The Elk sculpture in front of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Milwaukee Lodge portrays an elk made out of zinc painted gold and brown. The elk stands erect with his head turned 10 degrees to the proper left. His front legs are straight and parallel, while his proper left hind foot is in front of his proper right leg. The sculpture's base depicts a forest floor, including a small broken tree stump on the proper left.

The tower is usually painted in dark red, except for its centenary year in 1994 when it was painted gold by abseiling painters. The Mountaineers and Catamounts first played a football game in 1932, the two teams played annually without interruption from 1946 to 2013. The trophy series began in 1976. An old moonshine jug, the Old Mountain Jug, the trophy awarded to the winner since 1976, is painted gold with Appalachian State's mascot, a Mountaineer, and Western Carolina's mascot, a Catamount, on opposing sides. Prior to the game in 1976, the idea was pitched of heightening the long-standing rivalry.

The Sri Lankan Christmas tree is the world’s tallest artificial Christmas tree. It was built on the Galle Face Green in Colombo, Sri Lanka, the tree is 72.1m (236 ft 6.58 in) tall and opened on Christmas Eve 2016. The cone-shaped tree is a steel-and-wire frame made from scrap metal and wood, and covered by plastic netting. It is decorated with approximately one million natural pine cones painted gold, green, red and silver colors.

The news set off massive celebrations in Fairbanks. Residents set off fireworks, an impromptu parade took place down Cushman Street, the city's main road, and an attempt to dye the Chena River gold in celebration instead turned it green. Shamblin is noted for being one of the earliest adopters of the Fender Stratocaster electric guitar. A demonstration model painted gold and dated 6/4/54 was given to him by Leo Fender. Shamblin played the guitar with the Texas Playboys in what became the final Bob Wills recording session for MGM Records, later taking it on the road with Bob Wills on a month and half long tour of the great Northwest. One of the most beautiful examples in France, it aims to magnify the presence of Christ in the Eucharist and in effect to form a hyper- tabernacle around the Host. Its columns are of marble, whilst the capitals are wooden but stuccoed with powdered marble, limestone and powdered chalk to imitate marble. On top of the baldachino are a globe and a cross, both in copper gilded with gold leaf, and drapery made of cloth dipped in liquid plaster and painted gold before drying.

Jeppesen Victor Martin (1930, Randers – 1993, Randers) was a Danish artist active in the Situationist International. Martin described his approach to art as "New Irrealism", which was a form of abstract expressionism which was both colourful and somewhat chaotic. He used a variety of mediums including oil, acrylic, enamel, gouache, pencil, collage and lithography, as well as mixed mediums. In 1967 he organised the Operation Playtime exhibition in Aarhus, which consisted of a series of "anti-paintings" in which the situationist represented by an armada of toy ships painted gold came to conquer the world with play and revolutionary theory.

However, the ship was commandeered for service in World War I, so the statue remained in the ship's hold for the remainder of the war travelling back and forth across the Atlantic Ocean. The statue finally landed in Halifax, Nova Scotia and was shipped by train to Winnipeg where it was placed atop the Legislative Building on November 21, 1919. In the 1940s the bronze statue was painted gold, before its first gilding with twenty-four carat gold in 1951. In 1966, the government of the Province of Manitoba had an electric lamp installed into the torch of the statue.

The statue of the Unknown Soldier resembles the physical features of Sam Nujoma, Namibia's founding president and ultimately the initiator of its erection. In May 2005, a report in The Namibian noted that Heroes Acre was "already showing signs of decay". In particular, a bronze statue of a soldier had suffered damage, as had the plinth on which it stood. Some of the gold-coloured letters forming an inscription on the plinth were broken or missing, and the letters were "made of a cement-like substance, which had been painted gold and then glued to the plinth".

