On top of that, once something seemingly off is identified, its much easier for an auditor to trace or vouch the numbers through the use of the improved technologies, making the use of professional judgement simpler and more effective as more and more information is available to the auditor. Professional judgement is a key component of an auditors job, and with the assistance of computer-assisted audit tools, many manual task are no longer necessary and can allow auditors to focus more on their professional judgement calls.
