In the summer of 2009, Veselinović moved to Belgium and signed with Brussels. After his fantastic performances for the Brussels-based club, he signed for their cross-city rivals Anderlecht in December 2010, penning a 4.5-year deal. He made his debut later that day against Ellesmere Rangers, his only appearance for the club. In January 2020 he returned to Oldham Athletic, signing a permanent contract until the end of the 2019–20 season. In June 2020 he signed a new two-year contract.

Marcus Vincent Williams (born 8 April 1986) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left back. Williams started his career at Scunthorpe United before moving to Reading and then to Sheffield United. Williams has signed for Scunthorpe on four separate occasions, twice on a permanent contract and twice on loan, as well as spending a short period on loan with Peterborough United.
Clayton joined Championship club Leeds United on a month's loan on 6 August 2010, and made his debut the following day as a 76th-minute substitute in a 2–1 home defeat against Derby County. On September 3, 2018, Lucas signed a trial contract with Kalev/Cramo of the Estonian league. In November, the team announced that he would not be retained on a permanent contract. On January 14, 2019, Antwerp Giants of the Belgian Pro Basketball League announced that Lucas would be joining the team for the remainder of the season. He did not pass his physical and did not play for the Giants.

Peter Shreeves remained at Sheffield Wednesday for the 2000–01 season as assistant to their new manager Paul Jewell. Feely scored his first football league goal for Newport versus Rochdale on 3 May 2014. On 22 May 2014, he was released from Charlton Athletic, and on 30 May 2014 signed a permanent contract with Newport County.Feely joins Newport On 1 September 2015 his Newport contract was cancelled by mutual consent so that Feely could return to full-time education. In the 1994–95 season, although a reasonable defensive record was maintained, Sunderland were lacking goals and as a result got entangled in a relegation battle which cost Buxton his job in March 1995. The board then appointed Peter Reid as temporary manager, in the hopes of keeping the Black Cats clear of relegation. That objective was achieved within weeks, and Reid was rewarded with a permanent contract.

Born in Sheffield, West Yorkshire, Newey began his career as a trainee with Leeds United in August 2002. He was loaned to Cambridge United in February 2003 where he made seven league and cup appearances, and was then loaned to Darlington in March 2003 where he also made seven appearances, scoring one goal. He was offered a permanent contract by Darlington in May 2003 but turned it down.

In an effort to continue his development, Livingston allowed Neill on to move on loan to fellow Scottish League One side Stranraer for the remainder of the 2016–17 season. After returning from his loan spell Neill was released by Livingston in May 2017, subsequently signing a permanent contract with Stranraer where he went on to be a key player making 59 appearances in a season and a half.
Sydney-born Carney attended Robert Townson Primary School in Campbelltown, New South Wales. At the age of 16, Carney moved to England after impressing in a trial match and signing for Everton. There he played in various youth and reserve teams alongside Manchester United star Wayne Rooney, most notably at the 2002 FA Youth Cup final. After not securing a permanent contract at Everton F.C., he left the club in 2003.
Miller received interest in January 2009 as Championship club Queens Park Rangers expressed their wishes to secure a loan deal. Sunderland manager Ricky Sbragia said "There's been some interest in Liam from QPR, so something might happen there". On 15 January, Miller signed a permanent contract until the end of the season for an undisclosed fee. He made his debut 12 days later, starting in a 3–0 win at Blackpool.
On 28 November 2013, Morgan signed for Football League Championship side Yeovil Town on loan until January with a view to a permanent deal in the new year. Rory Thornton (born 16 March 1995) is a Welsh rugby union player who plays for the Cardiff Blues. His position is lock forward. Thornton began his rugby career at Bonymaen RFC before joining the Swansea RFC and then the Ospreys. Thornton joined the Cardiff blues on a season long loan prior to the 2018-2019 Pro 14 season and then signed a permanent contract with Cardiff for the following season.
After winning the First Division title with Livi, scoring one goal in the process against Falkirk, Jackson was not offered a permanent contract. He returned to the Premier League with St Johnstone on a one-year deal. Jackson made nine league appearances for Saints, scoring once against Dundee, before being allowed to join Clydebank on loan in January 2002, where scored a début goal in a 1–0 win.
Assistant manager Micky Cummins revealed that manager Steve Watson had previously tried to sign him whilst at Gateshead. Often used as an attacking central midfielder in a 4–3–3 formation, he played 16 matches for York and scored one goal, a long-range volley against Kidderminster Harriers that was named York's goal of the season. He was handed a three-month prison sentence by the courts. Despite this, Birmingham manager Steve Bruce and chairman David Gold vowed to stand by Pennant once his sentence was over. He was released from prison after serving 30 days and wore an electronic tag in a match against Tottenham Hotspur. Pennant signed a permanent contract with Birmingham on 25 April 2005 for a fee of £3 million.
Delaney joined Celtic on provisional forms in 1933 from Stoneyburn Juniors, signing a permanent contract the following year. Delaney suffered the misfortune of a badly broken arm in a home game against Arbroath in April 1939. The injury sustained being further exacerbated by the opposition player Attilio Becchi (who was apparently a Celtic fan) accidentally stepping on Delaney's arm. Delaney's torn football shirt was sold at auction for £564 in 2002.
In late January 2011, Tuni was loaned to Catalan club Gimnàstic de Tarragona on a six-month loan, and contributed with seven starts – 560 minutes in total – as the team narrowly avoided division two relegation. In July he became a free agent, and signed a permanent contract with Nàstic. On 11 January 2013, Tuni signed for Iraklis 1908 Thessaloniki F.C. in Greece, joining several compatriots at the second division team.
Lars Øvrebø (born 15 July 1984) is a Norwegian football midfielder. He started his career at Vålerenga IF. He got one Norwegian Premier League game in 2002 and seven in 2004. He left after the 2004 season, and joined Drøbak/Frogn IF in the summer of 2005. In the latter part of the 2006 season he was loaned by Moss FK. After the 2006 season he signed a permanent contract.
He made seven league appearances and scored once until the end of the season, before signing a permanent contract with the club. In the following years, Zajić became one of the team's most important players, making 170 competitive appearances and scoring 37 goals. On 6 January 2014, Zajić signed a two-year contract with Sarpsborg 08. He was the club's top scorer in the following two seasons (2014 and 2015).
After leaving Asia, Cléo returned to his homeland and started training with his former club Atlético Paranaense in May 2014. He signed a permanent contract shortly after. On 29 May, Cléo made his second debut for the club in a 2–2 home draw with São Paulo. He stepped on the pitch in the 77th minute and managed to score little more than 10 minutes later with a volley kick.
On 31 August 2015, Šćepović joined Spanish club Getafe on a season long loan. Scepovic scored his first goal for Getafe a diving header in the 1–0 win over Málaga. On 28 June 2016, after suffering relegation, Šćepović signed a permanent contract with Geta. He helped the club in their immediate return to the top tier, notably scoring a brace against RCD Mallorca on 10 June 2017.

Kelly was originally cast in the long-time role of Joey Buchanan, a character that was returning to the show as a permanent contract role after six years. In the 2006–07 season Faye operated almost exclusively as a central defender following the departures of Bruno N'Gotty and Jaïdi to Birmingham City. Gary Lee Madine (born 24 August 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Blackpool. Madine began his career with Carlisle United, where he made his first team debut in 2007. He was sent out on loan in 2009, first with Rochdale and then Coventry City before joining Chesterfield in 2010 on loan. He signed a permanent contract with Sheffield Wednesday in January 2011 for an undisclosed fee.
Following his release by the Gunners, Howard was offered a permanent contract with Falkirk, but he instead decided to join Cardiff City. He provided backup as a second-choice keeper that season to Neil Alexander. He made his debut for The Bluebirds in a Football League Cup tie against Barnet After a month's loan with Swansea City, as cover in January 2007, he was released by Cardiff at the end of the 2006–07 season.

Lee Collins also joined on an extended loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, and would sign a permanent contract with the club in January. He appointed Stockley as his captain. The team continued to struggle, and on 18 September Sinnott admitted that "we are looking to improve, without a shadow of a doubt". However a 4–1 home defeat to Macclesfield Town two days later would prove to be Sinnott's last game in charge.
His first goal for Kettering came in stoppage time against Southport in a 3–1 home victory on 30 April 2011, having entered the match in the 89th minute. Challinor finished the season with 14 appearances and one goal for Kettering. He agreed to stay at Kettering ahead of 2011–12 on non-contract terms, in the belief that a permanent contract would later be agreed, and started the season playing as a defensive midfielder.
In March 2015, McLaren moved on loan to Junior club Bonnyrigg Rose until the end of the season. After two years with The Blue Toon, McLaren was released by the side at the end of the 2014–15 season. Following his release by Peterhead, McLaren signed a permanent contract with Bonnyrigg Rose in summer 2015. At the end of the 2015/16 season McLaren left Bonnyrigg Rose to join his hometown team Dunbar United F.C..

On 18 March 2005 Maylett joined Boston United initially on loan, when he made nine appearances, scoring three goals, before signing on a permanent contract on 1 June. On 2 March 2007 he joined Chester City on loan making five appearances and scoring one goal. He left Boston in 2007, following the club's double relegation from League Two to the Conference North.
In the summer of 2012 was Hvilsom loaned out to first division club Hobro IK. He was the club's top scorer in his first season with 11 goals. The performance was good that the clubs exchanged the loan for a permanent contract with Hobro IK, who was also moved up in the Super League. He scored 16 goals in the 2014-15 season and became the second top goalscorers in the league.

He spent the second half of the 2008–09 season on loan to Dundee United. Caddis was sold to English League One club Swindon Town in August 2010. He spent the 2012–13 season on loan to Birmingham City, and joined the club on a permanent contract in September 2013.
On 25 January 2016, Marinho signed a one-year loan deal with newly promoted Vitória. He made his debut for the club five days later, scoring in a 3–0 home win against Jacuipense. One of the club's key units during the first half of the campaign, Marinho signed a permanent contract with Vitória on 18 June 2016. On 6 November, he scored a brace in a 3–2 home win against Atlético Paranaense.
After struggling to earn a starting place with Burnley, Richards was sent on loan to Adeccoligaen club Bodø/Glimt on 4 April 2013. He played in 14 league games and scored 2 goals before his loan period ended, and he returned to his parent club. In July 2013 Richards signed a permanent contract to finish out the season. He helped the club in capturing the 2013 Adeccoligaen and gain promotion to the top flight.
Granger moved on to Darlington in December 1987, initially on loan until the end of the season, and signed a permanent contract in March 1988. He made 23 appearances for Darlington in the Fourth Division. In the second game of the 1988–89 season, he suffered a serious injury to his left knee which ended his League career. He underwent six operations over the next 20 months, but never regained full fitness.
Núñez returned to Honduras after leaving Mexico, where he re-joined the nation's most successful side in C.D. Olimpia where he scored 5 goals in 11 games for them. After his 6-month contract ended, Núñez wanted to try his luck in Europe after turning down offers to join Mexican Premier League clubs. After becoming a free agent, he left Olimpia to join Leeds initially on a trial basis before signing a permanent contract.
On 20 May 2013, after not making a single first-team appearance for Motherwell, Devlin was released by the club. Upon being released by Motherwell, he was quickly signed on a permanent contract by Stenhousemuir, who he had two previous loan spells with, for the 2013–14 season. At the end of the season, he was one of a number of players released by the club. In July 2014, Devlin signed for Ayr United.
He was confirmed Oldham Athletic's goalkeeping coach on a part-time basis on 30 June 2010. On 20 August he signed a pay as you play contract to provide cover for number one keeper Dean Brill. In July 2011 he was given a full-time permanent contract as goalkeeping coach. He left Oldham on 21 June 2013, with his former club claiming that he was moving to Doncaster Rovers, following former Oldham boss Paul Dickov.
After promotion straight back to the First Division in 1985–86 and in the face of competition from new £100,000 signing Bryan Gunn, Benstead began the 1986–87 season as Norwich City's first-choice goalkeeper, but a shoulder injury suffered in November 1986 effectively ended his Carrow Road career. After loan spells with Colchester United and Sheffield United, he joined the latter club on a permanent contract for a £35,000 fee in 1988.
Roberts signed a permanent contract with Buxton in June 2013; although his Worksop contract had expired, a development fee was payable because of his age. A month later, Roberts moved to FC Halifax Town, newly promoted to the Conference Premier. Roberts spent two seasons with the Shaymen before signing for League One club Barnsley in May 2015. He made his Football League debut on 8 August 2015 in a 3–1 defeat against Chesterfield.
On 1 July 2014, Rodinei signed for Ponte Preta on loan until the end of the year. He scored his first professional goal in only his second match for the club, in a 2–0 home defeat of Joinville for the Série B championship. Rodinei contributed with two goals in 22 appearances for the side during his first year, helping in their top tier promotion. On 11 December 2014, he agreed to a permanent contract with Ponte.
On 24 June 2014, Fajr passed his medical and completed the move to the La Liga side Elche. He made his debut in the category on 24 August, coming on as a substitute for Ferrán Corominas in a 0–3 away loss against FC Barcelona. On 6 August 2015 Fajr was loaned to fellow league team Deportivo de La Coruña, for one year. Ahead of the 2016–17 campaign, he signed a permanent contract with the club.
On 30 January 2018, Şahin- Radlinger joined Norwegian top-tier team SK Brann on loan for rest of the 2018 season. Brann were given an option to sign him permanently at the end of the loan; however, the club decided against pulling the option and Şahin-Radlinger returned to Hannover 96 at the end of the season. On 26 June 2019, English side Barnsley confirmed that Samuel had signed a permanent contract with Daniel Stendel's side.
He signed on loan for Swindon on 24 November 2000. Dryden's spell at the club hardly started well – he was credited with an own goal on his debut, during a 3–0 loss at home against Stoke City on 25 November. This was followed by two consecutive victories against Northampton Town and Rotherham United, but his final four appearances for Swindon all ended in defeat. On 2 February 2001, Dryden joined Luton Town on a permanent contract.
Tuimoala Lolohea (born 23 January 1995) is a professional rugby league footballer who plays as a for the Salford Red Devils in the Betfred Super League. He has played for both New Zealand and Tonga at international level. He is to spend the remainder of the 2019 Super League season on loan from the Leeds Rhinos, before taking up a permanent contract at Salford. Lolohea previously played for the New Zealand Warriors and the Wests Tigers in the NRL.
A third successive defeat came after losing 1–0 away to Cambridge. It was agreed that Brodie's loan at Barrow would be extended after he scored four goals in six appearances, but York decided to overturn this decision a day later. Barrow hoped to open talks over signing him on a permanent contract in January 2009. Walker was dismissed as manager, alongside head coach Eric Winstanley, with youth-team coach Neil Redfearn taking over as caretaker manager.
After his release by Cardiff, Parish joined Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen on trial with a view to a permanent contract. However, after one week training with Aberdeen, it was announced that Parish would not be offered a deal by the club. He then joined League One club Bristol City on trial on 11 July 2013. On 26 July, it was announced that Parish had signed a two-year deal with the club following his successful trial.

