She is best known for her portraying Zeph in the Syfy science fiction television series Killjoys and as Betty Anne on Hulu series Letterkenny. She is slated to star the forthcoming Amazon series, A League of Their Own.

Guitarist Frank Iero told MTV "It's basically what the Killjoys are listening to in the car as they're having those gun battles". In an interview with Alternative Press, Gerard Way stated a desire to create a Mad Gear and Missile Kid full-length album, but did not do so before the band's break-up in 2013. There has been no word from any of the members about it since.

That year, she appeared in the Black Mirror episode "Playtest" and an episode of The Tunnel.

Killjoys follows a trio of hard-living bounty hunters – Dutch, John, and D'avin. Working for the Reclamation Apprehension Coalition (RAC), they work in a four planet-and-moon system known as the Quad. Taking on warrants to apprehend people or property, RAC Agents are given high authority by their agency. As part of their job, they swear to remain neutral in conflicts and owe no allegiance to any system, government, or other organizations.

Way and fellow artists Shaun Simon and Becky Cloonan co-created another comic-book series entitled The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, which Way announced at 2009 San Diego Comic-Con. At the 2012 New York Comic Con, the team announced that the first look at the series would be released on 2013's Free Comic Book Day. The series continued the concepts introduced in the My Chemical Romance album of a similar title.

Prior to his death, he was working on yet another project with Macan titled Silver Sun as well as a short story that was posthumously released in Vertigo's Weird War Tales Special. Many people have cited Biuković as their influence, including My Chemical Romance singer and comic book writer Gerard Way (The Umbrella Academy, The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys) as well as fellow Croatian artist Goran Sudžuka (Outlaw Nation, Wonder Woman).

In 2011, he won a Prime Time Emmy Award and received a Gemini nomination for his work on The Kennedys. Other notable credits include work on the feature films Pacific Rim, Total Recall, Hairspray and the Saw franchise. Television credits include Monsters, Defiance, Copper, The Strain and Killjoys.

The lineups varied between the cities, but each show featured American bands Foo Fighters, Green Day, and Creed and Canadian bands Econoline Crush, The Killjoys, Matthew Good Band, Sloan, The Tea Party and The Watchmen. The Barrie show again sold out with 35,000 attendees. The Calgary show had an increase in attendance from the previous year with 27,000 attendees. However, both Ottawa and Edmonton had a decline in attendees from the previous year.

During the mid 2010s, emo's popularity began to wane. Some bands broke up or moved away from their emo roots; According to a vice article some Emos grew up to be K-pop fans. My Chemical Romance's album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, has a traditional pop punk style. Paramore and Fall Out Boy both abandoned the emo genre with their 2013 albums, Paramore and Save Rock and Roll, respectively.

In February of that year, she joined the cast of the Syfy science fiction television series Killjoys in its third season. On the series, she portrayed Zeph, an androgynous scientist, in a recurring role until the series ended. That summer, the CBC mockumentary The Neddeaus of Duqesne Island, which McCormack both produced and starred in, was released online via CBC's official website. The series received three Canadian Screen Award nominations at the 6th Canadian Screen Awards in 2018.

Atwood has been partially involved in developing or has been the lead designer for producing the costumes on over 50 films to date. Naturaliste is the fifth studio album by the Australian indie pop trio, the Lucksmiths, which was released on 10 March 2003 via Candle Records (catalogue number LUCKY16). The band members Marty Donald on guitar, backing vocals and glockenspiel; Mark Monnone on bass guitar, guitar, harmonium and backing vocals; and Tali White on drums, percussion and lead vocals. They all contributed to the song writing. Craig Pilkington (The Killjoys) produced the album at Audrey Studios in Richmond.

Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge was described as alternative rock, emo, pop punk, post-hardcore, and punk rock. The band's third album, The Black Parade, has been described as alternative rock, emo, pop punk, post-hardcore, punk rock, and hard rock. The album has influences from 1970s classic rock, glam rock, pop, and gothic rock. The band's fourth album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, was described as alternative rock pop punk, power pop, pop rock, and electronic rock.

The Killjoys released their first album Starry in 1994 through Cargo Records; the album was later re-released on Warner Music Canada. The singles "Today I Hate Everyone" and "Dana" were played on MuchMusic and MusiquePlus. Mike Trebilcock was also nominated for a Juno Award with Antoine Moonen in 1994, for "Best Album Design" for "Starry". The band was also nominated for a Rock Radio Award for "Independent Artist of the Year". In 1996, the band released their second album, Gimme Five.

