The school offers 21 extra-curricular activities, labelled as co-curricular activities (CCAs) by the Ministry of Education. The Battley Single Finger Print System was adopted, to reduce the period of search for a print found at the crime scene among the 470,000 impressions held. Carroll introduces the police cadet system to admit applicants of 18 years with a junior pass or a senior level school certificate.

Edmund Walcott Fosbery (6 February 1834 – 1 July 1919) was an English-born Australian politician. He was born at Wotton in Gloucester to navy captain Godfrey Fosbery and Catherine Lyons Walcott. He attended the Royal Navy School at New Cross in Surrey, but in lieu of entering the navy became a legal secretary to Benjamin Disraeli's solicitors. In 1852 he migrated to Victoria, going to the goldfields at Mount Alexander before becoming a police cadet in 1853.

Hampshire Constabulary Volunteer Police Cadet programme is divided into units consisting of around thirty cadets with a head cadet, deputy head cadet and team leaders. The rank insignia is worn on epaulettes on the shirts for formal occasions or ironed onto polo shirts which are used for less formal occasions. In 2018, Hampshire, Thames Valley Police, Sussex and Surrey standardised on uniforms and rank slides, although proliferation of the new uniform has been limited within Hampshire.

There are currently four uniformed groups in HCI: National Cadet Corps (Land), National Police Cadet Corps, St. John Ambulance Brigade, and Scouts (and Ventures & Rovers). These CCAs provide a highly structured organisation and a well-defined hierarchy. The HCI National Cadet Corps unit (HCINCC) has been awarded Gold for 15 consecutive years, winning the Best Unit Competition (BUC) in 2000. Also, HCINCC is the only Centre of Excellence in Precision Drill department amongst all NCC units in Singapore.

Lam was part of the first graduating class of the Royal Hong Kong Police Cadet School in 1974. He then joined the Hong Kong Police Training School and worked as a police officer for five years. Under the recommendation of producer Johnny Mak, Lam joined Rediffusion Television and made his acting debut in Crocodile Tears (). In 1980, Lam joined TVB.

It was challenging for him to undergo police cadet training, as his schedule often clashed with his skating training sessions. Thus Torvill and Dean had to practise during his off-hours. These difficult times brought them closer and gave them a sense of discipline that was to prove vital throughout their career. By 1980 Torvill and Dean had progressed to not only become British National Dance Champions but were in medal contention in international competitions as well.

The Royal Brunei Police Cadet Corps (Malay: Pasukan Kadet Polis Diraja Brunei) is a youth movement in Brunei Darussalam. The membership requires students or teachers from a secondary public or private schools from Brunei Darussalam, or a volunteer with status as a permanent residents or Bruneian nationality. As of 2012, the number enrolled reached 1,435 in every public and private school in Brunei Darussalam. The organisation itself is one of the most fastest growing and highest members in Brunei Darussalam.

Veale was born in 1966 and grew up in Midsomer Norton and Chilcompton, Somerset. He began his policing career as a police cadet aged 16, before joining Avon and Somerset Constabulary as a constable in 1984. He served in Bristol and Somerset before being promoted to Detective Superintendent and transferring to Wiltshire Police, where he was promoted to Detective Chief Superintendent as Head of CID. In 2009, Veale was appointed Temporary Assistant Chief Constable and then took up the post of divisional commander.

The main uniform groups are NCC (National Cadet Corps), NPCC (National Police Cadet Corps), NCDCC (National Civil Defence Cadet Corps), St John Ambulance Brigade, Red Cross Youth, Singapore Scout Association, Girl Guides, the Boys' Brigade and the Girls' Brigade. Students are expected to learn drills and must wear the respective uniforms. This is to prepare male students for National Service (NS) when they reach the age of 18. Besides military drills, they also learn skills such as team-bonding and first-aid.

After additional training and participating in the suppression of the Mau Mau Rebellion in Kenya, he was promoted to corporal. After assuming the rank of sergeant major, he enrolled in the police cadet school in Entebbe, Uganda. While on leave he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant. On 1 January 1967 the Ugandan government, in an attempt to instill discipline in the Uganda Army, created the Military Police Force and gave command of the unit to Adrisi and a second lieutenant.

