In August 2016, Fast Company and Bloomberg News reported that in the lead-up to a venture capital funding round in 2014, Hampton Creek engaged contractors to visit leading retailers and buy its eggless Just Mayo product. Bloomberg cited emails sent by Caroline Love, a vice-president at Hampton Creek, which instructed the contractors to visit retail outlets to buy the product. Hampton Creek also reportedly asked contractors to call retail outlets to make inquiries about Just Mayo in an effort to make it appear that there was interest in the product. Hampton Creek claims that the buyout program was for quality control purposes.

United Nations Security Council Resolution 132, adopted on September 7, 1959, decided to appoint a sub-committee consisting of Argentina, Italy, Japan and Tunisia, and instructed it to examine statements made before the Council concerning Laos and to receive further statements and documents, and make inquiries and report to the Council as soon as possible. It was the only resolution adopted by the Security Council in 1959. Laos had previously accused troops from North Vietnam of crossing its shared border and undertaking military attacks against Laos; the Security Council President convened a meeting urgently. Resolution 132 was adopted by ten votes to one against, from the Soviet Union.

The journalist Joseph Hall Richardson of the Daily Telegraph reported on Sadler's identification attempt as guilt of the Ripper murders, in his memoir titled From the City to Fleet Street. There, he recounted that when Frances Coles was killed, his lover's guilt was taken for granted by the press "too quickly", but the detectives had doubts about it and used Richardson himself and another reporter. They were asked to make inquiries in the Chatham Harbor - when they had already arrested Sadler - in order to get information from his wife or concubine. Asterix and Obelix set out for Lutetia (present-day Paris) to buy a new sickle from Obelix's distant cousin, the sicklesmith Metallurgix. On the way there, they encounter bandits, but easily defeat them, and learn from a fellow-traveller that "sickles are in short supply in Lutetia". In the city, they find Metallurgix missing and make inquiries at a local inn, but the landlord professes to know nothing.

Harclay believes it is necessary for there to be univocal concepts for it to be possible to make inquiries into God's nature. If things such as the definition of what it means to exist is equivocal between God and his creatures, then when we say "God exists" really we are just saying "God is God" so we have not proven anything and consequently are prevented from knowing anything about God (Harclay 461). Franz Ferdinand, like most males in the ruling Habsburg line, entered the Austro-Hungarian Army at a young age. The Conference must meet at least once per year, and no member is paid except for the Chairman. Chapter 3 describes the various activities that can be undertaken by the Conference, including studies, information interchanges between administrative agencies, and assistance to administrative bodies in other countries with the approval of the Department of State. It also describes the Chairman's authority within the Conference, including the authority to make inquiries and encourage agencies to adopt the recommendations of the Conference. The White House claimed that reports "from BBC, Heat Street, New York Times, Fox News, among others" established the president's wiretapping allegation, providing links of these to The Washington Post. In a statement issued through press secretary Sean Spicer on March 5, Trump asked congressional intelligence committees to "determine whether executive branch investigative powers were abused in 2016" as part of their investigation into Russian interference in the election. In response, Representative Devin Nunes, who chairs the House Intelligence Committee, stated that the committee "will make inquiries into whether the government was conducting surveillance activities on any political party's campaign officials or surrogates". In addition to the yearly recruits, the Haitian National Police (HNP) has been using innovative technologies to crack down on crime. That June, Judge Jewett granted Tracy's motion to quash, without costs. The court held that only the district attorney could bring such an action to enforce the statute: > I am of opinion that by the terms and spirit of the statute under which this > proceeding has been had, no other than the district attorney of the county > of Genesee (in which the lands intruded upon are situated) could regularly > be a relator. The remedy for the act complained of is provided by the > statute, as well as the officers to carry it into execution. It is made the > duty of the district attorney to make complaint of all intrusions upon > Indian lands forbidden by the act, and from time to time to make inquiries > whether any persons other than Indians are settled upon such lands, and to > cause them to be removed in the manner therein prescribed.

The newspaper argued that it acted responsibly as the allegations it reported were of sufficient public interest to outweigh the damage caused to Galloway's reputation. Ned edges up Frewin's radio language courses in Russian and his Eastern Bloc contacts, attempting to verify the contents of the letter of denunciation he had received, aided by the findings of Toby Esterhase and Monty Arbuck, whom Ned had requested to make inquiries.
