Vertical Man received average reviews and reached No. 61 in the US. The album was then released in the UK on 3 August, where it bubbled below the official Top 75, reaching No. 85 there, after having sold 2,000 copies. Troublemaker is the debut album from former Small Faces and Faces keyboardist Ian McLagan, released in 1979 on Mercury Records. The album, combined with McLagan's 1985 extended play Last Chance to Dance and some bonus tracks, has been re-issued under the title Here Comes Trouble on the Maniac Records label.