The National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) is currently the largest uniformed group in Singapore, and in HCI, in terms of membership. HCINPCC is also one of the only 2 units in Singapore to have achieved 20 gold awards in the annual Unit Overall Proficiency Award (UOPA). They have received The NPCC Golden Cane, in honour of their achievement. The St. John Ambulance Brigade is one of two School Corps awarded Gold in the Corp Achievement Award for 16 consecutive years.

In the National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC), the position of Commandant is given to a Singapore Police Force officer who heads NPCC. The Commandant is aided by his Assistant Commandants, who are NPCC officers. As NPCC units around Singapore are divided into 20 "areas", each area is headed by an Area Commandant who is an NPCC officer. This Area Commandant is also usually an Officer from one of the units in the area that he/she is taking charge of.

When Tsang was 17 years old in 1983, she took part in TVB's 12th annual artist training class. After she signed a contract with TVB, the company immediately listed her as an important actress to promote, according to Phoenix Television. She repeatedly appeared on the children's TV show 430 Space Shuttle and played Miu Yuek-lan in the TV series The Flying Fox of Snowy Mountain. The Silent Precision Drill Squad of the Singapore Armed Forces Military Police Command (SAFMPC) is the sole drill unit of the Singapore Armed Forces that performs Exhibition drill. It is usually seen leading the contingent of new guards from the SAFMPC towards the Istana in the daily Guard mounting ceremony. It is also seen at the annual National Day Parade (NDP). The National Cadet Corps and National Police Cadet Corps also sport drill units, usually performing at school events competitions, or open houses.

Outward Bound Singapore (OBS) was established in 1967 at Pulau Ubin, by Dr Goh Keng Swee, while the National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) opened its 25-hectare site camp located between Kampung Bahru and Kampung Noordin.Chua, 2000. p. 38–39. The camp is called Camp Resilience where Secondary 2 and 3 NPCC cadets have a 3-day 2 night stay for training. Secondary 2 NPCC cadets go to Adventure Training Camp (ATC) while Secondary 3 NPCC cadets go to Survival Training Camp (STC).

The Police Act 1967 () is the Act of Parliament governing which governs the constitution, control, employment, recruitment, funds, discipline, duties, and powers of the Royal Malaysia Police including Royal Malaysia Police Reserve and the Royal Malaysia Police Cadet Corps. It was first enacted in 1967 (Act 41 of 1967) and then revised in 1988 as Act 344 of 1988. To date, there have been several attempts of amendments for the Police Act to be more in line with the internationally accepted human rights practices.

Dave Dee was born in Salisbury, Wiltshire and attended Adcroft School of Building, Trowbridge. Upon leaving school he became a police cadet with the Wiltshire Constabulary and as such was one of the first on the scene of the April 1960 car crash that resulted in the death of Eddie Cochran and serious injury to Gene Vincent. He later recounted that he started learning to play the guitar using Cochran's impounded Gretsch over several nights at the station. He became a professional musician in 1962.

Seri graduated from the 8th class of the Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School and graduated in the 24th class of the Royal Thai Police Cadet Academy. He took part in anti-communist operations in the Northeast, where he became close friends with Manoonkrit Roopkachorn. Because of this association, he was purged from the police after the NPKC Coup of 23 February 1992.

Richard Van Allan was born in Clipstone, Nottinghamshire, on 28 May 1935. He grew up in Derbyshire, singing in the church choir in Bolsover and participated in Gilbert and Sullivan operas at Brunts grammar school in Mansfield. He left school without finishing, becoming a police cadet, and became a constable after completing military service in Germany, where he became more interested in singing. He studied at Worcester Teacher Training College, during which he sang in concerts and performed in more amateur Gilbert and Sullivan productions.

