The Gaelic Athletic Association/Gaelic Players Association Young Hurler of the Year (known for sponsorship reasons as the PwC GAA/GPA Young Hurler of the Year, or simply the Young Hurler of the Year) is an annual award given to the player aged 21 or under at the start of the season who is adjudged to have been the best during the All-Ireland Championship. The award has been presented since the 1996 All-Ireland Championship and the winner is chosen by a vote amongst the members of the players' trade union, the Gaelic Players Association (GPA). The GAA-GPA All-Star Hurler of the Year is a hurling award presented to the player voted as best in the country by all the players from around Ireland. It began in 1995 and honours the achievements of a hurler of outstanding excellence. On 9 March 2014, Blanchfield scored a point when St. Kieran's College suffered a 2-13 to 0-13 defeat by Kilkenny CBS in the Leinster final. On 5 April 2014, he was switched to centre-forward for the All-Ireland final against Kilkenny CBS and collected a winners' medal following the 2-16 to 0-13 victory.

On 5 April 2014, he lined out at right wing-back when St. Kieran's College defeated Kilkenny CBS to win the Dr. Croke Cup. On 28 February 2015, Cleere won a Leinster Championship medal when he lined out at centre-back when St. Kieran's College defeated St. Peter's College by 1-14 to 1-06 in the final.
Red Wilson Field is the official home of the Sinker Burger, the Hurler Burger, and the Boston Screamer. Introduced during the 2004 season, the Sinker is a hamburger served on a lightly toasted cake doughnut, with three varieties: inside, down-the-middle, and outside (cinnamon, powder, and plain). The Hurler, also introduced in 2004, is a hamburger patty served between the halves of a jelly doughnut, finished with a squirt of canned cheese. The Boston Screamer, which made its official debut in 2010, is a hamburger served on a Boston cream doughnut.
Lynch first came to prominence as a hurler with Ardscoil Rís in Limerick. Having played in every grade as a hurler, he was just fifteen-year-old when he was selected for the college's senior hurling team. On 27 February 2011, Lynch was introduced as a substitute when Ardscoil Rís won the Harty Cup title after a 3-19 to 0-03 defeat of C.B.S. Charleville in the final. He was also introduced as a substitute in the subsequent 2-10 to 1-11 defeat by St. Kieran's College in the All-Ireland final.
Another solid performance at centre-back resulted in a second All-Star award, while he also became the third Galway player to win the Texaco Hurler of the Year. While Keady was now regarded as the best hurler in the country, all of this was about to change in 1989. Shortly after collecting a second National League medal he travelled to the United States to play an exhibition game for Laois against Tipperary. This was common practice at the time and the Galwayman was assured that he was eligible to do so.
He was also selected as the Texaco Hurler of the Year in 1977. At inter- provincial level, Coughlan was selected to play in several championship campaigns with Munster as dual player, with Railway Cup wins in 1972 as a Gaelic football and 1978 as a hurler. In retirement from playing Coughlan became involved in team management and coaching at club and inter-county levels in both hurling and Gaelic football. After guiding St. Catherine's to the Cork Junior Championship in 1983, he later had two unsuccessful seasons as coach of the Cork senior football team.
Gerard McGrattan (born 1972) is an Irish former hurler who played as a right wing-forward for the Down senior team. McGrattan made his first appearance for the team during the 1992 championship and quickly became a regular player until his retirement at the end of the 2004 championship. During that time he won three Ulster winners' medals and remains the only Down hurler to have won an All Stars Award. At club level McGrattan played with Portaferry, winning seven county championship winners' medals during a club career that spanned three decades.
Carey was always destined to be a hurler as many of his relatives had already shown great skill at the game. His aunt, Peggy Carey, won four All-Ireland camogie titles with Kilkenny and his granduncle, Paddy Phelan, was an iconic hurler of the 1930s and was selected on the GAA Hurling Team of the Century and the GAA Team of The Millennium. Carey's big achievement outside sport is his successful business venture D.J. Carey Enterprises. Based in his home village of Gowran, this is a wholesale company that sells hygiene products to other businesses.
The Seán Lovett Cup was presented to the championship winners for the first time in 1990, when, perhaps appropriately, Kilmoyley succeeded in retaining the title. This Cup commemorates a great Kilmoyley hurler and club man who also played hurling and football with Kerry from the late 1940s to the 1960s. Previously the Corn Mac Giolla Dia in memory of a former Kerry hurler, Patrick Godley of Ballyheigue, had been awarded to the winners from 1960 onwards. This trophy was presented to the County Board by friends of the late Mr Godley from Chicago.
Rice first came to prominence as a hurler with St. Kieran's College in Kilkenny. Having played in every grade as a hurler, he was eventually called up the college's senior team. On 19 March 2000, Rice was an unused substitute when St. Kieran's College defeated Dublin Colleges2-13 to 1-10 to win the Leinster Championship. On 16 April 2000, he was an unused substitute once again when St. Kieran's College claimed the All-Ireland Championship following a 1-10 to 0-09 defeat of St. Flannan's College from Ennis in the final.

Kilkenny provided the opposition and went on to defeat Waterford by 3-30 to 1-13 to claim a third All-Ireland title in-a-row.

At the awards ceremony on 15 October 2010, Tipperary won six All Star awards, Brendan Cummins, Paul Curran, Brendan Maher, Noel McGrath, Lar Corbett and Eoin Kelly won awards. Lar Corbett was named All Stars Hurler of the year while Brendan Maher collected the All Stars Young hurler of the year award.

He was switched to left corner-back for the All- Ireland final against Ardscoil Rís on 2 April 2011 and ended the game with a winners' medal after the 2-11 to 2-08 victory.

Frank Wall was an Irish hurler, most notable for captaining the winning Dublin team that won the 1924 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship. A native of Freshford, County Kilkenny, he uniquely did not actually play in the final, having lost his place on the team.

Brendan C. Considine (21 February 1897 – 17 December 1983) was an Irish hurler, Gaelic footballer, rugby player and boxer who played as a left corner- forward for the Clare, Dublin, Cork and Waterford senior teams. He first played for Clare in 1914 and was a regular inter-county hurler until his retirement in 1930. Part of the famous Considine family that included his brothers Willie and Tull, Considine is regarded as one of Clare's greatest- ever hurlers. He won two All-Ireland winners' medals, winning his first as a seventeen-year-old in 1914 making him the youngest player ever to win an All- Ireland title.
Cahal Carvill (born 22 April 1987) is a Northern Irish hurler who plays as a centre-forward for the Armagh senior team. Carvill made his debut on the inter-county scene as a dual player for the Armagh minor teams. He played for several seasons in this grade, and won an Ulster Minor Football Championship medal as a Gaelic footballer, coming on as a late substitute in both the semi- final and final, and an All-Ireland medal as a hurler in the C competition. Carvill subsequently joined the Armagh under-21 hurling and football teams, winning an All-Ireland hurling medal at C level.
Corcoran is widely regarded as one of the greatest hurlers of his generation and second only to Christy Ring in terms of Cork's all-time greatest players, and second to the great Clare Hurler Seanie McMahon in terms of the country's all time outstanding centre backs. He has been repeatedly voted onto teams made up of the sport's greats, including at left corner-back on the Cork Hurling Team of the Century in 2000, while he was later chosen as one of the 125 greatest hurlers of all-time in a 2009 poll. Don Hyland (born 28 January 1973) is a hurler from County Wicklow, Ireland. Widely regarded as Wicklow's greatest ever hurler, he played with the county team for almost 20 years, winning every other honour available to him at club and county level, including 7 Kehoe Cups, League, and 1 All-Ireland Senior B Hurling Championship. In 2009, Hyland retired from inter-county hurling after a crushing loss to Wesmeath in the Christy Ring Cup. But he returned in 2010 to help Wicklow win a NHL Div 3B title and reach the semi final of the Christy Ring Cup but lost out to Kerry on the day.
He also won two Leinster medals as a footballer and four Leinster medals as a hurler. Grace's brothers, - Jack and Dick - also had All-Ireland success in both codes with Kilkenny and Dublin. Between them, the three Grace brothers won a total of 15 All-Ireland medals.

