Peter Charles Combe OAM (born 20 October 1948) is an Australian children's entertainer and musician. At the ARIA Music Awards he has won three ARIA Awards for Best Children's Album, for Toffee Apple (1988), Newspaper Mama (1989) and The Absolutely Very Best of Peter Combe (So Far) Recorded in Concert (1992) and three additional nominations (Chopsticks (1990), Little Groover (1996) and Live It Up (2017)). His best-known tracks are "Toffee Apple", "Spaghetti Bolognaise", "Mr Clicketty Cane", "Juicy Juicy Green Grass" and "Newspaper Mama". His Christmas Album (November 1990) reached the ARIA Albums Chart top 50\.

"Live It Up" is an uptempo dance-pop and Europop song with a duration of four minutes and three seconds (4:03). The party-themed track was produced by RedOne and Alex P, who also wrote it alongside Björn Djupström, Viktor Svensson, Pitbull, Achraf Janussi and Bilal "The Chef" Hajji. He announced on his Facebook page that he had established his own record label, "Easy Records". The first release on the label was the iTunes single "Perfect Couple, Pt. 2" by Fozzey & VanC. On 4 December 2012, Pez's new single 'The Game' premiered on Triple J. It was later announced on a SoundCloud page where the single could be heard that it will be released by Soulmate Records on iTunes on 14 December 2012. In 2014 he had more collaborations with 360, including hit single Live It Up, also opening a label called Forthwrite with 360.

The band are said to have written over 25 new songs since releasing Started a Fire. Originally due to be released in the summer of 2009, the album was finally released in late August 2010. It was originally intended to include new songs such as "Intention Confidential", "A Thousand Dreams" and "Daydream" which were performed on their tour in October as well as "Live It Up" and "Hurricane" which had clips shown in a web video uploaded by them. None of these songs made the final track list, although "Daydream" and "Hurricane" were recorded as a B-side and an iTunes bonus track, respectively.

Realizing that the Latin/Jazz percussion style evident in the latter half of the previous decade no longer fit with their "more pop-oriented sound," while beginning work on Chicago 16, the album Chicago XIV signaled the end of percussionist Laudir de Oliveira's tenure with the band after nine years. Peter Cetera, meanwhile, concentrated on his first self-titled solo album during the hiatus. In 2003, Chicago XIV was remastered and reissued by Rhino Records with three outtakes from the sessions, "Doin' Business" (which first appeared on the 1991 4-Disc anthology Group Portrait), "Live It Up" and "Soldier of Fortune" as bonus tracks.

In December 1986, they performed under the pseudonym, The Death Barrels, in a competition sponsored by Mambo, Battle of the Surf Bands at Selina's Coogee Bay Hotel. 1986 saw the release of "Greatest Hits Volume 1" which reached number 2 on the Australian charts. "Sloppy Croc", an instrumental that featured on the Crocodile Dundee Soundtrack alongside "Live It Up", was released as a single in Australia but with little promotion, failed to chart. From late in 1986 to early 1987, Mental As Anything were the opening act on the multi-group Australian Made concert tour where they were joined by former Dynamic Hepnotics keyboardist Mike Gubb.

On March 30, T.I. released a snippet of "Love This Life", Trouble Mans promotional single, produced by Mars of 1500 or Nothin'. The band was formed in 1981 by Dutch born Alides Hidding, who wrote all songs and sang lead vocals. The band's four albums made the charts all over the world. Time Bandits established a presence on the American music scene with two entries on the dance charts with the number 6 dance hit "Live It Up" in 1982 and "I'm Only Shooting Love", which peaked at number 2 in 1985. By the mid-1980s, Time Bandits had also achieved great success in Australia, where "I'm Only Shooting Love" and "Endless Road" (where its music video was filmed) were both Top 10 hits and are now widely considered '80s classics.