Cecil L. Thomas (born October 21, 1952) is the Senator of the 9th district of the Ohio Senate. Thomas was born in rural northern Alabama and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio at a young age. After high school, he joined the Cincinnati police cadet program, and served the city of Cincinnati as a police officer for the next 27 years. In 2005, following his retirement from the police force, Thomas ran and won election to Cincinnati City Council, where he served for the next 8 years.

The uniform bodies that are present in the school is Marching Band and Wind Orchestra (STF Band), Malaysian Red Crescent Society (PBSM), National Police Cadet (Malaysia), Malaysian Fire Brigade Cadet, Persatuan Puteri Islam (PPI), Kadet Remaja Sekolah Malaysia(KRS), Persatuan Pandu Puteri Malaysia - Renjer (upper form) and Remaja (lower form). There are three niche areas in STF. They are hockey, basketball, and band. The school band is named "STF BAND", while the hockey team is "STRIDERS" and the school basketball team is called "DYNAMITES".

During the conflict Israel targeted numerous police facilities in Gaza. Many of these attacks occurred during the first minutes of the operations resulting in the deaths of 99 policemen and nine other members of the public. The attacks on Police during the first day of the operation included the bombing of a police cadet graduation ceremony, killing scores of police cadets along with family members who had come to attend the celebration. Police cadets killed in the incident included traffic police and musicians in the police orchestra.

Archer from a very young age enjoyed participating in social debate and when the opportunity came for her to be part of the UK youth parliament she ran for a seat. After she had her manifesto written, she went around schools and local youth clubs in Westminster asking for their support. Sarah Archer became deputy youth MP to Westminster Council then continuing to work with the UK youth parliament as a member. Sarah went on to become a police cadet which aided her in finishing her Duke of Edinburgh Gold award.

One SCS officer was convicted in 1983 of beating up suspects on the evidence of a police cadet, who was subsequently ostracised and resigned. As violence declined, complaints of threats increased, according to Kaye. Paul Fitzsimmons alleges that he was threatened while in prison with rearrest on release unless he supported the police's account of solicitors asking for bribes in another case, that of Ronnie Bolden. DS McManus is alleged to have asked Fitzsimmons to claim that Bolden's solicitors had offered him a bribe to give evidence to help Bolden.

The school has 3 Uniform Groups (UGs) - The Girls' Brigade, the National Police Cadet Corps and the St John's Brigade. All the UGs develop programs to engage the girls and to help them build character and leadership. The school has 3 Clubs and Societies which includes Photography, Media & Information Technology (MIT), and 3 interest groups including Chess Club, Sports Development Club and Astronomy Club. The school has 7 Sports teams that participates actively in the annual National Schools Games which include Badminton, Table Tennis, Swimming, Track & Field, Volleyball, Rhythmic Gymnastics and Netball.

In the National Cadet Corps (NCC), the National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) and the National Civil Defence Cadet Corps (NCDCC), the rank of lance corporal is below the rank of corporal. Generally, the rank is awarded to cadets in secondary two. NCC, NPCC and NCDCC lance corporals rarely, if not never, have the chance to command a squad. NCC lance corporals wear the same rank insignia as that of the SAF, except that the letters 'NCC' are below the insignia so as to differentiate NCC cadets from SAF personnel.

James Edward Anthony Tyler (31 October 1943 in Bristol – 28 October 2006 in Hastings, East Sussex) was a British writer who authored several books and wrote for the New Musical Express, Macworld, MacUser, PC Pro and Computer Shopper. After being expelled from school, Tyler became a police cadet, but quit when told his stammer was so extreme he would never be able to give evidence in court. He found employment as a trainee reporter on a Merseyside paper. His best friend Tim Craig (later the father of the actor Daniel Craig) was a merchant seaman.

After graduating from high school, Konieczny continued his education in a community college on a part- time schedule, while he began a career in law enforcement. He earned an AA certificate in Administration of Justice and a BA degree in Criminal Justice. From 1972 to 1975, he held several civilian positions in law enforcement such as a Police Cadet, desk officer, and police dispatcher. He served as an officer with the police departments of Anaheim and Garden Grove, California from 1975 until 1992, earning several commendations including two Meritorious Service Commendations.

