That year he was also a member of the winning U18s Academy Grand Final Side that played against St. Helens. In 2005, Shenton was establishing himself as a first team regular in the squad as a winger. As the season went on, Shenton moved into the centre of the side at the time.

The Ata-Meken Socialist Party (; sometimes shortened to simply Ata-Meken, ) is a political party in Kyrgyzstan. Its current Chairman and founder is Omurbek Tekebayev, who is a former speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament. The party was registered on December 16, 1992 following a split between Tekebayev (as well as more moderate party members) and the conservative Erkin Kyrgyzstan party. Ata-Meken eventually moved into the centre-left of the political spectrum.

He began his career as a rover and half forward flanker before he moved into the centre during the 1939 season. In 2014, the race was moved to a circuit around Victoria Drive and the River Torrens, north of the University of Adelaide. In 2017, it moved slightly south from Rymill Park to King Rodney Park/Ityamai-itpina before returning to its traditional configuration in 2019. In 2020, it moved into the centre of Adelaide racing through main boulevards including Wakefield Street, Flinders Street and Victoria Square.

The 2004–05 season was slightly hit and miss, with Brew only making 17 appearances and scoring just two tries before an injury to his groin (which seemed to be pretty common amongst the Welsh squad during this period with such players as Shane Williams and Barry Davies having similar operations) in March which ruled him out for the rest of the season. Brew returned to the Dragons side just before Christmas 2005 in good form; he scored four tries in the 12 appearances he made that season and earned himself a late call-up to the Welsh squad for their tour of Argentina. After being deployed mainly as a winger for the majority of his Dragons career, Brew moved into the centre for most of the 2006–07 season where he demonstrated perhaps that this was his best position. It was his ability to create space from the centre that helped Brew scored all of his five tries that season, as well as landing one drop goal in an EDF Energy Cup match against the Northampton Saints.