Monument to the War of 1812 is a monument in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The sculpture is situated in the CityPlace neighbourhood of the city, adjacent to Fort York, and was created by the Canadian artist and novelist Douglas Coupland to commemorate the successful defence of British North America's against American forces in the War of 1812. It was unveiled in November 2008 and currently stands at the intersection of Bathurst Street and Lake Shore Boulevard. The standing soldier is painted gold and depicts a member of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment Fencible Infantry; whereas the fallen is painted silver and depicts an American soldier from the 16th U.S. Infantry Regiment.

The Nauset School Committee voted to get rid of the Native American logo representing the "Warrior" but will keep the name "Warrior" as the official mascot. The original mascot depicted a Native American man viewed from the side with Black & Gold war paint on his face, and a feather head-dress on his head, very similar to the Washington Redskins Native American logo. The logo for the school is now a block "N" with one half of the "N" painted black, and the other half painted gold. The Pagoda In the southeast corner of Kew Gardens stands the Great Pagoda (by Sir William Chambers), erected in 1762, from a design in imitation of the Chinese Ta. The lowest of the ten octagonal storeys is in diameter. From the base to the highest point is . Each storey finishes with a projecting roof, after the Chinese manner, originally covered with ceramic tiles and adorned with large dragons; a story is still propagated that they were made of gold and were reputedly sold by George IV to settle his debts. In fact the dragons were made of wood painted gold, and simply rotted away with the ravages of time.

The timing side of 1937 Speed Twin engine Edward Turner’s Triumph twin was a major turning point for the British motorcycle industry, as although a 500 cc parallel twin of medium capacity was not revolutionary, the 5T Speed Twin model was lighter than many contemporary singles with significantly more power and torque. Early models were only available in 'Amaranth red' with hand painted gold pinstripes to set off the chrome. Initially the one piece iron cylinder was secured with six studs which led to weakness, so these were replaced by eight studs. The two cylinders were fed by a single Amal Type 6 carburettor and many features such as the transmission and clutch were straight from the Triumph single.

Born in Petaluma, California, frontman Ben Morrison along with his brother, Alex Morrison began playing guitar and singing songs at age 12, taking a liking to Rock and Roll. BBC DVD, 2 Entertain, 2009 Wanda Ventham, playing Thea, had previously appeared in The Faceless Ones, and would subsequently appear in Time and the Rani, her three appearances were each ten years apart: 1967, 1977 and 1987. Ventham had in fact auditioned for the James Bond film Goldfinger, but lost out to Shirley Eaton and therefore was excited to be painted gold in this serial, as would have been the case in Goldfinger. She also had to wear a dark wig as the human Thea, as Spenton-Foster thought that her natural blonde hair would lose credibility as a scientist. Denis Lill, cast as Fendleman was the production team's second choice after actor Anthony Bate became unavailable.

In this lion dance the lion with a large but comic lion mask and brown costume may be performed together with performers wearing other masks. The dancers may be accompanied by musicians playing a double-headed drum, an hourglass-shaped drum, a large gong, and a six-holed bamboo flute. The dance was originally performed every night of the first fifteen nights of the Lunar New Year, where the dance troupe in lion masks and costumes visited every house in the villages of the Bukcheong region, and the lion dance is meant to expel evil spirits and attract good luck for the coming year. The eyes of the lion mask may be painted gold to expel negative spirits.

That same year, Evans was cast in a Wet 'n Wild cosmetics commercial shot by director David La Chapelle titled "Steal the Look", in addition to landing two national ads for Mary Kay Cosmetics which aired during the premiere of the thirteenth season of Project Runway on Lifetime in November 2014. In 2015 Evans appeared in another music video, this time for the band Muse and their single, "Mercy". The video was directed by Sing J Lee and was released in June.

Due to the existence of an "A Mountain" for the University of Arizona (Sentinel Peak) which predates the "A" on Tempe Butte, students from these rival schools often attempt to paint the other's 'A' in their school colors. Guarding the A is an annual ritual in the week leading up to the annual ASU-UA football game, the Territorial Cup. The A has been painted in other colors for various causes, and is painted white at the beginning of each school year, but is usually painted Gold, one of ASU's school colors. Most recently, UA students painted the A red and blue in November 2014, three weeks prior to their rivalry game.