Purcell joined Tommy Dunne's League of Ireland side Cork City on a four-month loan in February 2012. He scored three goals in 16 Premier Division games during his stay at Turners Cross in the 2012 season. Although a permanent contract was offered Purcell decided to move back to the UK. He joined Port Vale on trial in July 2012.
Céliz went back to Arsenal for seven months prior to rejoining Gimnasia y Esgrima for a third time - this time on a permanent contract. His third stint lasted the 2016–17 Primera B Nacional, as he took his total tally for the club to ninety-two matches and fourteen goals. Peruvian Primera División side Juan Aurich signed Céliz in August 2017. He netted on his debut versus Cantolao, on the way to relegation to tier two.
Yakovlev has been working in the UN Secretariat since 1985. In 1993, Yakovlev signed a permanent contract with the UN as a private individual (without secondment by the Russian Federation). Yakovlev resigned June 23, 2005. On August 8, 2005, United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan waived the diplomatic immunity of Alexander Yakovlev upon a request from the U.S. Attorney's Office, and Yakovlev apparently had been taken into custody, said Mark Malloch Brown, Annan's chief of staff.
Rigby came through Rochdale's youth system, signing a one-year contract in 2007. He was loaned out to Conference North club Vauxhall Motors in January 2008. He made his debut in their 2–0 defeat away at Redditch United. After a successful loan period with Vauxhall, Rigby signed a permanent deal with the club at the end of the 2007–08 season, before being taken on trial by League One club Stockport County and eventually signing a permanent contract.
On 6 June, Goran Pandev, who was on loan with Napoli on the previous season, signed a permanent contract with them for a fee of €8 million, lasting until 2015. One day later, Palacio's transfer become official when he signed a three-year contract worth €2.7 million per season. Later on 29 June, Inter announced that Lúcio would be leaving Inter after it was agreed to cancel the final two years of his contract by mutual consent.
Hammond then scored his second goal for the club on 30 March 2016, in a 3–1 loss against Southend United. Hammond went on to make 34 appearances scoring twice for the side. During his time there, Hammond was considered by Manager Adkins as an 'unsung hero', due to his commitment at Sheffield United. On 20 May 2016, Hammond activated his option of a permanent contract with the club which had been inserted as part of his loan move.
Following these successes, on 30 October 2013 the Earthquakes announced that they had signed Watson to a permanent contract, thereby removing his interim status. After a disappointing season in which the Earthquakes failed to qualify for the playoffs, Watson was dismissed in late 2014. He was hired as an assistant coach at Orlando City Soccer Club for their inaugural Major League Soccer season on 10 November 2014. He was fired by Orlando City in July 2016.
Moving to Bury on a free transfer, Scott started at Bury on non-contract terms, debuting for the club on 22 August 2004 in the 1–1 draw against Chester City. Scott established himself as a regular in Bury's starting side towards the end of the 2004–05, after signing a permanent contract. Originally a centre-back, Scott can also play in midfield, but is most familiar with the right back position during his time at Bury.

He was loaned to Spartak Subotica in January 2010, before signing a permanent contract with the club in the summer of 2010. In January 2014, Stevanović moved to another Superliga club Novi Pazar. In the 2016 winter transfer window, Stevanović left Novi Pazar and moved to Bosnian Premier League club Željezničar.
James Grant Chester (born 23 January 1989) is a professional footballer who plays as a centre back for EFL Championship side Stoke City and the Wales national team. Chester began his career with Manchester United but made only one appearance for the club. He had spells on loan at Peterborough United, Plymouth Argyle and Carlisle United before joining Hull City in January 2011 on a permanent contract. He spent three-and-a-half years there before signing for West Bromwich Albion in 2015.
Hurst's Bury debut saw him hit two goals against Barnet in a 2–2 draw. After accumulating five goals in five league games, on 26 October 2006, the loan was extended until January 2007. An undisclosed transfer fee has been agreed for Hurst who, in the January 2007 transfer window, signed a permanent contract lasting until the end of 2007–08. note. On 18 May, it was announced that Glynn has been released by Bury at the end of his contract.
Groves joined Scunthorpe United on a one-month loan on 27 February 2004 following the appointment of Nicky Law at Grimsby. Whilst there he scored the 100th league goal of his career, scoring twice in a 3–1 win at York City. He was described as "inspirational" by Scunthorpe manager Brian Laws. He signed for Scunthorpe on a permanent contract until the end of the 2003–04 season on 30 March after reaching a settlement on the remainder of his Grimsby contract.
On 14 June they signed Noë Dussenne following the Belgian's contract expiring at Mons, he also signed a three-year contract. Two players left the squad from April to June, Thomas Goddeeris was the first player to exit. The versatile defender who can also play in midfield joined lower league side Torhout 1992 KM on a permanent contract after a successful loan spell at the club. Bram Verbist joined Dutch Eerste Divisie club Roda JC Kerkrade on a free transfer on 28 June.
United announced early in the transfer window that they had agreed a world record fee of £80 million to sell Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid. Shortly after this, they confirmed that Carlos Tevez, who had been on loan with the club for two seasons, had not taken up the offer of a permanent contract. He also added experienced defender Sam Stockley (Wycombe Wanderers); midfielder Anthony Griffith (Doncaster Rovers); and attacking midfielder Louis Dodds (Leicester City) to the squad. Lee Collins also joined on an extended loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, and would sign a permanent contract with the club in January.

Born in Belém, Pará, Mendes joined Santos' youth setup in 2016, from Inter de Limeira. On 18 August 2017, he signed his first professional contract until 2022, but was loaned to Atlético Mineiro in 2018, after appearing rarely. In December 2019, Galo activated the R$ 400,000 buyout clause on his contract, and Mendes signed a permanent contract with the club. The following 4 February, however, he joined Guarani on loan, but returned to his parent club in May after making no appearances.
Williams' contract at Newport County was terminated on 12 January 2018 by mutual consent.Williams leaves Newport The following day, he signed a permanent contract with Brackley Town. He managed to continue his goalscoring exploits with 6 goals in his first 7 league games back at the Northamptonshire side. Williams was part of the side that qualified for the Northamptonshire Senior Cup Final on 6 February 2018 with a 10–9 penalties victory over Peterborough Sports (the game ended 0–0 in normal time).
Captain Chris Smith signed for the club on a permanent contract. York started the New Year with a 3–0 victory away to Gateshead, with Jonathan Smith, Barrett and Constantine scoring in the second half. Chambers' loan at the club was extended until the end of the season. Boucaud signed a two-and-a-half-year contract for a £20,000 fee and Chris Smith signed a one- and-a-half-year contract to join the club permanently, while Lawless departed for Luton permanently.
On 1 September 2015, Jarvis signed on a season-long loan for Norwich City. Eleven days later, he scored his first goal for the club against AFC Bournemouth in a 3–1 win. On 24 December 2015, Jarvis signed a permanent contract with Norwich, to take effect in the January transfer window, for a reported fee of £2.5 million. Jarvis started 12 games for the Canaries in the 2015–16 season, coming off the bench as a substitute another eight times.
Holmqvist played for Uppåkra between the ages of 6 and 13, before joining Helsingborg in January 2002. While with Helsingborg he spent loan spells at GAIS and Falkenberg. GAIS had wanted to sign Holmqvist on a permanent contract, but he elected to remain at Helsingborg as it was his boyhood club. He dropped down a division to sign for Hammarby in 2010 on the advice of his agent, in order to make more first-team appearances, taking a pay cut in the process.
Dale began his career as a schoolboy with Dundee United before joining the Motherwell Academy youth set-up and then signing as a professional in 2012. On 25 February 2014, Shirkie made his debut for Motherwell as a substitute in a 3-0 defeat to St Johnstone. Shirkie played as a trialist for Ayr United on 9 August 2014, in a 1–0 win against Greenock Morton. Following this appearance, he signed a permanent contract with Ayr on 15 August 2014.
On 11 August 2016, Gallagher joined Championship side Blackburn Rovers on a season-long loan deal. He scored his first goal for Blackburn in a 2–2 draw with Burton Albion on 20 August. On 20 October, Blackburn's manager, Owen Coyle expressed his desire to sign Gallagher on a permanent contract, after he scored five goals from nine starting appearances. He finished the season with 12 goals from 47 appearances11 from 43 in the leagueas Blackburn were relegated to League One.
Pandiani, who had a successful loan stint at Mallorca while still at Depor, moved to Birmingham City in the Premier League, also on loan, in January 2005, after a series of run-ins with coach Javier Irureta. He scored a goal on his debut against Southampton in a 2–1 home win, and went on to score three more in the season, prompting manager Steve Bruce to sign him on a permanent contract for a reported fee of £3 million.
He graduated from the Institute of Physical Education (Kiev). He was called to the Ukrainian football national team in 1992 by Viktor Prokopenko, but has never played a single game. From the late 2003, until he was appointed as the interim coach of FC Chornomorets in late 2008, V. Hryshko worked as the administrative staff in the Odessa's club. Hryshko was given a permanent contract later that season, but was fired in August 2009 after a poor start to the following campaign.
On 19 April 2018, Sasha signed a permanent contract until 2022, with Zeca moving in the opposite direction. He started the 2019 campaign out of the first-team plans under new manager Jorge Sampaoli, but subsequently established himself as a regular. On 20 July 2020, Sasha filed a legal action against Santos, alleging unpaid wages, and was declared a free agent eleven days later; the following day, however, the judge himself revoked the decision after being deemed suspect to judge the case.
Evans re-joined Macclesfield Town for a second loan spell on 15 January 2018. He featured in 14 games as the club won promotion into the English Football League as champions of the National League at the end of the 2017–18 season. He was offered a permanent contract at Macclesfield by manager John Askey in May 2018. However he was used mainly as a squad player at Moss Rose by both Mark Yates and Sol Campbell in the 2018–19 campaign.
In "Long Way Down" Luc reveals it is his last day, and even though he was offered a permanent contract, for reasons unknown, he left without any warning. Ultimately, Walsall would be relegated on the last day of the season despite a 3-2 win over Rotherham United: an extra two goals scored during the campaign would have been enough for them to climb above Gillingham to safety. Despite the sorry end to the campaign, Paul Merson was handed a permanent contract as manager. Defender Paul Ritchie was named as the club's Player of the Season, but returned to Scotland to play for Dundee United at the end of the season.

Franz Betz was born in Mainz and trained as a singer in Karlsruhe. He made his debut in 1856 at the Court Theater of Hanover as The Herald in Wagner's Lohengrin, after which he sang as a guest performer in various other German opera houses. His 1859 success at the Berlin State Opera in the role of Don Carlo in Verdi's Ernani, led to a permanent contract with the company. He became one of Wagner's most trusted singers,Rosenthal and Warrack (1979) p.
He returned to the Premier League for the 2010–11 season signing on loan at Midlands club Stoke City. Following a successful loan spell, he signed a permanent contract at Stoke in December 2010. He played in the 2011 FA Cup Final, Stoke losing 1–0 to Manchester City, and also played in the UEFA Europa League the following season. Pennant fell out of favour with Tony Pulis in 2012–13 and spent time out on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
In July 2018, Sturgeon moved to another top-flight team, C.D. Feirense, on a three- year deal. In just his second game, he opened his account on 20 August with the only goal of a win over his former team at the Estádio D. Afonso Henriques. On 20 July 2019, Sturgeon was loaned to Xanthi F.C. of the Super League Greece with a buying option. In the summer of 2020, he signed a permanent contract with OFI Crete F.C. in the same country.
Born in Runcorn, Cheshire, Brown progressed through the Everton youth system, having joined the club at under-nines level. He was part of the team that reached the 2002 FA Youth Cup Final, which Everton lost 4–2 on aggregate to Aston Villa. After not making a senior appearance for the club he was released in 2004. He then joined Port Vale on trial in July 2004, under manager Martin Foyle, but was not signed to the club on a permanent contract.
Belgrano were Hechalar's first senior team, he made three appearances for the first-team after time in the youth system. His debut Belgrano appearance was on 7 August 2008 versus Unión Santa Fe, his second came over a month later against future club Atlético Tucumán. In 2009, Hechalar was loaned out twice, firstly to Juventud Antoniana of Torneo Argentino A and then to Guaraní of the Paraguayan Primera División. A year later, in July 2010, Hechalar rejoined Juventud Antoniana on a permanent contract.
Although he was reported by the local newspaper to have "bustled about with some purpose", Nelson were defeated 1–4 despite a goal from Scottish forward Buchanan Sharp. Roberts was not selected for Nelson again and played the remainder of the 1926–27 season with the reserve team. In May 1927 he had a trial with Cheshire County League side Ashton National, but he was not offered a permanent contract. The following month, he signed for fellow Cheshire League club Macclesfield.
On September 1, 2007 he signed a 2-year contract with Vejle Boldklub, after playing in the club as a youth player. He prolonged his Kolding deal in January 2010.
On 31 July 2019, Protsyshyn terminated his contract with Cuiavia Inowrocław. A serious injury prevented the defender from joining a new club, though FC Mynai of the Ukrainian First League allowed him to train with them during his rehabilitation period; with interest of a permanent contract. However, upon recovery, Protsyshyn rejoined Cuiavia Inowrocław and subsequently scored three goals in eleven total matches in 2019–20. He cut short his contract in December 2019, departing his second stay early by two months.
This followed news that Joe Dunne had offered a permanent contract to on-loan Chelsea goalkeeper Sam Walker. Colchester won 4–2 at Brunton Park against Carlisle United on 18 January to move back into the top-half of the League One table. Sanchez Watt scored a first-half brace, separated only by a Magnus Okuonghae own goal. Marcus Bean scored Colchester's third in the second half and Max Ehmer also scored an own goal to make it 4–1 to the U's.
He was offered a permanent contract with York at the end of the season after making eight appearances on loan. He finished 2007–08 with 46 appearances for York. Purkiss playing for York City in 2008 Purkiss played in the 2009 FA Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium on 9 May 2009, which York lost 2–0 to Stevenage Borough. He finished 2008–09 with 47 appearances and two goals for York and was offered a new contract by the club.
Nicholl started his career as a junior player at Manchester United. His senior career started in 1974. He helped the club win the 1977 FA Cup Final and collected a runners- up medal in 1979. In 1981, he left the club after scoring five goals, joining Sunderland on a permanent contract after a loan spell, and playing 32 games in one season before moving to Toronto Blizzard in Canada, scoring 11 goals in 77 games over the next two years before signing for Rangers.
In the summer of 2006, Pavlović signed a permanent contract with Napredak, before the club got promoted to the Serbian SuperLiga in 2007. He was one of the most important players for the team in the following seasons. In the summer of 2010, Pavlović moved abroad for the first time by signing with Hungarian club Debrecen. He made two cup appearances for the first team, but also played for their reserve team in the Nemzeti Bajnokság II, before being released near the end of the year.
On 13 July of the following year, he signed a permanent contract with La Liga side Getafe CF, but was loaned to CD Lugo in Segunda División on 6 August. Lazo made his professional debut on 26 August 2018, replacing Iriome and scoring the equalizer in a 1–1 away draw against Granada CF. The following 20 August, he joined UD Almería still in the second division, also in a temporary deal. On 8 May 2020, Lazo agreed to a permanent four-year-contract with the Rojiblancos.
Paul Jewell took over, initially on a temporary basis, before he was given a permanent contract. He bought the club's first £1 million signings and guided the club to the Premier League—the first time they had been in the top flight for 77 years—with a second-place finish. The following season, Jewell continued to defy the critics, who labelled his team Dad's Army, by avoiding relegation again on the last day with a 1–0 victory over Liverpool, with a goal from David Wetherall.
Sonck's time with Borussia Mönchengladbach of the German Bundesliga was hampered by injuries. Mönchengladbach signed him on a permanent contract, a deal initially arranged already at the start of his loan. In the summer of 2005, Sonck had three of his ribs broken after a horrific tackle by Wilfred Bouma in a goalless, meaningless friendly between Borussia Mönchengladbach and PSV Eindhoven. Sonck took six months to recover, marking his return to competitive football with a goal in a 3–1 defeat by Bayern Munich.
Du Preez first played for Munster in late 2009, after he was signed on a three-month loan as injury cover for Marcus Horan. He impressed during his short time there and, in May 2010, it was announced that Du Preez was returning to Munster after signing a two-year permanent contract. He has since become an integral member of the Munster team. He scored his first try for Munster in their Heineken Cup Round 5 clash with Castres Olympique on 14 January 2012.
Peter Shreeves remained at Sheffield Wednesday for the 2000–01 season as assistant to their new manager Paul Jewell. But Jewell was unable to mount a promotion challenge and he was sacked the following February with the Owls hovering just above the Division One relegation zone. Shreeves was given a permanent contract to take charge of the first team and he guided them to a 17th-place finish. After another bad start in 2001–02, he handed the reins over to assistant Terry Yorath.
Dennis won the Scottish First Division championship in 1998–99 and played in 64 games for Hibernian before returning to Raith on loan for three months in September 2000. He signed a permanent contract at Raith in the summer of 2001, staying for three years, winning the Second Division title in the process. Dennis signed for Brechin City in 2004, but returned to Raith again in October, before retiring due to a recurring knee injury. In total, Dennis played in over 400 games for Raith.
Murray Wrensted (born 26 August 1964) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the West Coast Eagles and Collingwood in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Wrensted started his career with Geradlton Railways before being recruited by West Australian Football League club East Fremantle (whose country zone he was in) for the first six matches of 1983. Sylvain Distin (born 16 December 1977) is a French former professional footballer. He is left-footed and played as a central defender, and was also capable of playing at left-back. Distin began his career playing for French amateur sides in the CFA, and worked his way up to professional sides Gueugnon and subsequently Paris Saint-Germain. He moved to England in 2001, first joining Newcastle United on a loan move from PSG, before signing a permanent contract with Manchester City, where he spent five seasons.
Alex Charles Henshall (born 15 February 1994) is an English footballer who plays as a winger for Southern League club Swindon Supermarine. Henshall began his football career with hometown club Swindon Town before joining Manchester City as a 16-year-old. He spent spells on loan with Chesterfield, for whom he made his Football League debut, Bristol Rovers and Ipswich Town before signing a permanent contract with the latter in 2014. A loan to Blackpool preceded a couple of months with Scottish Premiership club Kilmarnock in 2016.
On 1 September 2014, Nouble signed for League One club Coventry City on a short- term loan from Ipswich until January 2015. He made his debut and scored his first goal for Coventry against Gillingham on 5 September 2014, a game which Coventry won 1–0. On 7 January 2015 Nouble was released from his contract by Ipswich Town and signed a 6-month permanent contract with Coventry City two days later. He was released by Coventry at the end of the 2014–15 season.
Rangers offered Zaliukus a contract, but he rejected the contract offer from Rangers to pursue other options. After turning down a deal at Rangers, Žaliūkas joined Queens Park Rangers (QPR) on trial in the hope of earning a permanent contract, after impressing on trial Harry Redknapp confirmed that Žaliūkas would be an option to sign permanently, however with QPR still making a decision on a contract offer, Žaliūkas joined Leeds United on trial and QPR instead signed Oguchi Onyewu after losing out on Žaliūkas.
In June 2007, Kadir went on trial with Ligue 2 side Amiens. In July 2009, he started training with Valenciennes of Ligue 1 and two weeks later signed a two-year contract with the club. On 2 January 2013, Kadir moved to Olympique de Marseille for a transfer fee €500,000, signing a three-and-a-half-year contract with the club. He was subsequently loaned to Rennes and Real Betis, signing an obligatory permanent contract with the latter after its promotion to La Liga.
Although he wished to stay with the club, Preston recalled him and Kilmarnock did not have sufficient funds to buy the player. However, when Skora was freed from his Preston contract in January 2006, Kilmarnock signed him on a permanent contract. An injury picked up in a reserve team match against Inverness CT hampered his second spell at the club. His only appearance in this second spell was as a late substitute in a 3-1 victory against Heart of Midlothian in October 2007.
He was released by Crewe at the end of the 2011/12 season, subsequently rejoining Nantwich Town on a permanent contract. He started the 2013–2014 season with AFC Fylde who had gained promotion from the Northern Evostik Premiership. The club was in the English Conference North for seasons 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 where Hughes established himself as a right-back. Hughes later rejoined Nantwich, and played in the side defeated by Fylde in the first round of the F.A. Cup in November 2019.
Wyness began his career at Aberdeen, where he originally played as a midfielder. He was used sparingly as a squad player by several managers, until Ebbe Skovdahl allowed him to go on loan to Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 1999, where he played as a midfielder, then as a striker. Wyness signed a permanent contract for Caley Thistle in January 2000. However, during his first twelve months at the club he struggled to make an impact, and was eventually transfer-listed by then- manager Steve Paterson.

