As a student Forsman attended the Adolf Fredrik's Music School in Stockholm. 1981-2009, 33 of her songs have competed in the Swedish Melodifestivalen, three of them winners: Bra vibrationer (1985), Se på mej (1995) and Kärleken är (1998). She has also written the text to psalm number 862 in the Swedish hymn book, Blomningstid, and two children's books.

Following Herreys' victory in the previous year, Sweden were the hosts of the Eurovision Song Contest 1985. The venue chosen for the show was the country's second city, Gothenburg. In order to save money for the staging of the Eurovision Song Contest itself, the competition to select Sweden's national entry, Melodifestivalen, was a low-budget version in 1985. Of the ten entries, five went through to a second round, which was won by the song "Bra vibrationer", written by Lasse Holm and Ingela "Pling" Forsman and sung by Kikki Danielsson.

In June 2006, Nanne cancelled her tour and announced that she was suffering from breast cancer, which she recovered from some months later. After 10,000 singles were sold, with only airplay on pirate radio, the official radio stations started playing the song and it went to the number one spot in the Dutch Top 40. During his studies he was awarded "Work of the Year" by NOPA (now Edvardprisen), together with Anneli Drecker and Nils Johansen from the band Bel Canto, for the work "Tierre Obletz" (1993). Sunde was awarded the Spellemannprisen 1990 within the band Oslo Groove Company, and was also nominated within Sharp9 (2004), as well as within Norske Store Orkester (2006) as Sunde also is musical director for (2005–).

Tio år med Agnetha (Ten Years With Agnetha) is a 1979 compilation album by Swedish pop singer Agnetha Fältskog, one of the members of ABBA. The album, released when ABBA's international career was at its peak, features the most successful Swedish solo recordings Fältskog made before and during her career with the band and it was her last album on the CBS-Cupol label. The album, released in October 1979, included one new recording, "När du tar mej i din famn" (When You Take Me in Your Arms), composed and produced by Fältskog herself in the Polar Studios and with the same musicians and sound engineers (Michael B. Tretow) as on contemporary ABBA recordings. The lyrics were written by Ingela "Pling" Forsman who since has become one of Sweden's most prolific and successful lyricists, with some twenty-five entries taking part in the Melodifestivalen, several of which have also competed in the Eurovision Song Contest.

Berstad started her musical career as a guitarist and music teacher. She later studied music theory at the University of Oslo and composition with Lasse Thoresen and Olav Anton Thommessen at the Norwegian State Academy of Music, where she received her diploma in 1997. Key Berstad works include Verto for voice, cello and tape (1992), recorded on the CD Definitely Pling-Plong; Respiro for amplified clarinet and tape (1994), performed during the ISCM World Music Days 1997 in Korea; the orchestral work Krets, premiered at the festival Stavanger Specu lum (1996) by the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra; Zeugma for chamber ensemble (1997), the string quartet Toreuma (1997), premiered by the Arditti String Quartet at the 1999 Ultima Oslo Contemporary Music Festival, and emutatio (1999) for mezzo-soprano, chamber choir and chamber orchestra, commissioned for the EBU marking of the millennium. For this piece Berstad received the Edvard Prize in 2001 and in the same year she was bestowed with the Norwegian State Guarantee Income for Artists.
