Publications Ice Shelf () is an Antarctic ice shelf about 35 nautical miles (60 km) long on the south shore of Prydz Bay, between Mount Caroline Mikkelsen and Stornes Peninsula. Several glaciers, listed from southwest to northeast, nourish the ice shelf: Polar Times Glacier, Il Polo Glacier, Polarforschung Glacier, Polar Record Glacier and Polararboken Glacier. The feature was first mapped from air photos by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936–37. The name "Publication Glacier Tongues" was applied by John H. Roscoe in 1952 following his study of U.S. Navy Operation Highjump (1946–47) air photos of the area, but the term ice shelf is more descriptive.

The mission of the 130th ACG was primarily Air Commando special operations missions. Continuing its mission and training with the Active duty 1st Air Commando Group in Northern Florida, in 1968 HQ USAF directed all Air Commando organizations be re-designated as "Special Operations" units to be more descriptive of their mission. Through the 1960s and into the 1970s the 130th participated in many international missions and received recognition for their performance. The term "Moorish" comes from the European designation of the Muslim inhabitants of these regions as "Moors". Scholars often use "Western Islamic architecture" or "architecture of the Islamic west" as more descriptive or neutral terms for this topic. While biologists would regard this object as a kind of pearl, gemologists regard it as a non-nacreous pearl, lacking the iridescence of the pearls that come from saltwater pearl oysters and freshwater pearl mussels. Because of its great size, a giant clam can create a very large pearl, but not an iridescent, gemlike one. Another 1982 appraisal, by Lee Sparrow who owned a gem laboratory and appraisal business in the Phelan Building in San Francisco, put the pearl at $42,000,000.
