Proving popular, the company promoted the new designs in the subsequent decades, adding ribbons in the 1930s, and Hallmark remains one of the largest American producers of gift wrap.

C4 had a deal with MTV Networks to air MTV programming in New Zealand, which proved successful, with shows such as Pimp My Ride proving popular among C4's target demographic. The MTV content on C4 remained on air after Sky TV launched a local MTV station featuring some of the same shows. MTV content was decreased in 2008 when the channel moved towards General Entertainment programming. On 11 April 2007 C4 began broadcasting in 14:9 widescreen on SKY TV in New Zealand the same day TV3 began broadcasting in a 16:9 widescreen format.

Elthorne became a Maths and Computing specialist school in September 2007, and its Sixth Form opened in September 2009. It became an authorised IB World School in 2008 and once offered the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme as its main pre-University course, as well as a variety of applied and vocational courses. However, this came to an end after three years as, despite many successes for the students after the first year, the IB was not proving popular with students and was found to be administratively cumbersome by staff. In 2012 a decision was made to change the further education course to A-Levels to attract more students.

One of the challenge areas of the programme specifically focuses on adventurous activities with hiking, Rock Climbing, Kayaking, Sailing, Caving and Shooting proving popular with units. Many Explorer Scouts can become quite proficient in their chosen activities, and some attain instructor's qualifications as recognised by the activity's national governing body (for example, BCU coaches for kayaking) as part of the Scouts adventurous activity permit scheme. There are a number of national and international events open to Explorer Scouts in addition to project and events held at more local levels.

In 1938, the VFA made a bold rule change by legalising throwing of the football in general play, provided the throw was underarm with both hands below shoulder height. The film has been released in many other countries, proving popular in some: the Netherlands ($1,553,825) and not so popular in others.

A careful balance of electronic and acoustic instruments, with the use of reeds (played by some of the members of the band, in addition to their usual instrument), made Banco's sound increasingly original and innovative, with a blend of rock, jazz and classical music which did not, however, forsake the Italian melodic tradition. The new car, which went on sale in May, was a radical hatchback-only design which brought back memories of the Sierra's launch nearly three years ago. General Motors had already adopted this bodystyle with the Vauxhall Chevette (which was also available as a saloon or estate) and Ford with the Fiesta. Comparable foreign products like the Fiat 127, Renault 5 and Volkswagen Polo were also proving popular in the UK. Ford had now divided its European operations between its British factories and other European plants in Spain, Belgium and West Germany. Popularity for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow is growing exponentially as the day of the opening ceremony quickly approaches. Approximately 92% of the total number of tickets available - for the 11 days of sporting events - have already sold out; with judo and athletics, as well as various other sporting disciplines proving popular amongst supporters of the host and commonwealth nations. The popularity of judo amongst the host-nation supporters is due to the Glasgow European Open, which took place in October 2013. The event was the largest judo tournament held in Scotland to date, however, this was not the main aim of the event; it was to increase the popularity of judo with the Glasgow’s citizens, in the hope of increasing the number of people getting involved in the sport as well as to gain more supporters in the run-up to the Commonwealth Games.

Proving popular in demonstrations, the concept was refined and re-developed into a stand-alone game. Just Dance was developed by a small team of around 20 at Ubisoft Paris and Ubisoft Milan, and was only officially pitched six months prior to its eventual release. As a media executive, he served as Senior Vice President of Communications for CBS Corporation, overseeing public relations and communications for CBS News, and as head of government relations and public policy for Primedia and Court TV.

Greasepaint was made market favourite on the day of the race, proving popular to a large section of the general public for whom the National was their only bet of the year due to his having been narrowly beaten into second place in the previous year's race. At the luxury end of the market, British Leyland was actually one of the first manufacturers in the world to put a hatchback on an upmarket car when it launched the Rover SD1 in 1976. This car signalled the beginning of rationalisation at British Leyland, with the SD1 replacing two model ranges - the Rover P6 and Triumph 2000/2500. The popularity of Nissan's range of Datsun-badged cars in the 1970s was largely down to their low prices, cheap running costs, good equipment levels and a reputation for better reliability than most British cars, although these cars also went on to gain a reputation for being prone to rust. BLMC's share of the UK market dropped from 40% to 32% between 1971 and 1973, with its new Morris Marina and Austin Allegro family cars selling well on the British market but not proving popular on many export markets, with the motoring media being critical of the styling of these new models as well as questions regarding the level of quality.
