In 1859, Hamilton came to San Jose, California, to preach at the First Presbyterian Church of San Jose.

The last Protestant pastor in Namestovo was Juraj Pixiades. Pastorage in Namestovo has been occupied by Catholic priests from 1711. During the fire that happened in the 18th century, the whole upper part of Namestovo and the roof of church were burned. Esther Clark was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick in 1895, daughter of a former alderman of that city, W. G. Clark. She graduated from Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia with an Honours degree in Economics (1916). In 1919, she was granted a pastorage from the Baptist Church (Fredericton) and accepted a posting as pastor to Grangeville, Kent County, New Brunswick. She thus became the first female pastor in the province.

The breakaway Polish National Catholic Church had established itself in Milwaukee and was attracting converts. Rhode traveled to Milwaukee and met with Archbishop Sebastian Gebhard Messmer in an attempt to defuse the tension. As a result of these discussions, Kruszka was offered the pastorage of St. Adalbert's Parish in Milwaukee which effectively ended his exile in Ripon.

In 1884, Vig was sent to the United States by the Danish American Mission, and on 20 September 1885, he was ordained a minister at Clinton, Iowa. He spent several years at Bowman's Grove, Iowa, as a minister and an instructor in the high schools. From 1885 to 1888, he was the pastor of the Lutheran church in Jacksonville, Iowa. In 1888, he was sent to the seminary at West Denmark, Wisconsin, where he taught for four years and at the same time he took a pastorage at Luck, Wisconsin.
