During the 1963s the industrial house of Birla established a factory named "'Gwalior Rayons'" (later renamed as Grasim) at Mavoor for producing pulp and fibre on 316 acres of land. An integrated township with schools, a hospital, and a police station also came up. The arrival of Gwalior Rayons caused a rapid change in the area.

Gardman () was one of the eight cantons of the ancient province of Utik in the Kingdom of Armenia and simultaneously, together with the canton of Tuchkatak, an Armenian principality. Louisa Siefert (1845 - October 1877) was a best-selling 19th century French poet. The daughter of Henry Siefert, vice-consul to Portugal, and Adele- Adrienne Belz, she was born and grew up in Lyon. During his term the Ostankino tower, the Hotel Russia, and dozens of new subway stations were built. In 1980 Moscow hosted the 1980 Summer Olympics, and several sport venues were constructed for it, among them the Luzhniki Stadium and the Olympic Stadium. Promyslov also oversaw the completion of the administrative subdivisions reform, which divided Moscow into 20 rayons. This reform is now considered unsuccessful and was reverted during the 1990s.

During the 20th century the tea-cultivation and processing industry became important in the rayon. The area was briefly the centre of a Bolshevik-inspired Mughan Soviet Republic during 1919. History repeated itself somewhat in 1993. During the period of instability that followed Azerbaijan's 1991 independence from the USSR, Lankaran and surrounding rayons were briefly declared the Talysh- Mughan Autonomous Republic, but this only survived between June and August 1993.

Aliyev was born on February 22, 1908 in Shamakhi, Azerbaijan. In 1926, he completed his secondary education in Baku, and in 1931 he graduated from Azerbaijan State Medical University with a degree in General Therapy. In 1931–1936, he was director of a clinic in Kalbajar and Jabrayil rayons of Azerbaijan and head surgeon of a regional hospital. In 1938 he was admitted to the ranks of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

Ganja, located 400–450 meters (1312 to 1476 ft) above the sea level, lies on the Ganja-Gazakh plain in the Kur-Araz lowland in the west of Azerbaijan, 375 km (33 mi) away from Baku. In the west Azerbaijan's border upon Armenia stretches for a distance of 123 kilometers, in the north it borders upon Tovuz Rayon, in the north-east and east upon Shamkir and Dashkasan rayons of Azerbaijan. Buzeyir cave () – is an archaeological site and Paleolithic place of human habitation. The cave is located on the left bank of the Zuvandchay River, at the top of Delikli-Dash Mountain, at an altitude of above sea level and to the east of Büzeyir village in Lerik Rayon, Azerbaijan. The cave was discovered in 1985, during an archaeological expedition in the Lankaran, Lerik and Masally Rayons under the guidance of A.Jafarov. Items made of stone and sharpened bones of animals from the Paleolithic were unearthed during subsequent archaeological excavations.

Though it was established as a written language in 1957, Gagauz was not used in curriculum until 1959. Gagauz is a language coming from Balkan Gagauz Turkish; Balkan linguistics was the first to view the consequences of language contact as normal rather than corrupt. The term "Gagauz language" and identification of one's language as "Gagauz" were established concurrently with or even after the creation of national self- awareness. About 150,000 Gagauzes resided in Moldova in 1986, where they lived in settlements within the Komratskii, Chadyr-Lungskii and Vulkaneshtskii Rayons.

The first personal exhibition of 50 works of Ivan Choultsé opened on November 23, 1922 on Rue La Boétie, 2. The Léon Gérard Gallery exhibited Choultsé's "Soir de Novembre" ("November evening") painting at the spring 136th Salon des Artistes Francais in 1923 and then the "Derniers rayons" ("The Last Rays of Light") at the 137th Salon. The Gallery then held annual personal exhibitions of Choultsé's works up to 1925.

In 2002, the Bogdanovs launched a new weekly TV show Rayons X (X Rays) on French public channel France 2. In August 2004, they presented a 90-minute special cosmology program in which they introduced their theory among other cosmological scenarios. The French mainstream media, in both the press and on the Internet, covered the renewed controversy to some extent; media outlets that reported upon it include Acrimed and Ciel et Espace. The golden ratio φ, here shown as the long side of a golden rectangle, is a solution to an algebraic equation and thus not a transcendental number.

Spoken in the Southeast Dagestan highlands and in Northern Azerbaijan. The Lezgian language or, as the Lezgian people themselves call it, Лезги чlал (lezgi ch'al), is the biggest in terms of the number of native speakers of all the languages of the Lezgic group (other languages from this group include Tabasaran, Udi, Tsakhur, and Rutul). They are spoken in the following rayons of Dagestan: Agul, Akhty, Derbent (Kvevar), Kasumxur, Kurakh, Magaramkent, Rutul, Tabasaran, Usukhchay, Khiv and Quba and Zaqatala in Azerbaijan. Tabasaran was once thought to be the language with the largest number of grammatical cases at 54, which could, depending on the analysis, instead be the Tsez language with 64.

