Ellena left Hermes in 2016, and Swiss-born chemist and perfumer Christine Nagel re-placed him as Hermes in-house perfumer. Ellena's final fragrances for Hermes were Eau de Néroli Doré and Hermèssence Muguet Porcelaine. In 2018 Ellena worked with the House of Houbigant, to recreate Essence Rare, a fragrance he had first signed in 1973, his first assignment as a young perfumer in New York. Boggie rose to major prominence in early January 2014 after the release of the music video to her debut single "Nouveau Parfum" (French for "New Perfume"). The original release was an eau de parfum concentration in two sizes, 50ml and 100ml, priced in the United States at $48 and $62 respectively. It was initially exclusive to the department store Nordstrom, and was also available in body lotion and shower gel forms. The scent had broadly successful launch. On August 14, 2012, Gaga released a 30-second trailer of the Lady Gaga Fame commercial which uses her song "Scheiße" as background music. On August 23, 2012, a day after the official launch of the fragrance at Macy's, Lady Gaga aired a second follow-up commercial. It follows the same story line and features Gaga scratching off black ooze, representing her black eau de parfum, from the male model's face. Yugoslav-born, Draghixa moved to France with her family when she was two. Boglárka Csemer (, born 30 November 1985 in Budapest, Hungary), professionally known as Boggie, is a Hungarian pop vocalist and songwriter. Globally, Boggie is best known for her 2014 hit single entitled "Nouveau Parfum" () from her self-titled debut studio album Boggie (2013). While the song went number one on Hungary's MAHASZ chart, it also found its way to two Billboard charts reaching number three on its Jazz Album Chart and number 17 on its World Music Album Chart. She represented Hungary in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Wars for Nothing".

The overwhelming fragrance of the tuberose has been distilled for use in perfumery since the 17th century, when the flower was first transported to Europe. French Queen Marie Antoinette used a perfume called Sillage de la Reine, also called Parfum de Trianon, containing tuberose, orange blossom, sandalwood, jasmine, iris and cedar. It remains a popular floral note for perfumes, either in stand-alone Tuberose fragrances or mixed floral scents, but it generally must be used in moderation because the essence is overpowering and can become sickly to the wearer.

Back at L'Haÿ, he decided to create new rose varieties for the production of perfume, which would facilitate the process of distillation. He worked on hybrids of Rosa rugosa and developed the cultivar 'Rose à parfum de L'Haÿ', among others. In all he created 27 new cultivars, primarily for rose oil production. In 1911, Gravereaux helped recreate the rose collection of Joséphine de Beauharnais at her Château de Malmaison by researching all species and cultivars available in Europe in her lifetime, and donating the 197 roses his research turned up.

Classique is described as an loagrance, a classification which is identified by the combination of a "sweet, warm, powdery base" and flowery or spicy notes. Nicky Larson et le parfum de Cupidon (; ) is a French crime comedy directed by Philippe Lacheau who also co-wrote the screenplay with Julien Arruti and Pierre Lacheau. It is an adaptation of the Japanese manga and anime series City Hunter (known as Nicky Larson in France) by Tsukasa Hojo, who agreed to the adaptation after reading the script. The film features Philippe Lacheau, Élodie Fontan, Tarek Boudali and Julien Arruti in lead roles, along with Didier Bourdon, Kamel Guenfoud, Sophie Mousel and Pamela Anderson in supporting roles. It was first released on 6 February 2019.

Francis Kurkdjian (born 14 May 1969) is a French perfumer and businessman of Armenian descent. He is famous for creating the men's fragrance Le Male for Jean Paul Gaultier in 1995, which has become one of the world's best-selling perfumes. He has since created an additional 40 fragrances for major companies worldwide, including Elie Saab Le Parfum for Elie Saab; My Burberry for Burberry; L'extase for Nina Ricci; and Narciso Rodriguez for Her for Narciso Rodriguez. Kurkdjian co-founded the luxury fragrance house Maison Francis Kurkdjian with Lebanese-French businessman and former Ernst & Young partner Marc Chaya, which has become a major niche brand in the fragrance industry.

Nalls was born July 17, 1953 in Washington, D.C.. She studied at Virginia Commonwealth University, Parsons School of Design, American University and The Corcoran College of Art and Design. In 2007, she earned her Ph.D. in the aesthetics and science of olfaction from The University of East London in the United Kingdom. She was the Visiting Artist Professor at the Institut Superieur International Du Parfum ISIPCA, Versaille, France in 1998. Nalls currently serves as an Associate Senior Researcher at SMARTLab, and is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the School of Mechanical & Materials Engineering, University College Dublin. Nalls’ work has been featured in thirty solo exhibitions, including six at galleries in New York City.

Jules Gravereaux in his rose garden in 1900 Jules Gravereaux (who made his fortune in the Bon Marché department store in Paris), purchased a large property in L'Haÿ about 8 km south of Paris in 1892 and hired the famous landscape architect and horticulturalist Édouard André to lay out a garden containing 1600 roses. The garden claims to be the first ever garden dedicated exclusively to roses. Gravereaux collected roses from all over Europe and started to create new rose varieties for the production of rose oil for perfume, which would facilitate the process of distillation. He worked on hybrids of Rosa rugosa and developed the cultivar 'Rose à parfum de L'Haÿ', among others.

Arena announced her Innocence to Understanding Tour in conjunction with the release of her Greatest Hits & Interpretations, starting in concerts Brisbane on Wednesday, 6 September 2017, and concluded in early October. The title of the tour is a telling nod to her career journey, one of only a few artists who has been able to live four decades in music. The conventional application of pure perfume (parfum extrait) in Western cultures is at pulse points, such as behind the ears, the nape of the neck, and the insides of wrists, elbows and knees, so that the pulse point will warm the perfume and release fragrance continuously. According to perfumer Sophia Grojsman behind the knees is the ideal point to apply perfume in order that the scent may rise. The modern perfume industry encourages the practice of layering fragrance so that it is released in different intensities depending upon the time of the day. Lightly scented products such as bath oil, shower gel, and body lotion are recommended for the morning; eau de toilette is suggested for the afternoon; and perfume applied to the pulse points for evening.

In 1987, the two launched a separate knitwear line and in 1989, they started designing a lingerie line and a beachwear line. Two years later, they launched their leotard line. In 1989, Dolce & Gabbana opened their first store in Japan in partnership with Kashiyama Co. They started to export their products to the United States, where they founded their own showroom in 1990. Demeter fragrances are cologne concentration (2-4% perfume oil within the carrier of alcohol), as opposed to more commonly seen fragrance formats, such as "eau de toilette" or "eau de parfum", which have a higher ratio of perfume oil to alcohol and may therefore last longer on the skin of the wearer. J. C. Bloem (in De Gids, 1929) compared the poem "Afrikaansche elegy" ("African elegy"), which opens the second section, with the work of Charles Baudelaire (esp. "Parfum Exotique"); Bloem made his comparison in an overview of new Dutch poets whose "raw, jarring, and purposely unpolished" poetry had its flaws but was a welcome change from over-stylized predecessors. Avenue de l'Opéra is a Haussmannian thoroughfare created in the Second Empire, beginning in front of the Opéra Garnier on Place de l'Opéra and ending at Palais-Royal in the first arrondissement.
