans to see the sport for what it really is, and ultimately to kill Alexi.

William Neal Harrison (October 29, 1933 – October 22, 2013) was an American novelist, short story writer, and screenwriter. Three films were based on two of his works: The short story "Roller Ball Murder" was turned into a screenplay for the 1975 film Rollerball, with a remake in 2002. The novel Burton and Speke was turned into the 1990 film Mountains of the Moon. Five of his novels are set in Africa and his three volumes of short stories contain most of his fifty published stories.

The RB1 and FP1 models were produced until 1986, at which time Parker revised the pen by lengthening the cap and shortening the barrel and renaming the new pen the "Vector Standard". The science fiction aesthetic of the film is more pronounced compared to Kubrick's film with its retro-futuristic setting also recalling those of other 1970s science fiction films such as Soylent Green and Rollerball. However, the film isn't a mere copycat of Kubrick's masterpiece as it also has the feel and construction (story development-wise) of the Italian Giallo films of the time as well as this film genre's staple of gruesome murder scenes. It has also been argued that the film's graphic violence played an influence on some of Paul Verhoeven's films.

The stadium was the setting of a skit for Monty Python's Flying Circus in 1972, for The Philosophers' Football Match, in which Greek Philosophers played German Philosophers (plus Franz Beckenbauer) and the Greeks winning the game with a last-minute goal from Socrates. However, the skit was filmed instead at the Grünwalder Stadion. Parts of the 1975 film Rollerball were shot on the (then) futuristic site surrounding the stadium. American rock band Guns N' Roses filmed parts of their Estranged video there when they visited Munich in June 1993.

In 1997 the Chevelles and Spinning Top formed an agreement to see if the label could market Rollerball Candy. Spinning Top had an association with US label Not Lame, whose manager Bruce Brodeen was a fan of the group and accepted an offer to release some of their material. They had obtained the rights to its back catalogue so Not Lame had the choice of all tracks back to 1992. Brodeen put together a compilation, At Second Glance, concentrating on the band's melodic pop sound rather than its rock aspect.

Rimmer appeared mainly in supporting roles, especially in films and television series produced in the United Kingdom. He emigrated to England in 1959, after initially performing as a cabaret singer. The writing point is a tiny ball, usually 0.5 or 0.7 mm in diameter, that transfers the ink from the reservoir onto the paper as the pen moves.

The laughing at the beginning of the song is taken from the movie Horror Rises from the Tomb, The sound right after the laughing is from the movie I Drink Your Blood. Linda Miles of WWE used the song as an entrance theme for a short time in 2002, and it served as the theme song for WWE's No Way Out pay-per-view. The song also made an appearance on the Rollerball soundtrack and the 2006 video game FlatOut 2, along with the 2002 video game NHL Hitz 20-03.

Kirby's Pinball Land is a 1993 pinball video game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy. It was HAL Laboratory's third pinball video game after the MSX and NES title Rollerball and the Game Boy title Revenge of the 'Gator. It was also the first spin-off and second Game Boy title in the Kirby series, as well as the second pinball video game Nintendo published after the NES title Pinball. The game was rereleased on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console service in July 2012.

At the time of her marriage in August 1973 (see below), Kemp was reported to be hosting her own TV programme in London."Sydney beauty queen to wed business chief", Sydney Morning Herald, 5 August 1973, p 3. Notwithstanding the failure of the proposed Dr. Phibes franchise, she went on take small roles in several other films, including Rollerball (1975) and The Great Muppet Caper (1981), in which she appeared as a model. In April 1981, Kemp announced her intention to return to Australia permanently, due to the "depressing state of the British film industry".

The pinball machine rendered in Rollerball is composed of four screens, which, by proportion, would be about as long as two standard pinball tables if it were a real table. The graphics on two of the four screens are based on various aspects of the New York City skyline. The topmost screen (hereafter called the bonus screen) merely shows some clouds and a blimp. The second screen (the main screen) shows the top of the Empire State Building, while the third screen (intermediate) shows the lower skyline and the Statue of Liberty.

The game's premise was also compared to the 1975 film Rollerball. Action view in a game of the Disciples against the Blitzers There are four rounds in a match of Blitz, where two teams of four computer or human players score points for each energized Blitz disc thrown through their opponent's hoop, which is eight feet off the ground. Players pass and travel with the disc across the arenas, and the game continues without pause between points scored. The team with the most points at the end of a match wins.