There are plans for a network with three lines totalling (based on present expansion plans) of track with 45 stations and three train depots. For this to happen the third line should cut the city on a north–south axis crossing the existing two and thus forming a typical Soviet triangle layout; construction of the third line is expected to begin in 2011 and for the first stage to be delivered in the late 2010s. Some layout plans speculate on a possible fourth line running from Vyasnyanka to Serabranka micro-rayons. Minsk metro had 28 stations and of tracks. Trains use 243 standard Russian metro-cars.

Khushi Ram began by playing for Armed Forces in initial stages of his career. From 1958 to 1968, the time he was associated with Army, the Armed Force basketball team won the National title continuously for 10 years in which he was judged as the best player many times. Khushi Ram quickly gained popularity and became a star player in India. After taking retirement from Army in the year 1969 he moved to Kota in Rajasthan and joined Shri Ram Rayons, then he represented Rajasthan team for 5 years in National Basketball Championships. In 1964 Khushi Ram was selected in the Indian National Basketball Team for the 4th Quardrangular tournament in Colombo.

There are also reports that 50 combat aircraft from the disbanded 19th Army of the Soviet Air Defence Forces came under Azeri control. The Azeri armed forces took a series of devastating defeats by Armenian forces1993 UN Security Council Resolutions on Nagorno-Karabakh during the 1992–1994 Nagorno-Karabakh War, which resulted in the loss of control of Nagorno-Karabakh proper and seven surrounding rayons, comprising roughly 20% of the territory of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani sources insist that Armenian victory was largely due to military help from Russia and the wealthy Armenian diaspora. Armenians partially deny the allegation, claiming that Russian side was equally supplying Armenian and Azerbaijani sides with weapons and mercenaries.

Marius Petipa created an expanded staging in four acts for the Imperial Ballet with Ludwig Minkus adapting Offenbach's score. It was first presented in January 1874 at the Imperial Bolshoi Kamenny Theatre in Saint Petersburg with Ekaterina Vazem (Farfalla/the Butterfly), Lev Ivanov (Prince Djalma), Pavel Gerdt (Patimate), Mathil'da Madaeva (Fairy Hamza), and Lubov Radina (Diamond Fairy). Petipa added a variation to the Grand pas des papillons to a waltz by Luigi Venzano especially for Ekaterina Vazem – this variation became known as the Pas Vazem, and was much celebrated among the balletomanes of Saint Petersburg.

Yuasa was inspired by the discovery of artificial radioactivity by Irène and Frédéric Joliot-Curie at the Radium Institute in Paris. Because of difficult research conditions in Tokyo, Yuasa moved to Paris in 1940, even though the Second World War had just begun in Europe. She worked under Frédéric Joliot- Curie at the Collège de France, where she researched the alpha and beta particles emitted by artificial radioactive nuclei and the energy spectrum of beta particles. With her thesis, titled "Contribution à l'étude du spectre continu des rayons β− émis par les corps radioactifs artificiels" (Continuous beta-ray spectrum generated by artificial radioactivity), she earned a doctorate in science in 1943. In August 1944, Yuasa was forced to leave Paris for Berlin.

Between 1829 and 1840 he would publish five more volumes of poetry (Les Orientales, 1829; Les Feuilles d'automne, 1831; Les Chants du crépuscule, 1835; Les Voix intérieures, 1837; and Les Rayons et les ombres, 1840), cementing his reputation as one of the greatest elegiac and lyric poets of his time. The passion and eloquence of Hugo's early work brought success and fame at an early age. His first collection of poetry (Nouvelles Odes et Poésies Diverses) was published in 1824, when Hugo was only twenty two years old, and earned him a royal pension from Louis XVIII. Though the poems were admired for their spontaneous fervor and fluency, it was the collection that followed two years later in 1826 (Odes et Ballades) which revealed Hugo to be a great poet, a natural master of lyric and creative song.

Chicago: Encyclopædia Britannica, 2012 was the so- called Turanian nomad people, which to make their presence as "Pseudo- Avars"—in opinion of ruler of Turkic qaganate (Gőktürks)—in Europe.(Rásonyi, László Tarihte Türklük.-Ankara:-TKAE RAS, 1971,s.79) Avarians inhabit most of the mountainous part of Dagestan as well as portions of the plains (Buynaksk, Khasav'yurt, Kizil'yurt and other regions). They also live in Chechnya, Kalmykia and other regions of the Russian state, as well as in Azerbaijan (mainly in the Balakan and Zakatala rayons, with a population of 50,900 in 1999Devlet İstatistik Komitesi , Azərbaycan Milli Elmlər Akademiyası İqtisadiyyat İnstitutu and 49,800 in 2009) and Georgia (Kvareli Avars with 1,996 people in 2002). In 2002, Avars, who have assimilated with ethnic groups speaking related languages, numbered about 1.04 million, of whom 912,020 live in Russia (2010 census).
