Vasu soon confronts Shekharan and threatens to reveal the truth to the cops; soon after he leaves, some goons under the aegis of Pathrose (Captain Raju), an accomplice of Shekharan, follow him to finish him off. In "Emperor Joker", a multipart story throughout the Superman titles, Mxyzptlk has his powers temporarily stolen by the Joker, who then remakes the Earth. The imp is unable to remember what to do to break the chain of events that daily culminates with Superman being dragged back to Arkham Asylum by Bizarro. Fortunately, Mxyzptlk is able to reveal the truth to Superman, who manages to find the power to break the cycle and defeat the Joker. As the Joker prepares to end existence, Superman realizes that, for all his power, the Joker still cannot erase Batman, as the Joker defines himself by his constant opposition to the Dark Knight, allowing Superman to shatter the Joker's control of reality.

The truth however, is that Robert has known about the affair for the past four years. Pinter's particular usage of reverse chronology in structuring the plot is innovative: the first scene takes place after the affair has ended, in 1977; the final scene ends when the affair begins, in 1968; and, in between 1977 and 1968, scenes in two pivotal years (1977 and 1973) move forward chronologically.

After the events of the "Messiah Complex" storyline, Cyclops ordered Wolverine to form a new X-Force team to act as his own covert black-ops squad, something Cyclops himself revealed to no one outside the team, in particular the co-leader of the X-Men and his lover, Emma Frost. Also, in the Secret Invasion: Dark Reign one-shot, at the first meeting of the Cabal, Osborn promised Frost to leave the San Francisco mutant community alone, provided she kept them under control. Emma kept the fact that she belonged to the Cabal from Cyclops. These secrets almost caused a split in their relationship, but they eventually reveal the truth to each other, promising to keep no more secrets.

Future Simon sacrifices himself to save Alisha, prompting Alisha to reveal the truth to present Simon. Three months later, the Misfits give up their powers by selling them to Seth, a former drug dealer with the ability to transfer powers from one person to another.

Robert was discharged from hospital following his recovery and soon found out on the eve of New Year's Day 2016 that it was Ross that shot him. He decides to seek revenge on Ross by holding him at gunpoint and forcing him to reveal the truth to his girlfriend and Andy's ex- lover, Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb). He then decided not to shoot Ross, as Robert wanted to ruin his relationship with Debbie and also get revenge on Andy by using these events to prompt Debbie in taking his children Sarah and Jack away from him. Indeed, Debbie left the village with her and Andy's children to start anew in France without Ross - temporarily securing Robert's revenge on Ross and Andy.

After the events of the first film, Nikolai Gogol finds a case: among the things of Yakov Petrovich Guro is a secret file on himself with a postscript: "Mystery of birth — dark?". Five brothers of Gogol died at birth or soon after birth; later, in the visions of Nikolai and the memories of Yakim (who does not dare to reveal the truth to the gentleman), Vasily Gogol-Yanovsky accepts from despair the offer of a stranger with a bandage on his face, covering his nose. The stranger promises that the baby will survive, but payment for this will be an agreement with certain forces; Vasily replies that he is ready for anything, just to not bury his children anymore. When Nikolai is born, the stranger revives the stillborn baby.

As Mr. Kumar's men are asked to capture Bharat since he escaped from Mr. Kumar killing him, Ravi kidnaps Komal from her house in front of Alok. He takes her to his slum where his dying landlord gets shot by Kumar and Alok's enemy, a criminal named Ambani (Shakti Kapoor), whose men hunting Bharat reveal the truth to Komal that Ravi is Bharat, which Komal finally believes, and regrets mistaking him for the crime the police accused him of and she and Ravi fall in love. Then they start to spend their time together and love extends more. Komal is then later brought home to her dad by the police, where she insists Bharat is Ravi, but this angers Alok who locks her in her room and insists that she not meet him.

Frank vows to reveal the truth to the groceries and is encouraged to travel beyond the store's freezer section for the proof, while Brenda, Sammy and Lavash are brought by a bottle of tequila (who is revealed to be working for Douche) to the Mexican food aisle, until a lesbian Taco shell named Teresa del Taco (who is in love with Brenda) helps them escape Douche. Meanwhile at Camille Toh's house, Carl and Barry are horrified to witness the murder of other purchased foods being cooked and eaten by Camille. Carl is sliced in half by Camille, but Barry manages to escape and encounters a human drug addict who becomes able to communicate with his groceries after injecting himself with bath salts. However, the bath salts soon wear off and the addict prepares to cook Barry.

Eventually, Clementine finds out that Marlon traded two of the school's residents, twin sisters Minerva and Sophie, to a group of raiders that threatened the school in exchange for safety and intends to do the same with her and AJ should they return. Clementine pressures Marlon to reveal the truth to the other kids, only for him to be shot and killed by AJ. Some of the other kids vote for Clementine and AJ to leave the school, where in its outskirts they run into the raiders, one of them being Lilly, an old acquaintance of Clementine from their survivor group in the first season. Lilly threatens Clementine to return to the school and convince the rest of the children to join her group. Clementine and AJ escape with the help of James, a former member of the Whisperers, although AJ is shot and wounded.

Cristina, in her anguish, poisons herself, and before she dies she asks the son she raised not to forget her, and tells him that that Jorge and Elisa will make him believe that she is not her mother. Elisa and Jorge, without knowing about Cristina's last deception, decide to reveal the truth to their son, who immediately despises his true mother and asks her to leave the house. Before leaving, Elisa asks her son to accept a medal with the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe that she had given him in his childhood; her son takes it to throw it into the fireplace, but when he sees the medal, a memory from his childhood of his true mother comes to him, and runs into the arms of his mother. A huge oil painting of the portrait of Cristina that hung over the fireplace falls into the fire, and Elisa and Jorge hug each other with their son as they see how the portrait of the woman who separated them for years is slowly consumed in the fire.