The programme followed "four of Britain's most promising wrestlers" - Rockstar Spud, Marty Scurll and The Blossom Twins - who competed to receive a contract from TNA. The wrestlers were mentored by veteran professional wrestlers such as Hulk Hogan and Rollerball Rocco. In the season finale of British Boot Camp, which aired on 22 January 2013, Rockstar Spud was named the winner, receiving a contract with TNA. Following the finale, all four wrestlers performed with TNA as part of the "Road to Lockdown" tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The role has since been recast with Jennifer Lawrence playing the younger version of the character. She had her first leading role in Brian De Palma's Femme Fatale (2002). She also has starred in movies such as Rollerball, The Punisher playing a woman named Joan (Joan and Mystique are both characters from Marvel Comics) and Godsend. She played the leading role in Pepper Dennis, a short-lived TV series on The WB Television Network. In January 2007, Romijn made her first appearance on the ABC series Ugly Betty as a full-time regular cast member.

The economic structures of dystopian societies in literature and other media have many variations, as the economy often relates directly to the elements that the writer is depicting as the source of the oppression. There are several archetypes that such societies tend to follow. A theme is the dichotomy of planned economies versus free market economies, a conflict which is found in such works as Ayn Rand's Anthem and Henry Kuttner's short story "The Iron Standard". Another example of this is reflected in Norman Jewison's 1975 film Rollerball.

Warren Pleece also collaborated with Woodrow Phoenix on Sinister Romance, a comic published by Harrier Comics. He then collaborated with Irish writer Garth Ennis on the strip True Faith, serialised in Crisis and eventually published as a trade paperback. True Faith sparked some controversy in the UK with an article in the Daily Mail due to its story being critical about Christianity. Pleece contributed Second City Blues to the comic 2000 AD, which was a series set in a futuristic Birmingham, with teams playing a deadly sport similar to the one portrayed in the film Rollerball.

Hakmoun has also composed and recorded for several films such as Rendezvous in Samarkand directed by Tim Bridwell, The Past and the Present of Djemma El Fna by Steve Montgomery and the documentary Footsteps in Africa. Hakmoun appeared in several movies as an actor, dancer and musician, including Disney’s Jungle 2 Jungle in 1997 and Rollerball by John McTiernan in 2002. Today Hakmoun continues to record and perform in major festivals and venues around the globe, as well as give master workshops in universities. Most recently, Hakmoun started a project collaborating with other percussive dancers to create a new style of Gnawa dance.

The Chevelles recorded seven new tracks in May 1999 — their first full studio session since Rollerball Candy some four years earlier. Three of the seven songs (including a version of Air Supply's "Lost in Love") were completed to demo level and then shopped by Spinning Top to various labels throughout Australia, Europe and the US. San Francisco label Zip Records started negotiations for a US EP and album release and advanced funds for more recordings. Sun Bleached, a five-track EP, was released on Zip in October 2000. Zip Records' strong promotional network pushed the EP to over 300 college radio stations.

Check washing is the process of erasing details from checks to allow them to be rewritten, usually for criminal purposes such as fraudulent withdrawal from the victim's bank account. Various steps can be taken by the writer of the check to reduce the possibility of falling victim to check washing. These include mailing checks by placing them in secured mailboxes, using secure ink dispensed from a gel, rollerball, or fountain pen, filling in all lines on the check, and careful scrutiny of bank statements. The phrase "red red kroovy" is used by Alex DeLarge in the book and means "red red blood" ("kroovy", correctly "krov'", means "blood" in Russian). The lyrics include the phrases "See heaven, flash, a horrorshow..." and "...take me to the home..." which are also both references to the book. The audio sample "Use my body to keep you alive" is from the 1971 horror film The Curious Dr. Humpp. The song was included on the soundtrack to the movies Rollerball (2002) and Walking Tall (2004), as well as the Atari game Test Drive: Eve of Destruction.

In 2010 Clifford Hoad began with the composition of songs for the new album and formation of a new Kings of the Sun lineup – this time without his younger brother Jeffrey. In March 2013, new KOTS lineup entered Govinda Doyle’s private studio to record Cliff Hoad’s latest compositions. Quentin Elliott returned to play lead guitar and Dave Talon (Rollerball) joined on rhythm guitar. Drummer Cliff Hoad also took charge of singing, as he sang backing vocals on all previous albums and lead vocals on 2 tracks (shared with Jeff on Shot Me an Arrow & lead on I Wanna Rock).