On 25 August 2012 Malbranque signed a one-year contract with Lyon after spending three weeks with the club. In his first game after returning to Lyon, Malbranque played a superb game against Valenciennes being paired with Maxime Gonalons in midfield and helped his team win the game 3–2.
Immediately after the 1750 death of the Danish merchant, Andreas Bjørn, Classen became involved in the annual delivery of munitions to the Berbers in Algiers. He began by delivering 8,000 cannonballs, followed by gunpowder (500 centner), rope and timber, soon receiving a permanent contract to provide the delivery annually. His international trading ties developed through his connection with the former Spanish ambassador in Copenhagen, Marqués de Puente Fuerte. The work brought him into contact with a variety of industrialists, inciting him to become a businessman himself.
On 5 August 2015, Sáiz joined SD Huesca from Segunda División in a season-long move. He scored his first professional goal 17 days later, but in a 2–3 home defeat to Deportivo Alavés; he netted a further two times in his first year, from 30 overall appearances. In late March 2016, Sáiz signed a permanent contract with the Aragonese club until June 2018. In the following campaign he scored a career-best 12 goals, as his team was ousted in the promotion play-offs.
Due to a ban on foreign players playing in the Russian Second Division, Tonga missed the entire 2000 season. Jerry-Christian Tchuissé, with whom Tonga lived with as a student in Krasnodar, invited Tonga to play in an Inter-University Championship for Cameroon, which they won. In 2001, FC Kuban Krasnodar manager Oleg Dolmatov invited to Tonga for a trial, which lead to a permanent contract with the club. Tonga scored his only goal for Kuban in a match against Spartak Nalchik in 2002.
The Labour Standards Act of 1947 article 14 states a fixed- term contract's maximum duration is three years, but there is no limit on renewals or any reason required. Case law suggests renewals are possible. However, since 2013, a fixed-term contract would convert into a permanent contract after five years if the employee submits a request, unless renewal could be regarded as socially acceptable. Until the Worker Dispatching Act of 1986, agency work was strictly controlled and limited to a number of sectors.

Rhoys Barrie Wiggins (born 4 November 1987) is a former footballer who played as a left back. Wiggins began his career at Crystal Palace, from where he had his first spell on loan to AFC Bournemouth. After just one first-team appearance for Palace, he signed for Norwich City, but soon found himself again on loan at Bournemouth, for whom he signed a permanent contract in 2010. A season later, he joined Charlton Athletic, where he spent four years of regular first-team football.
Fernando Bob was born in Cabo Frio, Rio de Janeiro, and was a Fluminense youth graduate. He made his first team – and Série A – debut on 23 August 2006, starting in a 3–0 away loss against Palmeiras. After loans at Paulista, Boavista and Avaí, Fernando Bob returned to Flu for the 2010 campaign and contributed sparingly as his side lifted the league title. Subsequent loans at Atlético Goianiense, Vitória and Ponte Preta followed, and he signed a permanent contract with the latter on 2 January 2015.
Leslie Parry, Ph.D. (born 27 November 1957) is an English physiotherapist and former manager of Tranmere Rovers Football Club from 9 October 2009 until his dismissal on 4 March 2012. Parry worked with Tranmere Rovers as physiotherapist since 1991 before succeeding John Barnes in the managerial position at Tranmere. He kept his former job during his first season as manager. Having only recruited on caretaker basis, he guided the club to five wins and three draws, earning him a permanent contract on 16 December 2009.
On 2 June 2016, Verma signed a permanent contract to remain with Torquay United for 2016–17 season. It didn't take long for Verma to show his worth, after impressive displays in the engine room of the side, he showed much versatility as he moved to right-back towards the end of the season and performed admirably, he also performed well in his natural position as a midfielder and as a striker. Player-manager Kevin Nicholson was happy to have Verma at the club on a permanent deal.

The loan was later extended to the remainder of the season and, following a successful period at the county, Gidman signed a permanent contract with Kent in October 2016 having been released by Nottinghamshire after playing in eight matches for the county in his two years with them.
Ahead of the 2011–12 season, Gunning was linked with a return to Motherwell and a move to Aberdeen, both as loan deals. He then went on trial at Scunthorpe United. After playing in a friendly match against Rotherham United, manager Alan Knill said he was satisfied with Gunning's performance, but thought that he, along with other players on trial with the club, needed to do more to get a contract. After playing for Scunthorpe in another friendly, Knill said he was hoping to get Gunning signed on a permanent contract.
Arvidsson started out his career at his hometown club Götene IF before he was signed by IF Elfsborg as a 15-year-old youth player in 2000. Five years later he was promoted to the first team but was unable to make a big impact. Instead he was sent out on several loan spells to second tier club Åtvidabergs FF where he became an important part of their effort to reestablish themselves in Allsvenskan. At the start of 2011 he left Elfsborg and signed a permanent contract with Åtvidaberg.
Workforce casualisation is the process in which employment shifts from a preponderance of full-time and permanent positions to casual and contract positions. In Australia, 35% of all workers are casual or contract employees who are not paid for sick leave or annual leave. In the United Kingdom, 53% of academics teaching or doing research in British universities manage on some form of insecure, non-permanent contract, ranging from short-term contracts that typically elapse within nine months, to those paid by the hour to give classes or mark essays and exams.
Reid's managerial career began on 7 November 1990 at Manchester City, when he was appointed caretaker manager after the departure of Howard Kendall back to Everton. Reid was appointed player-manager on a permanent contract on 15 November. In 1990–91, Manchester City finished fifth (one place above neighbours Manchester United) and equalled this achievement the following season. In the first season of the Premier League (1992–93), City slipped into ninth place with an increasingly stale brand of 'long ball' football and Reid was sacked after a poor start to the following season.
He returned to York at the end of the season after making 17 appearances on loan at Cambridge, and manager Martin Ling said Russell would be offered a permanent contract by the club if he was to be released by York. Russell started 2010–11 in fine form for Cambridge, scoring his first goal in the 2–2 home draw against Crawley on 17 August and adding four more to lead the club's goalscoring charts in November.
Adam Smith rejoined York from Gainsborough on a permanent contract for an undisclosed fee. His return came as a substitute in York's 1–1 draw away to Altrincham, in which Brodie scored the equalising goal after Shaun Densmore put the home team in the lead. Farrell was loaned out to Oxford for the remainder of the season, as he sought more game time. York drew 1–1 away with Kidderminster in the FA Trophy third round, in which Boyes scored his first goal for York, meaning a replay was to be played.
Bruno Manoel Marinho (born 5 July 1984) is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Åtvidabergs FF as a midfielder. He first came to Sweden in 2008 after having previously belonged to Guarani FC and Santos FC in Brazil. In Sweden he started out playing for FC Norrköping in the lower divisions of Swedish football but was quickly discovered by Superettan club Åtvidabergs FF who brought him over on loan. After only a few months he had impressed the club enough for them to sign him on a permanent contract.
His spell at Ayresome Park lasted just five games as manager Lennie Lawrence could not afford to offer him a permanent contract. The "Blades" were relegated at the end of the 1993–94 campaign after slipping into the relegation zone on the final day of the season after a defeat by Chelsea. Kamara signed with Bradford City in summer 1994 after being offered a playing-coaching role by manager Lennie Lawrence. The "Bantams" struggled in the 1994–95 season, though Kamara was promoted to assistant manager in April 1995.
After being a regular starter during the 2017 Campeonato Paulista, Lobão signed a permanent contract with Santos and was loaned to CSA in the Série C, until December. After achieving promotion to the second division as champions, his loan was extended for a further season, but was cut short on 9 May 2018 after he was rarely used. On 17 November 2018, Lobão joined Bangu also in a temporary deal, for the 2019 Campeonato Carioca. On 3 January 2020, he signed a permanent one-year deal with Bangu after his contract with Santos expired.
He subsequently signed for League Two side Lincoln City on a one-year contract on 27 June 2007, but was loaned out to Conference Premier side Farsley Celtic on 20 November until 7 January 2008. He was released by Lincoln on this date and joined Farsley on a permanent contract. He later joined the backroom staff at the club. He found himself consigned to the bench at the start of the 2008–09 season and, after making just two substitute appearances, moved on to North Ferriby United of the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
André Miguel Valente da Silva (; born 6 November 1995) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a striker for club Eintracht Frankfurt and the Portugal national team. An academy graduate of Porto, he impressed during his time with the reserve side before making his debut with the first team in 2015. He ultimately made over 50 appearances for the club, scoring 24 goals before joining Milan in 2017. He went on to represent Sevilla and Eintracht Frankfurt on loan, signing a permanent contract with the latter in 2020.
On 14 January 2016, Parry joined National League club Barrow on a one-month loan deal. After making two appearances for Barrow, Luton came to a mutual agreement with Parry to cancel his contract, allowing him to sign a permanent contract with Barrow until the end of the 2015–16 season. Parry went on to make 18 appearances for the club in all competitions. At the end of the season, Parry signed a new one-year contract with Barrow, including the option of a one-year extension dependent on appearances.
Peter Iain Ramage (born 22 November 1983) is an English former footballer who played as a defender and is currently the assistant coach of the Newcastle United F.C U-23. Ramage began his career with Newcastle United as an academy player before progressing to the first team. In the summer of 2008, he moved to London side Queens Park Rangers, thus ending his twelve-year association with Newcastle United. In 2011–12, Ramage spent time on loan at Championship clubs Crystal Palace and Birmingham City before joining Crystal Palace on a permanent contract in 2012.
On 30 July 2012, Doumbia initially joined English side Wolverhampton Wanderers on a planned season-long loan deal, with view to a permanent move. On 13 November 2012, Wolves announced that Doumbia had signed a permanent contract to keep him at the club until summer 2016. He made 35 appearances in total during the season as the club ended up becoming relegated to League One. After this relegation, new Wolves manager Kenny Jackett stated that Doumbia was not likely to feature in his plans for the new season.

A Liberty Professionals youth graduate, Attipoe made his first team debut on 28 March 2018, playing the last 20 minutes in a 2–0 away loss against International Allies. On 6 September, after playing in all matches for the club during the campaign, he was loaned to Spanish club Extremadura UD and was initially assigned to the youth setup. Attipoe made his debut abroad on 23 February 2019, starting with the reserves in a 3–1 away win against CD Valdelacalzada. On 24 May, he signed a permanent contract with the club.
It was announced that first team prop forward James Davies left the club to sign for rugby union side Huddersfield RUFC. Recruitment for the new season started as on loan prop forward Callum Bustin signed a permanent contract with the Bulls until the end of 2019. Bradford brought some experience into the squad with the signing of veteran Super League centre Jake Webster from Castleford Tigers on a 2 Year Deal. Prop James Green who was on loan from Castleford Tigers signed a 1 Year Deal with the Bulls after a successful loan spell.
Despite being knocked unconscious during his first appearance, three days later he signed a permanent contract until the end of the 2005–06 season, at which point he was offered another deal but preferred to join Grays Athletic. Grays loaned him out to Conference South sides Braintree and Bishop's Stortford before releasing him at the end of the 2006–07 season when he joined King's Lynn. In January 2009, he left the club by mutual consent and signed for Corby Town, with whom he won promotion to the Conference North in 2009.
After Stewart left the club to join Gençlerbirliği, Žaliūkas was appointed club captain by new manager Jim Jefferies. Soon afterwards, however, Žaliūkas' future at Hearts was put in doubt due to failed contract negotiations, which resulted in him being left out of the team. However, he later signed a permanent contract, ending his previous loan agreement from Kaunas, with which he cemented his place as captain of Hearts. Towards the end of the 2010–11 season he was once again left out of the team on the orders of club owner Vladimir Romanov.
The deal was made permanent in July 2010, and later that month Lewis went on trial with Swedish club Djurgården. In January 2011, Lewis moved on loan to Kaizer Chiefs, following a bust-up with Ajax Cape Town manager Foppe de Haan, and Lewis has publicly announced that he would like to turn the loan deal into a permanent contract. Rather than remaining with Kaizer Chiefs, Lewis signed a two-year deal with AmaZulu. Lewis moved to Golden Arrows on 13 June 2012, signing a two-year deal, before moving to Chippa United in 2013.
Since returning from injury, the Komets had decided not to offer him a permanent contract, instead signing him to consecutive 25 game PTO contracts. Unhappy with this situation, Richison signed for the Orlando Solar Bears midway through the season. He played two games with the Solar Bears before breaking a bone in his hand; despite this setback, the team offered him a full-time contract and he finished the season in Orlando. The team made it to the playoff semi-finals, ultimately losing them to the Detroit Vipers.
With injuries mounting up, Grady brought in Alan Reid and David van Zanten in on trial. Both players made their débuts on 7 November, against Partick Thistle, this was however Reid's THIRD début for the club having played two games on trial the previous season and having a spell on loan in 2001. On 10 November, it was revealed in the Greenock Telegraph that van Zanten had signed on a permanent contract until January 2010. Alan Reid was signed on a permanent basis on 27 November, following the release of Ryan Harding by mutual consent.
Roos began his career at amateur Dutch clubs VV Toxandria, VV Trekvogels, Juliana '31 and Quick 1888, before moving to PSV Eindhoven in 2005. After six years at the PSV Academy he moved to Willem II, where injuries hampered his progress, before moving to N.E.C. in 2012. At the start of the 2013–14 season, Roos had a trial at English Championship club Birmingham City and then at League One side Bristol City. He competed with Elliot Parish for the chance to win a permanent contract, with manager Sean O'Driscoll then signing Parish permanently.
In 2013, in recognition of her distinguished acting career, the Ministry of Culture awarded her the Medalha Cavaleiro (Knight's Medal). Barbara is also under permanent contract to TV Globo and has played in many of their soap operas and mini-series. She is the presenter of the Canal Brasil programme 'A Arte do Encontro' (The Art of the Interview) in which she converses with well-known figures in Brazilian culture. She has performed in various feature length and short films, including Hector Babenco's final film 'My Hindu Friend' in which she played opposite Willem Dafoe.
Burnley striker Marvin Sordell on a free transfer on 10 September. With the transfer window closing on 1 September, Tony Humes made no further signings, but did tie down promising triallist goalkeeper Dillon Barnes to a permanent contract. However, following Barnes' arrival, Chris Lewington was allowed to leave the club by mutual consent on 3 September after making only two appearances for the club. On 10 September, Colchester brought in forward Marvin Sordell on a contract until the end of the season after his release from Burnley earlier in the month.
He netted twice for Morón, both came in a fixture with Instituto in November 2018, across nineteen appearances. Mendieta had a third loan spell away from Lanús in 2019–20, joining Atlético de Rafaela for twelve months in July 2019. One goal in eighteen matches followed, in a campaign that was curtailed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Mendieta's contract with Lanús expired on 30 June 2020, with the midfielder subsequently revealing that a potential move to South African Premier Division side Stellenbosch was being finalized; amid interest from Rafaela for a permanent contract.
Initially the HSĽS government debated as to whether all Czechs or just government employees should be expelled from the country. Persecution of the Czechs was also supported by other Slovak parties, including the Slovak National Party and the Agrarian Party. On 10 December 1938, the autonomous Slovak government signed an agreement with the Czechoslovak government for the transfer of 9,000 Czech civil servants—mostly those without a permanent contract—out of Slovakia. After the independence of Slovakia in March 1939, the government ignored the agreement and fired all Czech civil servants, except those deemed indispensable.

