One of the most popular programmes on air in the 1980s, due to its informal presentation that contrasted with most other shows, was the "Listeners' Request Club", hosted by prominent radio presenter Vasily Strelnikov. Another popular feature which began on Radio Moscow was Moscow Mailbag, which answered listeners' questions in English about the Soviet Union. Since 1957, the programme was presented by Joe Adamov, who was known for his command of the English language and his good humour.

Ngundu is a village in Bikita District in Masvingo Province in Zimbabwe. Pre-1950 Ngundu Halt was a stopping point for the Rhodesia Railways Road Motor Service, or RMS. There was a small roof topped structure with a secure door where the mailbag was dropped for Triangle Estates and for other residents in the Lowveld. The road was tar strips on the Fort Victoria (now Masvingo) - Beit Bridge road, and dirt from the halt to Triangle.

Robert Jacques "Bob" Bruss (May 2, 1940, Minneapolis, Minnesota – September 26, 2007, Hillsborough, California) was a real estate attorney and syndicated columnist known as "the Dear Abby of real estate". Bruss was a real estate lawyer and broker and wrote seven columns a week, including his "Real Estate Mailbag" question-and-answer feature. He also explained what he believed were revealing developments in real estate law and taxes, and reviewed books with real estate themes. He was a 1962 business administration graduate of Northwestern University and a 1967 graduate of the University of California's Hastings College of the Law.

Kellett then designed a new version, the KD-1B, with a canopy enclosing the rear, pilot's seat, a radio, blind-flying instruments, a landing light and other changes to Eastern's requirements. Eddie Rickenbacker hands a mailbag to KD-1B pilot Johnny Miller at the start of the airmail service The Eastern Air Lines mail service, no AM2001, started on 6 June 1939. after Miller had done several practice flights, mainly to get used to the often severe turbulence experienced on the roof of the post office. Magary was one of the contributors to the NFL humor website Kissing Suzy Kolber. CBS' total cost for acquiring the show—including renovations, negotiation right paid to NBC, signing Letterman, announcer Bill Wendell, band leader Paul Shaffer, and the rest of the band—was over $140 million. He was born a US Citizen in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico being a US territory and is of Taino Indian extraction. John and his two American born children were granted full political asylum in Russia in 2007 after the US Embassy in Moscow revoked his US passport.

During the first aerial flight in North America by balloon on January 9, 1793, from Philadelphia to Deptford, New Jersey, Jean-Pierre Blanchard carried a personal letter from George Washington to be delivered to the owner of whatever property Blanchard happened to land on, making the flight the first delivery of air mail in the United States. John Wise piloted an unofficial balloon post flight that took place on July 17, 1859, from St. Louis, United States, to Henderson, New York, a distance of 1,290 kmSmith (1942), p. 51. on which he carried a mailbag entrusted to him by the American Express Company.

In the aftermath of a theft and murder, Martha Radcliffe increasingly suspects her husband George Radcliffe, whose testimony in court convicted the main suspect, of being the real culprit. Businessman Jason Root is stabbed to death on a night when George and a clerk named Donald Heath are the only other employees working at the office. A mailbag full of money is stolen in the process. George sees Heath in the boiler room when he runs after the murderer right after he hears Root crying after being stabbed; George, who is seen sweating nervously both during the trial and later, insists that Heath must have been the murderer, and Heath is convicted.

The letter, which Martha reads, contains a blackmail threat from Jeremy Gray accusing George of the crime. As the story unfolds, clues pointing to George quickly accumulate. These include a new business he started soon after the trial, using money that he claims to have made in the stock market; his own desperate desire for success; lying to his wife in order to secretly search for Gray; the suspicious new business with an unknown man, Morris Brooke, right after the trial; and Gray's claim, when Martha finds him, that he was an eyewitness to the crime and George was the murderer.