A protégé of Argentina Rocca, he made his WWWF debut in September 1968. Cortes wrestled throughout the world during his near 15-year career including countries such as Guatemala, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Africa and most of Europe. While in Joint Promotions in the 1980s, he held the promotion's tag team championship as part of a kayfabe "brother" tag team with former student Al Bold Eagle. He was also a sometimes ally of Big Daddy in his feud with Wild Angus Campbell and wrestled the likes of Pete LaPaque, Rollerball Rocco, Lucky Gordon, "Superstar" Mal Sanders, Dr. Death and Skull Murphy.

Entitled Iowa, Slipknot's second album—released on August 28, 2001—peaked at number three on the Billboard charts and at number one in the UK. The album produced three singles; "The Heretic Anthem" (promotional single), "Left Behind" and "My Plague", which appeared on the soundtrack for the film Resident Evil. In 2002, Slipknot appeared in Rollerball (2002), performing "I Am Hated". The release and intense promotion of the album resulted in sold-out shows in large arenas in several countries. In mid-2002, Slipknot went on hiatus because of internal conflicts, and band members focused on side projects.

Cletus, Houston's former coach who brought Jonathan along and helped make him a superstar, is now an Energy executive as well as Jonathan's friend. He warns him that the Executive Committee is afraid of him, though he cannot learn why people so powerful would be afraid of a Rollerballer, even the best player in the world. Rollerball soon degrades into senseless violence as the rules are changed just to force Jonathan out.

It is a more permissive era, and life has become dull and boring for the world at large. Since everything is now permitted, nothing is exciting, and even the popular violent spectator sport of "rollerball" is treated as passé. Jimmy Hill, who is now a very old man with a long beard, greets sports on his programme with the same level of boredom as the rest of the population. The New Goodies, led by Bill Brooke-Taylor, want to add some excitement to the lives of the people, and to get them excited about something again.

A large number of new pen types were popularized in the 20th century. Some of them are not constructed to be refilled with ink after they run dry; although others can theoretically have their internal ink compartment replaced, the widespread custom is to simply throw away the entire pen when its ink is no longer accessible. These types include the ballpoint pen (often called a biro in many Commonwealth countries) and the felt tip pen. Both of these have subtypes which are popularly called by their own specific names, usually based on the type of their ink, such as the fluorescent highlighter, the rollerball pen, and the gel pen.

LeParmentier as Admiral Motti in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope After appearing in a Fringe theatre production that was broadcast by the BBC, LeParmentier was granted an Equity union membership card and toured with the Incubus Theatre Company. His first film role was as lawyer Felix Hoffman in the 1974's Stardust and the following year he appeared in the film Rollerball. He also made numerous appearances on British television. His most prominent role was that of Admiral Motti, the arrogant, mocking Imperial officer who is choked by Darth Vader in Star Wars (1977), after Vader finds his "lack of faith disturbing".

In 2005, the new sport of rollerball becomes hugely popular in many countries. Marcus Ridley (LL Cool J) invites NHL hopeful Jonathan Cross (Chris Klein) to join him playing for the Zhambel Horsemen in Kazakhstan. The highly paid Marcus and Jonathan are teamed with low-paid locals, who are often severely injured in the game, which is an extraordinarily violent extension of roller derby involving motorcycles and a metal ball. In the beginning, Jonathan, the team's star player and the poster child of promoter Alexi Petrovich (Jean Reno), is enamored by the high-octane sport, the popularity, sports cars and with his female teammate Aurora (Rebecca Romijn).

After temporarily retiring from mixed martial arts, Taktarov focused on his acting career and starred in the movies 15 Minutes, Bad Boys II, 44 Minutes: The North Hollywood Shoot-Out, Air Force One and the 2002 version of Rollerball. He also appeared in the first episode of season 3 of Alias entitled The TwoIMDb and in the NCIS season 5 finale Judgement Day. He has also appeared in a few Russian productions, and was cast in a few releases from 2007, such as We Own the Night. IMDb Taktarov also released several instructional Sambo videos and has made an instructional video with Vladimir Vasiliev entitled Russian Mega Fighting.

Stalmaster got his first job in show business as an actor, appearing in the war movies The Steel Helmet (1951) and The Flying Leathernecks (1951). He also acted in the TV series Big Town but soon became involved in the casting department of the same show. Stalmaster established himself quickly as a solid casting director, finding steady work in both television and motion pictures. The name Lynn Stalmaster became well known especially to cinema-goers of the 1970s, when he was credited with casting more than 60 movies of the decade, among them; Fiddler on the Roof, Harold and Maude, The Cowboys, Deliverance, Rollerball, Silver Streak, Black Sunday, Coming Home, Convoy, The Rose, Superman and Being There.