Lani Price is a fictional character from Days of Our Lives, an American soap opera on the NBC network. The UMPD has several specialized units that make up the department including bicycle, K-9, motorcycle, and mounted horseback units as well as foot and vehicle patrol. The Police Cadet program has been a part of the UMPD since 2000. It is viewed as a successful program by the department and the UMass community since the cadets are an important part of the police department. Their presence can be seen mostly in the residential areas, where the cadets work very closely with police officers and Residence Hall Security.

Mary gets wind of a case involving the serial killer of several teenage girls, including a handful of her classmates. Charles Hopel Brown, aka "Charlie Brown" (born 9 October 1964 at Morant Bay, Saint Thomas Parish, Jamaica), is a US Army veteran and computer engineer. After leaving Robert Lightbourne High School, where he was a member of the cadet corp, he then became a police cadet and later enlisted in the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF). In 1985, he migrated to the United States and enlisted in the Armed Forces on 18 May 1988 after acquiring legal resident status in February 1988. A 1996 graduate of South Florida State College, he earned an associate degree in computer programming.

Such were the bonds of friendship, however, that they maintained contact and discussed the possibility of forming an Old Boys side, with advice and support from Mr R Parfitt Snr, a Police Cadet Rugby manager. The idea became a reality and on 12 September 1964, they played their first fixture against, as it so happened, Yardley Church Rugby Club, at the Oakland's. Old Biertonians, like Yardley had to rely on parks pitches and education grounds, changing home grounds quite frequently. Yardley and Old Biertonians, both being local clubs, had regular fixtures over the years with a Boxing Day game becoming something of a tradition.

The National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) is one of the national uniformed group for youths in Singapore. As of 2011, the organisation has 16,185 members, with 14,850 of them being cadets. With the support of two ministries, namely the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Home Affairs, the latter of which the Singapore Police Force (SPF) is part of, the organisation has grown from being a relative newcomer compared to other uniformed groups, to being one of the more well-established ones in terms of reputation, standards, and acceptability among the youths of Singapore and their parents. The current Commandant of NPCC is Superintendent of Police Hoo Poh Heng.

The popularity of the Five Tigers led TVB to continue with similar group projects even after the members of the Five Tigers left TVB. However, none of them were that successful. Many television dramas that featured the members of the Five Tigers, notably The Legend of the Condor Heroes (1983), The Return of the Condor Heroes (1983), Police Cadet (1984), The Duke of Mount Deer (1984), and Looking Back in Anger (1989), were branded as classics by many in Asia. On 27 June 2010, during a press conference for a training academy in Panyu, Guangzhou, Tong revealed that the five members are planning for another reunion project.

Charles Chong You Fook (, born 24 June 1953) is a former Singaporean politician. A former member of the country's governing People's Action Party (PAP), Chong was a Member of Parliament representing Punggol East Single Member Constituency (Punggol East SMC), and was the Acting Speaker of Parliament for a month, following the resignation of former Speaker Halimah Yacob on 7 August 2017. He was previously Chairman of the National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) Council, which governs the NPCC and National Civil Defence Cadet Corps. Chong retired as Deputy Speaker of Parliament, and MP for Punggol East SMC following his retirement from politics after 32 years on 23 June 2020.

She served as a Police Activities League Cadet and Civil Service Police Cadet prior to entering the department. She was sworn in as a police officer in 1977, and worked through the ranks of inspector, sergeant, lieutenant, captain, commander, deputy chief, assistant chief, acting chief, and then permanent chief. During her career, she has been assigned to patrol, served as an Academy training officer and instructor, child abuse investigator, youth programs coordinator, drug education instructor, grant writer, strategic planner, district station watch commander and commanding officer. Chief Fong was assigned to the Special Operations Division in August 1998 when she was promoted to commander.

