He then programmed the Mousers to find and destroy Splinter, the mutant rat who was the Turtles' master. The Mousers were destroyed by the TMNT, and they found Stockman's name on the devices. The Turtles and Splinter found Stockman with April O'Neil's help, and he told them his part of the story. They then proceeded to take Stockman's van, later to become the Turtle Van.

Stockman revealed he had been using the Mousers to rob banks, not because of the money (he could use his invention to make millions legally), but because "it was FUN!" April tried to escape through the elevator, but the scientist sent the elevator to sewer level. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles saved her from the Mousers that Stockman had sent to kill April. They then successfully infiltrated Stockman's lab to stop him.

In the more lighthearted original TMNT animated series and the Archie comics, Stockman (voiced by Pat Fraley) was a misguided Caucasian inventor (as opposed to an African American, as portrayed in the rest of the franchise) who tried to bill his Mousers to the Ajax Pest Control company. They did not like his suggestion, saying it would put them out of business (the Mouser was too effective and there would soon be no more rats to kill), and threw him out of the building The Shredder had watched this via his cameras, and offered Stockman a job. Embittered, the scientist promptly accepted, and Shredder ordered him to create a "master control device" for the Mousers. The Shredder, not being able to wait, used a replication device at the Technodrome to assemble twelve Mousers.

Baxter Stockman is a mad scientist and human enemy of the Ninja Turtles, becoming employed by Shredder in most incarnations. After creating the MOUSERS, with April O'Neil as his computer programmer, Stockman used them to commit strange bank robberies by allowing them to dig small tunnels leading into the vaults. April found out and tried to escape through the MOUSER factory elevator, but Stockman sent the elevator (with her still in it) down to the sewer level, where a squadron of MOUSERS were waiting to capture her. The Ninja Turtles saved her and successfully infiltrated the factory, stopping Stockman and leaving him in police custody.

But when they interfered with the Foot Clan's new plan to kill the Turtles, he was captured by Dogpound and brought before Shredder, who forced him to join the Foot Clan, believing his genius to be a useful asset. India, also known as Willie, was a cat owned by George W. Bush and Laura Bush who lived with them at the White House. Trim sailed with Matthew Flinders as he mapped the coastline of Australia between 1801 and 1803.

The museum was opened in 1984 and contains many articles from this battle as well as some from the Cristero War. Inside are clothing and uniforms, arms such as shotguns, mousers and cannons, historic maps of Zacatecas and newspaper and photographs from the era. However, the Turtles destroyed these MOUSERS and found Stockman's name on one of them, thus leading them to confront him and escape in his van (which later became the Turtle Van). Following various incidents made by the Turtles during his service in the Foot that all ended with him getting abused by Shredder, Stockman was tasked to accompany Bebop and Rocksteady through an unstable portal to Dimension X to meet with Krang. Krang saw no use in his scientific expertise and decided to kill him by tossing him into a mutagen-powered disintegration chamber, which instead mutated Stockman into a mutant housefly due to letting a housefly land on his clothes and get tossed into the unit with him.

Ted Smith from Allgame was disappointed with introductory voiceovers, while Stephen Poole from GameSpot noted that "the AI for friendly units can be a little dicey and that Control can be a bit of a problem for mousers" but concluded that Ninety percent of the reason he mentioned any game flaws in his review is because that is his job not because they bothered him much when he was playing.

Later in the issue, Donatello states that he is "familiar with some computer systems" and helps April O'Neil deactivate the Mousers. During the turtles' exile to Northampton, Donatello becomes obsessed with fixing up and repairing the many broken things within the farmhouse they were living in. Most notably he spent days and nights fixing the boiler to give his family hot running water and builds a windmill and a water wheel to provide electricity. He also finds an old typewriter and writes his own personal credo.

Leonardo surrounded by Mousers in the sewer Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a single-player action game. The player starts the game as Leonardo, but can switch to any of the other Turtles at any time by pressing the Start button to access the information screen. The information screen shows each Turtle's health, whatever special weapon he has obtained, a map grid of the current area, and messages from either Splinter or April. Each turtle's unique primary weapon has different speed, power and reach.

Norse legends refer to the skogkatt as a "mountain-dwelling fairy cat with an ability to climb sheer rock faces that other cats could not manage." Since the Norwegian Forest cat is a very adept climber, author Claire Bessant believes that the skogkatt folktale could be about the ancestor of the modern Norwegian Forest breed. The name Norse skogkatt is used by some breeder and fancier organisations for the modern breed. Most likely the ancestors of the Norwegian Forest cat served as ships' cats (mousers) on Viking ships.

Eighteenth century folk art, Cat of Kazan Cats have been considered good luck in Russia for centuries. Owning a cat, and especially letting one into a new house before the humans move in, is said to bring good fortune. Many cats have guarded the Hermitage Museum/Winter Palace continually, since Empress Elizabeth's reign, when she was presented by the city of Kazan in Tatarstan five of their best mousers to control the palace's rodent problem. They lived pampered lives and even had special servants until the October Revolution, after which they were cared for by volunteers.