William Barron (20 December 1914 - 22 July 1999) was an Irish hurler. At club level he played for Dungarvan, winning a Waterford Senior Championship title in 1941, and was the right wing-forward on the Waterford senior hurling team that lost the 1938 All-Ireland final.

John Leahy (born 16 September 1969 in Mullinahone) is a former Irish sportsperson. He played senior hurling with the Tipperary inter-county team from 1988 until 2003. He also represented Tipperary in all grades in Gaelic football. He is regarded as a great hurler in Mullinahone .
McGrath first came to prominence as a hurler with Our Lady's Secondary School in Templemore. On 6 December 2006, he scored 1-03 from midfield when Our Lady's Secondary School defeated De La Salle by 1-10 to 2-04 to win the Dean Ryan Cup.

Ronan Burke (born 3 June 1990) is an Irish hurler who currently plays as a full-back for the Galway senior team. On 3 September 2017, Burke was a non playing substitute for Galway as they won their first All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship in 29 years against Waterford.
Joseph Murphy was an Irish hurler. At club level he played for Ferrybank and was a substitute on the Waterford senior hurling team that won the 1948 All- Ireland Championship. Murphy's uncle, Charlie Ware, was a member of the Waterford team that lost the 1938 All-Ireland final.
Patrick "Pat" Leahy (born 1857) was an Irish hurler who played for the Tipperary senior team. Leahy made his first appearance for the team during the inaugural championship of 1887. During that successful year he won one All- Ireland medal. At club level Leahy played with Gortnahoe-Glengoole.
Nash ended the season with a second consecutive All-Star award. He was also nominated for Hurler of the Year. On 13 July 2014, Nash won his second Munster medal and his first on the field of play after a six-point defeat of Limerick in the final.

Kieran Bennett (born 21 November 1994) is an Irish hurler who plays for the Waterford senior team. Bennett made his championship debut for Waterford on 13 August 2017 in the 2017 All-Ireland semi-final win against Cork. His younger brothers, Stephen and Shane Bennett also play with Waterford.

Between 2013 and 2018 Goldrick worked for Vodafone Ireland in various roles including as a Vodafone Foundation executive and mobile app developer. She has also worked as a brand ambassador for both Lidl and AIG. Goldrick is in a relationship with the Dublin and Cuala hurler, David Treacy.
Darren Sweetnam (born 5 May 1993) is an Irish rugby union player for Munster in the Pro14 and European Rugby Champions Cup. He plays as a wing but can also play fullback. Sweetnam is also a former inter-county hurler with Cork and has played underage hockey for Ireland.
John Lanigan (17 June 1912 - October 1988) was an Irish hurler. His league and championship career with the Tipperary senior team lasted five seasons from 1936 to 1940. Born in Rossmore, County Tipperary, Lanigan enjoyed his first hurling successes with Thurles CBS. Here he won a Harty Cup medal.
John Gleeson (22 June 1910 - December 1970) was an Irish hurler. He played with his local club Roscrea and was a member of the Tipperary senior inter- county team in the late 1930s. Gleeson won a set of All-Ireland and Munster winners' medals with Tipperary in 1937.
Neilus Flynn was a hurler who played hurling with Causeway in Co Kerry. He was the club's first Kerry Senior Hurling Championship-winning captain in 1932. He also captained St Brendan's to County Championship success in 1936. In 1987 his family donated a cup to the Kerry County Board.
Greg Fives (1949 - 15 October 2008) was an Irish Gaelic footballer and hurler. Born in Abbeyside, County Waterford, Fives first played competitive Gaelic football and hurling in his youth. At club level he played with Abbeyside/Ballinacourty. In retirement from playing Fives became involved in team management and coaching.
In 2017, he became the third- fastest hurler to record 2,000 strikeouts, and the fourth to strike out 250 or more in four consecutive seasons. Scherzer recorded more wins (161) and strikeouts (2,503) than any pitcher in the 2010s. He recorded one immaculate inning each in 2017 and 2018.
Kelly was later honoured with his first All-Star, while he was also named Vodafone Young Hurler of the Year. Tipperary surrendered their Munster crown to Waterford in 2002, before later exiting the championship with a defeat by Kilkenny at the semi-final stage. In spite of ending the year with no silverware, Kelly later collected a second All-Star while he retained the title of Young Hurler of the Year. Tipperary's fortunes took a downturn over the next few years, however, on a personal level Kelly picked up three more successive All-Stars between 2004 and 2006, joining Pat Hartigan as only the second player to win five All- Stars by the age of twenty-four.
Thomas Aherne (26 January 1919 – 30 December 1999), also referred to as Bud Aherne, was an Irish footballer and hurler. He played football for Belfast Celtic and Luton Town and was a dual internationalist, playing for both Ireland teams – the IFA XI and the FAI XI. In 1949 he was a member of the FAI XI that defeated England 2–0 at Goodison Park, becoming the first non-UK team to beat England at home. As a hurler he also played one game for Limerick. After retiring as a player Aherne settled in Luton where he coached the Luton Town youth team, worked in the local car industry and ran a very successful licensed premises.