During this period Metropolitan Police cadet training was split between Hendon and Ashford but in 1972 was moved completely to Hendon. The Grosvenor Hall estate was bought by the Home Office for use as a regional training centre on 1 January 1973 and was officially opened by Mark Carlisle, the Secretary of State for the Home Office on 6 July 1973. Staff, including the first commandant, were moved from a training centre at Nutfield in Surrey which was closed down. To begin with Ashford was used for continuation courses (see below) the initial training being provided at Sandgate in Kent and Eynsham Hall near Oxford.

Young Science Police cadet Gim Allon was on Mars chasing a fugitive just moments prior to the meteor strike that would imbue him with the growth powers he would use to become a Legionnaire. That criminal, Char Burrane would later escape again, and while fleeing across the Martian surface, would stumble upon a mysterious ring which was capable of generating two super- powered women, identifying themselves as Starlight and Starbright who originated from a micro world contained within the ring itself. With their powers, Burrane then begins building a criminal empire. Years later, he claims the name of Starfinger and has Hanscom killed on Takron-Galtos II to announce his arrival.

The rank of deputy superintendent of police is the highest rank attainable by an officer in the National Police Cadet Corps. The rank of acting deputy superintendent of police is vested onto NPCC headquarters appointment holders who have not actually attained the rank of deputy superintendent of police. The rank insignia of deputy superintendent of police and acting deputy superintendent of police is the same, with both wearing the Singapore coat of arms above a single pip. NPCC officers who hold the rank of deputy superintendent of police have a single row of silver braid on the peak of their cap (for males) or bowler hat (for females).

The opening ceremonies are a grandiose affair, alternating between a full stadium-sized ceremony with marching contingents by the uniformed groups and mass display segments, and indoor ceremonies showcasing the performance arts groups. The former are currently held during the even years, and the latter, the odd years, although the rebuilding of the National Stadium has required a temporary shift into the Singapore Indoor Stadium even for the traditionally outdoor ceremonies. The Opening Ceremony of the 2010 edition of the Singapore Youth Festival was held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. It was hosted by the National Police Cadet Corps, with the theme "Torch of Friendship", as a tie-up for the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games.

There are a number of Volunteer Police Cadet schemes for young people aged (in most cases) between 14 and 18. These groups are designed to provide a sense of what it is like to be a police officer, by getting cadets involved in various police related activities, such as crime prevention projects. Some forces allow cadets to go out on patrol with Police Officers in connection with non- confrontational policing duties, once they reach the age of 14. Each scheme is sponsored by a statutory police service, although it has a separate identity, and in that sense is more distant from regular policing than the work of the former full-time Police Cadets.

Also in August or September, Kay Bennett was attacked by a gang of men while walking through the park at night, though Fox Crane soon arrived and the two defeated the group. Liz Sanbourne also revealed during the tsunami that Julian Crane had raped her in Boston many years previously (she later revealed that it had been Alistair who had done the deed, thus producing a son, Chad Harris-Crane). The most prominent rape storyline began in December 2006, when Crane heiress and police cadet Fancy Crane was raped during a sting operation designed to catch a peeping tom. The brutal attack left Fancy in a brief coma and emotionally traumatized the young woman.

Ryan joined Lancashire Constabulary on 16 January 1961 as a police cadet. He completed the training course at Bruche Police National Training Centre in 1963, and on 19 May was given his first posting as a probationer in Little Hulton on the outskirts of Greater Manchester. In 1968, Ryan was one of the first intake of police officers into the new University of Lancaster, and upon graduation with a Bachelor of Arts he was promoted to sergeant, and in 1973 was promoted to inspector stationed at headquarters in Preston. Ryan joined the Metropolitan Police Service in London, and was Chief Superintendent at Chelsea Police Station during the Harrods bombing in December 1983.

The PCG also has collaborations with the Republic of Korea Coast Guard and makes regular contacts with the Hong Kong Police Force's Marine Region through a reciprocal attachment programme. The PCG has collaborated with the National Police Cadet Corps to establish sea units in secondary schools. The first two units were set up in Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) and Springfield Secondary School in 2002, with the PCG's pool of reservists and Volunteer Special Constabulary officers providing training for the cadets. The first all-girls sea unit was set up in Raffles Girls' School (Secondary) in 2006. The PCG also supports the Special Tactics and Rescue Unit’s maritime assault capability, which was launched on 2 February 2005.

