Platov fought his first 20 fights in Belgium, suffering only one defeat which was a points defeat to Ludovic Mace. He faced Mace again six months later and avenged the loss, KO'ing Mace in the third round.

Battle characters now have a new ability known as Ultimate Actions (UA). These UA are different for each character, as some recover health, other recover SP, while others can be used to dodge enemy attacks. Another new feature added is the Evolution Chart. This area allows players to upgrade their characters by spending gems (currency earned for KO'ing opponents) to buy a new koma.

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, Alakazam plays a large supporting role in the plot as the leader of a Gold Rank rescue team along with Tyranitar and Charizard. Abra appears as a Poké Ball Pokémon in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, using Teleport to warp itself and fighters off the stage, potentially KO'ing them.

Fighting out of Alkmaar, Sahak made his debut with the It's Showtime organization in 2006, winning a C-Klass bout by decision in his home town. In 2010 after almost exclusively fighting on the Dutch circuit, Sahak headed to Paris to face Abdarhmane Coulibaly for the W.P.M.F. European title, losing a decision to the home fighter after five rounds. He would make up for this disappointment the next year, winning the W.F.C.A. world title by KO'ing Yassin Boudrouz in the fourth round of their match in Belgium. In May 2011, Sahak faced Amir Zeyada for the It's Showtime 85MAX world title, vacated by Melvin Manhoef.

Conversely, if the player loses a match against a lower ranked monkey, the player's monkey drops a rank. The player has no direct control over their monkey during a match, but in between rounds they can choose to refill its health, its stamina, or a little of both, and they can advise it on what strategy to use. Monkeys that have not befriended the player enough may not listen to the player's advice. Boxing matches are won by either a count or a KO. In the event of neither monkey KO'ing the other, the match is judged by the amount of health each monkey has.

Clash of Egos stars Ulrich Thomsen as Tonny, an aggressive husband and father so rage-addled that he got sent to jail for KO'ing a man in public. Tonny's wife, Tanja (Ellen Hillingso), grew humiliated and promptly divorced him, but Tonny luckily managed to swing occasional custody of his two children. On one of their prized afternoons together, Tonny and the kids hearken off to see the new Harry Potter movie, but run headfirst into the discouraging news that the film is sold out. With only one other option available to them at the cinema, the three must endure a thoroughly miserable afternoon at an über-pretentious experimental Danish film called "The Murderer," directed by the snotty passive aggressive artiste director Claus Volter (Nikolaj Lie Kaas).

Vasquez, known as "El Zurdo" which means lefty as he is a southpaw, turned pro in 1986 and captured the Vacant WBA Light Middleweight Title by KO'ing little-known Hitoshi Kamiyama in 1992. He successfully defended the title ten times beating such boxers as Javier Castillejo, Aaron "Superman" Davis, Tony Marshall and the then- undefeated future-great: Winky Wright during his championship reign before losing the belt to the legendary Pernell Whitaker in 1995 who had only one fight in this weightclass. That same year he recaptured the WBA Light Middleweight Title by beating fellow southpaw Carl Daniels whom he knocked out with a single straight left after trailing badly on points. The devastating 11th-round knockout of Daniels was named Ring Magazine Knockout of the Year for 1995.