Sanfilippo presented the results of the study at the annual American Pediatric Society Meeting in May 1963, and published a report later that year. He entered the private practice of Pediatrics in April 1962, but continued his research at the University of Minnesota for several more years.
Walsh began his inter-county career as a member of the Cork senior hurling team. After emigrating from Ireland he subsequently linked up with the London senior hurling team. As an inter-county hurler he has won one Christy Ring Cup winners' medal and one Nicky Rackard Cup winners' medal.
John Mockler (born 1866) was an Irish hurler who played for the Tipperary senior team. Mockler was a member of the team for just one season during the 1887 championship. It was a successful season as he secured an All-Ireland medal that year. It was Tipperary's first All-Ireland title.
During his studies at University College Cork, Lawton enjoyed success as a hurler, beginning with an All-Ireland Freshers Championship title in his first year. On 2 March 2013, he won a Fitzgibbon Cup medal after a 2-17 to 2-12 defeat of Mary Immaculate College in the final.
Darren Gleeson (born 19 March 1981) is an Irish hurler and manager who plays for Tipperary Senior Championship club Portroe and is currently managing the Antrim senior hurling team. He played for the Tipperary senior hurling team for 10 seasons, during which time he usually lined out as a goalkeeper.
Shane Murphy (born 19 August 1983 in Glounthaune, County Cork, Ireland) is an Irish hurler. He plays hurling with his local club Erin's Own and is a substitute Right Corner Back for the Cork Inter-County Team. He made his debut for Cork in 2007 in a game against Waterford.
Hunt became known for his creative and skilful play as well as his work rate as a winger. Although born in Laois, Hunt grew up in Clonea-Power, Waterford. He was a talented under-age hurler and soccer player. He played for Waterford hurlers at under-15 and under-16 levels.
Dean Brosnan (born 24 June 1991) is an Irish hurler who plays for Cork Senior Championship club Glen Rovers. He was a member of the Cork senior hurling team for three seasons, during which time he usually lined as a forward, either in the half-forward or full-forward line.
David O'Callaghan (born 18 October 1983) is an Irish hurler who plays at right corner forward on the Dublin county team. He is a former dual player having represented the Dublin county football team between 2003 and 2007. O'Callaghan currently plays his club hurling for his home club St Marks.
Kevin O'Reilly (born 1987) is hurler for the Dublin senior team and Lucan Sarsfields. Kevin was named on the 2007 3rd Level All-Star XV for DIT due to his performance in the Fitzgibbon Cup. O'Reilly was named on the Dublin Blue Stars team for 2006 and also in 2011.
Dr. John Ryan (23 March 1890 – 1 April 1943) was an Irish hurler and physician, most notable for captaining the winning Dublin team that won the 1917 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship. A native of County Wexford, none of his Collegians teammates on the Dublin team were from Dublin either.
Daniel Kennefick (5 May 1888 - 29 May 1960) was an Irish hurler. He lined out at club level with St Mary's and was also a member of the Cork senior hurling team. His son, Mick Kennefick, also played with Cork and became the youngest All-Ireland-winning captain in 1943.
As a hurler, Grace was a three-time Leinster medal winner. Grace's brothers, - Pierce and Dick - also had All-Ireland success in both codes with Kilkenny and Dublin. Between them, the three Grace brothers have a total of 15 All-Ireland medals. Grace died from pneumonia on 9 March 1915.
Niall O'Leary (born 1998) is an Irish hurler who plays for club side Castlelyons, divisional side Imokilly and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. He is usually deployed as a corner-back, but can also be deployed as a full-back or as a centre-back.
Murphy joined the Mallow club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels, enjoying championship success in under-14 and under-16 grades. He later won North Cork Under-21 Championship medals as a hurler in 2013 and as a Gaelic footballer in 2014.
Paddy Healy was an Irish hurler. His championship career with the Cork senior team lasted just one season in 1919. Healy was added to the Cork senior panel for the 1919 championship. It was a successful season for the team, with Healy winning his sole All-Ireland medal that year.
Martin McNamara (born 1864) was an Irish hurler who played for the Tipperary senior team. McNamara was a member of the team for just one season during the 1887 championship. It was a successful season as he secured an All-Ireland medal that year. It was Tipperary's first All-Ireland title.
Eddie John "E. J." O'Sullivan was an Irish hurler whose championship career with the Cork senior team spanned four seasons from 1946 to 1949. Born in Blackrock, Cork, O'Sullivan first played competitive hurling in his youth. He quickly became involved with the Blackrock club, eventually becoming a key member of the senior team.
Niall O'Brien (born 1994) is an Irish hurler who plays as a right corner- forward for the Westmeath senior team. O'Brien made his first appearance for the team during the 2012 championship and immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen. At club level O'Brien plays with the Castletown Geoghegan club.
Lawton first came to prominence as a hurler with Midleton CBS Secondary School. Having played for the various college team in every grade, he was at midfield on the senior team. On 12 March 2006, Lawton won a Harty Cup medal after a 2-08 to 0-12 defeat of St. Flannan's College.

William O'Neill (30 August 1876 - 24 April 1963) was an Irish hurler and Gaelic footballer who played for Cork Championship clubs William O'Brien's and Sarsfields. He was also a member of the Cork senior teams as a dual player for over a decade during which time he usually lined out as a forward.
McNulty first came to prominence as a hurler during his secondary schooling at Tramore CBS. He played in every grade of hurling with the school and enjoyed county championship success in the under-15 grade in March 2008 following a 3-11 to 2-06 defeat of Abbey Community School from Ferrybank.
Kevin Campbell is a hurler. He plays for Setanta and the Donegal county team. Campbell won a Donegal Senior Hurling Championship with Setanta in 2017. Setanta followed this up with an Ulster Junior Club Hurling Championship , also in 2017, with Campbell scoring 0–11 (all frees) in the final against Na Magha.
Terence Kelly (1934 – 25 November 2019) was an Irish hurler who played for a number of clubs, including Tracton and Blackrock in Cork and Éire Óg in Dublin. He played for the Cork senior hurling team at various times between 1953 and 1963, during which time he usually lined out as a forward.
Conor Allis (born 8 March 1990) is an Irish hurler who currently plays as a Centre-forward for the Limerick senior team. Allis made his senior championship debut for Limerick against Tipperary on 27 May 2012 in a 1-19 to 2-20 defeat at Semple Stadium, scoring two points in the game.
Throughout his career Cummins made 49 championship appearances. His retirement came following Kilkenny's defeat in the 1985 championship. Cummins is widely regarded as one of the greatest hurlers in the history of the game. Throughout his career he won four All-Star awards as well as Texaco Hurler of the Year in 1983.
Jeremiah "Jer" Dwyer (1854 - ?) was an Irish hurler who played for the Tipperary senior team. Dwyer made his first appearance for the team during the inaugural championship of 1887. During that successful year he won one All- Ireland medal. At club level Dwyer was a one-time county club championship medalist with Thurles.
Throughout his career O'Gorman, who generally played in the half-back line, won 1 All-Ireland title and 2 Leinster Championship titles (1996 and 1997). His minor contribution in 1996 earned him the title of Player of the Year, and Texaco hurler of the year. In 2004, O'Gorman retired from inter-county hurling.
For both club and county he usually played as a forward. Cassidy was also a talented hurler. Since retiring from playing football he has managed a number of teams. He guided home-club Bellaghy to success in the 2005 Derry Championship, and Tyrone club Clonoe O'Rahilly's to the Tyrone Championship in 2008.
Patrick Dwyer (19 December 1965) is an Irish sportsman who had a successful career as a hurler with Kilkenny and his local club Carrickshock in the 1990s. A strong and reliable full-back, he picked up All-Ireland medals in 1992 and 1993, as well as adding an All-Star medal in 1992.

