Harry A. Yerkes was a marimba player, inventor, and recording manager who assembled many recording sessions in the early years of jazz. Many of the sessions organized by Yerkes used his name for the artist credit, including Yerkes' Jazarimba Orchestra and Yerkes' Marimbaphone Band on Columbia Records, which are estimated to have some of the best selling records of 1919 and 1921.

Fredvard Muehlhofer, as well as Latin percussion with Prof. Anton Muehlhofer. He also studied privately with renowned Drum Set artists Kenwood Dennard, Jojo Mayer, Gene Lake, and Marimbaphone soloist Neboja Zivkovic. As a composer he has written music for three feature films, as well as a number of short subject films, and has received many placements on cable and network TV programs.

J.C. Deagan, Inc. is a former musical instrument manufacturing company that developed and produced instruments from the late 19th- to mid-20th century. The company was founded in 1880 by John Calhoun Deagan and initially manufactured glockenspiels. It was noted for its development of the xylophone, vibraharp, organ chimes, aluminum chimes, aluminum harp, Swiss handbells, the marimba, orchestra bells, and marimbaphone.

An F-major scale played on a vibraphone with the motors on The vibraphone is a musical instrument in the struck idiophone subfamily of the percussion family. It consists of tuned metal bars and is usually played by holding two or four soft mallets and striking the bars. A person who plays the vibraphone is called a vibraphonist, vibraharpist, or vibist. The vibraphone resembles the marimbaphone and steel marimba, which it superseded.

The pupils were very fond of him, as he taught them to play Sonny and Cher songs, instead of the usual music class stuff. In 1969, Bedford was engaged to orchestrate Kevin Ayers' album Joy of a Toy, on which he also played keyboards. This led to his role as keyboardist for Ayers' band, Kevin Ayers and the Whole World, who recorded one album, Shooting at the Moon (1970). On that album, in addition to organ and piano, Bedford plays accordion, marimbaphone and guitar.

Percussion: Timpani, triangle tree, bell tree, pair of cymbal, tamtam, bongos, tomtom, rototom, timbales, snare drum, military drum, tenor drum, bass drum with cymbal, whip, wood block, guiro, glockenspiel, xylophone, marimbaphone, tubular bells, and celesta (only used in the third and fifth movements). The score calls for nine percussion players in total (not including timpani).