The term Cadet Movement applies when speaking of everyone associated with the program including the CF, DND, Leagues, Community Sponsors, Cadets, and parents and guardians of cadets. Although cadets in other countries may have to take part in the military in their country, cadets in Canada do not have to join the Canadian Armed Forces. The Canadian cadet organization is the largest youth organization in Canada and the largest Cadet group in the world. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police used to maintain police cadet partnership with Scouts Canada called the RCMP Rovers and Ventures; however, it has been re-constituted into the RCMP Stetsons and Spurs and is run by various RCMP detachments.

In the National Cadet Corps (NCC), the rank of Third Sergeant is below Second Sergeant, and above Corporal. In the National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) and the National Civil Defence Cadet Corps (NCDCC), the rank of Sergeant is below Staff Sergeant, and above Corporal. The rank of Third Sergeant and Sergeant is held by cadets who have been appointed as Non-Commissioned Officers by their units and thus have the power to command a squad. NPCC and NCDCC Sergeants wear a rank insignia of three pointed-down chevrons, with the letters 'NPCC' and 'NCDCC' located below the insignia, so as to differentiate NPCC and NCDCC cadets from Singapore Police Force and Singapore Civil Defence Force personnel respectively.

Upon returning to Harmony, Fancy comes to realize that she has feelings for Luis and, with Sheridan's blessing, begins to actively pursue a relationship with him. She quits her job at Crane and joins the police cadet training program in order to be close to the object of her desires, but she eventually comes to love police work, as well, and refuses to quit when she discovers that officers and cadets are forbidden from fraternizing. Instead, she and Luis decide to officially begin dating after she has been graduated from the police academy. While playing with her young cousin, James, Fancy realizes that the boy saw the man who had murdered one of the Cranes' maids, Phyllis.

In August, the group mounted two prominent operations - an armed robbery at a factory in Algiers on the 21st, and an attack on a police barracks in Soumaa on the 27th, killing a police cadet and taking weaponry. They painted the phrase "Allah the Avenger is with us!" across the gates of the barracks at Soumaa, to indicate that their motive was not simple criminality. Over the next two years, his group would continue its campaign, inflicting losses on government forces when pursued, but more generally targeting institutions it saw as un-Islamic, such as girls' schools, libraries, restaurants, and cinemas. On February 3, 1987, Bouyali finally fell in an ambush by the security services, and the movement was destroyed.

A series of reviews and changes to the uniforms took place across the various police units from the 2000s onwards. In 2002, the whistle chain was completely removed from all uniforms (except for some uniforms worn by the Gurkha Contingent) in the police force, the National Police Cadet Corps, as well as amongst CISCO officers. The new all-cotton combat uniform for the Police National Service Key Installation Protection Units was introduced in the same year. Amongst land divisions, the No.3 uniform (also known as the working dress) was enhanced with the buttons sewn on (instead of using metal rings previously) in 2004, while the name tag was changed from using a metal pin to Velcro for affixing to the uniform.

Scott's administration background served him well in some of the more managerial aspects of the Commissionership, and he managed some considerable cost savings for the Met. He also improved the public relations outlook of the service, including granting Ealing Studios unprecedented assistance in the production of the film The Blue Lamp, which was to lead to the TV series Dixon of Dock Green, which painted a rosy view of the Metropolitan Police fostered by Jack Warner's portrayal of genial PC George Dixon. Scott presided over several high-profile cases during his time with the Met, including the Derek Bentley trial for the murder of police officer PC Sidney Miles. In 1951, Scott introduced a police cadet training scheme for young people aged between 16 and 18.

