Al-Jamri finished formal education at Budaiya primary school when he was 12, before becoming a Hussaini khatib (Shia preacher), learning from other well-known khatibs in his village such as his cousin, the renovator Shia khatib Mulla Atiya al-Jamri. The Renovators is an Australian competitive reality renovation game show that premiered on Network Ten on 24 July 2011. The basic premise consists of 26 contestants who initially compete to become the head renovator of six run-down houses in the suburbs of Sydney, with challenges and eliminations taking place whilst the renovations are in progress. The last remaining contestant responsible for the property that has made the most profit when sold at auction wins the series. Network Ten announced in August 2011 that it had commissioned a second season of the series, but indicated that it would modify the program's format in order to address poor ratings, but to date no second season has been produced.

The New York Times reviewer, Nate Chinen, suggested Desfado to be "renovator" and wrote it presents Moura's "ambitions even if she had stuck to Portuguese". Whilst Mariano Prunes asserted to say Moura combines "tradition with modernity", Clive Davis for The Times called it "outstanding", and George W. Harris for Jazz Weekly said even if the listener does not understand Portuguese lyrics, they could be felt, as Moura "sings around bouyant, [sic] bouncy and festive strums and sensuous string picking." The National Front in France has been a prominent supporter of Assad since the outbreak of the Syrian Civil War, as has the former leader of the Third Way. In Italy, the parties New Front and CasaPound have both been supportive of Assad, with the New Front putting up pro-Assad posters and the party's leader praising Assad's commitment to the ideology of Arab nationalism in 2013, while CasaPound has also issued statements of support for Assad. Syrian Social Nationalist Party representative Ouday Ramadan has worked in Italy to organize support movements for Assad. Other political parties expressing support for Assad include the National Democratic Party of Germany, the National Revival of Poland, the Freedom Party of Austria, the Bulgarian Ataka party, the Hungarian Jobbik party, the Serbian Radical Party, the Portuguese National Renovator Party, as well as the Spanish Falange Española de las JONS and Authentic Falange parties.

Though he is no longer with us, his spirit and energy lives on in each of the Cao Đài disciple many generations since. According to Cao Đài Cardinal Nguyen Huong Hieu and Cao Đài Juridical Renovator Truong Huu Duc, "without him there is no Cao Đài religion, because God came to Ngo Minh Chieu only to make it known that He is the Great Teacher, calling Himself Cao Đài the Great Sage"[without assigning specific duties as He later did Phạm Công Tắc]. This statement speaks of his great significance in the organization and proliferation of the Cao Đài teachings.

Earlier in the decade, Bradley was featured as Hanschen Rilow in the Old Vic's production of Frank Wedekind's controversial tale of sexual discovery, violence, and repression, Spring Awakening, of which Plays and Players stated that "Dai Bradley's Hans is a virtuoso effort, full of awkward and loquacious passion." The production also garnered strong reviews for co-stars Michael Kitchen, Peter Firth, Veronica Quilligan, and Gerard Ryder as the object of Hanschen's forbidden affection, Ernst. Bradley played notable roles in several 1970s films including Malachi's Cove (1973), Absolution (1978), All Quiet on the Western Front (1979) and the Zulu prequel Zulu Dawn (1979), but by the early 1980s his film career had largely dissipated. Although he was originally considered for the part of Neville Hope in Auf Wiedersehen Pet, for much of the rest of the decade he worked as a carpenter and renovator after the part went to his close friend Kevin Whately.

José de Almeida e Vasconcelos Pinto Coelho (born Lisbon, Campo Grande, 27 September 1960) commonly known just by José Pinto Coelho, is a Portuguese far- right and nationalist politician, president of the National Renovator Party (Partido Nacional Renovador) since 2005. The second son of José Gabriel Braamcamp Freire Pinto Coelho (maternal grandson of the 4th Barons of Almeirim) and first wife Maria Pia Penalva de Almeida e Vasconcelos (grand- niece of the 1st Viscount of Almeida e Vasconcelos, maternal granddaughter of the 2nd Counts of Penalva de Alva and half second cousin of Manuela Ferreira Leite), Pinto-Coelho grew up in Lisbon until the age of 14, but due to the revolutionary period in Portugal, his father, an architect, was forced to look for work abroad, and the family moved to Brazil. After returning to Portugal he began studying Law at the Catholic University of Portugal in Lisbon, but he quit the university and graduated in Graphic Design from IADE (Institute of Visual Arts, Design and Marketing) in Lisbon. Since the late 70s he became affiliated with the Nationalist Movement, and collaborated with the magazine Futuro Presente and with the newspaper O Século directed by Jaime Nogueira Pinto.
