An Coimisiún's World Championships are the largest of all Irish step dance organisations, with over 6,000 dancers competing from over 30 countries worldwide. The Aisling Award (pronounced 'Ashling', Gaelic for dream) is awarded to the highest placing dancer in each solo dancing category from outside of Ireland, the United Kingdom, the US and Canada to encourage them to continue their dream of dancing. Other smaller Irish step dance organisations host their own premier championship.

2004 saw the creation of the Clubman endurance championship that was a level between intermediate and premier level. In 2007, the sprints were split up again and a separate premier championship was created to accommodate the monopoly the top drivers held. The first winter championship was also held that year with all rounds being held at Rye House. In 2011, the sprint championship was split up further and 2 clubman championships were created (heavyweight and lightweight classes) as a stepping stone to the premier series.

Tillakaratne's first-class best score, an innings of 78 against Panadura, was one of the four half-centuries that Tillakaratne made during his career. It is the fourth Trophy competition under its new format, that will see Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, and Switzerland compete for the title, and a place in the Championship–Trophy Promotion play- off. This year's competition sees Ukraine joining the Trophy after winning its division in Conference 1 North. After the Championship–Trophy Promotion play- off of the 2018–19 season, which was played on 15 June 2019 between Portugal and Germany, Portugal was promoted after its third try and Germany relegated to the Trophy level.

The Ballinascarthy club was formed in 1945. The current club caters for 20 teams of all age groups from under 6 years and upwards in both hurling and football. The first taste of success and reward for dedication and enthusiasm of club members came in 1956 when the junior (2) Footballers captured the South West Championship. This was a significant achievement at the time considering that the competition was then contested by all the Junior 1 teams eliminated in the first round of the premier championship including first string sides from major clubs such as Bantry Blues and Skibbereen.

The winners of Conference 1 North and South will play an additional match, a promotion play-off to the Trophy competition for the 2017–18 season.

The club experienced mixed fortunes in 1997 losing the U-14 A2 Championship to Downings, but winning the U-13 A2 at the expense of Fanad Gaels. A first shield division 1 was secured in 1995, and more significantly, success in the Senior Donegal Gaeltacht Championship was gained in the following year. A long-awaited return to success in the premier championship grades was fulfilled in 1998, when the club secured a first U-12 Championship, beating near neighbours Ardara. This was followed by a hat trick of Óg-sport Gael titles in 1999, 2000 and 2001.

Beardsley's goal tally reached double figures when he scored twice in a 5–1 away win over Kidderminster in the FA Trophy semi-final first leg on 13 March 2010. He started in the final at Wembley Stadium on 8 May 2010, being substituted on 66 minutes, as Stevenage were beaten 2–1 after extra-time by Barrow. His 2009–10 season was successful, with Beardsley scoring 10 times from 45 appearances as Stevenage won promotion to League Two after winning the Conference Premier championship.

A few days later, the assembly of the Football Association of Serbia formally recognized Red Star's title of the 1946 federal Serbian league, which did not include teams from Vojvodina and was essentially a second tier behind Yugoslavia's premier championship at the time. Born and raised in Auckland, Wynyard attended Rangitoto College and helped the school's basketball team win the Auckland premier championship in 2014. That year, he travelled to the United States to play in the Jordan Brand Classic. He also played in the New Zealand NBL in 2014 for the Super City Rangers, averaging 4.6 points and 2.4 rebounds in nine games. On 15 August 2014, Wynyard signed with the New Zealand Breakers as a non-contracted development player so as to keep his amateur status and his NCAA eligibility. He appeared in two games during the 2014–15 NBL season and was a member of the Breakers' championship-winning squad.

