"Hippie Bitch Gets Laid," in Naughty Bits #6, was nominated for Best Short Story in the 1993 Eisners. That same year, Gregory was nominated for the Best Writer and Best Writer/Artist Eisner Awards. Naughty Bits #6-8, the "Abortion Trilogy", was nominated for a 1994 Eisner for Best Serialized Story, and Gregory was again nominated in the Best Writer/Artist category.

She meets Ah-kun who gives her the power to transform into the magical hero Pastel Ink; using a pink flip phone, her "magical girl transformation" uses ribbons to censor the "naughty bits". He has also been described as "one of the worst vocalists ever to have the gall to step in front of a mic, his voice falling somewhere between Neil Young after a swift boot to the naughty bits and the dying screech of a depleted air horn". His career in creative antagonism began at the University of Arizona where Fish worked with a student run comedy troupe. An early incarnation of Owen's stage persona featured Karma garbed in elf shoes and a full-length burlap gown (purchased at a Tucson thrift store) festooned with bottle caps.

Following the success of Flare Path he has appeared as Michael Palin in the premiere of Steve Thompson's No Naughty Bits at the Hampstead Theatre, as Marlow in Jamie Lloyd's production of She Stoops to Conquer at the National Theatre, as Alsamero in the Young Vic's iconic production of The Changeling, and as Phillip in the hit revival of Alexi Kaye Campbell's The Pride at the Trafalgar Studios. Hadden-Paton made his Broadway debut playing Henry Higgins in a revival of My Fair Lady, for which he received a Tony Award nomination. In 2021, Hadden-Paton will originate a leading role in the new musical Flying Over Sunset, directed by James Lapine. The production will begin in early 2021 at Lincoln Center Theater.

The band was known for its volume and energy and exiting live show. The group made use of occasional costumes and theatrics customary of the glam rock trends of the time. They played gigs when available in the Detroit metro area, and were even touted by influential writer Lester Bangs in a piece for Creem magazine and in another piece that appeared in Creem in September 1976 Air-Wreck Genheimer said of the grup: "The Punks played in such a gut grabbing manner that your ear bones feel like they're getting socked in the jaw and cunnilinguisized at the same time". According to Richard Blondy, their former manager and booking agent, "Their music was so intense and so strong, and their stage show was so exciting. It’s just like the guy said about (the Naughty Bits) on ‘Vinyl’--they smack you in the face and they get your attention".
