A very destructive, nighttime F3 tornado touched down right over Eastern Evansville and heavily damaged the area, destroying five homes and damaging 70 others. In one extreme case, a house was twisted off its foundation and blown away with its heavy window air conditioning unit thrown into the yard, a post driven through the storm door and through the roof before it was blown off, and a metal carport on the property being found over a mile away. Miraculously, all the three people, including the mother, survived, including two small children that were blown off their chairs, rolled up into the living room rug, and lodged under a stone planter box, protecting from the tornado. The tornado traveled and was wide.

With a surface area of , the roof structure is composed of sixteen kilometres of glued laminated timber, that intersect to form hexagonal wooden units resembling the cane-work pattern of a Chinese hat. The roof's geometry is irregular, featuring curves and counter-curves over the entire building, and in particular the three exhibition galleries. Imitating this kind of hat and its protective fabric, the entire wooden structure is covered with a white fibreglass membrane and a coating of teflon, which has the distinction of being self-cleaning, protecting from direct sunlight, while providing a transparent view at night.

Of primary importance to advocates of youth rights are historical perceptions of young people, which they say are oppressive and informed by paternalism, adultism and ageism in general, as well as fears of children and youth. Brando arrives to rescue him who is helped by Lopez who turns on De Joya and leads them to Jessica in the airport hangar where she is being held by De Joya and his men. They and joined by Lt. Punzalan defeat the kidnappers and rescues Jessica and her friends while Brando kills De Joya who tries to escape on a plane. One of De Joya's men Roque somehow still alive and badly injures Jing-Jing (Angelu De Leon) who notices this and jumps on Brando protecting from the gunshot and Brando throws his army knife at the still alive Roque and Cooper kills him. They mourn Jing-Jing as the Major and his police forces arrives who congratulate Brando but he respectfully rejected his promotion and orders a suspension from his position and he kindly accepts his offer and Brando hands him his badge and Jing-Jing was loaded into the ambulance.
