Lee Tae-Ho eventually resigned taking responsibility for the poor results. However, more creditable results were achieved in the AFC Champions League. Although they did not make proceed beyond the group phase, they did finish 2nd in the group, beating both Shanghai Shenhua and Kashima Antlers. Their only loss was to the eventual group winner and overall runner-up, Thai club BEC Tero Sasana.

When Haribhadra's own teacher heard of this, he ordered Haribhadra to undertake severe penances for his unseemly display of anger and attachment. Haribhadra did so, and took the title "Virahānka", which means "having separation (or viraha, from his nephews) as a distinguishing characteristic". Tradition ascribes some 1440 different works to him. A more creditable number is in the vicinity of 100, some of which are among the most highly regarded works in Jainism.

Fra Emanuele da Como, born in 1625, was a Franciscan friar, and studied art under the direction of Agostino Scilla at Messina. He distinguished himself by his pure and simple style, which is the more creditable as he flourished at a time when taste for art was in a most deplorable state. In 1672, he executed several frescoes in the Aula Maxima and the cloister of St. Isidore's Franciscan College, Rome, which is part of the Irish Franciscan Province of the Order of Friars Minor. Fra Emanuele da Como died in 1701.

He then became acquainted with the Colonnas, who appreciated his services. The wars between Ferdinand V of Castilla (the Catholic king) and Louis XII gave him a more creditable opening. The Spanish general Gonzalo de Córdoba employed him and trusted him: and he took part in the wars of Italy, on the frontier of Navarre, and once against the Turks on the Danube, till 1530. He was dead at Bologna in 1534 by a fall while engaged in a jumping-match with some of the younger officers of the army.

Weaver sent the colt into the lead from the start and he went several lengths clear of the field at the turn into the straight. A furlong from the finish he was headed by King's Theatre and he weakened in the closing stages to finish fourth behind Erhaab, beaten just under eight lengths. His performance was praised, with many feeling that his effort over a distance which was clearly beyond his natural range was more creditable than his win at Newmarket. In July Mister Baileys returned to one mile for the Group One Sussex Stakes at Goodwood and started 7/4 favourite.

In April 1946 Steady Aim contested the Katheryn Howard Stakes over seven furlongs at Hurst Park and finished third behind Neolight and Hypericum. Her performance looked much more creditable after the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket Racecourse, which saw Hypericum win by one and a half lengths with Neolight in second place. On 7 of June at Epsom Racecourse Steady Aim was ridden by Harry Wragg and started at odds 7/1 for the 168th running of the Oaks Stakes over one and a half miles. The best of her nine rivals appeared to be Hypericum and the Lingfield Oaks Trial winner Iona.

His attitude and aptitude to the game earned him a reputation as a model professional. As one of the quieter members of a squad littered with big names and personalities, it was all the more creditable that Wellens earned St Helens player of the season award in 2004 to underline his value at Knowsley Road, establishing himself as one of the fans' favourites. Wellens was selected in the Great Britain team to compete in the end of season 2004 Rugby League Tri-Nations tournament. In the final against Australia he played at fullback in the Lions' 44–4 loss.

The fleet's commander, Admiral John Byng, was court martialled over the affair, Young giving some damning evidence against Byng at the inquiry. Young also played a role in the more creditable performance at the Battle of Quiberon Bay in 1759, flying a broad pennant as a commodore and participating in the decisive defeat of the French fleet. He went on to command several squadrons on the French coast before his promotion to flag rank. Young was back in active service during the American War of Independence, with the important posting as commander in chief of the Leeward Islands station.

Wisden Cricketers' Almanack for 1960, reporting on the tour, said that the record of the team was even worse than that of the New Zealand cricket team in England in 1958, which was itself regarded as the worst in living memory. It suggested that the problem was deep-seated, in that the side appeared only rarely to play as a team, though talented individuals made occasional contributions. Under a new captain, Gulabrai Ramchand, India gave a much more creditable account of themselves in a home series the following winter against Australia, losing the series only 2–1, though the single victory came in a match at Kanpur on a newly-laid pitch that off-spinner Jasubhai Patel exploited to the extent of taking 14 wickets in the match.

Thus Benjamin Herder's activity as a publisher was always a faithful mirror of the Catholic revival in Germany in the nineteenth century, and furthermore a powerful lever exerted in favour of the Catholic cause. This was so much the more creditable, since Herder was not merely the agent, but also in general the originator of his enterprises. Possessing a clear and profound knowledge of the needs of Catholic literature, it was usually he who selected the themes for literary treatment.

Samoylov was born into an artistic family of the opera singers Vasily Samoylov (1782—1839) and Sofya Chernikova (1787-1854) and was educated first at the Mining Engineering Corps (since 1829) and then the Forestry College (1832). He was about to start a military career when his father suggested that he should make a debut as an opera singer which he did in 1834 in Alexandrinka, taking up the leading part in Étienne Méhul's Joseph. After three years of opera singing he moved to this theatre's drama troupe and enjoyed his breakthrough in 1839, in the leading part of Makar Alekseyevich Gubkin by Fyodor Koni. Several more creditable performances followed, including Prisypochka (Petersburg Flats, by Fyodor Koni), Almaviva (The Marriage of Figaro by Pierre Beaumarchais), Mitya (The Death of Lyapunov by Stepan Gedeonov), Shvokhnev (The Gamblers by Nikolai Gogol), Chyuzhbinin (Talisman by Grigory Kugushev) The Old Man (Love and Friendship, by Adelaida Taltseva), among others.

Another shortcoming is his rationalistic attitude toward the narratives in Talmudic sources, which leads him to see in many of the Talmudic authors shrewd impostors who played on the credulity of their contemporaries by feigning miracles (see his presentation of Eliezer ben Hyrcanus in his Allgemeine Geschischte, ii. 108). His earlier works lack to a great extent the strictly historical interest, and evidence too much of Jewish sentiment (Allgemeine Geschichte ii. 387). His rationalism is found also in the bitterness with which he speaks of Judæo-German ("Jahrbuch," ii. 43). His best work is in the presentation of modern Jewish history, in which he is singularly exact and conscientious, and to which he gives an exhaustive literature of sources; here he exhibits not only a fine discernment of what is historically important, but a spirit of fairness which is the more creditable because he wrote in the midst of the struggle for Reform.
