Under this legislation any document which its relevant law requires service by registered postfor example documents served under The Law of Property Act 1925 can also be lawfully served by recorded delivery. This act states that any recorded delivery item is deemed to have been delivered at the instant it is posted if: (a) the item is delivered and signed for at the delivery address or handed over and signed for the at local sorting office (see (c)); (b) delivery is refused by any person occupying the address or (c) if the item is not collected from the sorting office within seven days following a non-delivery because there is no reply to the postman, who leaves a collection card.

Parfitt wrote and recorded a solo album Recorded Delivery in 1985, but it was never released. Among the musicians on the record were bassist John "Rhino" Edwards and drummer Jeff Rich, formerly with the Climax Blues Band and Judie Tzuke. Edwards and Rich were subsequently invited by Parfitt to join Status Quo. In 2006 Parfitt released his guitar refacing overlay invention, the "guitar facelift", which was licensed by guitar manufacturer Fender.

Schaefer was born in 1970 in England to Polish and Canadian parents. While studying architecture at the Royal College of Art, Schaefer recorded the fragmented noises of a sound activated dictaphone travelling overnight through the Post Office. That work, titled 'Recorded Delivery' 1995 was made for the 'Self Storage' exhibition Time Out critics choice with one time postman Brian Eno and Artangel. The 'Tri-phonic Turntable' (1997) is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the 'World's Most Versatile Record Player'.

"Who Gets the Love?" is a single released by the British Rock band Status Quo in 1988. It was included on the album Ain't Complaining. Some versions of the 7 inch vinyl single also featured a limited edition History Pack featuring a special outer box made from card and inside part two of the Status Quo family tree - drawn and compiled by Pete Frame. "Halloween" was originally written and recorded for Rick Parfitt's unreleased solo album Recorded Delivery in 1985.

Edwards has played with Peter Green, ex-Fleetwood Mac, Climax Blues Band, Judie Tzuke and Dexys Midnight Runners. Zahid's career began within short proximity of fellow Pakistani paceman Shoaib Akhtar who later went on to record the fastest ever recorded delivery in cricket in the 2003 World Cup. In a recent interview on a chat show with Rameez Raja, Shoaib Akhtar accepted that Mohammad Zahid was a yard quicker than him when he was bowling in 1997 and after that Shoaib picked up more pace than Zahid, once again fuelling the debate of the speed of Mohammad Zahid and if he may have been one of the fastest bowlers of all time.

Following "Live Aid", Lancaster's relationship with Francis Rossi became increasingly strained when Rossi and Rick Parfitt covertly began recording a new album under the name of "Status Quo". Unbeknownst to Lancaster — by now living in Australia - and the group's then recording company, Rossi had utilised the assistance of the group's then manager to obtain and spend the group's contracted recording advances, meaning if the band did not record another album he would personally owe it to the label. Lancaster was substituted with session musician John 'Rhino' Edwards, who had been recording on a solo project of Parfitt's - "Recorded Delivery" - which was eventually scrapped. Edwards remains Quo's bassist to this day.

Mitchell Aaron Starc (born 30 January 1990) is an Australian international cricketer who plays for the Australian national team and New South Wales in domestic cricket. He is a left-arm fast bowler and a capable lower order left- handed batsman. He was a prominent member of the victorious Australian squad that won the 2015 Cricket World Cup and was declared Player of the Tournament as a result of his consistent performances. With 49 World Cup wickets, he is the joint 5th highest wicket taker in tournament's history. On 15 November 2015, Starc delivered the fastest recorded delivery in a Test match, of 160.4 km/h against Ross Taylor of New Zealand. Starc then became the fastest bowler to take (over) 100 ODI wickets on 21 August 2016 against Sri Lanka, doing so in 52 innings and breaking Saqlain Mushtaq's 19-year-old record of taking 100 wickets in 53 innings.

Subsequent to the release of Harpo's Ghost she parted company with her manager, left Sanctuary Records and released EP The Threads independently on her March 2007 UK tour with remaining copies sold on her website afterwards. On 19 May 2008 Fruitcake Records (via Fullfill and distributed by Universal Records) released Liejacker, Gilmore's eighth album featuring contributions from Joan Baez, Dave McCabe, and Erin McKeown. It was preceded on 12 May by the single "Old Soul", a duet with McCabe. In June 2008, Gilmore signed to Rykodisc (Warner) for the United States. Liejacker was released in the US on 23 September 2008. Thea's first live album, Recorded Delivery, was released on 25 May 2009, on Fullfill/Universal. The recordings are taken from UK shows during 2006 and 2008, with the first half of the album being acoustic, and the second half being electric, with a full band. In July 2009 she released a yearly subscription service / fan club, Angels in the Abattoir.