Screaming Blue Murder is the third studio album by British heavy metal band, Girlschool. It was released on Bronze Records in 1982, and featured one line- up change in bassist Ghislaine 'Gil' Weston, formerly of The Killjoys, replacing the recently departed founding-member Enid Williams. Nigel Gray, who had previously worked with The Police, produced the album. The original vinyl issue had the lyrics printed on the inner-sleeve, although in the UK initial copies were accidentally shipped with a plain, generic liner.

The band released The Black Parade, its third studio album, in 2006, which sold over 4 million copies and features the successful singles "Welcome to the Black Parade", "Famous Last Words", and "Teenagers". He also starred as Nick Hopewell in the Lifetime original movie Swept Under alongside Devin Kelley. In summer 2015, Ashmore began his role as John Jaqobis in the Syfy original series Killjoys. The show was renewed for a fourth and final fifth season by Syfy in september 2017, where he is continuing his role. He plays the role of one of the three interplanetary bounty hunters sworn to remain impartial as they chase deadly warrants throughout the Quad, a distant system on the brink of a bloody, multi-planetary class war.

Chris Grismer is a Canadian director and producer of film, television and music videos, now residing in Los Angeles. His credits include Designated Survivor, Killjoys, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, The Nine Lives of Chloe King, Playmakers, This Is Wonderland, Queer As Folk, Pretty Little Liars and Deputy. As a music video director, he has directed videos for Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, Metric, Stars, Death From Above 1979, Magneta Lane, The Fembots and Motion City Soundtrack. He was nominated for a Gemini Award in 2009 for his work on Being Erica.

The Seventh Doctor and Ace visit a human colony on the planet Terra Alpha, where the planet's secret police force, the Happiness Patrol, roam the streets hunting down and killing so-called 'Killjoys'. The colony is governed by Helen A, who is obsessed with eliminating unhappiness. Also in her employment is the Kandy Man, a grotesque, sweet-based robot created by Gilbert M, one of Helen A's senior advisers. The Doctor and Ace meet an unhappy guard Susan Q, who becomes an ally, and Earl Sigma, a wandering harmonica player.

Knudsen played Ryan in The Barrens, co-starring True Blood's Stephen Moyer, which was released in late 2012. He portrayed teen tech genius Alec Sadler in the Canadian science fiction series Continuum, along with Rachel Nichols and Victor Webster, and was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for the role for two consecutive years at the Saturn Awards. He appears in Bon Cop, Bad Cop 2, the horror feature Darker Than Night, as well as Stephen King- based sci-fi TV series The Mist, and space adventure drama series Killjoys.

Kennedy had a recurring role on the PBS Kids television show Odd Squad (2014–2017). She has also made appearances on numerous other shows, including, Copper, The Ron James Show, Hannibal, Between, Murdoch Mysteries, Killjoys, and Taken. Kennedy has appeared in the films An Officer and a Murderer (2012), The Captive (2014), Cut Bank (2014), Lavender (2016), American Fable (2016), Odd Squad: The Movie (2016), and XX (2017). She has also starred in the short films, The Offering (2012), To Look Away (2013), Dorsal (2014), and Sunny Side Up (2017).

My Chemical Romance released their fourth and final studio album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, on November 22, 2010. While touring for the album, Way collaborated with Squier to release a signature Mikey Way Fender Mustang Bass. In an interview with MusicRadar, Way commented on his signature bass: "I had been sponsored by Fender through most of my time in MCR. I had contacted them about making a custom bass and they hit me back saying they wanted to give me a signature model".

The band underwent line-up changes with Larsen replaced on drums in 1993 by Dave Folley (ex-the Somerfields); Hohnen was replaced by David Nelson on bass guitar and Schwerkolt left in 1995. Early in that year Gary Aspinall joined on guitar, mandolin and organ (ex-Odolites, the Somerfields). In November 1997 the Killjoys issued a single, "Save Me", ahead of their third album, Sun Bright Deep (March 1998), which was co-produced by the group and Victor Van Vugt. At the ARIA Music Awards of 1998 it was nominated for Best Adult Contemporary Album.

