In September 2014, speakers of various languages of Africa were the third largest non-Anglophone group of language speakers in Baltimore, after Hispanophones and Francophones. The program was formerly a Dutch-American radio program, produced by Radio Netherlands Worldwide in conjunction with WAMU-FM in Washington, DC. It was syndicated through National Public Radio, and was the first radio program produced in a non-anglophone country ever to gain network distribution on English-language radio in the United States. It was also carried on CBC Radio One in Canada and ABC Radio National in Australia. The radio version of the show ended on Radio Netherlands Worldwide on 28 September 2012, due to cutbacks in public expenditure. The show was relaunched as a podcast format in November 2013 but subsequently stopped being carried by WBEZ.

On September 20–21, the 100 Club Punk Festival in London featured the four primary British groups (London's big three and Buzzcocks), as well as Paris's female-fronted Stinky Toys, arguably the first punk rock band from a non-Anglophone country. Siouxsie and the Banshees and Subway Sect debuted on the festival's first night; that same evening, Eater debuted in Manchester.

The authors' editor is an optional figure in the publishing process. Authors are more likely to hire an authors' editor when they are not fluent in the language in which they wish to publish: this is particularly the case for non- anglophone academics and scientists who publish their research in English for international communication. Another reason for working with an authors' editor regards the author's writing skills, as some scientists and clinicians may face difficulties composing an adequate text in a reasonable amount of time despite being excellent researchers. Skilled writers will not need to hire such an editor, instead finding sufficient the feedback of colleagues (prior to submitting a manuscript) and peer reviewers (after submission).

In Australia, Australian English is the de facto national language and most immigrants to Australia are expected to be proficient in the language. Unlike in the United States, for example, there aren't many large non-Anglophone ethnic enclaves in Australia, since Australian history has been heavily dominated by British colonialism. Multiculturalism in Australia is a fairly recent phenomenon that was intentionally encouraged by successive Australian governments as part of the country's rapidly changing foreign policy and ethnic policy following the conclusion of World War II (1939–1945). Taiwanese immigrants to Australia can usually speak their native Taiwanese languages, including Taiwanese Mandarin, Taiwanese Hokkien, Taiwanese Hakka, and various other Taiwanese languages (such as the Taiwanese indigenous languages).

In some instances, two sets would be taken on a given day - one exclusive to the venue, and one that was marketed to the general public through supply lists included with each new set. The exact number of series released is unknown, though it is known to be in excess of 300 10-card sets over the 5-year lifespan of the company. Although most of the stereoviews produces by the company focused on Great Britain, or at least intended for UK viewers, there is evidence that some VistaScreen sets were printed in other languages and sold in non-Anglophone markets. Later, VistaScreen was also featured in a Weetabix breakfast cereal promotion with red branded viewers.

Best of Bee Gees Volume 2 is a compilation album of hits by the Bee Gees released in 1973. The album, briefly revived on CD in the late 1980s, went out of print, but was reissued by Rhino in November 2008. Whereas the original Best of Bee Gees had focused on songs that had been major hits for the group in America and/or the United Kingdom up to 1969, this follow-up collection featured two cuts from each of the four studio albums released subsequent to the first compilation, all of which, barring Man For All Seasons, had been single A-sides, along with the soundtrack contribution Morning of My Life, Robin Gibb's solo hit Saved by the Bell and the single only hit My World. The album also featured one song each from their early albums Horizontal, Idea and Odessa all of which had charted as singles in non-Anglophone territories.

They collaborated on a series of anthology projects and did much in the 1970s to raise the standards of criticism in the field, including institution of the John W. Campbell Memorial Award for Best Science Fiction Novel. Priest wrote, "In 1965 Harrison and Aldiss published the first issue (of two) of the world's first serious journal of SF criticism, SF Horizons. Together they edited many anthologies of short stories, each one illustrating the major themes of SF, and although not intended as critical apparatus the books were a way of delineating the unique material of the fantastic. As committed internationalists, the two men created World SF, an organisation of professionals intended to encourage and enhance the writing of non-anglophone SF."