Mason's first commercial release was a five- track extended-play album G-Ma's Basement EP. This included solo acoustic recordings of "Live It Up", "Hard Hand to Hold", "Waiter at the Station", "Not Lie Down" and "Oxygen". The album was sold during 2004 live appearances and on the internet. Mason's popularity rose after Sean Foley, an associate of musician Conor Oberst, discovered his music on a local Martha's Vineyard radio broadcast. Oberst would soon sign Mason to his new record label, Team Love Records and in the summer of 2004, Mason and his brother Sam traveled to Old Soul Studios in the Catskill Mountains, New York, to record Where the Humans Eat.

Sylvain Sylvain frequently performed with him, and his band covered many Dolls songs in concert; his live albums Live It Up and The David Johansen Group Live document Johansen's reputation as an exceptional concert performer. The studio releases Here Comes the Night (which includes a signature number, "Heart of Gold") and Sweet Revenge again showcased his strengths as a writer of new material and featured a guest appearance by jazz saxophone player Big Jay McNeely. A number of the songs on Here Comes the Night were co-written with South African musician Blondie Chaplin. In 1982 Johansen was the opening act for The Who at several U.S. East Coast concerts, Shea Stadium Queensborough and Capital Centre.

Stephen Thomas Erlewine from AllMusic wrote that "she radiates good vibes so strongly, none of her calculated commercial considerations feels cold. And, as the sleekly modern Gypsy Heart proves, her charms are beguiling no matter her setting," giving the album 3.5 out of 5 stars and highlighted the tracks: "Live It Up", "Blaze", "Try", and "Bigger Love". Serena Weiss from The Ithacan stated that "Gypsy Heart can best be described as charming, with its hints of varying style in each song," and said that "the California singer has rendered a delightful album that will consistently intrigue listeners," while giving the album 3 out of 4 stars.

Rock with Bill Haley and the Comets is the title of an early rock and roll music compilation album issued by Essex Records (ESLP 202) in 1954, and featuring music by the titular group, Bill Haley & His Comets. The album features recordings made by Haley in 1952 and 1953, including his hits, "Rock the Joint", "Crazy Man Crazy" (Billboard, #12, Cashbox, #11), "Fractured" (Billboard, #24), and "Live It Up" (Billboard, #25). The album is the earliest known LP release of the rock and roll genre, predating similar releases by Elvis Presley and by Haley himself, as he and his band later went on to Decca Records and recorded "Rock Around the Clock".

RCA Records dismissed DeWyze from his contract in 2011, due to the poor performance of his previous album, Live It Up. Undaunted by this setback, DeWyze set out to write music that would be more in line with his own vision, feeling that RCA had not understood him as an artist. Having previously released two independent albums, he went back to the folk rock sound of those albums, while also incorporating elements of pop, rockabilly and bluegrass. Attracting Vanguard Records with his new music, he signed with the label in early 2013 and was given creative freedom while working on Frames. The album was released on August 20, 2013 to positive reviews.

A biography on the life of their drummer Jerry Nolan is titled "Stranded in the Jungle." Dolls lead singer David Johansen included a live version of it on his 1982 album, Live It Up. Other bands to make versions of "Stranded in the Jungle" include Crazy Joe and the Variable Speed Band (1981), the Mighty Flyers (1984), Big Dipper (1990), The Nylons (1996), and Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen (2007). In 1998 the Los Angeles-based punk-rock combo Voodoo Glow Skulls covered the song but with a much faster and harder tempo. It was covered by Frank Zappa during the North American leg of his 1976 tour, and released posthumously in 2009 on the album Philly '76.

Internationally, "Too Many Times" made the Canadian top 40 in 1982, and "Live It Up" peaked at No. 3 in the UK, No. 4 in Norway, and No. 6 in Germany, after it featured in the 1986 Australian film "Crocodile" Dundee. All of the early members are visual artists and have had combined studio displays, some have had solo studio displays with Mombassa's artwork also used as designs by the Mambo clothing company. The majority of the group's record covers, posters and video clips have been designed and created by the band members or their art school contemporaries. On 27 August 2009, Mental As Anything was inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Hall of Fame alongside Kev Carmody, The Dingoes, Little Pattie and John Paul Young.