Of wider long term significance were The Killjoys, who were led by future Dexys Midnight Runners singer Kevin Rowland and grew out of an earlier band called Lucy and the Lovers in 1976. The success of their wild and snarling first single "Johnny won't go to Heaven" in 1977 saw the NME declare Rowland to be Johnny Rotton's successor as the voice of punk protest, but Rowland was already expressing dissatisfaction with punk's uniformity, complaining that "The original idea of punk was to be different and say what you wanted ... not just to copy everybody else". By 1978, in an early sign of the uncompromising eccentricity of Rowland's later career, the Killjoys were inspiring the hatred of punk audiences by performing Bobby Darin covers and country and western music at punk venues like London's 100 Club. Birmingham's Charged GBH were, alongside Stoke-on-Trent's Discharge and Edinburgh's The Exploited, one of the three dominant bands of the second wave of British punk, which emerged at the start of the 1980s and "took it from the art schools and into the council estates", reacting against the perceived commercialisation of earlier punk to produce music that was "brutal, fast and very aggressive".

Daniel Dennett says that people who study animal behavior fall into two camps, 'romantics' and 'killjoys'. Heyes is regarded by romantics as a killjoy. Frans de Waal, a long-standing critic, believes that Heyes takes simple explanations for animal behavior too seriously, and engages in "theoretical acrobatics". Evolutionary anthropologists, Dan Sperber and Olivier Morin, portray Heyes as a "a forceful critic of the Evolutionary Psychology approach defended by Cosmides, Tooby, Pinker and others", and commend her predictive power: "Having defended empiricism when the odds were lowest, Cecilia Heyes reaps the rewards of a series of wise bets".

Their debut album Boat Without A Sail was released in April 2008 through Green/MGM, and was Album of The Week on ABC Tasmania. The album was recorded over three years at Audrey Studios and engineered and co-produced by Craig Pilkington from The Killjoys. The first single from the album, White Skin, was played on several ABC radio stations around Australia, and was Single Of The Week in Melbourne's Beat Magazine.Beat Magazine, Melbourne, Issue 1099, 23 January 2008 Basic Shape is based primarily on the songwriting partnership of guitarist Mick Carney and singer Gerry Eeman.

Shortly after the album's release, Pelissier was replaced by Bob Bryar. A commercial success, the album was awarded platinum status over a year later. The band eclipsed the success of their previous albums with their 2006 concept album, The Black Parade, which gained generally favorable reviews among music critics and was certified double platinum in the United States and the United Kingdom, the band's only double platinum. After the departure of long-time drummer Bob Bryar in March 2010, the band released their fourth studio album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, in November that same year, to positive reviews.

In addition to his work with Meat Loaf, Miceli has recorded with Adam Lambert (For Your Entertainment, "Time for Miracles"), Foxy Shazam ("Count Me Out"), Nine Days, Marchello/The Good Rats (with whom he toured under the former name), and Kerry Ellis (Anthems). Most recently, Miceli did most of the drum work on the My Chemical Romance release Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. He has also toured with Blue Öyster Cult and Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow (1997 U.S. tour). He also appeared in the live band for the Las Vegas run of the Queen musical We Will Rock You.

Emily Andras created the Wynonna Earp series after her work on Lost Girl, where she was showrunner and executive producer of seasons 3 and 4. She served as an executive consulting producer in its fifth and final season, and was a writer and consulting producer for the first two seasons. Prior to Lost Girl, she served on Instant Star as showrunner and executive producer, for which she began as a junior writer on the series. Prior to Wynonna Earp being greenlit, she was a writer and consulting producer on Killjoys during its development and first season.

Iero joined My Chemical Romance in 2002 and was featured on two tracks, "Honey, This Mirror Isn't Big Enough for the Two of Us" and "Early Sunsets Over Monroeville", on their debut album I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love. Iero performed on the band's second studio album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, released on June 8, 2004. My Chemical Romance released their third studio album, The Black Parade, on October 24, 2006. My Chemical Romance's fourth and final studio album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys was released on November 22, 2010.

Kevin Rowland (vocals, a trained hairdresser), Ghislaine "Gil" Weston (a.k.a. "Gem", bass guitar), and Mark Philips (guitar) had been members of the mid-1970s Roxy Music-inspired band Lucy & the Lovers.Ogg, Alex (2006) No More Heroes: a Complete History of UK Punk from 1976 to 1980, Cherry Red Books, With the advent of punk rock, Rowland wrote new songs and started The Killjoys, adding Heather Tonge (backing vocals) and Joe 45 (Lee Burton, drums).Strong, Martin C. (2003) The Great Indie Discography, Canongate, The band relocated to London and took up lodgings in a disused branch of Barclays Bank.