The season primarily focuses on the Turtles slowly coming into conflict with the Foot Clan. After their lair is destroyed by Baxter Stockman's mousers, they find a new home elsewhere in the sewers and also gain new allies in the form of April O'Neil and Casey Jones. The Turtles foil the plans of the Shredder, Hun, and Stockman on numerous occasions before Shredder offers Leonardo a peace offering in exchange for their service, citing an unknown evil they must face together. Splinter reveals the Shredder and Hun's hand in murdering his master Hamato Yoshi, and the two sides come to blows in a battle that seemingly ends in the Shredder's defeat.

April Harriet O'Neil is a plucky, confident, clever, strong-willed, outgoing human companion of the Ninja Turtles, who she met when they saved her from a squadron of MOUSERS chasing her down the sewers. She embarked on many of the Turtles' adventures and aids them by doing the work in public while the Turtles cannot. In the 1987 cartoon, April (voiced by Renae Jacobs) is a television news reporter broadcasting on crime in the city. When Shredder saw that she was getting to know too much about the Foot Clan, he sent Bebop and Rocksteady's gang to chase her down the sewers, where she was saved by the Turtles and thus became an ally to them.

In "Serpent Hunt," he used this mutagen supply to assist Shredder with the mutations of Bebop and Rocksteady. He would oversee the Shredder's ongoing project to develop a serum that would grant the Shredder control over the subject's mind, as seen in "Casey Jones Vs. the Underworld", "The Noxious Avenger", and "Clash of the Mutanimals." After making a cameo as the referee of Fishface's underground race in "Meet Mondo Gecko", Stockman succeeds in returning Karai to a human form by the time of "The Deadly Venom", having perfected the mind control serum worms. Stockman would later hack into the Turtles' T-phones and loan Karai his Mousers during her gambit to kill Splinter in "The Fourfold Trap".

He saw the opportunity to do so one night when trying to use a poor-built suit of armor to break into the TCRI building, but the Ninja Turtles stopped him. However, Stockman was able to acquire Donatello's T-Pod from Michelangelo, which he incorporated into the armor and caused it to upgrade itself. Although the process made him an even more deadly opponent, he was defeated when Michelangelo threw a beehive in his face and Raphael tossed him once again into the dumpster. Sometime later, he was shown to have created the MOUSERS to steal electronics, but when they interfered with the Foot Clan's new plan to kill the Turtles, Stockman was brought before Shredder and his life was eventually spared in exchange for his services.

The EPF are contacted by the Turtles, who convince them to ally with the Justice Force, the Purple Dragons, and the Foot against the demon threat. Stockman takes part in the massive battle, and later when charged with defending Karai alongside Chaplin (much to his displeasure), he is damaged by the Tengu Shredder's dragon form, but ultimately survives the battle and is retrieved by Bishop. Stockman served the EPF for the next fifty years, but during an effort to clone an army of organic Mousers, Stockman is trapped and seemingly killed in the wreckage of the destroyed lab. However, he survives this, but develops a vendetta for his former employer when Bishop never returns to search for him, believing him to be deceased.

Stockman engineers a new batch of organic Mousers who bring Bishop to him in the year 2105, and attempts to take his body for his own, but the Turtles, who time- traveled to the future, are able to convince him to let go and reform, since Bishop has mended his ways in the years since the laboratory's destruction. Stockman enters a new partnership with Bishop, and is promised to get a new human body in the near future. In the final season, set a year after the fifth season, Stockman is not shown to be explicitly working with Bishop, instead offering his services to his old ally and enemy Hun. New York City is at war again, this time between the Foot and the Purple Dragons; Hun and Stockman are on the side of the latter.

By coincidence, Jaune Tom displays his incredible mouse-hunting skills in front of Meowrice (known as "Virtue-Mousety"), who sees a money-making opportunity, gets them drunk ("Bubbles"), and sells them as mousers to a ship bound for Alaska. On the ship, Robespierre consoles a depressed Jaune Tom, telling him that any problem, regardless of size, can be broken up into manageable pieces, by remarking that even the mighty ocean is made up of little drops of water. Jaune Tom has a vision of Mewsette singing about how no problem is unconquerable, and the importance of never giving up ("Little Drops of Rain"). Mewsette finishes her training and is now lovely enough to impress even Meowrice, who commissions a series of paintings of her by such famous artists as Claude Monet, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Georges Seurat, Henri Rousseau, Amedeo Modigliani, Vincent van Gogh, Edgar Degas, Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne, Paul Gauguin and Pablo Picasso (an opportunity for the animators to indulge in some artistic parodies), so that he can send them to Mr. Phtt.

In addition, he also a pet akita named Hachiko (named after the akita of the same name) who played a part in Bradford's mutation into Dogpound after Hachiko bit him. Shredder first appeared in the end of "Rise of the Turtles, Part 2" where he traveled to New York when he learned that Hamato Yoshi is training his own ninjas after seeing a shuriken with his clan symbol on a shuriken left behind by the Turtles during a recent fight on a TV news report. Determined to finally end his age-old rival's life, he sent the Foot Clan after the Turtles until he made his first confrontation with the Turtles in person in "The Gauntlet", where victory was seemingly in his grasp before he was distracted by the mutating Bradford and Montes. Although Shredder planned to kill former TCRI inventor Baxter Stockman for interfering with his plans to kill the Turtles in "MOUSERS Attack", he changed his mind by commenting on how Stockman's scientific knowledge could be useful to him.