In September 2010 the Kazakhstani moved to Serbian side FMP Belgrade following the expiry of his Tigers contract, reportedly signing a multi-year deal. He averaged only 5.7 minutes (0.8 points and 1.4 rebounds) in 9 games for FMP, leading to a mutual separation with the Serbians. He then joined second division Russian Basketball Super League side Spartak Primorje in early 2011, first on trial then on a permanent contract in February.
In July 2005, Nardiello signed a two-year permanent contract with Barnsley after being released by Manchester United. He scored two vital goals in Barnsley's League One play-off games. The first was the winning goal against Huddersfield Town in the second leg of the play-off semi-finals on 15 May 2006. The second was the equaliser that forced a penalty shoot-out at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff against the club where he had previously been on loan, Swansea City, which Barnsley won 4–3 on 27 May 2006.
The episodes "Unsafe Haven (Part 1 & 2)" were focused on the beginning of their relationship, brought about by Luc allowing Eddi to see a more sensitive side of him when he blames himself for the death of a friend, the security guard, and the outbreak of Legionnaires. In "Long Way Down", Eddi and Luc are shown as finally being in a relationship. Luc is offered a permanent contract, and plans to take the contract. However, the end of the episode shows that Luc has left, with no explanation.
Tiatto commenced his senior career with Bulleen in the Victorian Premier League (VPL), eventually impressing enough to secure a move to the National Soccer League with Melbourne Knights. There he signalled his ability as a dashing left winger, helping the Knights in their golden era as they claimed back-to-back championships. In 1996, he joined Salernitana of the Italian Serie B on a temporary basis, but did not earn a permanent contract. A spell at Swiss club Baden followed, before Tiatto moved to the English club Stoke City on loan on 25 November 1997.
He was loaned out to CSKA Sofia for a second time on 2 August 2011, for a year, and was first choice for the team, but was then recalled by the Russian club. During the summer of 2012, M'Bolhi briefly returned to CSKA Sofia with the intention of signing a permanent contract with the team. However, he was deemed surplus to the requirements by the manager following the team's elimination from the UEFA Europa League by Slovenian club Mura 05 in late July 2012 (despite the Algerian not participating in these matches).
Taylor signed for Birmingham City in August 2003, initially on a year-long loan deal with the possibility of a permanent contract. Manager Steve Bruce made the contract permanent in March 2004 for a £1.5 million fee. Taylor continued his impressive form and was rewarded by being nominated as the goalkeeper for the Premiership team of the 2003–04 season. Taylor was replaced as Birmingham's first choice goalkeeper in February 2007 by Colin Doyle, but regained his place after the first three matches of the 2007–08 Premier League season.
Platt was then sent out on loan again to Lincoln City and when he returned to Cambridge in January 2012 he had his contract terminated and subsequently signed an 18-month permanent contract at Sincil Bank with Lincoln. On 21 February 2012 he suffered a broken tibia following a 50/50 challenge with James Chambers in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Doncaster Rovers. The injury would keep him out of action for almost a year, with Platt describing the recovery as a mental process as well as a physical one.
The same season saw him have a spell on trial with Chelsea, spending a month there on trial playing in reserve games. The trial did not lead to a permanent contract and Curle played for Bradford Park Avenue until he followed Keith to Chester in time for the 2005-06 season. Once again Curle's appearances were limited and just two substitute league appearances and another Football League Trophy outing followed. He remained at the club after Keith left in February 2006, but the following month he was released.
In November 1995, he was loaned to Sheffield United, and a month later he signed a permanent contract after the two clubs agreed a £500,000 fee. At Bramall Lane, White showed flashes of his old self, that had made him a star at Manchester City a few years before, but he was still bothered by injuries. He continued to suffer problems with his arthritic right ankle, making his final appearance in a League Cup match against Wrexham in 1997, before having to admit defeat and retire from the game.
Because no regular member of the cast of Crossroads had a permanent contract, she had plenty of time to pursue other roles, and played the minor role of Monica Downes in the BBC Radio 4 soap opera The Archers. She was, however, an integral part of Crossroads. When she became pregnant, the show's producer, Reg Watson, ordered the scriptwriters to include the pregnancy in the storyline. When Rossington miscarried, Watson asked her if she would mind if the pregnancy storyline went ahead, as they had had such a positive response from the audience.
However, despite the player securing a permanent contract with the club, Baldry became injured during a training session and was out of action for almost 5 weeks. He did not return until 18 March 2004 when Notts County took on Wycombe Wanderers in the old Division Two. Baldry made a total of 41 appearances in all competitions for Notts County. His last game for the club came when they played Oldham Athletic in the final match of the 2003–04 season, a 1–1 draw on 8 May 2004.
Having failed to establish himself in the York team under manager Colin Walker, Turnbull rejoined Gateshead on a one- month loan in February 2008 and made his debut against Witton Albion. He agreed a permanent contract with Gateshead on 11 March 2008 after he was released by York. He scored his first career goal on 1 April 2008 in Gateshead's 2–0 win over Prescot Cables at Valerie Park. Turnbull finished the season with 18 appearances and 1 goal for Gateshead as they achieved promotion to the Conference North via the play-offs.
With the return of Ben Smith, his first team opportunities were limited and he was loaned to Conference National team Kidderminster Harriers in March 2007 for the remainder of the 2006–07 season. However, he picked up a groin injury in his first game, which ended his season prematurely. He was released at the end of the season and subsequently signed for Kidderminster on a permanent contract. He made 42 league and cup appearances for Kidderminster in the 2007–08 season and signed a new one-year contract in May 2008.
Guttridge lost his place in the Southend first-team following their promotion and subsequently joined Leyton Orient on loan until 1 January 2007. He scored his first and what turned out to be only goal for the club in a 3–1 away win over Nottingham Forest on 16 December 2006. On 30 January 2007, Guttridge left Southend to sign a permanent contract at Leyton Orient for an undisclosed fee until the end of the 2006–07 season. After rejecting a new contract offer from Leyton Orient, he left the club in May 2007.
He spent time on loan at fellow Conference club Northwich Victoria, and after Carlisle won promotion back to the Football League, he was released. He then joined Northwich on a permanent contract, and helped them win the 2005–06 Conference North title and reach the semi-final of the 2006–07 FA Trophy. Transfer-listed in July 2007, he was expected to join Droylsden but instead signed for Stalybridge Celtic. He moved on to Altrincham before the end of the season, and then joined FC United of Manchester.
Carroll made a move into league football to return home to London and join Third Division club Brentford on non-contract terms in September 1986. He made 26 appearances and scored five goals during the 1986–87 season and signed a permanent contract. Carroll was out of favour during the 1987–88 season, though he managed to score five goals in 16 appearances up front. He rejected a monthly contract and departed at the end of the campaign, having made 42 appearances and scored 10 goals during less than two years at Griffin Park.
Anderlecht's first summer signing was Brazilian Wigor Alan do Nascimento who was signed from Brazilian club Capivariano after a successful trial. The club also signed goalkeeper Mulopo Kudimbana on a permanent contract in June, with the Congolese international joining from Oostende. Samuel Armenteros, Michaël Heylen, Mehdi Tarfi and Fede Vico all returned from their loan spells at Feyenoord, Kortrijk, Zulte Waregem and Oostende respectively while Demy de Zeeuw left in the opposite direction following the completion of his loan spell from Spartak Moscow. Numerous outgoings were completed also.
He was signed by Martin Foyle's Port Vale on a one-month loan in March 2004. The next month James was signed by Vale on a two-year permanent contract; as the previous loan deal was agreed before the transfer deadline, the deal could be made permanent. He made a total of 33 appearances for the club in his first full season at the club. In his second season at Vale Park he made a total of 42 appearances, but was released by the club at the end of his contract.
Despite this, he impressed during loan spells with non-League sides Maidstone United and Bishop's Stortford. He signed a new one-year contract with Gillingham ahead of the 2011–12 season, during which he made his first team debut as a substitute in an FA Cup first round replay against Bournemouth in November 2011. Rance was loaned out to Conference South side Dover Athletic on a one-month loan on 2 March 2012. He was released by Gillingham in May 2012 and signed a permanent contract with Dover.
In late 2017 the governors announced their appointment of Mrs Ionwen Spowage, former Head Teacher of Builth Wells High School to be that of Ysgol Calon Cymru, commencing inceptive work in January 2018. The full leadership team was agreed and announced shortly thereafter. At the beginning of 2019, the original headteacher announced that she was to become Head of Ysgol Bro Dinefwr in Carmarthenshire with effect from Easter. Governors selected Mr Steve Pattern and Mr Lee Powell as the acting Heads pending their formal decision of the permanent-contract replacement.
On 17 December 2016, Jorginho scored a hat-trick in a 4–1 away triumph over Moreirense FC. In the following transfer window he was transferred to AS Saint-Étienne of the French Ligue 1, who loaned him six months later to G.D. Chaves in a season-long move after acquiring him on a permanent basis. On 19 June 2018, Jorginho signed with Bulgarian club PFC CSKA Sofia on loan until the end of the campaign. One year later, he agreed to a permanent contract at PFC Ludogorets Razgrad of the same country.
Between October 1948 and April 1949 he was provisionally placed on the payroll as university archivist even though this was contrary to the vote of the university's governing council. In June 1949 was appointed to succeed him and made a start on retrieving the records. However, despite his subsequent distinguished career, in 1949, aged not quite 22, Blaschke had not yet attended the necessary archivists' course at Potsdam. It was not till 1950 that the final decision was taken to reject attempts to provide Franke with a permanent contract.
McCann was listed as a trialist in Clyde's third Scottish First Division match of the 2006–07 season, against Dundee, and was signed on a permanent contract a week later. In July 2007, McCann turned down a new contract at Clyde in favour of signing with Irish side Bohemians and scored his first goal for Bohs in a 1–1 draw with Drogheda United in August 2007. In November 2007, McCann finished his short spell at Bohemians a finalist in the FAI League cup and qualification for Europe.
A number of players on this list had more than one spell with United, but only Jon Harley signed for the Blades on three separate occasions (twice on loan and once on a permanent contract), becoming one of only two players to achieve this feat in the club's history. There are also a number of players on this list whose entire time with United was spent on loan; Mark Bunn, Conor Coady, Greg Halford, and Nyron Nosworthy. The most prolific scorer to appear on this list is striker Bert Menlove who scored 43 times in his 81 appearances between 1922 and 1926.
Born in Portsmouth, he has spent a number of periods with teams from Hampshire and Dorset, having begun his career with non-league Fareham Town in 1983. After failing to gain a permanent contract at local league club A.F.C. Bournemouth, Claridge spent three years at Weymouth, in his longest single spell with any club. From 1988 till 1996 Claridge played for a number of Football League teams, before moving to Leicester City with whom he played in the Premier League and won the 1997 Football League Cup. In 1998, he moved to Portsmouth, where he was also player manager from 2000 to 2001.
In March 2010, Ayling joined League One club Yeovil Town on loan for an initial month, and on 2 April 2010, made his professional debut as a second- half substitute in a 0–0 draw away at Southend United. Ayling's loan was extended until the end of the season, Ayling played four matches in total, including his first league start in the final match of the season against Brighton & Hove Albion, on 8 May 2010. On 30 June 2010, Ayling agreed a permanent contract with Yeovil. He made his debut in a 2–1 victory over Leyton Orient.
After he produced "a string of impressive performances", the loan was first extended until 2 January 2010, and then for the rest of the season. In April, he injured his ankle, with recovery time expected to be from six to eight weeks. In April 2010, Burton offered Krysiak a permanent contract, while Birmingham announced that he would be released when his contract expired at the end of June 2010. Krysiak agreed to sign for League One club Exeter City when his Birmingham contract expired on 1 July. Krysiak made his Exeter league debut against Brighton in November 2010.
The Folkwang Kammerorchester Essen is a chamber orchestra historically formed mostly by students of the Folkwang University in Essen, Germany, and other Musikhochschulen in Northrhine-Westphalia, to prepare them for a future position in an orchestra; however, it currently employs a core of permanent members from all over Germany and the world. Members are auditioned and trialed as in a professional orchestra, and, if successful, are offered a permanent contract up to the age of 35. It was founded in 1958 by the director of the Folkwangschule . More than 500 musicians were since employed in opera- and symphony orchestras in Germany and abroad.
Dadi trialled with Perth in November 2007, but was denied an opportunity to join Perth Glory, when his previous club Hapoel Acre failed to release him during the transfer window. He took part in the Glory's post-season tour of China and impressed coaching staff enough to offer him a permanent contract with the club. Dadi's first A-League goal with the club came in the second match of the 2008–09 A-League season, against Newcastle United Jets at Members Equity Stadium in Perth. Dadi rose to meet a cross from team mate Amaral, putting the header past goalkeeper Ante Covic.
Speedie joined the Saints at the same time as his old Chelsea strike partner Kerry Dixon. He made just seven appearances (scoring twice) for the Saints in the 1992–93 league campaign, making his Premier League debut, having unsuccessful loan spells with Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion before another loan deal in early March took him to Division One promotion contenders West Ham United. His four goals in 11 league games helped the Hammers secure automatic promotion to the Premier League as Division One runners-up. Speedie was not offered a permanent contract with West Ham.
Hans-Dieter Flick joined Bayern Munich on 1 July 2019 as an assistant coach. Under Kovač, Bayern was off to a slow start in the league and after a 1–5 loss to Frankfurt, Kovač and Bayern parted ways on 3 November 2019 with Flick being promoted to interim manager. After a satisfying spell as interim coach, Bayern announced on 22 December 2019 that Flick would remain in charge until the end of season. Bayern's performances on the pitch picked up noticeably and in April 2020, the club agreed with Flick to a new permanent contract through 2023.
Williams joined Tamworth on loan on 20 January 2006 for the remainder of the 2005–06 season, Williams made a total of eight appearances and scored five goals during the loan spell, before injury put an end to his season. Despite an impressive time on loan at Tamworth, Williams was not offered a new contract by Notts County and was released. Williams decided to re-sign with Tamworth on a one-year permanent contract for the 2006–07 season. During the season, he played as a winger and as a striker, and made a total of 31 appearances, scoring five goals.
On 29 May, however, he was loaned to Palmeiras until the end of the year. After achieving promotion with Verdão, Ananias was subsequently loaned to Sport Recife (also scoring the first official goal of Allianz Parque in a 2–0 away win against former club Palmeiras on 19 November 2014) and Chapecoense. On 11 December 2015, Ananias signed a permanent contract with Chape. The following 2 November, he scored the equalizer in a 1–1 draw at San Lorenzo for the year's Copa Sudamericana, which would later ensure his team in the finals through the away goals rule.
Northampton-born Longhurst was a pacy striker who began his career in Nottingham Forest's youth team under the management of Brian Clough in the early 1980s, and received a permanent contract in 1983. However, he never played a first team game for Forest, and joined Halifax Town in the Fourth Division on a free transfer in 1985. He was a regular goalscorer at the club, scoring 24 goals in 85 league appearances, although it wasn't enough to turn the West Yorkshire club into promotion contenders. After two seasons at Halifax, he joined his hometown club Northampton Town in 1987.
On 9 January 2009, Kalala began to hold talks over a permanent switch back to the club. Newell had hoped the further accusitions of fellow French speaking players Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro and Mickael Buscher would sway his decision to re-join the club permanently. However, due to the club's current low league position, Kalala snubbed a permanent contract, but did however extend his loan stay with the North East Lincolnshire club until the end of the season. Little under two months later, Kalala got injured, forcing him to spend the last two months of the season on the sidelines.
He and teammate Alonso were successful in stifling the creative play of both Kaká and Clarence Seedorf for much of the match but Liverpool eventually succumbed to Milan, losing 2–1. He was voted Liverpool's man of the match by the fans on the official Liverpool website. Mascherano playing for Liverpool in 2010. Following months of speculation, Mascherano signed a four- year permanent contract with Liverpool on 29 February 2008, ending his association with Media Sports Investments. The transfer reportedly cost Liverpool £18.6 million, and covered not only the transfer fee, but also the player's wages for the four-year deal.
They managed to survive a promotion/relegation play-off with Waterford United, but it only prolonged the inevitable. After caretaker- manager Eddie May changed his mind about a permanent contract on the eve of the 1997–98 season, the club turned to Jim McLaughlin (who had retired from management and joined the board) to come out of retirement and try and turn things around. Alongside club stalwart Tommy Connolly, McLaughlin managed to deliver a safe mid-table finish, which was finished off with a televised final day victory over Shelbourne that handed the title to St. Patrick's Athletic.
On his return to Wigan, Joe Mellor was sent on loan to Widnes along with Dom Crosby and Logan Tomkins. Mellor featured at stand-off for the Chemics, scoring tries in the home fixtures against Barrow and Toulouse Olympique, and a brace away at Barrow. Mellor was once again loaned to Widnes in 2012, and joined the club on a permanent contract after being released by Wigan at the end of 2012. Since permanently joining the Vikings, Mellor has improved over his years at the club, being regarded as one of the best players in Super League.
Barnsley then scored their third through Peter Ramage but Freddie Sears scored his twelfth goal of the season in a 3–2 win for Barnsley. On 18 November it was announced George Moncur had signed a permanent contract with the club until summer 2017. The defence was also bolstered by the loan signing of Queens Park Rangers youngster Cole Kpekawa joining in an initial month-long deal. On 21 November, Marcus Bean, who had not featured under Humes, was loaned out by the club to League Two side Portsmouth until early January with a view to a permanent move.
Fosheim graduated from the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre, after which she appeared in various roles on stage, film, and television. Rather than working under a permanent contract with any particular theater, she worked as a freelancer. In the 1980s and 90s she became a well known face on Norwegian television, frequently appearing in comedy shows playing stereotypically dim character, with her most famous role being Vigdis Reverud in the sitcom Karl & Co from 1998 to 2001. In her later career, she also had success writing historical books for children about composers, like Mozart, Grieg and Vivaldi.

