A clinical examination - the OSCE is designed to apply clinical and theoretical knowledge. Where theoretical knowledge is required, for example, answering questions from the examiner at the end of the station, then the questions are standardized and the candidate is only asked questions that are on the mark sheet and if the candidate is asked any others then there will be no marks for them.

Moreover, in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Soviet internal passports, accompanied with a special leaflet, were valid for traveling to most Comecon countries and Yugoslavia as a member of a touristic group. The leaflet functioned as an equivalent of exit visa stamped in international passports; destination countries did not require entry visas at that time.

Philo Vance receives an anonymous letter alerting him to the possibility that violence will soon be done within a well-known family, and the letter also suggests that something of interest will take place that night at the casino. Vance attends, and witnesses the collapse of the son and heir to the family fortune, a heavy gambler, due to his having been poisoned—immediately after he drinks a glass of water from the casino manager's private decanter. At approximately the same time, across town, the son's wife, a former Broadway musical star, dies from poison. The curious factor is that the medical examiner cannot identify the way in which the poison was administered to the wife, except to say that no traces were found in the stomach (and no marks of a hypodermic are found).

He found a few bones he regarded as non-human and described a chalk cap covering core of dark earth within the barrow. The practice of torture used as the oppression against political opponents or could be a part of a criminal investigation or interrogation techniques in order to obtain the desired information and keep law enforcement empowered over everyday citizens. The modern concept of torture methods that leave no physical evidence is noted in 1995 by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders DSM-IV within the changing definition of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD.

The discovery galvanized the country, which for decades had conducted searches for his aircraft and speculated on Saint-Exupéry's fate. After a two-year delay imposed by the French government, the remnants of the aircraft were recovered in October 2003. A piece of the landing gear of Saint-Exupéry's P-38 Lightning, recovered from the Mediterranean off the coast of France in 2003, displayed at the French Air and Space Museum On 7 April 2004, Patrick Granjean, head of the French Ministry of Culture, Captain Frederic Solano of the French Air Force, plus investigators from the French Underwater Archaeological Department confirmed that the remnants of the crash wreckage were, indeed, from Saint- Exupéry's Lockheed F-5B. No marks or holes attributable to gunfire were found; however, that was not considered significant as only a small portion of the aircraft was recovered.

The first ten questions were worth three marks each, the next ten four marks each, and the last ten five marks each. Students were deducted a quarter of the marks for a given question if they answered incorrectly, so that a student randomly guessing the answers would gain no numerical benefit (on statistical average). Students started with 30 marks, so that a student who answered all questions incorrectly would record a total score of zero, while one who answered all questions correctly would record a score of 150. In 2002, the format was changed so that no penalties were incurred for incorrect answers to the first twenty questions, and for each of the last ten questions, a correct answer gave eight marks, no answer gave three marks, and no marks were given for an incorrect answer; the total score remained the same at 150. In 2005, the format was changed once more.

Satish and Savitri share a strange relationship where none dares to express their feelings to each other and this act of hide- and-seek, this element of mist in their relationship creates a devastating counter-effect when both of them are blamed of being characterless, forcing Savitri to leave Kolkata and take refuge in Varanasi. Losing Savitri, Satish suffers intolerable pain and though his physique shows no marks of injury his heart knew no peace. At this point Kiranmayi and Sarojini enter his life, the former as an influential sister-in-law ("bouthan(বৌঠান)") and the later as a character who fall deeply in love with him. The relationship of Satish and Sarojini is filled with ambiguity as both of them at some point of the story feel either attracted or repelled from each other as the story unfolds and even in the end it still becomes no clear as to whether he marries Sarojini or not, though Upendra in his deathbed advocates for the very same.