However, his three previous solo albums were not selling as well as expected, therefore, Johansen turned to touring and selling his stage show. On Live It Up, Johansen performs The Foundations' classic, "Build Me Up Buttercup", the Cadets' "Stranded in the Jungle" (which was also covered by the New York Dolls) and an Animals medley, which included "We Gotta Get Out of This Place", "Don't Bring Me Down" and "It's My Life". The only New York Dolls original recording he performs is "Personality Crisis". Toby Gad was the only producer and co-writer to collaborate with DeWyze on both albums. DeWyze described the co-writing process on Live It Up as having been like speed-dating, but said that on Frames it felt like "a full on collaboration." He said that the recording process felt organic and that there was no "pressure [on him] to make a 'certain' type of record." Free of this obligation, he chose not to confine himself to only writing folk rock songs and also included the pop songs "You Don't Know Me" and "The Ride," which have been compared to the music of the Beatles, "Fire Away," which has been described as a combination of roots music and rockabilly, and "Who Would've Known," which has been described as a combination of pop and bluegrass.

"Back It Up" is a 2015 song by American singer Prince Royce, featuring Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull. The song was released on May 4, 2015 as the second single taken from Royce's fourth studio album, Double Vision. There are three versions available, a Spanglish version and a Spanish version, with both making chart appearances, and the original English version, featuring only Pitbull. The Isleys released their first T-Neck/CBS release with the 3+3 album in 1973. The album boasted the hit singles "That Lady", "What It Comes Down To" and "Summer Breeze", the latter song becoming a top ten hit in the UK, their first top ten hit over there since their Motown releases including "This Old Heart" had reached the top ten. 3+3 was the group's first album to be certified platinum and was recorded with the same associate producers that had helped to make Stevie Wonder's recordings during this time become a success - Robert Margouleff and Malcolm Cecil. The brothers' 1974 album, Live It Up, went gold on the basis of the dance singles such as the title track and "Midnight Sky" while their ballad version of Todd Rundgren's "Hello It's Me" became an instant Isley Brothers favorite.

Mental As Anything are an Australian new wave and pop rock band that formed in Sydney in 1976. Its most popular line-up (which lasted from 1977 to 1999) was Martin Plaza (birth name Martin Murphy) on vocals and guitar; Reg Mombassa (birth name Christopher O'Doherty) on lead guitar and vocals; his brother Peter "Yoga Dog" O'Doherty on bass guitar and vocals; Wayne de Lisle (birth name David Twohill) on drums; and Andrew "Greedy" Smith on vocals, keyboards and harmonica. Their original hit songs were generated by Mombassa, O'Doherty, Plaza and Smith, either individually or collectively; they also hit the Australian charts with covers of songs by Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry. Their top ten Australian singles are "If You Leave Me, Can I Come Too?" and "Too Many Times" (both from 1981), "Live It Up" (1985) and "Rock and Roll Music" (1988).

Buck then promises the troupe that he'll get them back and brings them to an expensive hotel on the premise that they don't have the money to pay for it regardless so they might as well live it up. Upon their arrival, Buck and The Yacht Club Boys (named Swifty, Dopey, Jimmy, and Kelly in the film) convince the owner of the hotel that they have money and are used to paying at the end of their stay instead of the beginning. The owner, mesmerized by the thought that all Americans have money, allows them to move into their rooms, against the will of his wife. However the next day, while the troupe is practising their cowboy & Indians routine, the hotel owner's wife locks them out of their rooms, and in order for their rooms to be unlocked she insists that they pay their bill.

