Izzy is often brash and quick to anger, but O'Connell's particular brand of sarcasm and anger are known to steady him. Izzy also has a spotty history with Jonathan, who defrauded him out of an investment in leather manufacturing. He also has a bitter history with Rick considering that he left him to hold an unknown merchandise in Marrakesh that lead to him being shot in his rear end, while Rick enjoyed the company of the local ladies.

Inspector Brackenreid, who is portrayed by Colm Meaney in the TV movies and in the TV series by Thomas Craig, is a middle-aged married man, fond of the theatre and a good drink. He is the head of the stationhouse and does most of the interrogating, often forming opinions of a suspect because of personal impressions or their social standing. Quick to anger and tenacious, with a sarcastic sense of humour, he is better at traditional "coppering" and is very proud of his job and what he feels is his duty to protect the city. While he often disagrees with Murdoch's methods, he uses them when he feels they have merit.

As a variation, the familiar image of the bearded and barefoot yokel was transformed into that of an anthropomorphic barnyard animal. Otherwise, the characterization of the stereotypical hillbillies remained the same and humor was derived from their feuds, their violence, their stupidity, their odd speech, their music, and their laziness. The overall image was clearly related with other contemporary stereotypes concerning Southerners, such as their supposed strange way of speaking, laziness, and that they were quick to anger and resort to violence. In the hands of Tex Avery, Bob Clampett, and Friz Freleng, the cartoon hillbillies emerged as figures who foiled the power of local sheriffs, drove away those who attempted to preach peace to them, rejected urbanization, and lacked work ethic.

Ivy can be compared to that of an average toddler in that she is extremely quick to anger and is prone to pulling temper tantrums when things are not quite going her way. She can at times be purposefully malicious, for example stamping on her father's toes but most of the time it appears much of her deeds are all done by some fun which has gone out of hand. She has been seen to have a thirst to prove herself, for example, her introductory strip in which she challenges Dennis the Menace to a fight. She seems to have a fairly strong friendship with Dennis' younger sister Bea and is on talking terms with Minnie the Minx and Toots.

Shego is one of the most mature characters in the franchise; unlike most other Kim Possible villains, she is not afflicted with megalomania or narcissism. However, despite her generally rational and sane demeanor, she is frequently impatient and quick to anger, especially when she feels that someone is being obnoxious or stupid; her brother, Hego, once summed her up as a "cranky smart-mouth, prone to excessive violence." As a villain, Shego is dedicated to her work, but often appears unmotivated and unambitious, dividing her free time between lounging in Drakken's lair reading villain magazines, filing her clawed gloves, and visiting spa resorts. For the most part, she does not initiate any schemes of her own, instead preferring to assist others as an enforcer or infiltrator.

The show mainly revolves around the misadventures of Bryn Coch United, a fictional village football team, which is based on Pontrhydfendigaid Football Club. The running of the team is handled by a mix of uncapable committee members; quick-to-anger manager Arthur Picton, the slightly dim- witted linesman Wali Tomos, and Tecwyn Parri (the team's goalie and captain), arguably the most normal on the committee. Part of the cast outside of the football committee is Mr Picton's daughter, Sandra, and her boyfriend (later husband) and member of the football team, George Huws - a leather-clad punk rocker from Caernarfon. Most plots were derived from the team's attempts to win their weekly games, as well as other events held in the village, and the main characters' relationships with their families.

Although he is quick to anger he has still shown a desire to help those in need (albeit in a very gruff and violent way) and his quest to return to Mainframe has let him bring many systems back from the brink of annihilation. He harbors an unparalleled hatred towards viruses and will not hesitate to delete them in a violent and merciless manner. He is in love with AndrAIa, who has now matured as well, but is also quite jealous and protective of her. Deep down, he had a fear that he might become or already be a hate-driven, uncaring killer who had forgotten about his home and family and would end up like Megabyte; he had to face his fears and get past them in the episode "Number Seven" (based on The Prisoner).

Because of the recognized land shortage there are a high number of migrants to other districts: "What happens in Chimbu will be felt elsewhere" (Standish 1976: 311). In his article, Standish (1976) gives a general review of the issues in Chimbu, reflecting on the 1970 by-election, examining the five candidates for the 1972 election in terms of their positions on issues and campaign techniques, then analyzing the electoral response, i.e. how the voting went and why. In describing Okuk, Standish saw "A strong-faced intense man with a wry humour and shrewd charm, he shelters some bitter memories and can be quick to anger." (Standish 1976: 324) He characterized him as the most radical candidate but also the most well known, since he participated in the 1970 by- election and campaigned in Chimbu for two years afterwards. For two years after losing the 1970 by-election, Okuk lived and worked in his home province of Chimbu for the first time in 18 years.

The stress of the job led Brian to start drinking which also led him to become more erratic and quick to anger with Rebecca and his fellow employees, despite his behavior Rebecca stayed with Brian hoping things would turn out ok. After one night of excessive drinking, Brian tried to work on his project and accidentally caused an overload of the equipment. Brian was court-martialed and released from the project; even though he was behind a shield when the overload occurred and multiple doctors examined him and found nothing, Brian still felt that some amount of radiation got through and affected his genetic structure and was even more convinced not to have any children. Brian eventually found another job and started to try and pull his life together when Rebecca announced that she was pregnant, even though Rebecca was happy to have child and finally start a family, Brian was shocked and afraid.
