Peu Sousa was born in Salvador, Bahia on July 22, 1977, and was the stepson of Novos Baianos member Luiz Galvão. He began his career in 1995 with the band Dois Sapos e Meio, which lasted until 1999, and later served as a live musician during performances of Carlinhos Brown and his stepfather. In 2003 he was invited by singer Pitty to be part of her live band; he stayed for one year, during which he was the guitarist of her debut Admirável Chip Novo and co-wrote the track "Déjà-Vu" off her 2005 album Anacrônico. In 2005 he formed the band Trêmula, which was nominated for a MTV Video Music Brazil award.

Broadway shopping centre The City of Bradford developed over some time and sits in a natural bowl with hills to the west, south and east that rise to above sea level. Lewis describes the town of Bradford in 1848 as being "pleasantly situated at the junction of three fertile valleys". The immediate east and south east was moorland until comparatively recently, with names such as Bradford Moor indicating the true nature of the land. Several streams feed into the city (Pitty Beck, Pinch Beck, Hole Bottom Beck, Clayton Beck, Horton Beck, Chellow Dean Beck and two smaller ones near to the city centre) and merge in the city centre leaving Bradford flowing northwards as Bradford Beck.

A man named Bailey intends to take his family from Georgia to Florida for a summer vacation, but his mother (referred to as "the grandmother" in the story), wants him to drive to East Tennessee, where the grandmother has friends ("connections"). She argues that his children, John Wesley and June Star, have never been to East Tennessee, and she shows him a news article in The Atlanta Journal- Constitution about an escaped murderer who calls himself "The Misfit" and was last seen in Florida. The next day, the grandmother wakes up early to hide her cat, Pitty Sing, in a basket on the floor in the back of the car. She is worried that the cat will die while they are gone.

Nove Mil Anjos was conceived by Junior Lima in 2008, one year after the break-up of Sandy & Junior, the duo he was a part of alongside his sister Sandy which acquired massive success throughout the 1990s and the 2000s. Besides Lima, who was the drummer, the band also comprised guitarist Peu Sousa (previously a live musician for singer Pitty), bassist Champignon (of Charlie Brown Jr. and Revolucionnários) and vocalist Péricles "Perí" Carpigiani. The band's name, however, was suggested by Sousa, who claimed it came to him through a dream. Later that year they released their first single, "Chuva Agora", through their official Myspace page, and made their debut show at the MTV Video Music Brazil award ceremony in October.

Tim Palmer is an English record producer, audio engineer, guitarist and songwriter of rock and alternative music. He mixed Pearl Jam's debut album Ten (1991) and tracks on U2's album All That You Can't Leave Behind (2000). Palmer has produced for over four decades and has worked with artists such as U2, Robert Plant, Ozzy Osbourne, Tears For Fears, The Mission, Mighty Lemon Drops, Gene Loves Jezebel, Pearl Jam, David Bowie’s Tin Machine, HIM, Blue October, Jason Mraz, The Polyphonic Spree, The House of Love, Texas, Tarja Turunen, The Cure, Cutting Crew, Porcupine Tree, Faith Hill, Goo Goo Dolls, LIVE, Kandace Springs, Sweet Water, Lang Lang, Switchfoot, Lizz Wright, Billy Childs, Goldfinger, J.D. Souther, Steve Grand, Pitty and Orlando Draven.

This had a shallow string net, which they used to scoop up the ball. The idea was to scoop up the ball, which was a little larger than a tennis ball, ride with it to the end of the arena and drop it into the net to score. Realising the possibilities of this exercise as an outdoor horse sport, the couple returned to Australia with sticks, balls and rule books where they sought the assistance of Alf Pitty, a well known horseman and polo player. After many hours of discussion, practising, and much trial and error and with constant revision of the rules, they finally came up with a new and exciting game using only one horse and able to be played by a person of any age.

In 1999 Deckdisc brought back to the music scene the band Ultraje a Rigor with the launch of the CD "18 Anos Sem Tirar" and in 2000 came the biggest hit of all, the launch of the debut CD of Falamansa. In November 2001, Deckdisc became the first Brazilian independent label to launch its own distribution in Rio de Janeiro. It is also owned by Deckdisc, Editora Musical Deck that has about 6000 songs and released more than 3000 already recorded. Among its authors are big collectors copyright of Brazil, as Tato (Falamansa), Pitty, Zé Henrique (dual Zé Henrique & Gabriel), Thais Nascimento, Miltinho Edilberto, Eduardo Krieger, Edgard Scandurra (Ira!) Roger Moreira (Ultraje) and members of the Grupo Revelação, the Sorriso Maroto and the bands Dead Fish, Gram, Cachorro Grande and Ludov.