Oliver Walsh (born 1992) is an Irish hurler who plays for Kilkenny Senior Championship club Dicksboro. He usually lines out at midfield. Walsh was the third generation of his family to play for the Kilkenny senior hurling team, with his grandfather, also named Ollie, and his father, Michael, being All- Ireland medal winners.
Connolly first came to prominence as a Gaelic footballer and hurler at juvenile and underage levels with St. Vincent's. He made his debut with the club's senior team in 2004. Since then Connolly has two All-Ireland Club Football medals. He has also won four Leinster medals and fours county championship medals.

Born in Blackrock Cork, Norberg was raised in a strong hurling family. His grandfather, Jer Norberg, won an All-Ireland medals with Cork in 1893.

Tadhg de Búrca (born 19 September 1994), sometimes referred to as Tadhg Bourke, is an Irish hurler who plays for Waterford Intermediate Championship club Clashmore-Kinsalebeg and at inter-county level with the Waterford senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a centre-back having previously enjoyed a role as a sweeper.
Besides, teammate Norman Cash batted .360, and was the leader in RBI (11), home runs (2) and slugging (.680), being named Most Valuable Player of the Series. The top hurler was Babe Birrer, who led all pitchers in wins (2-0), strikeouts (18) and ERA (1.25), including a 13-inning complete game victory.
Over the course of the next fifteen years he used his physical attributes to telling effect by punching many fine points in football and "catching high" and delivering many winning scores in hurling. As a hurler Cummins is credited with redefining and revolutionising the full-forward position throughout the 1970s. He was, at first, seen as the antithesis of what a full-forward should be, however, he did use the skills and space that were available to him and, in time, he became a deadly marksman in front of goal. He won his first All-Ireland medal as a hurler in 1970, added a second winners' medal to his collection in 1973 as a footballer before winning three hurling championships in-a-row from 1976 to 1978.
Nicholas Christopher Michael "Christy" Ring (30 October 1920 – 2 March 1979) was an Irish hurler whose league and championship career with the Cork senior team spanned twenty-four years from 1939 to 1963. He established many championship records, including career appearances (65), scoring tally (33-208) and number of All-Ireland medals won (8), however, these records were subsequently bested by Brendan Cummins, Eddie Keher and Henry Shefflin respectively. Ring is widely regarded as the greatest hurler in the history of the game, with many former players, commentators and fans rating him as the number one player of all time. Born in Cloyne, County Cork, Ring first played competitive hurling following encouragement from his local national school teachers Michael O'Brien and Jerry Moynihan.
Denis Coughlan (born 7 June 1945) is an Irish retired hurler, Gaelic footballer and manager who played for Cork Senior Championship clubs Glen Rovers and St. Nicholas'. As a dual player he played for the Cork senior teams for 15 years, during which time he played as a back, a midfielder and a forward. Coughlan is regarded as one of Cork's greatest-ever dual players. Coughlan began his career at club level as a hurler with Glen Rovers and as a Gaelic footballer with St. Nicholas'. His club career spanned three decades from the 1960s until the 1980s, the highlight of which was winning All-Ireland Club Championship medals with Glen Rovers in 1973 as captain and again in 1977.
St. Kieran's College. Reid first came to prominence as a hurler with St. Kieran's College in Kilkenny. Having played in every grade as a hurler, he was eventually called up the college's senior team. On 13 March 2004, Reid was an unused substitute when St. Kieran's College defeated St. Peter's College from Wexford by 0-13 to 1-04 to win the Leinster Championship. On 3 May 2004, he was an unused substitute once again when St. Kieran's College claimed the All-Ireland Championship following a 3-20 to 1-06 defeat of St. Raphael's College from Loughrea.. On 13 March 2005, Reid lined out at midfield when St. Kieran's College faced St. Brendan's Community School from Birr in the Leinster final.
Edmond Bowe (2 February 1865 - 7 April 1937) was an Irish hurler who played for the Tipperary senior team. Bowe was a member of the team for just one season during the 1887 championship. It was a successful season as he secured an All-Ireland medal that year. It was Tipperary's first All-Ireland title.

Robert "Robbie" Greville (born 1994) is an Irish hurler who plays as a left wing-back for the Westmeath minor and senior teams. Greville made his first appearance for the team during the 2012 championship and immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen. At club level Greville plays with the Raharney club.
He later joined the Cork senior hurling team, with whom he won All-Ireland medal and one Munster medal. Mackesy was an All-Ireland runner-up on four occasions. At club level Mackesy was a seven-time championship medallist as a footballer with Lees. As a hurler he also won six championship medals with Blackrock.
Callanan ended the season as the championship's top scorer with 9-50. He also received his first All-Star award but lost out to Richie Hogan in the race to be named Hurler of the Year. On 12 July 2015, Callanan was at full- forward when Tipperary qualified for a Munster final appearance against Waterford.
David O'Sullivan (born 5 November 1988 in Ballygunner) is an Irish hurler who plays for both the Waterford Inter-county hurling team and the Ballygunner GAA club. His brother Brian O'Sullivan is currently also a panel member on the Waterford Senior Hurling Team. He made his championship debut against Limerick on 12 June 2011.
Keith Rossiter (born 16 January 1984) is an Irish hurler and currently a selector with the Wexford senior hurling team. He plays for Wexford Senior Championship club Oulart-the Ballagh and was a member of the Wexford senior hurling team for 12 seasons, during which time he usually lined out as a full- back.
Coleman ended the season with an All-Star award. On 1 July 2018, Coleman won a second successive Munster medal following a 2-24 to 3-19 defeat of Clare in the final. He ended the season by being nominated for a second consecutive All-Star Award as well as Young Hurler of the Year.

Andrew Fahy is an Irish hurler who plays as a goalkeeper for the Clare senior team and plays club hurling for Whitegate. On 4 June 2017, Fahy started his first Championship game as Clare defeated Limerick in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship semi-final at Semple Stadium on a 2-16 to 3-17 scoreline.

Patrick Greene (1916 - 17 September 1997) was an Irish hurler. At club level he played for Mount Sion, winning several Waterford Senior Championship titles, and was a substitute on the Waterford senior hurling team that lost the 1938 All-Ireland final. His sons, Stephen and Jim, and his grandson, Brian, also played with Waterford.
Carroll made his Championship debut against Waterford in the Munster Championship in 2000. He won his first All-Star that year. 2001 proved to be a good year for Carroll as a hurler. He was a key member of the panel when Tipp won the National League, the Munster Championship and the All- Ireland Championship.