Also that year, in an important reproductive rights case, a federal court upheld the NYCLU's position that denial of Medicaid payments for elective abortions is unconstitutional. In 1973, the New York Human Rights Commission ordered Nassau County to admit women to the police cadet training program in response to a discrimination claim brought by NYCLU's Nassau chapter. In 1974, the NYCLU won enactment of state legislation prohibiting discrimination in credit transactions based on sex, marital status or child-bearing capacity. 1975 marked a series of triumphs for the NYCLU, starting with the US Court of Appeals ruling that a high school teacher was wrongly suspended for wearing a black arm band to protest Vietnam War; the NYCLU prevailed in the case drawing national attention to the issue.

In the Singapore Police Force, ASP is the second lowest senior officer rank, immediately above an inspector and below a deputy superintendent of police. New police officer cadets holding university degrees graduate from the Home Team Academy as inspectors. In the National Police Cadet Corps, the rank of acting assistant superintendent of police (A/ASP (NPCC)) is given to inspectors who have not attained the rank of ASP (NPCC) but have been appointed as the officer commanding of their unit. The rank insignia of assistant superintendent of police and acting assistant superintendent of police is the same, with both wearing the Singapore coat of arms, with the letters 'NPCC' below it to differentiate NPCC ranks from Singapore Police Force ones.

ACS Sitiawan offers uniformed units such as Military Band, Boys’ Brigade, Scouts Association of Malaysia, Malaysian Red Crescent Society, Malaysia School Youth Cadet Corps, Police Cadet, Girls’ Brigade, Girl Guides Malaysia and Puteri Islam. As for form six students, their co-curricular activities operate separately from the lower form students, but in general the uniformed units offered are similar with an addition of the Sixth Formers Society, where they are the student representative for the sixth formers. The school band was founded in 1974 by Mr. Moses Tay, the school’s former principal. Throughout its history, the band has involved in various activities such as marching with formations, street parade as well as wind orchestral competition. On the other hand, the school has the first Scouts association in Manjung, hence their name “01’ Manjung”.

For the National Cadet Corps (NCC), the rank of Corporal is below the rank of Third Sergeant, and above the rank of Lance Corporal. For the National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) and the National Civil Defence Cadet Corps (NCDCC), the rank of Corporal is below the rank of Sergeant, and above the rank of Lance Corporal. For NCC, the rank insignia is same as that of an SAF CPL, except that the letters 'NCC' are below the insignia, so as to differentiate NCC cadets from SAF personnel. As for NPCC and NCDCC, the rank insignia is two pointed-down chevrons with the letters 'NPCC' and 'NCDCC' below the insignia, so as to differentiate NPCC and NCDCC cadets from Singapore Police Force and Singapore Civil Defence Force personnel, respectively.

Nan Chiau High School offers a wide variety of extra-curricular activities, labelled Co- Curricular Activities (CCA) by the Ministry of Education, consisting of sports groups, uniformed groups, performing arts, clubs and societies. Of which, many CCAs have attained spectacular performances throughout the years of history of the institution since its relocation to Sengkang in 2001. The NCHS National Cadet Corps unit (NCHSNCC) has been awarded Gold for 19 consecutive years, winning the Best Unit Competition (BUC) in 2014. The National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC, currently the largest uniformed group in Singapore) unit of the institution have attained Gold Award consecutively for 11 years in the annual Unit Overall Proficiency Award (UOPA). The NCHS Red Cross Youth attained the Community Service Award (Gold) for years 2010 and 2013, and the Excellence Unit Award (Gold) for years 2011 and 2012.

He said he did not know if Rittenhouse had been part of the group, but said the possibility of such an incident was why he had refused the request. Rittenhouse has been described as having participated in local police cadet programs and expressing support on social media for the Blue Lives Matter movement and law enforcement. In the hours leading up to the shooting, Rittenhouse appeared in multiple videos by protesters and bystanders, including in two interviews: One by a livestreamer at a car dealership where he and at the same time a number of other armed men had stationed themselves, the other by a Daily Caller reporter. Some of the men were affiliated with the Kenosha Guard, but it denied any affiliation with Rittenhouse and its leader said he never met or communicated with him.