Temple Street’s next fictional series is a co-production with Space and American cable channel SyFy which premiered in 2015. The special included other famous guests such as Tony Hawk and Tori Spelling. Gerard Way at the festival Big Day Out in February 2012 in Australia In February 2012, members of My Chemical Romance revealed that they had been building a studio in Los Angeles to record music for the band's fifth album under the working title MCR5, now with touring keyboardist James Dewees as an official member. The band worked with engineer Doug McKean, who previously worked on The Black Parade and Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. On September 14, 2012, Frank Iero announced through the band's official website a new project titled Conventional Weapons.

Damaged Goods records formed in 1988 from a living room in east London. The first release was a re-issue of the 1977 single by Slaughter and the Dogs, "Where Have All the Bootboys Gone?". Following positive reviews in the UK music press it was followed by a reissue of the same band's debut album Do It Dog Style. Releases by Adam and the Ants, The Killjoys, Pork Dukes, and Snivelling Shits followed. Damaged Goods was originally intended to be a punk re-issue label but by 1990 was releasing contemporary bands, including a single by The Sect, and an EP by Manic Street Preachers.

Dexys Midnight Runners were founded in 1978 in Birmingham, England by Kevin Rowland (vocals, guitar, at the time using the pseudonym Carlo Rolan)Gimarc, George (2005) Punk Diary: The Ultimate Trainspotter's Guide to Underground Rock 1970–1982, Backbeat Books, and Kevin "Al" Archer (vocals, guitar). Both had been in the short-lived punk band the Killjoys. Rowland had previously written a Northern soul-style song that the two of them sang, "Tell Me When My Light Turns Green", which became the first Dexys "song". The band's name was derived from Dexedrine, a brand of dextroamphetamine used as a recreational drug among Northern soul fans to give them energy to dance all night.

Lorde's work has also proved to be an inspiration to feminists working on the subject of feminist killjoys, and the trope of the angry black woman, often used as an excuse to belittle or reduce the impact of just concerns about racism. Lorde's poems often draw attention to the universalising tendencies of some white feminisms, so in a poem about a mythical woman, 'A Woman Speaks,' only at the end does Lorde draw attention to the problematic universal, white woman, adding > I am woman and not white.

A mockumentary presented as "lost footage" of a 1970s-era documentary, the series focuses on the Neddeaus, a family who have lived in isolation on a remote Northern Ontario island and are being profiled in a documentary by filmmaker Ford Francis Mayflower. Katherine East is a Canadian–British actress. Her television and film credits include a variety of shows, among others Puck Hogs, My Babysitter's a Vampire (TV series), Being Erica, GravyTrain, Runaway, Blindness, MVP, Guns, Da Kink in My Hair, Puppets Who Kill, Puck Hogs, The Ron James Show, Covert Affairs, Saving Hope, Degrassi: The Next Generation, Sensitive Skin (Canadian TV series), Killjoys, 12 Monkeys (TV series), Cheerleader Death Squad (Pilot) and The Bill. She has also appeared on stage in various productions in Canada, the United Kingdom and Georgia. She was raised in the Indigenous community of Killarney (Shebahonaning) in Northern Canada - an isolated 500 person fishing village complete with a general store, a one-room schoolhouse and frozen lake roads.

Sea Stories were one of a number of promising Melbourne bands that emerged in the late 1980s and early 1990s that also included, amongst others, The Glory Box, Ripe, Helvelln, Autohaze, The Fauves, The Killjoys, The Hollowmen and Pray TV. The band released the mini album To Light the Home Fires on Rampant Records in 1987 and then followed it up with the 12-inch EP Secret World in 1988. The band released two albums, Miller's Pond and Wide Eyed and Dreaming in 1990 and 1991 on I.R.S. Records. In 1993 the band released the EP Junior on Polydor. In March 1993 the band played a month-long residency of Wednesday nights at the Evelyn Hotel in Brunswick Street, Fitzroy.

Gerard first announced the project, that would be co-written with Shaun Simon, at the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con and in 2012 New York Comic Con stated that artist Becky Cloonan would be producing the artwork. He commented that the comic would serve as the final part of the story and that it would not be "as frantic as what people are going to expect". Way also described the story as "a coming of age story about a young girl" and that she would be "[choosing] her own path". On July 21, 2020 Way announced that the original concept of the comic would be created in a new series titled The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys: National Anthem.