Edmond "Ned" Lambe (born 1866) was an Irish hurler who played for the Tipperary senior team. Lambe made his first appearance for the team during the inaugural championship of 1887. During that successful year he won one All- Ireland medal. At club level Lambe was a one-time county club championship medalist with Upperchurch-Drombane.
John Mike Dooley is a Hurler from Co. Kerry. He has played with the Kerry senior team and the Irish Hurling/Shinty Compromise International Rules team. He also plays with his local club, Causeway. He won a league medal with Kerry in 2001 score in a 4-14 to 3-10 win over Westmeath.
Christopher O'Leary (born 1 May 1997) is an Irish hurler who currently plays as a centre-back for the Cork senior team. Born in Innishannon, County Cork, O'Leary first played competitive hurling at Hamilton High School. Here he captained the senior hurling team in the Harty Cup. O'Leary later lined out with University College Cork.
Keith Raymond (born 1987) is an Irish hurler who plays as a centre-back for the Sligo senior team. Born in Sligo, Raymond first played competitive hurling at juvenile and underage levels with the Calry/St. Joseph's club. He later joined the club's senior team and has enjoyed much success, including four Connacht medals.
Pádraig Brehony (born 28 January 1993) is an Irish hurler who plays as a forward for the Galway senior team. At club level he plays with Tynagh- Abbey/Duniry. Brehony was part of the Galway minor team that won the All- Ireland title in 2011 where he scored 0-4 in the final against Dublin.

David Kavanagh (1 March 1887 – 5 August 1965) was an Irish hurler. His championship career with the Wexford team spanned the first two decades of the 20th century. Kavanagh was born in Ballylucas, County Wexford to the former Mary Murphy and John Kavanagh. After a brief education he spent his working life as a farmer.
Conor Matthew O'Donovan (born 1962) is an Irish retired hurler. His league and championship career with the Tipperary senior team lasted seven seasons from 1984 to 1991. Born in Effin, County Limerick, O'Donovan was raised in a strong hurling family. His uncle, Terry Moloney, was an All-Ireland runner-up with Tipperary in 1960.
John "Jack" Daly (born 1889) was an Irish hurler who played for the Laois senior team. Daly was a regular member of the starting fifteen during the successful 1915 championship campaign. That year he won one All-Ireland medal and one Leinster medal. At club level Daly enjoyed a lengthy career, playing with Rathdowney.
Tom (Tomásin) Nolan (born Clandouglas, Lixnaw, Co Kerry) was a hurler from Co Kerry. He played with the Kerry and the Crotta O'Neill's club. Nolan was at his best at midfield during Crotta's glorious period in the 1940s and early 1950s. During that time Crotta O'Neill's were one of the strongest sides in Kerry hurling.
Enda Galvin and a Gaelic footballer and hurler from County Kerry, Ireland. He plays his club football with his local club Finuge and with his divisional side Feale Rangers and has enjoyed much success. He also plays hurling with his local club Lixnaw. Galvin also played for the Kerry senior football team in 2000.
Michael Rice (born 27 January 1984) is an Irish hurling selector and hurler who plays for Kilkenny Intermediate Championship club Carrickshock. He was a member of the Kilkenny senior hurling team for 11 years, during which time he usually lined out at midfield. Rice is currently a selector with the Kilkenny under-20 hurling team.
Cathal O'Connell is an Irish hurler who plays as a forward for the Clare senior team. At club level he plays with Clonlara. O'Connell won the All- Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship in 2012, 2013 and 2014 with Clare, and was a member of the panel that won the 2013 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship.
Fan Barry was an Irish hurler. His championship career with the Cork senior team lasted from 1919 until 1920. Barry made his debut with the Cork senior team during the 1919 championship and was a regular member of the panel for the following two years. During this time he won his sole All-Ireland medal.
Niall Carew (born 1974) is an Irish Gaelic football manager and former Gaelic footballer and hurler. He has managed Waterford, Sligo and Carlow. Born in Staplestown, County Kildare, Carew first played competitive Gaelic football and hurling in his youth. At club level he played Gaelic football with St. Kevin's and hurling with Coill Dubh.
Robert McConkey (11 January 1895 - 5 January 1961) was an Irish hurler. His championship career with the Limerick senior team spanned sixteen years from 1918 until 1934. McConkey first played competitive hurling with the St. Patrick's club in Limerick. He later joined the Young Irelands club and won five county senior championship medals between 1920 and 1932.

Liam Bennett (1950–2006) was a former Wexford senior hurler. He was a Faythe Harriers club member and was a member of the Model side that reached successive All-Ireland finals in 1976 and 1977. He also won the All-Ireland minor final in 1968. He was a popular painter and sign-writer and was also a keen cyclist.
On 26 August 2018, both Tipperary and Cork faced each other again in the All-Ireland final. Browne ended the game with a winners' medal after scoring three points in the 3-13 to 1-16 victory. He ended the year by being named at midfield on the Team of the Year and u21 hurler of the year.
Johnny Everard (born 16 April 1924) is an Irish retired hurler and Gaelic footballer who played for Tipperary Championship club Moyne-Templetuohy. He was a member of the Tipperary senior teams in both codes for the 1949-50 league-championship season. Following the death of John Coffey in August 2019, Everard became the oldest living All-Ireland medal winner.
Born in Duniry, County Galway, Kenny was one of a family of ten consisting of six boys and four girls. He was educated locally and later worked at Larkin's Shop in Lisheen. He later moved to Tynagh to work in the business of fellow inter-county hurler Ignatius Harney. Kenny later received a Land Commission farm in Portumna.
Joe Brady (born 12 July 1982 in Coolderry, County Offaly) is an Irish Hurler. He currently plays with his local club Coolderry GAA. He is on the Offaly Hurling Squad and captained the Coolderry 2004 Offaly Senior Hurling Championship winning team, he won 2 other titles in 2010 and 2011 and also won a Leinster title in 2011.
Kearney first came to prominence as a hurler with Blackwater Community School where he played in every grade of hurling. On 23 November 2011, he lined out at midfield when Blackwater CS defeated Dungarvan CBS by 0-11 to 0-08 to win the Dean Ryan Cup. Kearney also lined out for the school in the Harty Cup.
Greg Lally (born 7 February 1988) is an Irish hurler who currently plays as a midfielder for the Galway senior team. Born in Gort, County Galway, Lally first played competitive hurling in his youth. He was a key member of the Gort Community School senior team. At club level he is a two-time championship medallist with Gort.
Danny Cullen (born 1987/8) is a hurler. He plays for Setanta, the Donegal county team and the Ireland national team. Cullen's grandfather, Danny Snr, was a founder of Setanta in 1979. He (the grandson) won a Donegal Senior Hurling Championship in 2017. Setanta followed this with an Ulster Junior Club Hurling Championship, also in 2017.
Eddie Mackey (born 1979) is an Irish hurler who played as a centre-back for the Kilkenny senior team. Mackey joined the team during the 2003 National League and was a regular member of the team for just two seasons. During that time he failed to win any honours at senior level. At club level Mackey plays with Mooncoin.
Ken Coogan (born 1983) is an Irish hurler who played as a midfielder for the Kilkenny senior team. Coogan joined the team during the 2003 championship and made just one appearance during his two seasons of inter-county hurling. During that time he won one All-Ireland winners' medal. At club level Coogan plays with the Tullaroan club.

Joe's family instilled a love of hurling in him, and he was a talented underage hurler and rugby player. Canning was educated locally, before going on to study Business and Marketing at the Limerick Institute of Technology.
Patrick "Pat" Herbert (born 1953) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a left corner-back for the Limerick senior team. Herbert was born in Castleconnell, County Limerick. His senior debut came during the 1977 championship. Herbert immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won one Munster medal and two National Hurling League medals.

