Vince, realizing that there is nowhere for him to run, flushes his narcotics down the toilet and destroys the tape containing Jon's confession.

Knowing the danger he faces, Cheon-soo tries to make a run for it, but he is arrested at the airport by police detective Kim Gae-ko.

The two get the others, and they all try to make a run for it, but retreat back to the manor when they spot Guy's body on the path, tied to a cross and set ablaze by Jingles, who taunts Angela. Jingles sneaks into the house, and performs a dark ritual in the attic, while downstairs the ghost of Angela's sister, Amy, manifests. The two make a run for it before the child's parents notice, then realize they still need to get back to Quahog (which, by looking at a highway sign at the end, is 2112 miles away, a reference to the Rush 1976 album), so they carjack a passing driver in the city and drive home.

While one of the criminals, Manu, accompanies the father and the young woman to a house after a local offers to help them with the small child, Vincent attempts to make a run for it by stealing all of the bank loot for himself, but Sabri soon catches up to him and shoots him for his treachery. When Manu suspects that the Father and Woman plot to escape, he pulls out his gun leading to a fight resulting in him getting stabbed (non-fatally), but the Father and Woman are soon recaptured. After shooting and killing two armed locals who try to stop them, the group continues on. After traveling on another dark back road, the group arrives at a lake where Sabri has arraigned for a boat to pick them up to take them across the border.

With each boy using a quick line-writing device, they write all their lines in three-and-a-half minutes, then they pass the time by making a new Captain Underpants comic: Captain Underpants and the attack of the Talking Toilets. They decide to go to the copy machine, but realize that Mr. Krupp will suspend them if they leave the room and they decide to sneak out without Mr. Krupp catching them. However, the copy machine is surrounded by most of the teachers, so they copy off of Melvin's machine as they still believe it is a normal copy machine, but the talking toilets come to life as George and Harold discover that Melvin was right all along as they make a run for it. While fleeing, George and Harold are eventually caught red-handed by Mr. Krupp who was walking in the hallway and are suspended.

Lucky, Snap and most of the former Leashed Dogs (except for Bruno) go on a brief mission to warn the unaggressive construction worker longpaws in the nearby abandoned coastal town about the new Growl. Although the longpaws don't understand what the dogs are telling them, they eventually see the Endless Lake moving in with a tsunami and make a run for it. Lucky leads the other dogs back up the cliff to where the rest of the Pack is after they quickly rescue a trapped longpaw man from a ground crevasse. After the Wild Pack settles down and the second Big Growl ends, Lucky tells everyone about the dreams he has seen about the Storm of Dogs and how Blade has had similar dreams, yet points out that she believes that any Fierce Dog pup that was born after the first Big Growl must die in order to please the Earth-Dog.

A fight erupts between the two factions with Storm, Colossus, Dazzler, Iceman and Exodus leading the charge against Holocaust while Nightcrawler and Cypher make a run for it. The X-Men manage to damage Holocaust's containment suit which allows Iceman to freeze Holocaust at the subatomic level, but by doing this instead of subduing Holocaust, the X-Men just made him detonated, blowing up the entire Savage Land forcing Nightcrawler to teleport way out of explosion's range to save Cypher, but the strain of such long teleportation nevertheless kills him instantly. Afterwards, Cypher was found barely alive by Apocalypse's servants on the outskirts of the blast perimeter and was taken to New Cairo, where he was healed and interrogated by Sinister's Prelates, the Summers Brothers. As the interrogation didn't prove to be successful, Cypher was taken to the Human Compound and, listening carefully to the conversation between the Summers Brothers and the humans representatives Dr. Peter Corbeau and Carol Danvers, discovered what the humans were hiding and the mutants afraid of: a virus that could wipe out all of mutantkind.