In any event the whole affair was a great success and, as many > people commented afterwards 'it was a smashing bit of crumpet'. The sketch angered the strongly-conservative Member of Parliament Sir Cyril Black, who wrote to the BBC to complain. Frank Gillard, the BBC's director of radio, wrote to Dennis Morris, the chief of the Light Programme, asking Round the Horne to "watch its step, particularly over the next few weeks and keep itself within reasonable bounds". Instead, Took and Feldman wrote a riposte that Horne read at the end of the following programme, addressed to the "minority of killjoys" who complained: > Let me say to them that our scripts are whiter than white, as is the face of > the producer when he reads them.

She recovered fast enough to complete a Japanese tour, to do other European shows supporting Rainbow on their Difficult to Cure tour and to start working on new material for the next album. However, the gruelling schedule of recordings, promotional work and concerts had started to take its toll on the group, with bassist Enid Williams the first to give up, right after the release of Wildlife in March 1982, an EP designed to launch the upcoming album. On the recommendation of Lemmy, Williams was replaced by Ghislaine 'Gil' Weston, former bassist of the punk band The Killjoys. Girlschool's third album Screaming Blue Murder was recorded in February and March 1982 under the direction of Nigel Gray, the successful producer of The Police and The Professionals.

West Kootenay Roller Derby (WKRD) is a roller derby league based in The Kootenays region of British Columbia in Canada. Co-founded in 2009 as the West Kootenay Women's Roller Derby League (WKWRDL) by Shelly "Hoar Frost" Grice- Gold, the league consists of five house teams, and an all-star travel team which competes against teams from other leagues for national standings. The league has skaters from Castlegar, Fruitvale, Kaslo, Nakusp, Nelson, New Denver, Rossland, Salmo, Slocan City, Trail and Ymir."About", WKWRDL Different teams represent the various communities; for example, the Dam City Rollers are linked to Castlegar, the Killjoys to Nelson, and the Babes of Brutality to Salmo. Shortly after their 2002 release with Eyeball Records, Pencey Prep disbanded and Iero began playing with the bands I Am A Graveyard and Give Up The Ghost, before landing a spot as rhythm guitarist with My Chemical Romance. He joined My Chemical Romance days before they began recording their 2002 debut album I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, also released under Eyeball Records. The experience Iero gained from playing live with Pencey Prep, according to Laura La Bella's biography My Chemical Romance "bec[a]me invaluable when the band eventually booked live shows other than basement parties." Keyboardist Simon went on to tour with My Chemical Romance, as well as co-author the 2013 comic-book series The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys with Gerard Way.

Rose at the left Rose first attracted attention for her portrayal of Katie Matlin in Degrassi: The Next Generation. She was cast in 2010, with no previous acting experience; she left the show in 2013, after three seasons. Following her departure from Degrassi, Rose went on to play a variety of guest roles in several television series, including Rookie Blue (2012–2014), Lost Girl (2013), Killjoys (2015), and Dark Matter (2015). In addition to her work in television, Rose has starred in a string of independent films. Her first film role was as Juliet Hope in The Lesser Blessed, directed by Anita Doron, which premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival. In 2014, she starred alongside Erin Sanders in the made-for-television film Guilty at 17.

Morrison was featured in My Chemical Romance's music videos "Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)" and "Sing" from their 2010 album Danger Days: True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys as the concept's villain Korse. Morrison was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2012 Birthday Honours for services to film and literature.

The Glory Box were one of a number of promising Melbourne bands that emerged in the late 1980s and early 1990s that also included, amongst others, Underground Lovers, Ripe, Autohaze, The Fauves, The Killjoys, The Hollowmen, Sea Stories and Pray TV. The Glory Box were: Matt Aston (vocals), Daniel Haskell (bass), Robert Caflisch (drums), Will Johnston (guitarist), Kieran Doolan (guitar). Doolan left the band in May 1992 and was replaced on guitar by Eugene Biankin. Their debut 7" vinyl single "Raining Embers/My Friend" was released in March 1989 on Mouth & Vinnie Records. This was followed by another 7" vinyl single "Regrets/One Picture", also released on Mouth & Vinnie Records in December 1989 as part of a single-giveaway at the Punters Club. "Regrets'"was also re-recorded for the 5 track 'Donkey' EP, which was released on Polyester Records in September 1990 on 12" vinyl only. Another 7" vinyl single 'Precipice/Day After Day' was released on Shock Records in April 1991 as part of a single-giveaway gig at The Tote Hotel.