The third disc, subtitled Singles, B-Sides & Remixes, contains their debut single, "C·30 C·60 C·90 Go" (1980), all eight tracks from the Your Cassette Pet mini-album (1980), and other singles and tracks recorded for EMI Records prior to their move to RCA Records. The cover of the sleeve for this disc is a nude image of lead singer Annabella Lwin painted gold taken by Jim Varriale, previously used for the cover of the 1982 RCA compilation album I Want Candy. The cover of the actual box set is a play on the cover of Your Cassette Pet, with an old promo photo of Lwin added. It was issued in a clamshell case, and contains liner notes written by Lois Wilson of Mojo.

The jauntily placed cone has come to represent, particularly in tourist guidebooks, the city's light-hearted attitude to authority. Two exceptions were on the occasion of Glasgow hosting the 2002 UEFA Champions League final, when the cone was replaced by a football-patterned hat bearing the logo of one of the tournament sponsors, Amstel, and in June 2010, on the run-up to the opening of hotel chain citizenM in Glasgow, when the cone was replaced with a 'feel free' branded glitter cone. Around the time of the Independence Referendum, a saltire was attached to the cone. The cone was painted gold during the 2012 Olympic games as a celebration of the record haul of gold medals won by Team GB.

Local telephone network provider, KC, have also commemorated the win by painting one of their telephone boxes, near to St Paul's Boxing Club, gold.

A post box outside the National Spinal Injuries Centre in Stoke Mandeville was painted gold in honour of the village's role in the history of the Paralympic movement. In August 2009, Royal Mail unveiled a series of 30 stamps (reflecting the 30th Olympiad) in honour of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, released in batches of ten between 2009 and July 2011. Each stamp featured an Olympic or Paralympic sport and the London 2012 logo. As it had done during the Olympics, Royal Mail honoured Britain's Paralympic gold medallists by painting a post box gold in each of their home towns (along with an additional post box outside the National Spinal Injuries Centre in Stoke Mandeville, in honour of its role in the Games' history), and featured them on commemorative stamps released throughout the Games.

From the fictive columns that separate the different scenes on the walls (capped with real stone corbels), rise illusionistic ribs embossed with scroll work that divides the ceiling into sections. In the corbeled sections between the vaults are illusionistic relief cravings from the lives of Arion, Orpheus, and Hercules set in painted gold mosaic that harken back to antiquity. Above them are the first eight Roman emperors in medallions held aloft by putti, all depicted in grisaille on gold lite from below in order to achieve the effect of real stucco reliefs. The implied connection between the glory of Italy's Roman past and the Gonzaga's Mantua through the classical references of the ceiling, ennobles the Gonzaga as both a military and learned might that is comparable to the Roman Empire.

An U23 World Champion in the women's lightweight single sculls, in 2012, she was selected to represent Great Britain in the 2012 London Olympics in the Women's lightweight double sculls with Sophie Hosking, winning the gold medal, during the so-called "Super Saturday". Kathrine, being bought up in Ingleby Barwick and as a part of the 2012 Summer Olympics and Paralympics gold post boxes commemoration, a red post box The Rings village of Ingleby Barwick was painted gold with a plaque saying about the gold medal win. Following her Olympic partner Hosking's retirements in 2012, Copeland partnered with Imogen Walsh in the lightweight double sculls, winning European bronze in 2014. Copeland went on to partner Charlotte Taylor, winning silver at the 2015 World Rowing Championships and gold at the 2015 European Rowing Championships.

Nolan also appeared in one of the first episodes of the television spy thriller The Saint with Roger Moore. In 1964, Nolan played the role of Dink, Bond's masseuse, in the James Bond film Goldfinger. She was also painted gold and wore a gold bikini for Robert Brownjohn's title-sequence, advertisements and soundtrack-cover (not Shirley Eaton as in the narrative of the film). This led to photographs in Playboy magazine's James Bond's Girls edition of November 1965. In the 1971 film Carry On at Your Convenience, composer Eric Rogers referenced Nolan's Goldfinger affiliation by using its three-note motif on a close-up of her. Nolan appeared on the front cover of both the US and UK versions of the 2005 book Robert Brownjohn: Sex and Typography.

