Alonso Duralde of The Wrap gave the film a positive review, saying "Fans of Tim Burton 1.0, rejoice: Frankenweenie hearkens back to the director's salad days and, in turn, to the old-school horror classics that inspired him in the first place." Claudia Puig of USA Today gave the film three and a half stars out of five, saying "Frankenweenie is enlivened with beguiling visuals and captivating action sequences. The science is murky at best, but the underlying themes are profound, and the story is equal parts funny and poignant.

The group features singer and songwriter, Charles Maven (synthesizer, keyboard), Robzie Trulove (drums, percussion), Jay (guitar) and Joey Garcia (bass guitar). They say the name, RadaR, hearkens to actual Radars and how they function, stating that "people send frequencies into the world through every action they take and thought they have, leading to finding and being found by others on the same wavelength". With the release of their first single, "Give Up on the Now" in May 2015, the band quickly began to garner traction, with over 15,000 views in weeks, hitting local Maryland radio stations including, 98 Rock, and various festivals, namely Baltimore's large Pride parade (opening for Crystal Waters and CeCe Peniston) and DC's Art All Night Event Jim Kaponey of the Chicagoist said of them, "it's just this sort of unexpected, totally under the radar (no pun intended) gem that makes music writing so rewarding..." in his blog. New York's The Deli Magazine Performer Mag and Chicago's Faronheit among others have been covering RadaR.

The station was originally called University Radio Essex (URE), and was founded in 1971, making it one of the first student radio stations in the UK. It was broadcast on 998 kHz (301 metres) using a "leaky cable" system which ran through ducting in the 'six towers' of student residences and was designed to ensure it could not be heard off-campus. The frequency changed to 999 kHz with the realignment of medium wave broadcasting to 9 kHz spacing, and in the 1980s it moved to 963 kHz (312 metres). Unfortunately not long after, [Radio Caroline] re-appeared, broadcasting on the same wavelength from the Thames Estuary and URE was forced to move back to 999. It was renamed "RED AM 1404" in 2001 (by the station committee), renamed to "RED - 1404 AM" in 2007, and simplified to RED Radio in 2008, when it stopped transmitting in AM. The station originally had three studios, and in 1998 transmitted on FM for a month, this number was reduced to two in 2004, and then to only one, renovated in 2007.

Starting from the study of Italian and European Marxism (Marxism and Revisionism in Italy, 1971; Austro-Marxism and left wing Socialism between the two Wars, 1977), Marramao has analysed the political categories of modernity suggesting – on the same wavelength as the Frankfurt School (The political and its transformations, 1979) and Max Weber (The disenchanted order, 1985)– an innovative symbolic-genealogical reconstruction of them. According to this view, which recovers Karl Löwith's historical- philosophical hypothesis, in modern forms of social organizations there are settled meanings deriving from a process of secularization of religious contents – that is, the re-proposal of the Christian symbolic horizon inside a worldly dimension. In particular, secularization finds its centre in a process of "temporalization of history" thanks to which the categories of time (that translate Christian eschatology into a generic opening to the future: progress, revolution, liberation, etc.) gain an increasing centrality in the political representations of Modernity. Based on these reflections, also exposed in After the Leviathan, 1995 (third edition in 2013) and The Passion of the Present, 2008, a clear thematization of the philosophical problem of time has grown up.
