The most deadly cnidocytes (to humans, at least) are found on the body of a box jellyfish. One member of this family, the sea wasp, Chironex fleckeri, is "claimed to be the most venomous marine animal known," according to the Australian Institute of Marine Science.
Alocasia macrorrhizos is a species of flowering plant in the arum family (Araceae) that it is native to rainforests of Island Southeast Asia, New Guinea, and Queensland and has long been cultivated in the Philippines, many Pacific islands, and elsewhere in the tropics. Common names include giant taro, ape, giant alocasia, biga, and pia. In Australia it is known as the cunjevoi (a term which also refers to a marine animal).
SeaWorld Ohio was a park in the SeaWorld chain of marine animal theme parks. The park opened in 1970 directly across from Geauga Lake in Aurora, Ohio, United States. In 2001, SeaWorld sold the park to Six Flags, combining it with Geauga Lake to form Six Flags Worlds of Adventure. The park was completely demolished after the 2004 season and was rebuilt into Wildwater Kingdom for the 2005 season.
In conjunction with the aforementioned, fluttering shearwaters must face the impacts that fisheries have on marine animal populations. As the human population increases, so does its demand for food. So much so that it is already starting to adversely affect the abundance of aquatic animals found with the oceans, resulting in less food sources for predatory animals within the environment. Fishing ships are not usually appealing fluttering shearwaters.

The Future of Marine Animal Populations (FMAP) project was one of the core projects of the international Census of Marine Life (2000–2010). Most recent and modern long-snouted crocodylomorphs (notably the gharials) have slender and long teeth, being piscivores. The teeth of Aigialosuchus were stout and short, meaning that it would probably have been adapted to some other form of feeding. According to Swedish paleontologist Elisabeth Einarsson, the robust teeth of Aigialosuchus indicates that it was adapted for feeding on larger fish, such as Enchodus, and larger invertebrates. The stone arches of this public bath have been incorporated into the shop at Living Coasts. Development of the site as a marine animal exhibit was first proposed in early 1999 in response to a call from Torbay Council for submissions from interested parties. The project, developed by Kay Elliott architects, included an exhibit to house marine birds, rather than fish, due to the need to avoid duplicating the exhibits at the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth. Wholphin was a quarterly DVD magazine containing a selection of short films which had little or no exposure elsewhere. The magazine was created by Dave Eggers and Brent Hoff of McSweeney's publishing house. The northern boundary is the lateral band of land with the remains of the Colorado River Delta, and the southern is the Pacific Ocean. The Gulf of California is known for its high diversity and endemism of biota. One type of marine animal that can be found in this region is the sea urchin (class echinoidea, in the phylum echinodermata).

Medny Island Due to the high productivity of the Bering Sea shelf and the Pacific slope and their remoteness from human influence, the Commander Islands are marked by a great abundance of marine animal life and a relative paucity of terrestrial organisms. Notably, significant numbers of northern fur seals (some 200,000 individuals) and Steller sea lions (approximately 5,000 individuals) summer there, both on reproductive rookeries and non-reproductive haul-outs. Teams from the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies keep a pygmy killer whale hydrated while they prep it for release into the Gulf of Mexico The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies ("IMMS") is a research organization located in Gulfport, Mississippi and dedicated to education, conservation, and research on marine mammals in the wild and in captivity. It was founded in 1984 as a research organization funded by Marine Life Oceanarium and its sister company Marine Animal Productions and recognized as a non-profit 501c(3) in 1995. The director since its founding has been Dr. Mobashir A. (Moby) Solangi. It has been an active participant of the Marine Mammal Health and Stranding Response Program since its inception.
A 2020 study published in Nature described a large fossilized hatched egg from Antarctica from the very end of the Cretaceous, about 68 million years ago. The egg is considered one of the largest amniote eggs ever known, rivalling that of the elephant bird, and due to its soft, thin, folded texture, it likely belonged to a marine animal. While the organism that produced it remains unknown, the egg's pore structure is very similar to that of extant lepidosaurs such as lizards and snakes, and presence of mosasaur fossils nearby indicates that it may have been a mosasaur egg. It is unknown whether the egg was laid on land or in the water.

Beluga at the Vancouver Aquarium The Vancouver Aquarium (an initiative of Ocean Wise Conservation Association) is a public aquarium located in Stanley Park in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. In addition to being a major tourist attraction for Vancouver, the aquarium is a centre for marine research, ocean literacy education, conservation and marine animal rehabilitation. The Vancouver Aquarium was one of the first facilities to incorporate professional naturalists into the galleries to interpret animal behaviours.