The Trans Am's basic layout was very similar to the earlier 1983 Trans Am, except they were now available with the optional RPO W62 ground effects package, previously used on the 1983 Daytona Pace Car Edition. Another new for 1984 option was the "High- Tech" 15-inch, 20-slot, concave aluminum wheels, painted Gold or Silver, with Black plastic centercaps containing a Gold or Silver Firebird logo. The only drivetrain changes made for the 1984 model year were the deletion of the Trans Am only EFI Crossfire 305, a hydraulic clutch was now used on the T-5 Borg- Warner 5-speed transmission, and on L69 equipped cars, a lightweight flywheel and an aluminum belhousing were employed. L69 equipped Trans Ams also received an 8000 RPM tachometer, an 80 PSI oil pressure gauge, a high output single electric fan, a functional cold-air induction hood, a higher output mechanical fuel pump, and a secondary electric fuel pump to help prevent vapor lock.

Golden Demon USA 2020/21 The competition is named for the first prize trophy in each category, the Golden Demon. The Golden Demon trophy itself is a small statue of a horned demon painted gold, posed with its arms crossed over its chest (in a manner somewhat reminiscent of the Oscar). Silver and Bronze Demon trophies are given for second and third places, respectively in each category. At the end of the award ceremony, the Slayer Sword is awarded for the best painted miniature in the competition. This is a 5” tall broadsword that the winner is asked to pick up with a chainmail glove. An honours board of Slayer Sword winners is maintained at Games Workshop’s Warhammer World exhibition centre in Nottingham. The competition’s judges are selected from Games Workshop’s studio staff and ‘Eavy Metal painting team members. They judge the entries on “technical skill, atmosphere, consistency in quality, and narrative”.

For the National Air Races at Los Angeles in July 1933, Turner entered his Model 44 (NR61Y, race number 2), fitted with an 800 hp Pratt & Whitney R-1340 Wasp, painted in a combined Gilmore and 20th Century Fox Pictures scheme. On July 1, 1933, he flew in the Bendix Trophy race from New York to Los Angeles, gaining first place, ahead of Jimmy Wedell in his Model 44 (NR278V, race number 44). Turner's time was 11:30 hours, that also broke his own east–west transcontinental airspeed record. Wedell went on to win the Thompson Trophy circuit race, despite finishing behind Turner, who was disqualified after a pylon rules infringement. In 1933 Turner upgraded his Model 44 again with a 1000 hp supercharged Pratt & Whitney R-1690 Hornet engine, painted gold overall, and sponsored by Heinz and Macmillan Ring-Free Motor Oil. On September 2, 1933, he flew it from Los Angeles to New York in 10:04:30 hours, to break the west–east transcontinental airspeed record, to accompany his existing east to west record.

1969 Hurst/Olds The Hurst/Olds returned for the 1969 model year. The biggest change was the switch from the silver and black paint scheme of '68 to a new Firefrost gold on white paint scheme. This would be the primary paint scheme for many Hurst/Olds models of later years. Instead of the dual ram air scoops under the front bumper that was used in '68 and other ram air '69s, the H/O received a functional "mailbox" fiberglass hood scoop with H/O 455 on each side. A spoiler was mounted on the trunk and the car sat on unique 15x7 chrome SSII rims with Goodyear F60x15 Polyglas tires. The exterior was finished off with a pair of English racing mirrors, H/O emblems on the front fenders and deck lid, blacked out 442 grilles, and black hand-applied pinstripes. All of the '68 and '69 H/Os were pinstriped by one person. Interior modifications included a different wood veneer on the mini-console, painted gold stripes on the headrests, and a Hurst/Olds emblem on the glove-box door.