Although victims'-family groups agreed that names would be grouped by workplace or other affiliation, NYPD cadet Mohammad Salman Hamdani was not included with the other first responders or the other victims whose remains were found in the wreckage of the North Tower. His name appears on the memorial's panel 66 for World Trade Center victims (next to a blank space along the South Tower perimeter), with those who did not fit into the groups created by the memorial committee or who had a loose connection to the World Trade Center. Hamdani's mother, Talat, has campaigned for the Memorial to acknowledge her son as a police cadet and first responder. Hamdani received a full police-department funeral after his body was found (months after the attacks), and the street on which he lived was renamed in his honor.

Raymond Walter Kelly (born September 4, 1941) is the longest serving Commissioner in the history of the New York City Police Department (NYPD) and the first man to hold the post for two non-consecutive tenures. According to its website, Kelly — a lifelong New Yorker—had spent 47 years in the NYPD, serving in 25 different commands and as Police Commissioner from 1992 to 1994 and again from 2002 until 2013. Kelly was the first man to rise from Police Cadet to Police Commissioner, holding all of the department's ranks, except for Three-Star Bureau Chief, Chief of Department and Deputy Commissioner, having been promoted directly from Two-Star Chief to First Deputy Commissioner in 1990. After his handling of the World Trade Center bombing in 1993, he was mentioned for the first time as a possible candidate for FBI Director.

"State mulling Student Police Cadet", N J Nair, The Hindu, 7 December 2009 Subsequently, at Kozhikode in January 2010, a squad of specially trained high school students was entrusted with the responsibility of crowd management at Kerala School Youth Festival, Asia's largest youth-focused cultural festival involving more than 10,000 participants. Following the successful execution of this task by the cadets, and in light of the success stories from project-implemented schools, a detailed proposal for a statewide school-based training programme was prepared under the guidance of Sri Jacob Punnoose IPS (DGP-Kerala) and submitted to the Government of Kerala. On the basis of this report, the Government of Kerala issued GO (P)121/2010/Home dated 29 May 2010, with the stated objective of moulding a generation of law-abiding, socially committed and service-oriented youth. A state-level Advisory Committee was constituted with Sri.

Veness was educated at Raynes Park High School, London, and at Trinity College, Cambridge, where he gained Master of Arts and Master of Laws degrees. After two years as a police cadet, he joined the Metropolitan Police in 1966, transferring to the Criminal Investigation Department in 1969, serving in various roles across London and at the Met's headquarters, Scotland Yard. Veness trained as a negotiator in 1979, directing the Met's negotiator course from 1980–87, a role which placed him on the negotiating team at the 1980 Iranian Embassy Siege and in which he was lead negotiator in the siege of the Libyan embassy following the murder of Yvonne Fletcher as well as advising on other incidents worldwide. Promoted to commander in 1987, Veness went on to head the Protection Command, responsible for the protection of royalty and politicians before assuming the role of Commander Public Order, Territorial Security and Operational Support followed by promotion to Deputy Assistant Commissioner at Specialist Operations in November 1991.

The parade has been a traditional segment of the National Day Parade. Participants of the parade include members of the Singapore Armed Forces, Singapore Police Force, Singapore Civil Defence Force, representatives of the People's Action Party, different labour unions (including members of the National Trades Union Congress) and Ministries as well as students in uniformed groups (such as the National Cadet Corps, National Police Cadet Corps, National Civil Defence Cadet Corps, the Singapore Red Cross, the Boys' and Girls' Brigades, the Scouts Association, the Girl Guides and St. John Ambulance Brigade) and representatives of various Singapore business entities. Participants are split into two main sections: the Guard-of-Honour contingents and the Supporting Contingents. The four Guard-of-Honour contingents are made up of members from the three arms of the Singapore Armed Forces (the Singapore Army, represented by the Best Combat Unit, for many years the 1st Commando Battalion of the Singapore Armed Forces Commando Formation; the Republic of Singapore Navy; and the Republic of Singapore Air Force) as well as the Singapore Police Force.