Tøfting returned to AGF on a permanent contract in June 1995 in a transfer deal worth DKK 1.2 million. "Kontrakt på plads", Politiken, 24 June 1995 He was named Man of the Match as he won his second Danish Cup triumph with AGF, and was called up for Denmark once again, after a three-year hiatus.
In 2000 she joined GMTV as maternity leave cover for regular weather forecaster Andrea McLean, however this led to a permanent contract, with her sharing duties with McLean following her return. In 2001 Nasir was made weather producer and presenter being responsible for all weather output and weather-related features on GMTV. GMTV forecasts include outside broadcasts, the most famous of which involves Nasir reporting from Bridlington seafront. Being lashed by wind and rain, in the middle of the report an enormous wave burst over the harbour wall, completely covering her and sending her flying out of shot.
In 1970, Holmes performed with Plácido Domingo in Aida in the Vienna State Opera. Holmes sang with the New York City Opera, and in 1971 he played the role of Ukamba written for him by Gian Carlo Menotti, in the world premier of The Most Important Man. His singing attracted critical acclaim from critics, including Alan Rush of New York Magazine in 1971, and when he sang under permanent contract with the German Opera on the Rheine, Time Magazine reported his singing as "supurb".Time Magazine “So superb the singing of Baritone Eugene Holmes” - Monday, Jan.
In September 2006, while at Witton, Whalley spent five weeks on trial at League One club Crewe Alexandra, but he was not offered a permanent contract. He subsequently joined League Two side Accrington Stanley on loan two months later. Whalley made his debut for the club in the 1–2 defeat to Hartlepool United at the Crown Ground. However, two weeks later, he was sent off in the Football League Trophy match against Doncaster Rovers following a high tackle on Theo Streete, although Accrington manager John Coleman felt that the challenge was not deserving of a red card.
Upon returning, Monteagudo again featured sparingly before signing a permanent contract with CE L'Hospitalet in January 1996, with the side also in the third division. He subsequently represented CD Manchego and Recreativo de Huelva in the same level, achieving promotion to Segunda División with the latter in 1998. Monteagudo scored his first professional goal on 30 January 1999, netting the opener in a 1–1 home draw against SD Compostela for the second division championship. In July, he moved to fellow league team CP Mérida, appearing sparingly during his one-season spell and leaving the club the following summer as it folded.
In 1573 the Henrician Articles were introduced. A permanent contract between the "Polish nation" - in actuality, just the nobility of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth - and a newly elected king upon his election to the throne, the Articles set out the fundamental principles of governance and constitutional law in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The Articles, named after King Henryk Walezy (Henry III of France), confirmed numerous previous privileges, and introduced new limitations on the monarch. Crucially, they confirmed that each new king would be elected by the nobles, and that his children had no right of inheritance with regards to the throne.
Collin started to train with Carlisle United twice a week in December 2008, and did enough to secure the offer of a permanent contract in February 2009, joining the club at the end of the 2008–09 season. Collin made his debut for Carlisle United in the 2009–10 Football League Trophy Northern Section First Round, in the 2–2 draw with Morecambe on 1 September 2009. Carlisle won after a penalty shoot-out. He played again, in the Northern Section Second Round of the same tournament on 6 October, in Carlisle's 4–2 home victory over Macclesfield Town.
Totti ended the 2010–11 Serie A campaign with 15 goals – with twelve of his goals coming in Roma's last 13 league fixtures. At the end of the season, Roma underwent a change of ownership, with the former club owner Rosella Sensi being replaced by an American consortium led by Thomas DiBenedetto. Under the new management, the club did not offer a permanent contract to Montella, which led to him leaving to coach another Serie A side, Catania. The Roma management appointed Luis Enrique, who had previous coached the Barcelona B side, in a bid to emulate Barcelona's football style.
Peters played 22 matches with W Connection during the 2016–17 season (18 in league, 4 in Champions League) before being loaned out to American second-tier side Toronto FC II in April 2017, after a preseason trial. He made his league debut with the team on April 7, appearing as a part of the starting XI in a 0–0 draw with the Rochester Rhinos. After another appearance against Ottawa Fury, Toronto FC II signed Peters to a permanent contract on May 19. Later that day, he played against Tampa Bay Rowdies, again in head coach Jason Bent's starting XI.
McNeil made a scoring and man of the match performance on his professional debut in the 2005–06 Northern Final, second leg against Carlisle United and took the tie to extra time, but Macclesfield lost on away goals. Following a successful two-month loan spell, he signed a permanent contract with League Two side Macclesfield Town in June 2006. He made 35 league appearances in the 2006–07 season, scoring five goals. The highlight of the season was playing at Chelsea in the third round of the FA Cup, and getting an assist for the goal in the 6-1 defeat.
On 23 July 2011, Mooney signed his first permanent contract since 2008, a two-year deal with League One side Leyton Orient, where he linked up with former Norwich City teammate Jamie Cureton. He scored his first goal for the club in a League Cup game against Bristol Rovers, following it with a goal against Blackburn Rovers in the next round. Mooney then scored his first two league goals, away at Yeovil Town on 25 October, as the game ended 2–2. Mooney would go on to tally 21 goals in his first two years at the club.
In 1947, after she had performed with the German operatic soprano Wilhelmine Schröder-Devrient at the summer palace of Sanssouci, Bergnéhr received a travel grant which enabled her to spend a year in London studying under Manuel García. On her return to Copenhagen, she was given a permanent contract with the Royal Theatre. Heiberg commented that she had become "the glamorous centerpiece around whom all the other members of the opera congregated". Her roles in subsequent years included Vilhelmine in Édouard Du Puy's Youth and Folly, Anna in Mozart's Don Giovanni and Susanne in his Le nozze di Figaro.
Pacheco signed with neighbouring Sporting CP in summer 1993, alongside teammate Paulo Sousa. From there onwards, however, he received little continuity due to injuries, and made only 50 league appearances in five years combined, also representing C.F. Os Belenenses, A.C. Reggiana 1919 and C.D. Santa Clara; he retired in 2001 at the age of 34, after three seasons in the lower leagues. In 1996, Pacheco went on trial with Premier League side Sunderland, but was not offered a permanent contract. The Henrician Articles or King Henry's Articles (Polish: Artykuły henrykowskie, Latin: Articuli Henriciani) were a permanent contract between the "Polish nation" (the szlachta, or nobility, of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth) and a newly elected king upon his election to the throne. It stated the fundamental principles of governance and constitutional law in the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. While pacta conventa comprised only the personal undertakings of the king-elect, the Henrician Articles were a permanent constitution that all kings-elect had to swear to respect. The articles functioned, essentially, as a first constitution for Poland until the Constitution of May 3, 1791.
On 8 March 2016, Tyler's return to former club Peterborough United was confirmed as a player-coach on a three-month loan deal with a view to a permanent move. He made his first appearance since his return to the club in a 2–0 home defeat to Scunthorpe United on 23 April 2016. Tyler agreed a one-year permanent playing contract alongside his role as goalkeeping coach following the appointment of Grant McCann as Peterborough United manager on 16 May 2016. His permanent contract officially began on 8 June 2016, following the expiration of his loan spell.

The National Theatre reopened on November 18, 1883 with a reprisal of Libuše with the same cast. In 1887, Reichová's love for Italian music brought her to Italy where she became fluent in Italian and made intensive studies of the major Italian repertoire. In 1888 she appeared at the Hungarian State Opera House, where she raised such enthusiasm that she was offered a permanent contract.
Enemark normal position was at centre back but he was promoted because the first team was missing a right back. On 3 August 2018, Enemark was loaned out to his childhood club, HB Køge, in the second-tier 1st Division until the end of the season. Enemark had not made many appearances for Brøndby due to tough competition in defense. At the end of his loan spell at HB Køge, it was announced that Enemark would not receive a permanent contract with the club because the coaching staff failed to agree on the position in which he would be utilised.
In March 2002, O'Connor joined Queen of the South from Dundee United on a permanent contract. On 20 April 2002 he scored the third goal in the 3–0 victory that clinched the 2001–02 Scottish Second Division Championship at Station Park versus Forfar Athletic. He was an instant hit with the Queens faithful as he ended his first full season in Dumfries as top goalscorer. Injuries took their toll during his second full season at the club and O'Connor reluctantly rejected the offer of a new contract from Queens due to family reasons, at the end of 2003–04.
Tengarrinha spent the first part of the 2010–11 campaign with C.D. Santa Clara in the Segunda Liga, where he featured rarely. In January 2011, still owned by Porto, he joined top flight club Vitória Setubal; in the ensuing off-season, he signed a permanent contract at the latter. On 15 July 2012, free agent Tengarrinha moved abroad for the first time and joined PFC CSKA Sofia from the First Professional Football League (Bulgaria). On the very last day of the following transfer window, however, he returned to his country, signing a five-month deal at second tier's S.C. Freamunde.
Dior Thomas Angus (born 18 January 1994) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Barrow. He began his career in non-league football, playing for Solihull Moors, Leamington (on loan), Banbury United (on loan), Kidderminster Harriers, Worcester City (on loan), Daventry Town, Stratford Town and Redditch United. He earned a move to Port Vale in January 2018 after he scored 17 goals for Redditch in the first half of the 2017–18 season. From Vale he was loaned out to Tamworth, Nuneaton Borough and Barrow, before he joined Barrow on a permanent contract in May 2019.
Cann was released by Rotherham at the end of the 2008–09 season, joining Welsh Premier League side Aberystwyth Town, making his debut in a 4–0 win over Caersws on the opening day of the season. Having previously been with the club on a non-contract basis, Cann signed a permanent contract with Aberystwyth on 4 December 2009. Manager Alan Morgan praised Cann's form stating: "Steve, in my eyes, is the best goalkeeper in the Welsh Premier." In his first year with the club, Cann made 29 league appearances before an injury ruled him out for the final month of the season.
On 31 January 2017, he moved to another reserve team, RCD Mallorca B also in the third division, on loan until the end of the season. On 4 August 2017, Sánchez returned to Oviedo, signing a one-year loan deal and being assigned to the B-team in Tercera División. On 13 July 2018, after achieving promotion to the third level, he signed a permanent contract with the club after terminating his link with Real Madrid. Sánchez made his first- team debut on 28 October 2018, replacing Joselu in a 1–2 away defeat to Gimnàstic de Tarragona for the Segunda División championship.
Mahoney signed for Third Division club Brentford on a three-month trial in July 1982. Partnering Francis Joseph up front, Mahoney had a good start to life at Griffin Park, scoring 15 goals in his first 28 appearances and signing a permanent contract, before suffering a fractured leg in an FA Cup second round replay versus Swindon Town in December. After recovering, he failed to show the same kind of form and was released at the end of the 1983–84 season. Mahoney made 58 appearances and scored 19 goals during his two years with Brentford.

Preston manager Billy Davis was impressed by Curtis and offered him a permanent contract after his impressive loan spell. Upon Curtis' return to Portsmouth at the end of October, he spoke of his determination to win a regular place in the first team and get his career back on track. However, he made only five appearances under Harry Redknapp, and failed to play at all under Redknapp's successor Velimir Zajec. In January 2005, Curtis moved on a free transfer to Nottingham Forest, initially on a short-term contract before signing a two-year deal at the end of the season.
He duly moved on loan to League Two Milton Keynes Dons in November 2006. After returning to his parent club, he was released from his contract with Leeds leaving under poor terms with Dennis Wise, and two days later signed a permanent contract with the Dons. Upon his return to the team in November 2006, he was utilised as an impact substitute and scored four goals in six appearances during Aldershot's Hampshire Senior Cup- winning campaign. Hudson signed a new one-year contract in April 2007 and had an excellent 2007–08 season, making 48 appearances and scoring 12 goals to help the Shots to the Conference Premier title and promotion to the Football League.