Beautiful Creatures (sometimes abbreviated as BC) are a hard rock band formed in 1999 by guitarist DJ Ashba and singer Joe Lesté of Bang Tango. The group's current lineup is composed of Lesté (lead vocals), Alex Grossi (lead guitar), Anthony Focx (rhythm guitar), Kenny Kweens (bass) and Timmy Russell (drums). Previously the group featured Michael Thomas and Glen Sobel among others while founder DJ Ashba is currently the lead guitarist for Sixx:A.M. To date, Beautiful Creatures have released two albums – Beautiful Creatures (2001); Deuce (2005) and have had songs featured on soundtracks for films such as Valentine, Rollerball, The Proposal and also for television series such as Smallville and Sons of Anarchy.

The film received negative reviews from critics. The film holds a 30% "Rotten" rating from 80 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, with an average rating of 4.25/10; the site's consensus reading: "With all of the hyperkinetic action and none of the flair of Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor's earlier work, Gamer has little replay value." Critic Joe Neumaier of The New York Daily News, agreed, calling it a "Xerox of a Xerox" and citing a number of films it supposedly takes elements from, including The Matrix and Rollerball. RVA Magazine noted that Gamers plot was overly similar to The Condemned and commented that Gamer "hates its primary audience" and "tries to criticize the commercialization of violence, even though it itself is commercialized violence".

Inferno is the violent sequel to Harlem Heroes. Set in the bloodthirsty arena of Inferno, an even more barbaric updating of Aeroball, with the addition of players on motorbikes (and gameplay similar to that featured in Rollerball), sportsmanship is gradually replaced by sensationalist violence and the desire for bloodshed and death on the field. Declining in- game values are shadowed by terrifying levels of boardroom corruption: their own manager, tiring of the Heroes' clean-cut image, is determined to get rid of their contracts, by taking out a contract on his own players. The scene of the Heroes' violent demise is a baroquely ruinous former casino called The Crystal Maze (a metaphor of the human mind, and a title later recycled), rendered in darkly gothic splendour by Massimo Belardinelli.

After Lentz moved away from the Philadelphia area, Erb and Daniels recruited Joe Deblasio formerly of Dollhaus Puppet to perform live on drums, and Sean Jacobs took over live bass guitar. Two songs from the album "Lifeline" were featured in an official expansion pack level of Duke Nukem 3D called "Penthouse Paradise", available exclusively from GT Interactive and Penthouse Magazine. In 1997, the band recorded an EP called Echelon which was used by Z-Axis Games in the development of an official Rollerball (1975 film) video game adaption based on the film as part of MGM Interactive video game showcase lineup. [needle] continued to perform shows throughout 1996 and 1997 while working on their next full-length studio release, when a hard disk crash caused all of their new material and original tracks to be lost.

In December 1986, Thornley made his masked return to the ring at the London Hippodrome in a ladder match with Clive Myers, and by September 1987 he went on to become the WWA World Heavyweight Champion after defeating Wayne Bridges. James Edmund Caan (born March 26, 1940) is an American actor. After early roles in The Glory Guys (1965), for which he received a Golden Globe nomination, El Dorado (1967), and The Rain People (1969), he came to prominence in the 1970s with significant roles in films such as Brian's Song (1971), Cinderella Liberty (1973), The Gambler (1974), Freebie and the Bean (1974), Rollerball (1975), Funny Lady (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977) and Chapter Two (1979). For his signature role in The Godfather (1972), that of hot-tempered Sonny Corleone, Caan was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and the corresponding Golden Globe. Caan's subsequent notable performances include roles in The Godfather Part II (1974), Thief (1981), Misery (1990), For the Boys (1991), Eraser (1996), Bottle Rocket (1996) and Elf (2003), as well as the role of "Big Ed" Deline in the television series Las Vegas (2003–08).

Even then, Max Crabtree continued to tour, using the same business model, with British–born former WWF star "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith replacing Daddy as the headlining household name, until Smith was lured back to the WWF in the summer of 1994. Thereafter, RWS went into decline and eventually ceased promoting in 1995. By contrast, All Star had played its cards well with regard to its two years of TV exposure, using the time in particular to build up a returning Kendo Nagasaki as its lead heel and establishing such storylines as his tag team-cum-feud with Rollerball Rocco and his "hypnotism" of Robbie Brookside. The end of TV coverage left many of these storylines at a cliffhanger and consequently All Star underwent a box office boom as hardcore fans turned up to live shows to see what happened next, and kept coming for several years due to careful use of show-to-show storylines.