Diarmuid O'Sullivan (born 27 July 1978) is an Irish hurling coach and hurler who plays for Cork Premier Championship club Cloyne. He played for the Cork senior hurling team for 12 years, during which time he usually lined out as a full-back. A fan favourite who was noted for his swashbuckling style during his inter-county career, O'Sullivan is considered a "Cork legend". O'Sullivan began his hurling career at club level with Cloyne, for whom his father Jerry O'Sullivan, had also played. He broke onto the club's top adult team as a 16-year-old in 1995 and enjoyed his greatest success two years later when the club won the 1997 Cork Intermediate Championship title and promotion.

Club Voleibol Torrelavega, also known as CV Cantabria Deporte for sponsorship reasons, is a Spanish women's volleyball club from Torrelavega currently playing in the Spanish second tier. Founded in 1966 in the city's Marqués de Santillana high school, it made its debut in the premier national championship in 1975 and in the next years it rose to the top positions; it was the championship's runner-up in 1977 and 1978, and in 1979 it won both the championship and the national cup, which was successfully defended the following year.List of champions in the Spanish Volleyball Federation's website It was the first team to represent Spain in the European Cup. The club dropped out of the NCEL in 1991 after finishing second bottom, rejoining the Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League. They spent seven seasons back in the S&HCSL;, during which time they were relegated from Division One to Division Two, and in 1998 they decided to leave to join the Central Midlands League (CMFL), entering the Premier Division. They spent ten seasons in the Premier Division before winning promotion to the Supreme Division in 2008, only spending one year in the CMFL's top flight before being relegated back again due to the club's lack of floodlights. This problem was rectified in 2010, and just a year later they won the CMFL Floodlit Cup, the CM Premier Championship, the Doncaster and District FA Challenge Cup and the League Cup.

A field of Daytona Prototypes in Grand-Am's premier championship, the Rolex Sports Car Series The premiere series of Grand-Am was the Rolex Sports Car Series which originated in 2000 as a successor to the defunct United States Road Racing Championship. Combining classes of Sports Racing Prototypes and Grand Touring-style production-based cars, the series was centered on the Rolex 24 At Daytona but included a wide variety of American, Canadian, and Mexican tracks. In 2003, the series replaced its Sports Racing Prototypes with new Daytona Prototypes, a custom-built class built specifically for the Rolex Series. These cost-effective race cars offer a relatively economical racing environment in which technology is carefully controlled to ensure close racing and approximate parity between different chassis and engines.

There were four classes when the championship started in 1949; 500cc, 350cc, 250cc and 125cc. The 50cc class was introduced in the 1962 season. Due to escalating costs that resulted in a number of manufacturers leaving the championship, the FIM limited the 50cc bikes to a single cylinder, the 125cc and 250cc bikes were limited to two cylinders and the 350cc and 500cc bikes were limited to four cylinders. The 350cc class was discontinued in 1982; two years later the 50cc class was replaced with an 80cc class, which was discontinued in 1989. In 2002, 990cc bikes replaced the 500cc bikes and the class was renamed as MotoGP. 600cc bikes replaced the 250cc bikes in the 2010 season, with the class re-branded as Moto2.

Donal Óg Cusack (born 16 March 1977) is an Irish hurling coach and hurler who plays for Cork Premier Championship club Cloyne. He played for the Cork senior hurling team for 16 seasons, during which time he usually lined out as a goalkeeper. Noted for his innovative and sometimes controversial approach as a player and his championing of the cause of player welfare, Cusack is also regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers of his generation. Cusack began his hurling career at club level with Cloyne. He broke onto the club's top adult team as a 17-year-old in 1994 and enjoyed his greatest success two years later when the club won the 1997 Cork Intermediate Championship title and promotion. Cusack has made 85 championship appearances in three different grades of hurling for the club, while his early prowess also saw him selected for the Imokilly divisional team with whom he won the 1997 Cork Senior Championship. At inter-county level, Cusack was part of the successful Cork minor team that won the All-Ireland Championship in 1995 before later winning back-to-back All-Ireland Championships with the under-21 team in 1997 and 1998. He also won an All-Ireland Championships with the intermediate team in 1998.