In December 1999, Warnock was made manager of Sheffield United and in October 2001 he brought Littlejohn back to the club, on a non-contract basis. He remained loyal to Warnock, refusing to sign a permanent contract with Carlisle United, though he was to only play three competitive matches for the first team in 2001–02, two of those coming from off the bench. Leaving the club in February 2003 he rejected the chance to sign with Bradford City, and instead signed with Port Vale. After impressing manager Brian Horton, his initial one-month deal was extended to the end of the season.
Gary Gardner (born 29 June 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for club Birmingham City. A product of the Aston Villa Academy, Gardner made his senior debut while on loan at Coventry City. He first played competitively for Aston Villa in late 2011, and went on to spend time on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, Brighton & Hove Albion, Nottingham Forest, Barnsley and Birmingham City, before joining Birmingham on a permanent contract in 2019. He has made a number of appearances at under-age levels for England, including five for England U21.
He made his professional debut in the Eerste Divisie for FC Eindhoven on 28 January 2012 in a game against SC Veendam. On 18 January 2019, NAC Breda announced that Vermeer's contract had been mutually terminated to allow him to go on trial with Nashville SC of the USL. On 22 February 2019, Nashville SC announced they had signed Vermeer to a permanent contract following a successful period on trial with the club. On 3 July 2019, Nashville SC announced that they had loaned Vermeer to Las Vegas Lights FC for the rest of the 2019 season.
In Spain, On 30 October 2018, Julen Lopetegui was sacked as Real Madrid coach after poor results, with the appointment of Santiago Solari as caretaker coach. After 14 days, Solari was given a permanent contract because in Spain no club was allowed to have a caretaker for more than two weeks. Later he was sacked and replaced by former teammate Zinedine Zidane for the second time. On the other hand, Tony Parkes was named caretaker manager of Blackburn Rovers on six separate occasions between 1986 and 2004, without ever being given the role in a permanent capacity.
On 31 May 2009, in the penultimate game of the campaign against Minyor Pernik, Gadzhev scored his first league goal for Levski, clinching the draw 1–1 and the title for the club. On 7 July 2009, Gadzhev signed a permanent contract with Levski for an undisclosed fee. A week later, he scored his first goal of the 2009–10 season, netting the fourth in a 4–0 win over Sant Julià in the 2nd Qualifying round of Champions League at Georgi Asparuhov Stadium. On 1 August, Gadzhev came on as a substitute in the 2009 Bulgarian Supercup against Litex Lovech.
On 29 December 2011, it was announced that Murtagh would join former club Woking on loan until the end of the season. After leaving Cambridge United, Murtagh spent the 2012–13 season at Macclesfield Town before moving on to play for League two side Mansfield Town. However, he was unable to make regular appearance in the starting lineup and midway through the 2013–14 season, came back down to Woking on loan for a third spell. Once his contract ended at Mansfield Town, Murtagh signed a permanent contract with The Cards for the 2014–15 season.
He did not play during that period, nor when he signed a new 10-day contract but was finally signed to a permanent contract in March 1983 until the end of the season. Davis scored 5 points in six minutes on his NBA debut, he would play in 8 games, averaging 1.8 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.5 blocks in 3.5 minutes per game. After being released by the Knicks at the end of the season, he returned to Europe, this time with Spanish Liga ACB side Barcelona in 1983. With the Spaniards he would win the 1985 European Cup Winners' Cup and the 1985 Club World Cup.
After Peterborough United's failed attempt to get Basey leave the club in the summer transfer window, Basey subsequently moved to Wycombe Wanderers initially on loan. Two days after signing for the club, Basey made his Wycombe Wanderers debut on 8 October 2011, where he played and started the whole game, in a 1–1 draw against Walsall. After making five appearance since joining the club, his loan spell at Wycombe Wanderers was extended until the end of December. Just he was about to return to his parent club, he signed a permanent contract with the club, keeping him until the end of the 2012–13 season.
On January 31, 2008 Perović signed for Swiss giants FC Basel on a 6-month loan deal, hoping for a permanent deal after coming back from an injury plagued year at Red Star. He scored on his Basel debut, on 9 February, in a 3–0 win over Neuchâtel Xamax. On June 2, it was announced that he had signed a permanent contract with Basel until 2011. He also scored on his full Basel debut, in a 2–1 win over BSC Young Boys on 18 July, and followed up the next week by scoring the winner in a 1–0 home win over Grasshopper Club Zürich.
Meredith playing for York City in 2010 He was offered a permanent contract by Telford after the end of the season, but he opted to join Conference Premier team York City on 22 May 2009. He made his debut in a 2–1 defeat to Oxford United on 8 August 2009. Meredith was sent off after receiving two yellow cards in a 1–1 draw against Oxford on 17 October 2009, which resulted in him being handed a one-match suspension for York's match against Luton Town. He signed a new contract with York on 29 March 2010 to keep him at the club until the summer of 2011.
In February 2016, Hougaard signed a short-term contract with English Premiership club Worcester Warriors for the remainder of the 2015–2016 season. He made his debut for his new side in their match against Sale Sharks, marking the occasion by scoring a try in a 31–23 victory and also put in a man-of-the- match performance in their 15–14 victory over the Newcastle Falcons two weeks later. On 15 March 2016, it was announced that Hougaard signed a permanent contract with the team, but would be allowed to link up with the South African sevens team to participate at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
He fell out of favour at Bradford after joining permanently, however, and returned to Scotland with loan spells at Hearts and Dundee United before returning permanently with former club Dunfermline Athletic in 2003. During January 2007, Tod was told that he was no longer needed at East End Park by manager Stephen Kenny. On 11 July 2007, Tod moved to Dunfermline Athletic's Fife rivals Raith Rovers on a free transfer. Without starting a game for Raith in the 2008–09 season, he was loaned out to team up with his former manager Dick Campbell at Forfar Athletic on 31 October 2008, signing a permanent contract three months later.
Hjálmar Þórarinsson (born 16 February 1986, in Reykjavík) is an Icelandic footballer currently playing as a striker for Berserkir. Þórarinsson started his career with Þróttur in his native Iceland before moving to Hearts in October 2004, initially on loan. Displaying a combination of pace and power, he impressed the Tynecastle coaching staff enough in U21 and first team appearances to earn a permanent contract in May 2005. The highlight of this spell for Þórarinsson was a last minute equaliser in the Scottish League Cup semi-final against Motherwell,Motherwell 3–2 Hearts, BBC Sport, 1 February 2005 which Hearts eventually lost 3–2 after extra time.
Davis scored his first goal of the season in the penultimate match, a "brilliant half-volley from the edge of the area" after the ball was not fully cleared by the defence, to secure a draw at home to Middlesbrough. Although he started a third fewer Championship matches than in 2014–15, he established himself in the team towards the end of the season because of what the Birmingham Mail viewed as the stability he gave to the side. Although the return of Tesche on a permanent contract seemed likely to endanger Davis's first-team place, he began the 2016–17 season in the starting eleven.
After five years he joined Burnley where he won two player of the year awards and scored the only goal in the 2009 play-off final elevating his team to the Premier League. He moved on to Birmingham City in 2011, playing regularly for two seasons. He spent time on loan at Bristol City in 2014, and joined them on a permanent contract after his release from Birmingham at the end of the 2013–14 season. Having achieved promotion from League One to the Championship with Bristol City in the 2014-15 season, Elliott retired from playing in June 2015 in order to take up a coaching role at the club.
After not featuring regularly in Birmingham's starting eleven, Elliott joined League One club Bristol City on 28 January 2014 on a one-month loan. He made his debut the same day, as a half-time substitute at Brentford with his new team already 3–1 behind, and was booked early in the half for a poor tackle. He went on to impress manager Steve Cotterill, who admitted that he had "[thrown] him in too soon after not playing regular first team football since October", and Elliott's loan was extended to the end of the season. After his release from Birmingham, Elliott joined Bristol City on a one-year permanent contract.
Gavin started out playing for non-league Hanwell Town whilst working as a postman (earning him the nickname "Postman Pat") before he was signed on a short-term contract by Third Division Gillingham towards the end of the 1988-89 season. Impressed with his ability, Gillingham moved quickly to sign him to a permanent contract, however due to an oversight the contract was not correctly registered with the Football League.

In the end it took a determined campaign by Henry VII to largely stamp out the use of livery badges by others than the king, and reduce them to things normally worn only by household servants in the case of the aristocracy. Livery badges issues by guilds and corporations, and mayors, were exempt, and these continued in use until the 19th century in some cases. A particular concern in all the legislation was to forbid the issuing of liveries to those without a permanent contract with the lord; these groups assembled for a particular purpose were believed to be the most dangerous.
Fitzgerald joined Second Division club Brentford on loan on 16 March 2004 and played an important role in the Bees' successful battle against relegation in the 2003–04 season. He signed a permanent contract on 11 June 2004, though he rarely featured in the side during the 2004–05 season. The final appearance of Fitzgerald's career came in the last game of the regular season, playing alongside fellow veteran Andy Myers in defence in a 2–1 victory over already-promoted Hull City. Fitzgerald retired at the end of the 2004–05 season, following Brentford's defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in the League One play-off semi-finals.
It was under the direction of "the doctor", Karl Böhm that she made her first State Opera, appearances but it was Herbert von Karajan who offered her the permanent contract, and under his direction that she enjoyed a stream of successes. Although it is the professional relationship with Karajan that is more widely celebrated, she was also able to advise him over a personal problem which arose when the maestro acquired a donkey which his wife found impossible to control. Once she had been talent-spotted by Karajan, Renate Holm appeared in many of the world's great opera houses, performing alongside the great stars of her generation.
Knight began his career as a trainee at Chelsea (where he made one appearance in the UEFA Cup against Levski Sofia), before spending loan periods at Queens Park Rangers, Huddersfield Town, Sheffield Wednesday and Brighton & Hove Albion before joining Brighton on a permanent contract in August 2003. During his spell at Huddersfield, he reignited the Terriers' play-off push and formed an unlikely partnership with local hero Andy Booth, earning himself the nickname 'Neon Light'. Unfortunately, he was sent off in the penultimate game of the season and was suspended for the play-off games. Although his transfer was initially free, £50,000 was to be paid if Brighton were promoted.
There was disagreement over whether the bridge's cables should use the as-yet-untested Bessemer steel or the well-proven crucible steel. Until a permanent contract was awarded, the builders ordered of wire in the interim, 10 tons each from three companies, including Washington Roebling's own steel mill in Brooklyn. In the end, it was decided to use number 8 Birmingham gauge (approximately 4 mm or 0.165 inches in diameter) crucible steel, and a request for bids was distributed, to which eight companies responded. In January 1877, a contract for crucible steel was awarded to J. Lloyd Haigh, who was associated with bridge trustee Abram Hewitt, whom Roebling distrusted.

Born in West Bromwich, Kerr played for his hometown club West Bromwich Albion as a youth player but was released without making an appearance for the first team. He attracted attention from Luton Town but, when Luton eventually pulled out of offering him a permanent contract, Kerr instead signed for Shrewsbury Town in 1984. He made his professional debut two years later, making ten appearances for the side, before being released in 1986. He joined Cardiff City and enjoyed an extended run in the first team, playing 31 league matches during the 1986–87 season and scoring his first senior goal in a 3–1 victory over Scunthorpe United.
Sealey retained the position of first-choice goalkeeper for the 1990–91 season after signing a permanent contract. Although Leighton remained contracted to United for nearly two more years, he played only one more game for the club (against Halifax Town in the Football League Cup on 26 September 1990). He was fourth choice keeper in 1990–91 behind Sealey, Gary Walsh and youngster Mark Bosnich, and was loaned to Arsenal between March and May 1991, a period in which they won the league title, although he did not play. Leighton remained fourth choice United keeper in season 1991–92 behind Peter Schmeichel, Walsh and youngster Ian Wilkinson.
On 8 July 2017, Boly joined EFL Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers on a season-long loan, reuniting him with his former head coach Nuno Espírito Santo. He made his competitive debut for Wolverhampton on the opening day of the 2017–18 season in a 1–0 home win against Middlesbrough, and scored his first goal with them on 31 October to help Wolves win 2–0 away against Norwich City. After making 37 official appearances and helping them achieve promotion, Boly signed a permanent contract with Wolves. He made his Premier League debut on 11 August 2018, in a 2–2 home draw against Everton.
Ouédraogo was Bbrn in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. Between 2008 and 2012, Ouédraogo played at the Feyenoord Ghana football academy, the African branch of the Dutch club Feyenoord Rotterdam. In July 2012, while playing for Ouagadougou- based side ASFA Yennenga, he was offered a trial at newly promoted French Ligue 2 outfit Chamois Niortais. After impressing in several pre-season friendly matches he was signed by the club on a permanent contract. He began the season playing in the reserves before making his senior debut for Niort on 5 October 2012, coming on as a late substitute for Johan Gastien in the 0–1 defeat away at Lens.
Jordon Mutch joined Championship club Watford on an initial one-month loan, later extended until January 2011, and several fringe players left on loan. Garry O'Connor had two separate loan spells at Barnsley, initially to regain match fitness after injury, but was released in December to join that club on a permanent contract. In the January transfer window, Míchel joined AEK Athens on loan until the end of the season. League Two club Burton Albion intended to take 16-year-old winger Nathan Redmond on loan, but the move fell foul of regulations forbidding first-year scholars to sign on loan for League clubs.
Promoted to the first team ahead of the 2016–17 season, he made his professional debut on 29 November by starting in a 1–0 Copa del Rey home win against Deportivo de La Coruña. José Carlos made his La Liga debut on 4 December 2016, playing the full 90 minutes in a 3–3 home draw against Celta de Vigo. The following 8 August, he was loaned to Lorca FC, newly promoted to Segunda División, for one year. On 31 January 2018, José Carlos was loaned to fellow second tier club CD Lugo for six months, with a permanent contract agreed after the expiration of the loan deal.
After teaming up with Colchester United's Academy and appearing in their Essex Senior Cup penalty shoot-out defeat to Concord Rangers on 28 October 2014, Harney joined the League One club on a youth loan deal until 12 January 2015. However, on 13 November, Colchester manager Tony Humes confirmed that Harney had agreed to a one-and-a- half year permanent contract with the club. Harney made his professional and Football League debut on 29 November 2014. He came on as a substitute for forward Rhys Healey in a tactical substitution following fellow loanee Will Packwood's red card for a foul in the penalty area.
Stanislaus joined Third Division club Brentford on trial in September 1987 and impressed sufficiently to be awarded a permanent contract one month later. He quickly broke into the team and made 41 appearances and scored two goals during the 1987–88 season, which earned him a new two-year contract in April 1988. Stanislaus' "languid, yet hugely effective style" made him "a crowd favourite at left back". He had a memorable 1988–89 season, making a career- high 56 appearances and scoring two goals, one of which came with a 40-yard "screamer" in a 2–2 League Cup first round draw with Fulham early in the campaign.
On the back of his successful loan stint with Colchester United, Ibehre signed a permanent contract with the club until the end of the 2012–13 season on 22 January 2013. Ibehre insisted that there was "no doubt in me coming back". He found his shooting boots on his second debut for the Essex club when he opened the scoring in a 2–0 win against his former employers Walsall on 26 January, a result that handed Colchester their first points for nine games. He scored both goals in a 2–0 win on the road at Stevenage on 2 March which helped move the club out of the relegation zone.
Foxe trained with Leeds United during their 2006 pre-season campaign and signed a five-month permanent contract with the Yorkshire club on 11 August 2006. Foxe attempted to rebuild his career at Leeds and since the departure of Kevin Blackwell, both care-taker manager John Carver and new manager Dennis Wise provided the Aussie with chances to perform. Foxe however only ultimately played a bit part in the 2006–07 season and was released at the end of the season when Leeds United were relegated to English League One. He scored one league goal during his time at Leeds, against Luton in a 5–1 defeat.
The year of 1978 would prove to be a watershed in Golac's career. He had reached the age of 28, when Yugoslavia's Communist authorities would allow players to move abroad; it was also the year in which English football's restrictions on foreign players were lifted. Golac was transferred to Southampton in August 1978 for a fee of £50,000, initially on a non- contract basis until problems obtaining a work permit were resolved, before signing a permanent contract in September. He made his Football League debut for them on 22 August 1978 against Bolton Wanderers, and he went on to play 144 League games in his first spell with the club.
After making only five appearances for Rosenborg in his first season, Nielsen joined AGF on 31 August 2015 on a one-year loan deal with the option for a permanent contract. His time in Aarhus was marred by injuries and he only made four appearances during the season, scoring one goal. At the end of the season, AGF did not pick up the buy option and he returned to Rosenborg. Upon his return, Rosenborg-coach Kåre Ingebrigtsen expressed that, considering the club's strength at the winger position, it would be difficult for Nielsen to find his way into the squad, and that a solution had to be found.
Welch- Hayes signed a professional contract with Oxford United in May 2016, at the age of 19. He made his League One debut for the club on 17 August 2016, playing the full 90 minutes of a 2–0 away defeat to Fleetwood Town at Highbury Stadium. He was released without making further appearances in May 2017 and joined Bath City on a permanent contract a week or so later. In October 2017 he began a one-month loan at Oxford City and started in the team that beat Colchester United of League Two in a first-round FA Cup upset on 4 November 2017.
Carlisle United in 2015 Antony Sweeney was born in Stockton-on-Tees and grew up as a Liverpool fan and his favourite player was Robbie Fowler. After developing into a good footballer, he joined Hartlepool's Youth Development programme, the same programme that developed players such as Adam Boyd and Jim Provett into first team regulars. He established himself as a hot prospect whilst in the youth team and was offered a permanent contract under Chris Turner to stop him going elsewhere. In the 2001–02 season, Sweeney made his debut in the 3–0 win over York City after coming on as a substitute.
Mountain Jam 2009, May 31, 2009 2000 to 2014 saw renewed success for the band. Jaimoe, Butch Trucks and Gregg Allman were joined by percussionist Marc Quiñones in 1991, bassist Oteil Burbridge (1997), guitar and vocalist, Warren Haynes (1989–1997; then again starting in 2000), and slide guitarist Derek Trucks (in 1999). Every March, the band had taken up a residency at New York's Beacon Theatre for several weeks of shows, often featuring an extended percussion battle between Trucks, Jaimoe and Quiñones. This practice came to a final halt, after forty years of performances since the Cirque du Soleil was given a permanent contract year-round at the Beacon Theatre.