Seanie O'Shea was a footballer and hurler from Killarney Co Kerry. He played with the Kerry inter-county hurling team during the 1990s. He played in the famous 1993 Munster Championship win over Waterford. He won an All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship with Dr Crokes in 1992, and returned as a trainer in later years.
James Galvin was an Irish hurler. At club level he played for Clonea, winning a Waterford Senior Championship title in 1952, and was a substitute on the Waterford senior hurling team that won the 1948 All-Ireland Championship. Galvin's brother, Billy, was also a member of the team while his nephew, John Galvin, also played for Waterford.

It was McDonnell's first All-Ireland medal. He finished the year by becoming the youngest recipient of the Texaco Hurler of the Year award. After a less successful season under McDonnell's captaincy in 1971, McDonnell had more success in 1972 when he won a third league medal following a 3–14 to 2–14 defeat of Limerick.
James Fives (born April 1929) is an Irish retired hurler and Gaelic footballer. His league and championship career with the Waterford and Galway senior teams lasted ten years from 1949 until 1959. In 1984, Fives was named as captain on a special Hurling Team of the Century made up of players who never won an All-Ireland medal.
Fennelly also won nine Leinster medals, five National Hurling League medals and was named All-Star and Texaco Hurler of the Year in 2011. He was later joined on the Kilkenny team by his brother Colin. Fennelly announced his retirement from inter-county hurling on 29 December 2017 and from club hurling on 28 May 2020.
Thomas Allen (4 September 1874 - 20 June 1952) was an Irish hurler. His championship career with the Tipperary senior team spanned several seasons from 1900 until 1907. Born in Littleton, County Tipperary, Allen was the third of five children born to William and Catherine Allen (née Purcell). He was educated locally before later working as a farmer.
Johnny Pilkington (born 31 July 1970) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a right wing-forward for the Offaly senior hurling team. The hurler had to settle for a no- hitter and became the only perfect game pitcher to throw another no-hitter in the same season, and the fifth with two no-hitters. Halladay is the second pitcher to throw a perfect game and win the Cy Young Award in the same season; Sandy Koufax did so in 1965.
He later won a second successive All-Star while he also made a clean sweep of the three Hurler of the Year awards. Tipperary reclaimed the provincial crown in 2011 following a huge 7-19 to 0-19 drubbing of Waterford in the decider. Corbett, who scored 4-4 in that game, collected his fourth Munster medal.
Sean Daly (born 1972) is an Irish hurler who presently plays with Lismore GAA at club level and formerly with Waterford GAA at inter-county level. Sean for a time also played with Erin's Own GAA of Glounthaune, County Cork. Daly's greatest achievement was winning the All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship with Waterford in 1992.
Stephen Molumphy (born 11 January 1984) is an Irish retired hurler and currently a selector with the Wexford senior hurling team. He played for Waterford Senior Championship club Ballyduff Upper and was a member of the Waterford senior hurling team for nine seasons, during which time he usually lined out in midfield and as a left wing-forward.

Paddy O'Keeffe (born 1864) was an Irish hurler who played as a half-back for the Cork senior team. O'Keeffe played for Cork for just one season in the 1893 championship. It was a successful year as he won a set of All-Ireland and Munster medals. At club level O'Keeffe enjoyed a lengthy career with Carrigtwohill.

Seán Carey (born 15 November 1989) is a Gaelic footballer and hurler from County Tipperary. He plays with the Moyle Rovers Club and the Tipperary intercounty team. In 2010 he helped Tipperary win the Munster Under-21 Football Championship and [Munster Under-21 Hurling Championship. He later won the 2010 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship.
John Keane (19 April 1892 – 24 April 1978) was an Irish hurler. His championship career with the Limerick senior team lasted from 1912 until 1927. Born in Castleconnell, County Limerick, Keane first played competitive hurling in various club tournament games in his youth. After a year in the United States he returned to Ireland and joined the Castleconnell club.
Gerard Monan is an Irish hurler who played for the Down senior hurling team. Born in Ballygalget, County Down, Monan first played competitive hurling in his youth. He played in different grades at inter-county level with Down, however, he enjoyed little success throughout his career. At club level Monan is a one-time Ulster medallist with Ballygalget.
Fergal Lynch (born 26 October 1982) is an Irish hurler who played as a left wing-forward for the Clare senior team. Lynch attended NUI Galway. Born in Quin, County Clare, Lynch first arrived on the inter-county scene playing at under-age level for Clare. He made his senior debut in the 2002 National Hurling League.

He made his senior debut with Offaly during the 1984 championship and immediately became a regular member of the team. During his career Carroll won one Leinster medal.

During that time he won one Munster winners' medal. At club level, Enright won a club championship winners' medal with his local Ahane club.

Alan Kerins (born 1977) is an Irish sportsman, humanitarian, social entrepreneur and philanthropist. Kerins was a dual player for Galway, a hurler between 1997 and 2011 and a footballer between 2001 and 2004. He played with the senior inter-county team until 2011. Kerins played hurling with his local club Clarinbridge and football with Salthill-Knocknacarra.

Usually lining out at midfield, he enjoyed All- Ireland Championship success with Kilkenny in 1922 and with Dublin in 1924. Aylward enjoyed a brief club career with Ballyhale before later joining the C. J. Kickhams club in Dublin. He won his sole county championship medal in 1924.
William Kenny (1899 - 8 February 1978) was an Irish hurler. A versatile player who lined out as a half-back, a midfielder and a half-forward, he was a member of the Kilkenny team that won the 1922 All-Ireland Championship. Kenny enjoyed a decade-long club career with Dicksboro. During that time he won county championship medals in 1923 and 1926.

