Jean Carbonnier was particularly well known in Canada and Italy. As a professor, he also often referenced to foreign legal systems, such as Germany or Italy. Apart from his academic career, Jean Carbonnier was also a writer: his book Les incertitudes du jeune Saxon. Une autofiction de Jean Carbonnier was published posthumously, in 2011.

The gallery, known as Jean Désert, was open from 1922 to 1930. During this time, in 1926, Sorère and Fuller accompanied Queen Marie on a tour of the United States. The following year, Fuller became ill during the filming of Les Incertitudes de Coppélius and production was broken off while Sorère nursed her. The film was based upon E. T. A. Hoffmann's story, The Sandman and featured the dancers of Fuller's troupe.

This fiction shows that Jean Carbonnier was not only a theorist, but also an author of literature. This element can be perceived while reading his theoretical works about law, since he always explained his thoughts with an elegant and precise way of writing. Les incertitudes du jeune Saxon represents at the same time a fiction (sort of Bildungsroman) and a reflection about law and history. This work is also linked with the story of his own family and tastes.

Fuller was the performer of the duo and Sorère worked as a stage designer and invented mechanical props, branching into filmmaking. The two women would make three films together, Le Lys de la vie (The Lily of Life, 1921), Visions des rêves (Visions of dreams, 1924) and Les Incertitudes de Coppélius (Uncertainties of Coppelius, 1927). Le Lys de la vie was a silent film, based upon a story written by Queen Marie of Romania, a close friend of the couple and is the only one of the films which survived. When she was not collaborating with Fuller, Sorère ran the furniture gallery and interior decorating salon owned by Eileen Gray.

Le Bon in 1929, aged eighty-eight Le Bon continued writing throughout World War I, publishing Enseignements Psychologiques de la Guerre Européenne (1915), Premières conséquences de la guerre: transformation mentale des peuples (1916) and Hier et demain. Pensées brèves (1918) during the war. He then released Psychologie des Temps Nouveaux (1920) before resigning from his position as Professor of Psychology and Allied Sciences at the University of Paris and retiring to his home. He released Le Déséquilibre du Monde, Les Incertitudes de l'heure présente and L'évolution actuelle du monde, illusions et réalités in 1923, 1924 and 1927 respectively, giving in them his views of the world during the volatile interwar period.