York were 2–0 down in their New Year's Day fixture at home to Mansfield until the 77th minute when Blair scored, and in the first minute of stoppage time substitute Fyfield scored the equaliser to draw the match at 2–2. After beginning professionally with lowly Clube Caçadores das Taipas, Póvoa de Varzim-born Milhazes joined hometown club Varzim S.C. (in the second division). After appearing scarcely for Boavista F.C. in 2004–05's Primeira Liga, his first top-flight season, he signed with Rio Ave FC, experiencing both relegation and promotion. In late January 2008, Milhazes joined Romanian Liga I side FC Politehnica Timișoara, first on loan. After the move was made permanent, he returned to Portugal exactly one year after and signed with Vitória de Guimarães on loan until the end of the campaign, as a replacement for Jacques Momha who left for Turkey; in June 2009, he agreed to a permanent contract.
Malsom joined Weymouth on non contract terms in August 2011 and quickly became a first team regular. He went on to sign a permanent contract with the club for rest of the season. Impressive performances and goals including a hat trick against A.F.C Totton attracted interest from other clubs and it was later confirmed he had signed for Dorchester Town for an undisclosed fee in January 2012. Malsom continued to show an eye for goal by scoring 4 goals in three friendly games for Dorchester Town, he followed that up with a superb arching volley into the top corner on his league debut against Havant and Waterlooville and a header against Weston Super Mare.

Ben Harris (born 24 April 1989) is an English rugby union player for Wasps in the Aviva Premiership. Harris was initially part of Rotherham Titans set-up but he joined Yorkshire Carnegie on loan in 2012-13 season where he quickly established himself in the first team and made 22 appearances in total throughout the campaign and earned a permanent contract. He was one of the stars of the season, earning a number of Man of the Match accolades and carved a reputation as one of the brightest young talents in the RFU Championship. He was in consistent form once again in 2013-14 season but injury brought his season to an early end after 19 games.

In the 1997–98 season, Bradford started well with 13 points from a possible 15 which saw the Bantams top of the table after five games, but results declined and chairman Geoffrey Richmond sacked Kamara on 6 January, three days after a 2–0 FA Cup defeat to Manchester City. Richmond turned to Jewell, who was by now Kamara's assistant, and he won his first game 2–1 to Stockport County. In his 21 games in charge, Jewell won six games and drew five to guide Bradford to 13th, their highest position since Jewell had joined the club. He was rewarded with a permanent contract when others expected Richmond to turn to a big name.

Veteran striker Teddy Sheringham had an excellent season, topping the club's goalscoring charts and gaining both the PFA and FWA Player of the Year awards. However, the arrival of Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy from PSV Eindhoven at the end of the season prompted Sheringham to return to Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer. Also leaving the club was Henning Berg, who was loaned to his old club Blackburn Rovers just after the start of the season, and moved on a permanent contract in December, joining former United players John Curtis and Mark Hughes in Blackburn's successful campaign that saw them promoted back to the Premier League after a two-year exile.

Putros began his youth years at IK Skovbakken, but was picked up by AGF in 2004, where he played a number of years in the youth and reserve teams for the club, before getting his Danish Superliga debut on 16 November 2012, playing the full 90 minutes in a match against FC Nordsjælland. In the fall of 2013 he was loaned to Silkeborg IF, where he was reunited with the former AGF assistant coach, Jesper Sørensen, who now had become the head coach of Silkeborg IF. On 11 August 2009, Broomes made his Tranmere debut in the First round of the League Cup against his former club Grimsby Town where he had been on loan back 2001, Broomes along with his new teammates beat his former club 4–0, and booked a place in the Second round of the League Cup. Broomes signed a permanent contract with Tranmere on 1 September 2009; a deal that will run until June 2010.
MLS has a set of pool goalkeepers who are signed to a contract with the league and are loaned to teams during emergencies in which they are missing a goalkeeper due to injuries or suspensions. The pool goalkeeper trains with an MLS club or an affiliated team when not assigned to a team; some pool goalkeepers, including Tim Melia, have gone on to be signed to permanent contract with their assigned teams. Charlie Lyon and Caleb Patterson-Sewell are the current pool goalkeepers. In the past, when rosters were smaller, there were multiple goalkeepers signed to the pool, however, in recent years only one or two keepers are signed as team rosters are much larger.

Sackey started his career with Tema All Stars youth team, catching the attention of the head coach after scoring 3 goals in 7 games, leading to his promotion to the senior team for the following season. Sakey scored 7 goals in 18 games before signing on loan for FC Olimpia Bălţi of the Moldovan National Division, scoring 6 times in 14 games, helping them escape relegation and earning a permanent contract. Sakey was loaned back to Tema All stars during the 2008-09 season, during which he scored 6 goals in 18 appearances. Prior to the start of the 2009–10 season, Sackey was sold by Olimpia Bălţi to league rivals FC Dacia Chișinău, for undisclosed fee.
He made 14 appearances and scored two goals during his spell at Adams Park. Nearly two years after he initially joined Wycombe Wanderers on loan, Saunders signed an 18-month permanent contract with the club on a free transfer on 20 January 2017. He made 18 appearances during the remainder of the 2016–17 season and scored the first goal of his second spell with the club with the opener in a 2–0 victory over Barnet on 17 April 2017. Despite missing three of the final months of the 2017–18 season with injury, Saunders made 27 appearances and two goals during a successful campaign, which ended with automatic promotion to League One after a third-place finish.
He refused the move as he felt he still had a good future with Manchester United and because he was given only a brief time to consider whether or not to relocate to a club and location he knew little about. He continued to impress, despite on-loan striker Garth Crooks being tipped to take his first team place and sign a permanent contract (which never happened). He went on to play a significant part in the club's successful campaign, culminating in a man-of-the-match performance in the 2011 SWALEC Cup final. Bright was signed to Crystal Palace by manager Steve Coppell for a £75,000 fee in November 1986. The initial contract was only a temporary three-month deal as there were medical concerns with his Osteitis pubis, meaning that if he was unfit at the end of this period he would be returned to Leicester. However, he went on to sign a permanent contract after completing the trial period. Palace already had a successful strike partnership in Ian Wright and Andy Gray, though Coppell moved Gray into central midfield to accommodate Bright up front. The "Eagles" were pressing for promotion out of the Second Division, but finished two points outside the play-offs in 1986–87.
On 27 October 2014, after only six appearances for the "Valiants", Jennings returned to Tranmere Rovers for a third spell, signing on loan until January 2015; in doing so he was also reunited with manager Micky Adams, who had signed him for Port Vale three months earlier. Born in Ettingen, Grippo came through the ranks in the FC Basel youth system and played for two years in their reserve team. He was sent out on a loan to feeder club FC Concordia Basel during the 2007–08 season. He originally had a half season-long loan spell at Concordia Basel but this was extended in December into a full season loan. In summer 2008 he joined AC Bellinzona on loan, but just one month later, on 5 August, he signed for A.C. ChievoVerona of Italian Serie A on a permanent contract. He made his first appearance for Chievo Verona on 11 January 2009, which resulted in a 1–1 draw against FC Bologna.
On 1 December 2016, Tubbs signed for Sutton United on a permanent contract. Two days later, he made his club debut and scored the first goal in a 2-1 victory over League Two side Cheltenham Town in the second round of the FA Cup at Gander Green Lane, helping to send Sutton through to the third round for the first time in 22 years. On 21 January 2017, Tubbs scored his first league goal for Sutton in a 1-1 home draw against Eastleigh. On 1 July 2016, he joined Swindon Town on a three-year permanent contract ahead of the 2016–17 season. The move was an undisclosed fee, which is thought to be in the region of £400,000. Vigouroux started the 2016–17 season, regaining his status as first choice goalkeeper and kept a clean sheet in the opening game of the season, in a 1–0 win over Coventry City. It wasn't until on 10 September 2016 when he was sent–off for a second bookable offence for lashing out against Alex McDonald after a lunge, in a 2–0 loss against Oxford United and served a one match suspension as a result.
Manager Ossie Ardiles refused to give him a permanent contract. He signed for Torquay United in the Third Division on 23 November 1991. He was the centre of fan and media attention while at Plainmoor: in particular, his relationship with Coronation Street actress Julie Goodyear featured in tabloid newspapers; but he still managed to impress on the pitch, playing 21 league games that season and scoring 10 goals, though he was unable to save Torquay from suffering relegation from the Third Division. When Ivan Golac was appointed the manager of Torquay in February 1992, Fashanu was given the role of assistant manager and maintained this position at the end of the season when Golac was replaced by new manager Paul Compton.
The decision was attributed elsewhere in David Alexander's 1995 authorized biography of Gene Roddenberry, Star Trek Creator, which said that during the first batch of episodes, casting director Joseph D'Agosta reviewed the contracts for the main actors due to rising costs. At the time Whitney was guaranteed to appear in seven of the first 13 episodes, and contracted for four days work on each. However, she was used for nine additional days, leading D'Agosta to suggest to Roddenberry that if guest stars instead played the similar role but with different characters then they "would cost less and hold as much value". In March 2000, Lyttle was sent on loan to West Bromwich Albion for the remainder of the season, signing just two days before the transfer deadline. He helped ensure the club's survival in the First Division, and in turn earned himself a permanent contract in June 2000. He was a regular in the squad during the 2000–01 season, employed by manager Gary Megson as a right wing-back, and combined well with Ruel Fox down the right-hand side to help Albion reach the play-offs. Heath's loan spell at Leeds came to an end on 1 January 2007 and returned to Coventry City, but the following day he was free transferred to Leeds United, with a permanent contract until the end of the season. Heath's contract came to an end in June 2007 and was released, however, he re-signed a new contract at Elland Road shortly after with wages of £2,200 per week. In March 2008, Heath was told by manager Gary McAllister that he could look for a club to go out on loan to, as he was behind the likes of Rui Marques, Ľubomír Michalík, and Paul Huntington in the Leeds United centre-back pecking order. Heath only featured once for Leeds since McAllister joined the club.
Davies eventually linked up with former manager Clough in February 2014 when he signed for Sheffield United on loan until the end of the season. With United struggling with injuries, Davies was initially employed as a left-back and scored his first goal for the club from a free kick in a 2–0 home victory over Peterborough United at the start of March. Davies played regularly for United for the remainder of the season, appearing in a number of positions, and finished the campaign having made 20 appearances for the Blades and scored three goals. With his deal at Derby due to expire, United offered Davies a permanent contract in the summer of 2014, a deal which he duly signed the following month.
In Europe, temporary employment is utilized frequently and represents the heart of political and economic debates. At the end of June 2011, sports media in the UK reported he was due to join Tranmere Rovers on a permanent contract. Vaughan joined fellow Championship club Birmingham City on 26 November 2015, on loan until 2 January 2016. He made his debut as a second-half substitute in the next game, a 2–1 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion, and made six appearances in total without scoring. The loan was then extended until the end of the season, when his contract with Huddersfield expired, at which point it would be converted to a one-year permanent contract with an option for a further season. He missed a penalty in Birmingham's FA Cup loss to Premier League club Bournemouth that would have given his side a lead, and finished the season with no goals from 16 appearances, most of which were as a substitute.
Everton was born in Maracanaú, Ceará, and joined Grêmio's youth setup in 2012, from Fortaleza. Initially on loan, he signed a permanent contract in October 2013, whilst also being linked to Manchester City in the process. Promoted to the main squad by Enderson Moreira ahead of the 2014 season, Everton made his first team debut on 19 January of that year, coming on as a second-half substitute for Yuri Mamute in a 1–0 Campeonato Gaúcho away loss against São José-PA. His first goal came on four days later, as he scored the first in a 2–1 home win against Lajeadense. Everton made his Série A debut on 20 April 2014, replacing Pará in a 1–0 away loss against Athletico Paranaense.
He started with the youth team of Saipa and was able to make it to the senior team. There he showed some great performances and was called up to the Iranian national team when Miroslav Blažević was Iran's manager. He joined Al-Ahli of UAE in 2002 with $300'000 deal, playing alongside Ali Karimi. but returned to Iran after a few months, briefly playing for Saipa again, and then three seasons with Persepolis FC. After World Cup 2006, he signed a one-year loan deal with Emirati club Al- Shaab with the option to sign a permanent contract with the club after a year, but then signed a season-long contract with Al-Shabab club in the end of the league in 2007–2008 season.