Following aborted CSN sessions in 1978, Crosby & Nash attempted to record a new album for Capitol Records a year later, but the project was dampened by Crosby's increased dependence upon freebase cocaine. Material from the sessions eventually appeared on Nash's Earth & Sky without any songs from Crosby. Crosby's problems during the 1980s with drugs, and his prison time, precluded any activity solely with Nash, the pair appearing on the CSN and CSNY albums of that decade. The 1990 CSN album Live It Up started as a Crosby & Nash record, but like its predecessor Daylight Again which was initially sessions for a Stills & Nash effort, Atlantic Records was reluctant to release anything that didn't include the full trio. In 2004, Crosby & Nash released their first original studio record since 1976 with the double-album Crosby & Nash on Sanctuary Records, with backing mostly by members of Crosby's band CPR.

The discography of British N-Dubz singer Tulisa consists of one studio album, seven singles and four music videos. Tulisa's solo career began on 29 April 2012, when she released the first solo single from her debut solo album "Young". The single was released as part of a remixes EP, which charted at number 5 on the Irish Singles Chart and hit the top spot at number 1 on the UK Singles Chart. On 9 September 2012, Tulisa released her second solo single "Live It Up", which features guest vocals from American rapper Tyga. The single debuted at number 11 in the UK. Tulisa released her third and final single from the album, "Sight of You" on 2 December 2012 and charted at number 18 in the UK. On 3 December 2012, she released her debut solo album The Female Boss which peaked at number 35 on the UK Albums Chart but failed to chart in the top 40 in Ireland.

The original group consisted of fellow high school students Head (vocals), Bolton (rhythm guitar) (1941–2003), Gerry Gibson (drums), Dan Buie (piano), Clyde Causey (lead guitar), and Bill Pennington (bass). When Causey joined the military, he was replaced by George Frazier (1941–1996) just before the band started their recording career at Tanner N Texas (TNT) Recording Company, owned by Bob Tanner and located in San Antonio. The Traits had several regional hits at TNT, with songs such as "One More Time", "Live It Up", both released in 1959, and "Summertime Love" (1960), establishing themselves in the late 1950s and the early 1960s as one of the premier teenage Texas-based rock and roll bands while playing the concert, sock hop, college and university and dance hall circuits throughout Texas. During this period, the parents of The Traits turned down Dick Clark's invitation for the boys to appear on American Bandstand, which ABC had started broadcasting nationwide from Philadelphia in 1957.

They followed the Australian Made tour by extensive touring of Europe and the UK on the back of the success of "Live It Up" and to promote their album of that year Mouth to Mouth, again produced by Gottehrer Mouth to Mouth charted in the top 20 in Australia and the two singles lifted from it, "He's Just No Good For You" and "Don't Tell Me Now" both charted in the Top 40, as did a further single at years end, a cover of Elvis Presley's "Love Me Tender". The music video for "He's Just No Good for You" was filmed on Scarborough Street in Monterey, New South Wales. In late 1988, a cover of the Chuck Berry chestnut "Rock and Roll Music"—recorded for the Yahoo Serious movie Young Einstein—went top 5 on the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Singles Charts. The single appeared on their next album, Cyclone Raymond, produced by Steve James, Mark Moffatt, Mark Opitz and Robyn Smith; which peaked into the top 40 ARIA Albums Charts in October 1989.

See "Doubled Edged Sword" in The Story of Roy Head and The Traits. Later releases by Head on Dunhill and Elektra contained elements of rockabilly and psychedelic rock, but by the mid-1970s his solo career had led him to country. He signed first with Mega Records and then with Shannon Records and later on with ABC Records and Elektra Records. After releasing the 1970 cult classic "Same People That You Meet Going Up You Meet Coming Down" on Dunhill Records, Head's music reached the U.S. country music Top 100 24 times by the mid-1980s, while landing three Top 20 hits: "The Most Wanted Woman in Town", (1975) "Come To Me" and "Now You See Em, Now You Don't" both in 1977 and recorded on the ABC/Dot label reaching No. 16 and No. 19, respectively. Even the earliest blues-laced, rockabilly-styled recordings of The Traits, primarily written in a collaboration between Bolton, Buie, Gibson, and Head, have demonstrated lasting power with "One More Time", "Live It Up" and "Summertime Love" making periodic surges into the Top 100 in various parts of Europe.