Few records concerning his career have survived, and even his principal biographer John Prince (died 1723) remarked:Prince, p.651 :"What the particular vertues and accidents of his life were it is pitty history hath not handed down to posterity; but the extraordinary parts and accomplishments of this gentleman, with his eminent skill and learning in the law, may be inferr'd if from nothing else, from his raising a family in this county, both for title and estate, much greater than most of his ancestors". Prince added:Prince, p.652 :"All I shall farther add is only this upon the whole, that for one to mount from the condition of a younger brother in a private family, to the degree of a baronet, and leave so fair an estate and so high a title to his name and posterity, is an argument of pregnant parts and an extraordinary blessing of Providence".

The three principals endure the brunt of Hogarth's satire. Wilks (to the left of the picture) declares "Poor R—ch, Faith I pitty him" as he sits dangling a puppet of Mr. Punch, a none-too subtle suggestion that he exceeds Rich in his desire to pander to the lowest denominator. Cibber looks heavenward to the painted Muses and entreats "Assist, ye Sacred Nine", while Booth dangles the puppet of Jack Hall and says "Ha, This will do G—d D—me". The ropes above the impresarios mirror the puppets they dangle below, and suggest that the managers will go to any lengths to entertain, even stringing themselves up in a fashion similar to the unhappy fiddler who dangles in the wings (The Music for ye What Entertainment which hangs close by, probably refers to John Gay's The What D'Ye Call It, another satire on the theatrical fashions).

The work of Demetrio Herrera Sevillano (1902–1950) is also a part of this avant-garde movement; his work was greatly influenced by ultraísmo. Another poet of this era, who was also a short-story writer and journalist, was Mario Augusto Rodríguez (1917). In 1957, he published his poetry collection Canto de amor para la Patría novia, a poetic history of the Panamanian nation. Other major poets of this era include Stella Sierra, Roque Javier Laurenza, Ofelia Hooper, Tobías Díaz Blaitry (1919–2006), Tristán Solarte (1934), José de Jesús Martínez, Diana Morán (1932), Alvaro Menéndez Franco (1932), Luis Carlos Jiménez Varela, José Guillermo Ross-Zanet (1930), José Franco (1931), and Elsie Alvarado de Ricord (1928–2005). Major poets of the next generation included Benjamín Ramón (1939), Bertalicia Peralta (1939), Ramón Oviero (1939–2008), Moravia Ochoa López (1941), Dimas Lidio Pitty (1941-2015), Roberto Fernández Iglesias (1941), Eric Arce (1942), Enrique Jaramillo Levi (1944), Jarl Ricardo Babot (1945), Giovanna Benedetti (1950), Manuel Orestes Nieto (1951), Moisés Pascual (1955), Consuelo Tomás (1957), Héctor M. Collado (1960), and Pablo Menacho (1960).

The next generation is that of authors born since 1932. Many of these authors are still producing literary works. This generation is notable for its abandonment of criollismo as a narrative theme in favor of universal themes, and in some cases, emphasizing dream and fantasy.

Bull and Farnham's tale was apparently widespread enough that Farnham felt the need for his own testimony of his beliefs, dispelling rumours that he had claimed to be the Second Coming of Christ, and instead asserting that he and Bull were the "two witnesses" of , who, the Book of Revelation recorded, would "prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth". Heywood was hostile to Bull's prophesies, observing they seemed "to smell of the Sect of the Thraskites and Sabbatarians", and entreating the reader to "pitty their ignorance" and "wondrest at their impudence". Bull was imprisoned on 4 May 1636, residing in Bridewell Prison, where Farnham joined him in 1638, after brief stints at Newgate Prison and Bedlam. In 1638, after apparently enduring months of hard labour, he petitioned Archbishop of Canterbury, William Laud to be brought to trial, protesting the "labour of beating hemp, to the afflicting of his weak body, and the being companion of all manner of rogues, to the vexation of his soul", and beseech him that "if he be a false prophet, it is your duty to deal with him as the word of God requires".