It made way for a new daily soap opera, Crossroads, in which Gordon played the role of motel owner Meg Richardson (later Meg Mortimer), a part which had been developed with Gordon in mind as she was still under contract to Lew Grade's ATV. First in 1969 and over the following decade, she won the TV Times award for most popular television actress on eight occasions. Gordon was the only member of the Crossroads cast who had a permanent contract;As noted by Jane Rossington and Paul Henry on the documentary Crossroads Revisited in 1985 all other cast members were booked as and when on an ad hoc basis.
Having failed to establish himself at Birmingham, Till joined Grimsby Town of League Two on an initial one-month loan on 23 November 2006. Tony Butcher of Cod Almighty described him as an "instant hit with wonderful wingery" on his debut in a 2–0 victory over Accrington Stanley on 25 November 2006. After impressing manager Alan Buckley during his loan at Blundell Park, Grimsby agreed a deal with Birmingham and offered Till a permanent contract. He eventually joined Grimsby on a two-and- a-half-year contract on 5 January 2007, having already made seven appearances for the team during the 2006–07 season. His first appearance following his permanent transfer was a 2–0 defeat to Chester on 9 January 2007.
His performances saw him handed his first team debut on 1 January 1991 as a substitute in place of Paul Williams during a 1–1 draw with Gillingham. After spending time on loan at Norwegian side Odd Grenland in 2002 and Bristol Rovers in 2003 he was released by the club due to his child being ill and he returned to Italy to play for A.S. Two days later, Matt Derbyshire completed a move to Olympiacos, where he had been on loan since January 2009. With the incoming cash, Blackburn quickly move to secure Gaël Givet to a permanent contract following his successful loan spell from Marseille in the second half of the prior season. He was swiftly followed into Ewood Park by another free transfer, right-back Lars Jacobsen, who had been released from Everton following two years plagued by injury, and Steven Nzonzi, a central midfielder who joined from French club Amiens for an undisclosed fee. With the departure of two strikers and the lack of depth shown up front the prior season by being forced to play Christopher Samba as a striker for the most part, the attention was then shifted to strengthening the frontline.
At the end of the championship he returned to A.C. Milan but after a few weeks he transferred to Napoli then in the Italian Serie B league, on free transfer, despite still having a year left in his contract. Dalla Bona had a positive start at Napoli, with the club performing well in Serie B. His contributions to the team included a particularly stunning goal, a left footed volley from outside the box against Treviso. However, as Napoli made their return to Serie A, Dalla Bona was again regularly left out of the starting line, with Napoli signing new players. On 4 February 2009, Dalla Bona announced that he had left Napoli and was hoping to train with West Ham United to secure a permanent contract under former Chelsea teammate Gianfranco Zola.
Gamble was not retained by either United or Heeley at the end of that season and he subsequently spent a year playing for his home town club Worksop Town. Despite his lack of impact during his previous spell with Sheffield United they signed him for a second time in the summer of 1894, this time on a permanent contract. He spent two further seasons with the club but once again failed to make much impact, playing only three league games in two years. United lost all four competitive fixtures that Gamble had played for them in his two spells and his career at Bramall Lane was curtailed when he missed the train to Birmingham having been selected to play in a fixture there, after which he made only one more reserve appearance before being released.
On 9 January 2013, Stewart signed an initial three-month emergency loan at Championship side Leeds United, with a permanent deal on a three-year contract starting at the end of the 2013–14 season; he was the first signing made by manager Brian McDermott under the brief ownership of the Sports Capital consortium. On 20 March 2012, Jakupović joined English Championship club Hull City on trial, and after impressing in training and a friendly match Hull manager Nick Barmby expressed a desire to sign Jakupović on a permanent contract. Following the sacking of Nick Barmby, Jakupović had trials with Ipswich Town. On 9 July 2012, Jakupović signed for Hull City on a two-year contract, becoming Steve Bruce's first full signing as manager. He officially joined the team on their pre-season training session in Portugal. He made his debut in a 3–1 friendly win against North Ferriby United on 16 July 2012. His first Championship match for The Tigers came on 21 December 2012 at Derby County, when he played in a 2–1 victory as Hull moved into second place in the Championship table.
Rovers' previous manager, Bobby Gould, had resigned the day before, their opponents, Cardiff City, won promotion thanks to the point they earned in this 1–1 draw, it was the final professional game for former England international and FIFA World Cup winner Alan Ball, and Rovers player Aidan McCaffery required life-saving treatment from the physio after swallowing his tongue. All of these events combined left Adams's 27-minute cameo at the end of the game somewhat unnoticed. He signed a permanent contract with Bath late in May 1984 and was a regular with them for four years, scoring 22 times in 175 first team games, until being released in May 1988 by new City manager Harold Jarman. He then spent five years with Weston-super-Mare, before joining Keynsham Town in 1993.
In early February 2002, Devlin signed for Birmingham City on a month's loan, while Paul Furlong made a similar move in the other direction. Devlin's loan was extended to three months, during which he made 11 appearances, scored once, an equaliser as Birmingham came back from two goals down to draw with top-of-the-table Wolverhampton Wanderers, and helped the team finish in the play-off positions; he signed a three-year permanent contract in May. Devlin converted his kick in the penalty shoot-out in the play-off final against Norwich City by which Birmingham gained promotion to the Premier League. Devlin was sent off for violent conduct during a pre- season friendly in Scotland; because the referee reported the incident to the Football Association, he was suspended for the first three matches of the new season.
Compensation for Arsenal after their spectacular failure to retain the league title came in the form of retaining the FA Cup – the first side to do so for 21 years. Leeds United's season was plagued by a loss of form and mounting debts, and having to sell several key players, as they slipped to 15th place – their lowest finish for 10 years and a stark contrast to the previous five campaigns, where they had never finished outside the top five. Manager Terry Venables was axed towards the end of March after eight months in charge, with Peter Reid taking over for the final weeks of the season to secure survival and earn himself a permanent contract. Aston Villa's 16th-place finish was their lowest for eight years, although their strong home form ensured their survival in the Premier League.
He stated his hopes to win a permanent contract at the club, and the Port Vale coaching staff also indicated that they would look to sign Chilvers permanently, leaving the final decision on the move to be made by Notts County. He played a total of twelve matches for the "Valiants", though he was forced to leave the pitch early on the final game of his spell after he picked up a groin injury. His hopes of a more long-term move to Port Vale were ended after manager Micky Adams revealed that he did not have any money available to sign any players either permanently or on loan during the January transfer window. He did though find himself back in first team contention at Meadow Lane, particularly after Keith Curle replaced Allen as manager in mid-February.
Ahead of the 2010–11 season, Wiggins signed a two-year permanent contract with Bournemouth with the option of a third. He went straight into the starting eleven, and was a regular throughout the first half of the season. Mujangi Bia failed to break into Wolves' first team plans during the next season, making just one league appearance, as a late substitute at Manchester City. He scored his only goal for Wolves in a 5–0 FA Cup victory over Championship team Doncaster Rovers. In April 2011 it was announced that he would transfer to Standard Liège on a three-year deal once the transfer window re-opened in the summer. The winger featured for Standard throughout the 2011–12 season as the club ended in fifth place. However, in August 2012, he was told he was no longer involved in the club's plans, and on 25 August signed for English Championship club Watford on a season-long loan deal, having already agreed to a long-term permanent contract; this will commence in summer 2013 if this option is exercised by Watford.
Born in Setúbal, Edmundo spent four Primeira Liga seasons with hometown club Vitória FC, after which he signed with S.L. Benfica in 1986. Following a 1–7 away loss against Sporting CP in a Lisbon derby in December, he replaced António Oliveira and partnered Dito for the rest of the season, but lost his starting position after the arrival of Carlos Mozer. Edmundo returned to Setúbal on a loan deal in 1988 in a move involving Hernâni Neves, later joining C.F. Os Belenenses in the same situation and agreeing to a permanent contract with the latter at the end of the campaign. Having alternated between the top division and the second level in the following years, also representing C.F. Estrela da Amadora and C.D. Beja, he closed out his career at nearly 35 after a spell in the lower leagues with Grupo União Sport Montemor.
After coming through the youth system of Partizan, Trujić made his senior debut with Teleoptik in 2010. He was subsequently sent on loan to Smederevo (2011) and Hapoel Acre (2012), but failed to make an impact. In the summer of 2012, Trujić signed his first professional contract with Partizan, on a four-year deal. He was eventually loaned to Napredak for the 2012–13 season. In the summer of 2013, after the club's promotion to the top flight, Trujić signed a permanent contract with Napredak, on a three-year deal. On 5 June 2015, Trujić returned to his parent club Partizan. He penned a four-year contract and was given the number 92 shirt. On 17 July 2015, Trujić made his competitive debut for Partizan, coming on as a substitute for Andrija Živković in a 4–0 home league win over Metalac Gornji Milanovac.

In February 1977, Callaghan joined Fourth Division club Brentford until the end of the 1976–77 season, as assistant to manager Bill Dodgin Jr. His arrival coincided with the team's sharp upturn in form, which culminated in a run of just two defeats from the final 18 matches of the season, which pulled the club away from the re-election places. After Dodgin Jr. was given a "leave of absence" in March 1980, Callaghan returned to Griffin Park as caretaker manager until the end of the 1979–80 season. After some positive early results, he signed a two-year permanent contract in April 1980 and managed the Bees to an 18th- place finish, clear of the Third Division relegation places. Callaghan would go on to manage Brentford for three-and-a-half seasons and presided over an overhaul of the squad and coaching structure at Griffin Park.

Constable had a run of scoring five goals in as many matches from 28 December 2008 to 20 January 2009, which constituted four home victories for Oxford. Following this, he went seven matches without a goal, before scoring two in a 3–3 draw with Forest Green Rovers on 7 March 2009. Oxford announced he had agreed a permanent contract with the club in April 2009, although this was denied by Shrewsbury, who stated the transfer was not yet complete. He scored the winning goal for Oxford in a 1–0 victory over Wrexham on 11 April 2009 with a header in the fourth minute of stoppage time, which was described as "one of the most dramatic late goals in Oxford United's history".
After being released by Samsunspor, Bahia returned to Brazil by joining Botafogo on trial, with a view of permanent contract. Following the trial, Botafogo confirmed their interests in signing him in late–December. The move was later confirmed on 28 January 2013, as Bahia signed for the side on a one–year contract. Upon joining the club, he was presented by the side at the press conference. Then, on 9 May 2013, he signed a contract with the club, keeping him until the end of the year. Bahia made his Botafogo debut on 29 May 2013, coming on as a late substitute, in a 2–1 win over Santos. Then, on 10 August 2013, he made his first start, playing the whole game, in a 1–1 draw against Goiás. Bahia made three more starts for the side towards the end of the season.
On 21 December, Tevez started for United in the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup Final, which United won 1–0 over Ecuadorean club LDU Quito, but he was substituted in the 51st minute for Jonny Evans after Nemanja Vidić was sent off. On 10 May 2009, Tevez was reported as saying that he believed his time at Manchester United would come to an end that summer and he expressed his dissatisfaction at not having been offered a permanent contract with the club and having been dropped from the team despite, in his opinion, not having played badly. Despite this outburst, Tevez was named in Manchester United's starting 11 for the derby match against Manchester City later that day, before scoring the second of United's two goals on the stroke of half-time, which prompted chants of "Fergie, sign him up" from some of the club's fans.
Johnstone joined Conference Premier club Macclesfield Town on 27 November 2014, on a one-month loan spell, having scored 4 goals in 7 development squad matches. Johnstone made his debut as a second-half substitute in a 3–1 defeat versus Barnet on 29 November 2014 and scored his first goal on his fifth appearance, six minutes after appearing as a substitute during the 5–1 win versus Alfreton Town on 20 December 2014. Despite his loan being extended on two occasions, firstly to 7 January 2015 and then extended until the end of that season, Johnstone was recalled by Birmingham on 2 February 2015, which was the final day of the transfer window, although he was loaned out to League Two club Cheltenham Town for the remainder of the campaign. Cheltenham had wanted to secure the player on a permanent contract but Birmingham were unwilling to release him.
A year later he moved on to Stoke City for a £200,000 fee, where he scored the first League goal in Stoke's new Britannia Stadium, went on to spend three seasons with the club playing more than 100 games in all competitions. His next move was to Blackpool on a free transfer in 1999, and then to Peterborough United, also on a free, where he linked up again with former Birmingham manager Barry Fry. In October 2002, amid financial uncertainty at Peterborough, Forsyth joined Cheltenham Town on a month's loan; on his return to Peterborough, the club expected him to remain with them, but, claiming the player had been "unsettled" by Cheltenham's offer of a longer permanent contract, finally allowed him to join Cheltenham for a fee of £15,000. In January 2003 he sustained a hamstring injury which put paid to the remainder of his season.
Donaldson scored his first goal since November in the fifth of thirteen minutes of first-half stoppage time, as a result of injuries to Sheffield Wednesday's Keiren Westwood and Sam Hutchinson, but the arrival of Atdhe Nuhiu as a second-half substitute changed the game and Gary Hooper's two goals in two minutes gave the visitors a win. Rotherham United marked the arrival of Neil Warnock as manager with two sendings-off in a goalless draw at home to Birmingham. A minute's applause in memory of former Birmingham manager Freddie Goodwin, who had led the team to promotion to the First Division in 1971–72 and twice reached the semifinals of the FA Cup, preceded the visit of struggling Bolton Wanderers. Having averted an imminent winding-up order by agreeing a takeover deal, they lost 1–0 at Birmingham to a Donaldson goal set up by Diego Fabbrini, making his first start since signing a permanent contract with the club.
In the summer of 2010, Brežančić signed with Serbian SuperLiga club Metalac Gornji Milanovac. He was then loaned to Serbian First League side Bežanija in the 2011 winter transfer window. Six months later, Brežančić signed a permanent contract with Bežanija and stayed there for the next two seasons. In the summer of 2013, Brežančić was transferred to newly promoted SuperLiga club Čukarički. He made 29 league appearances and scored once in the 2013–14 campaign. In the following season, Brežančić again missed only one out of 30 league games and scored one goal, as Čukarički finished in third place. He also helped the team win the 2014–15 Serbian Cup. On 4 August 2015, Brežančić signed a three-year contract with Dutch club AZ. He made his official debut for the team in a 3–1 away league win over De Graafschap on 12 September 2015, scoring the opener early in the game.
On 2 August, in his Scottish Premiership debut, he capitalised on a Brad McKay mistake to score the opener at home against St Johnstone, in an eventual 4–3 win. Six days later, in a 2–1 success at Dundee, he netted twice in five minutes, starting with a penalty; on 19 December, against the same opponent, he received a straight red card in a goalless draw for headbutting David Wotherspoon, and manager Robbie Neilson attributed it to frustration at Scottish referees being more lenient on fouls against strikers than their Spanish counterparts. On 31 August 2016, Juanma was loaned to UCAM Murcia CF for one year, making his professional debut in the Spanish league system on 21 September when he came on as a 35th-minute substitute and scored once in a 4–0 home win over UD Almería for the Segunda División. In January 2017, however, he agreed to a permanent contract with Japanese club V-Varen Nagasaki.

Amondarain signed for Barakaldo in October 2016, moving to the same Basque region from where his grandparents had emigrated to South America at the time of the Spanish Civil War.
The 1989–90 campaign had brought Alex Ferguson his first major trophy in four seasons as manager of Manchester United, as they defeated Crystal Palace after a replay to win the FA Cup for the seventh time, equalling the record held by Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur. However, their league form had arguably been their worst since relegation 16 years earlier, as they finished 13th in the First Division, and the squad still needed a few changes before United could be seen as serious title challengers. Goalkeeper Les Sealey had received a permanent contract after a successful loan spell at Old Trafford that had begun the previous December when he joined from Luton Town, and for the 1990–91 season Ferguson chose Sealey as his first choice goalkeeper. Previous first choice goalkeeper Jim Leighton remained at the club, facing competition for second choice status from the younger Gary Walsh and Mark Bosnich.
The tournament victory helped establish Flyer as a wrestler on the rise in CMLL, but it was the aftermath of the tournament that had the biggest impact both on Flyer's career and CMLL's direction in 2018. The appearance of L.A. Park and El Hijo de L.A. Park marked a period where CMLL began to work with more "independent" wrestlers, allowing wrestlers not under permanent contract to work on CMLL shows. The biggest change was that CMLL would allow independent wrestlers to also work for their rival Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), which had not been allowed every before in the history of the company. In addition to L.A. Park and El Hijo de L.A. Park, this change in approach allowed Penta El 0M, Fénix, Cibernético (Billed as "Ciber Main Man"), El Zorro ("The Crizh") and Charly Manson ("Scharlie Rockstar") to all work for CMLL and become parts of major storylines over the summer of 2018.

On 30 May 2013, Arsenal announced they were to release 10 reserve team players, three of whom made first-team appearances for the Gunners (Conor Henderson, Jernade Meade and Sanchez Watt), along with seven other players (Bihmoutine, Reice Charles-Cook, Sead Hajrović, Neita, Philip Roberts, Rees and James Shea) who were then free to play for other teams. James Emmanuel Aggrey (born 26 October 1978) is an English former professional footballer. He was born in Hammersmith, London. Aggrey began his football career as a trainee at Chelsea On 2 July 1997 he left Chelsea to join Fulham on a free transfer as one of Micky Adams' final signings before the arrival of Kevin Keegan and Ray Wilkins. He was released in the summer of 1998 still to make his league debut. On 30 June 1998 he briefly joined Airdrie, followed by a trial at Shrewsbury Town. On 29 October 1998 he joined Torquay United, initially on a one-month contract to cover for a central defensive injury crisis. He made his debut for Torquay in the 1–1 draw with Scarborough two days later and within that initial month played well enough to earn a permanent contract, though struggled to fully establish himself with Wayne Thomas, Lee Russell and Alex Watson all ahead of him. In 2000–01, after the sale of Thomas to Stoke City, he was a first-team regular, albeit suspended every so often.
