In place of the previous 7.5L V8, a fuel-injected 4.9L V8 was standard (a 5.8L carbureted V8 was offered for 1980). In place of the LED trip computer of the Mark V, the Mark VI became one of the first American automobiles to offer a fully digital instrument panel (VFD), pushbutton keyless entry (a system still in use on Ford automobiles), and an overdrive 4-speed automatic transmission. Technics SL-1200 is a series of direct-drive turntables originally manufactured from October 1972 until 2010, and resumed in 2016, by Matsushita Electric (now Panasonic Corporation) under the brand name of Technics. S means "Stereo", L means "Player". Originally released as a high fidelity consumer record player, it quickly became adopted among radio and disco club disc jockeys, thanks to the direct drive, high torque motor design, making it initially suitable for pushbutton cueing and starting of tracks on radio and in dance clubs. It is still extremely popular with audiophiles.

After the war, Deutsche Reichsbahn replaced the destroyed station building with a long two-storey building with a gable roof. Former goods hall (2013) In 1977, the station had 23 tracks, but they were cut back during rationalisations by Deutsche Bundesbahn in the following years. In 1981, the three mechanical interlockings of the station were replaced by a centralised track plan pushbutton interlocking and the semaphore signals dating from the State Railways era were replaced by colour light signals. In 1983, Deutsche Bundesbahn removed the overhead line on the line to Peissenberg, since its replacement was necessary, but not financially viable.

A typical VCO-equipped synthesizer issue concerns the VCO auto-tuning, to compensate slight out-of-tune behavior during a live performance. Almost all VCO-based analog synthesizers of that era did provide an Auto-Tuning pushbutton, to start an alignment routine and keep all oscillators equal tuned. This because a generic concept did use one hexponential converter to drive each VCO, and the hexp conversion was the weak point of the chain. Having earned a handsome return from his work, Schrade traveled to Europe in 1911, first to Sheffield, England, where he assisted Thomas Turner & Company in expediting a wartime order from the British Navy. He next moved to the knifemaking center of Solingen, Germany. Schrade was aware of Solingen's reputation for having the best cutlery steel in Europe, and he opened a factory to produce his safety pushbutton switchblade knife there. Its trademarks were purchased by Imperial Cutlery Company, who used the Diamond Edge trademark on a variety of knives. Other companies such as Imperial Knife and Remington Arms paid royalties to Schrade in order to produce automatic "contract knives" for rebranding and sale by large mail-order catalog retailers such as Sears, Roebuck & Co. In 1904, in combination with his brothers Louis and William, George Schrade formed the Schrade Cutlery Co. in Walden, and began developing a new series of switchblades, which he patented in 1906–07. Schrade's new Safety Pushbutton Knives incorporated several design improvements over his earlier work, and featured a handle-mounted operating button with a sliding safety switch.

Travco's use of the Dodge Motor Home chassis established Dodge chassis as the most popular make of motorhome chassis for twenty years. The original Dodge Motorhome Chassis used for the Travco, and many other makes, was powered by the Chrysler 318 "Polysphere" engine. Many heavy duty refinements were made to this outstanding small engine to increase its durability for hauling the heavy motorhome body. GVWs could exceed six tons, but the small and efficient 318 engine with the distinctive parabolic combustion chamber design netting around 200 horsepower could manage to keep up with traffic, and had a top speed of slightly over 70 mph in most configurations. The 318, and later 413 and 440 engines, were mated to the Chrysler Torqueflite 727 transmission; until the 1964 model, these transmissions shared the "pushbutton" selector quadrant used on other Chrysler Corporation vehicles.