David Dunne (born 1995) is an Irish hurler who plays as a full-forward for the Wexford senior team. Dunne made his debut on the inter-county scene when he was selected for the Wexford under-21 team in 2014. Finbarr Cullen was a Gaelic footballer from County Offaly, Ireland. Devane was a substitute for the 2009 Munster Hurling final win. He was also an unused substitute in the 2009 All- Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final defeat to Kilkenny.
Seán O'Kennedy (20 January 1885 – 22 June 1949) was an Irish Gaelic footballer and hurler. His championship career with the Wexford senior teams spanned fourteen years from 1908 until 1922. Born in New Ross, County Wexford, O'Kennedy was born to James and Mary Kennedy (née Browner). The son of a merchant clerk, he was educated locally and later worked as an accountant.
In 1959 Cork qualified to play Waterford in the Munster final. Ring contributed 1-5, including a late goal which looked like turning the game in Cork's favour, however, Waterford held out for a 3-9 to 2-9 victory. In spite of a lack of championship success, Ring finished the year by being named Caltex Hurler of the Year.
Cooney first came to prominence as a hurler with St. Brigid's College in Loughrea. Having played in every grade he was appointed captain of the senior team in his final year. On 13 April 2009, Cooney captained the team to the All-Ireland Championship after lining out at midfield in the 3-18 to 1-14 defeat of Roscrea Community School.
Christopher "Christy" Jacob (born 1944) is an Irish retired hurler who enjoyed a successful career as a centre-back with the Wexford senior team. Born in Wickmore, County Wexford, Jacob was introduced to hurling in his youth. His granduncle, Jim Mythen, was an All-Ireland medal winner with Wexford in 1910. Jacob quickly established himself on the Oulart-the Ballagh junior team.
Michael Downes (21 October 1868 - 21 May 1943) was an Irish hurler who played with the Limerick senior team. Born in Kilfinane, County Limerick, Downes first played competitive hurling in his youth. He quickly established himself on the Kilfinane team and won county senior championship medals in 1897 and 1899. After success at club level, Downes joined the Limerick senior team.
It was a third All-Ireland medal for O'Sullivan. He finished off the year by winning a fourth All-Star before being named Texaco Hurler of the Year. Cork surrendered their titles in 1991, however, Casey claimed an All-Star award for his performances. Casey claimed his second Munster medal in 1992 following a 1-22 to 3-11 of Limerick.
Adrian Ryan (born 19 June 1990), is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Templederry Kenyons and has been a member of the Tipperary senior inter-county hurling team since 2012. He is a cousin of fellow Tipperary hurler Gearóid Ryan and Gearóid has disowned him since he missed that straight forward free against Lorrah in the 2018 North Quarterfinal.
Conor Martin (born 1994) is an Irish hurler who plays as a left corner-forward for the Kilkenny senior team. Born in Urlingford, County Kilkenny, Martin first played competitive hurling at juvenile and underage levels with the Emeralds club. He subsequently joined the club's senior team. He won a Fitzgibbon Cup medal in 2015 while playing with University of Limerick.
John Maher (born 1977) is an Irish hurler who played as a right corner-forward for the Kilkenny senior team. Maher joined the team during the 2003 championship and was a regular member of the team for just three seasons. During that time he won one All-Ireland winners' medal as a non-playing substitute. At club level Maher plays with St. Martin's.
Derek O'Reilly is a hurler for Dublin and Craobh Chiaráin. Derek won a Dublin Senior Hurling Championship medal with Craobh Chiaráin in 2006. O'Reilly scored a (0-2f) in the final against Ballyboden in a game that finished with the score 2-10 to 2-8. O'Reilly was named on the Dublin Blue Stars team for 2006 at right half back.

He won an All-Ireland Junior Hurling Championship1983\. sportsmanager.ie. medal in 1994 and an All- Ireland Junior Football Championship medal in 1989 together with an All- Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship medal in 1989.
Fr. Thomas "Tom" Fogarty (born 1951) is a Roman Catholic priest and a retired hurler who played as a left corner-back for the Tipperary senior team. Born in Templetuohy, County Tipperary, Fogarty first played competitive hurling in his youth. attended Thurles CBS, and trained for the priesthood at St. Patrick's College, Thurles and was ordained for the Diocese of Cashel and Emly.

Former Dublin hurler, footballer, referee and sports journalist Seán Óg Ó Ceallacháin took over in 1980. He remained at the helm as presenter for two seasons before being replaced by Carney once again.
Ger Cunningham (born 1972) is an Irish retired hurler who played for the Limerick minor team. Born in Knockainey, County Limerick, Cunningham first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Limerick minor team. At club level Cunningham played with Knockainey. In retirement from playing Cunningham became involved in team management and coaching.
Séamus Hennessy (born 1 May 1989) is an Irish hurler who played as a midfielder for the Tipperary senior team. Hennessy made his first appearance for the team during the 2009 Waterford Crystal Cup. During that time he has won one All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship winners' medal on the field of play. At club level Hennessy plays with the Kilruane MacDonaghs club.
John Heffernan (born 1963) is an Irish retired hurler. His league and championship career with the Tipperary senior team lasted four seasons from 1986 to 1990. Heffernan first appeared for the Nenagh Éire Óg club at juvenile and underage levels, before eventually joining the club's senior team. The highlight of his club career came in 1995 when he won a county championship medal.

He was subsequently honoured with his first All-Star award while also picking up the Eircell Young Hurler of the Year title. In 2001 Hickey won a second Leinster medal following a 2–19 to 0–12 demolition of Wexford.
Eddie Daly (born 1918) was an Irish hurler who played as a full-forward for the Waterford senior team. Born in Lismore, County Waterford, Daly first played competitive hurling in his youth. He joined the Waterford senior team during the 1938 championship. Daly subsequently became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won one All-Ireland medal and one Munster medal.
Séamus Roche (born 8 September 1969) is an Irish retired hurling referee. He is a former Gaelic footballer and hurler with his club Kilsheelan-Kilcash. Roche was the referee for the 2005 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final between Cork and Galway and was a linesman for the 2003 and 2004 finals. He retired from inter-county refereeing in 2011.
Michael "Mick" Collins (1940 – 13 June 2009) was an Irish hurler who played as a full-back with the Wexford senior team. Born in Enniscorthy, County Wexford, Collins was introduced to hurling in his youth. He enjoyed championship successes with the Enniscorthy Shamrocks club, winning two championship medals at senior level. Collins made his senior debut with Wexford during the 1966 championship.
Aidan Butler (born 1974) is an Irish hurler who played as a midfielder for the Tipperary senior team. Butler made his senior championship debut as a substitute versus Kerry during the 1996 championship. and made his final appearance in the county senior colours during the 2003 championship. During that time he won a senior All-Ireland winners' medal as a non-playing substitute.
David Redmond (born 19 September 1987) is an Irish hurler. His league and championship career with the Wexford senior team lasted eleven seasons from 2007 until 2017. Born in The Ballagh, County Wexford, Redmond first played competitive hurling and Gaelic football at juvenile and underage levels with Oulart-the Ballagh. After much success in these grades he later joined the club's senior team.
Tom Murane is a hurler from County Kerry, Ireland. He plays with the Kerry intercounty team, of whom he was captain of in 2008. He has won two Christy Ring Cup All Stars in 2009 and 2010. He plays his club hurling with Kilmoyley with whom he has won 4 County Championship medals and was captain of the 2008 winning team.
Tom Cashman was born in Blackrock just outside Cork City in 1957. The son of Mick Cashman and Anne Brohan, he was born into a family that was steeped in sporting excellence. His father was a legendary hurling goalkeeper with Blackrock and Cork during the 1950s and 1960s. Cashman's uncle, Jimmy Brohan, was also a famed club and inter-county hurler.
Kenny Feeney (born 1991) is an Irish hurler who plays as a centre-forward for the Mayo senior team. Born in Tooreen, County Mayo, Feeney first played competitive hurling with Ballyhaunis Community School. He simultaneously came to prominence at juvenile and underage levels with the Tooreen club. Feeney subsequently enjoyed success with the club's senior team, winning a Connacht medal in 2017.

Frank Burke (born 1952) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a centre- forward for the Galway senior team. Born in Turloughmore, County Galway, Burke first played competitive hurling at school at Presentation College, Athenry. He made his first impression on the inter-county scene when he joined the Galway under-21 team. He made his senior debut during the 1973 championship.

Bernard McElligott was a Gaelic footballer and hurler from Abbeydorney in North County Kerry, Ireland. He played football with Brick Rangers and hurling with Abbeydorney. He also played with football and hurling with Kerry, in fact he is the last player to play in both the Munster Senior Hurling and Football Championships in the same year in the early 1990s.
Maher first came to prominence as a hurler with Thurles CBS. He played in every grade before eventually joining the senior hurling team as a 15-year-old. On 12 March 2005, Maher lined out at full-back when Thurles CBS suffered a 1-11 to 1-06 defeat by St. Flannan's College from Ennis in the Harty Cup final.

Pat English is an Irish retired hurler who played for the Carlow senior team. He is the current manager of the Carlow senior team. Born in Ballinkillin, County Carlow, English first played competitive hurling in his youth. He played senior hurling with Carlow, and was a member of the team that won the All-Ireland title in the "B" grade in 1992.
Jim Greene (born 1950) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a full-forward for the Waterford senior team. Greene joined the team in 1968 and became a regular player until his retirement in 1986. During that time he appeared in numerous Munster finals but ended his career without any major honours. He won an All-Star award in 1982.

Murt Connolly is an Irish retired hurler who played as a midfielder for the Castlegar senior team. Born in Castlegar, County Galway, Connolly first played competitive hurling whilst at school in St. Mary's College, Galway. At club level he is a one-time All-Ireland medallist with Castlegar. In addition to this he also won two Connacht medals and two championship medals.
Simon Lambert (born 17 April 1988) is a hurler for Dublin and Ballyboden St Enda's. He won a Dublin Senior Hurling Championship medal with Ballyboden in 2007.HILL 16 Lambert was dropped from the Dublin hurling panel in December 2015. Lambert was a member of the Ballyboden St Enda's football team that won the 2015–16 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship.
Brendan Murtagh (born 1983) is an Irish hurler. His league and championship career with the Westmeath senior team spanned seventeen seasons from 2001 until 2017. Born in Mullingar, County Westmeath, Murtagh was educated at Mullingar Community College and later at Sligo Institute of Technology. He first played competitive hurling at juvenile and underage levels with Clonkill, before later joining the senior team.
James Flood (8 October 1875 - 30 November 1918) was an Irish hurler who played with the Limerick senior team. Born in Caherline, County Limerick, Flood first played competitive hurling in his youth. He quickly established himself on the Caherline team and won county senior championship medals in 1896, 1905 and 1907. After success at club level, Flood joined the Limerick senior team.
McGrath first came to prominence as a hurler with Our Lady's Secondary School in Templemore. He played in every grade of hurling before eventually joining the college's senior hurling team. On 24 February 2013, McGrath top scored with 0-05 for the team when they suffered a 2-21 to 1-11 defeat by Dungarvan Colleges in the Harty Cup final.

James Morris (14 September 1896 – 18 March 1932) was an Irish hurler. Usually lining out at midfield, he was a member of the Galway team that won the 1923 All-Ireland Championship. Morris enjoyed a club career with Gort that spanned three decades. After joining the club's senior team in his late teens he won two county championship medals in 1914 and 1916.

Murray had great success as a club footballer. He played with his local St. Patrick's club in Knockcroghery, as well as hurling with Roscommon Gaels. In all he won six Roscommon SFC in 1942, 1943, 1945, 1946, 1948 and 1949. Murray was also a hurler of note and he won a Roscommon SHC medal with the Gaels club in 1938.

He usually lines out as a right corner-back. Jerome is infamously known for us poor dress sense, often seen going to college in flared jeans, bootcut tracksuit, or his signature wife beater.

Born in Borrisoleigh, County Tipperary, Ryan was raised in a strong hurling family. His father, Tim Ryan, and his uncles, Ned Ryan and Pat Stakelum, won All-Ireland medals with Tipperary between 1949 and 1951.
John Fitzgibbon (born 21 September 1992) is an Irish hurler who plays as a midfielder for the Limerick senior team. Born in Adare, County Limerick, Fitzgibbon was introduced to hurling in his youth. He enjoyed Harty Cup success at colleges level with Ardscoil Rís while simultaneously enjoying championship successes at underage levels with the Adare club. Fitzgibbon has won one championship medal.
During his playing days he won three Cú Chulainn awards, as well as being named Texaco Hurler of the Year in 1965. He has been repeatedly voted onto teams made up of the sport's greats, including at right corner-forward on the Hurling Team of the Century in 1984 and at left corner- forward on the Hurling Team of the Millennium in 2000.

The son of Cork hurler, Seánie O'Leary, O'Leary attended Saint Patrick's School on Gardiner's Hill before going to Christian Brothers College (CBC) for his second-level education. CBC has a rugby tradition and this is where O'Leary first started playing. He was recognised as a talent and played Munster Schools Senior Cup for the school.
Paul Shiels is an Irish hurler who plays as a midfielder for the Antrim senior team. Shiels made his first appearance for the team during the 2007 National League and immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen. Since then he has won four Ulster winners' medal. At club level Shiels is a two-time Ulster medalist with Dunloy.

Hugh Shelly (21 November 1883 - 11 May 1957) was an Irish hurler. His championship career with the Tipperary senior team spanned seventeen years from 1906 until 1923. Born in Thurles, County Tipperary, Shelly first played competitive hurling with the Thurles Sarsfields club. He established himself on the senior team and won six county senior championship medals between 1904 and 1911.
Jack Keoghan (29 March 1887 – May 1963) was an Irish hurler. His championship career with the Kilkenny senior team lasted eight seasons from 1907 to 1914. Born in Tullaroan, County Kilkenny, Keoghan was just fifteen years old when he joined the Tullaroan senior team in 1902. Over the course of the following twelve years he won three county championship medals.
Bjarkman 1994, p. 324. He was a versatile hurler for Cincinnati, as he completed nine of 20 starts and appeared 14 times in relief. As a reliever he finished ten games and saved one other. For the year he was 9–9 with a 3.25 earned run average, and finished in the league's top ten in four important pitching categories, including WHIP (1.124).
Collins joined the Ballinhassig club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels as a hurler and Gaelic footballer. On 16 September 2018, Collins made his first appearance for Ballinhassig's top adult team when he lined out in goal for their 1-22 to 0-14 defeat by Valley Rovers in the Premier Intermediate Championship.
Joseph Delahunty (18 March 1888 – 11 March 1966) was an Irish hurler. Usually lining out as a half-back, he was a member of the Kilkenny team that won the 1909 All-Ireland Championship. Delahunty played his club hurling with Mooncoin and enjoyed much success in a twelve-year career. He won his first county championship medal in 1906 before adding a second in 1908.
Another 1933 Barnstable hurler, Emil "Bud" Roy, went on to play briefly for the Philadelphia Athletics. Quincy, Massachusetts native Ted Olson was a dominant pitcher for Barnstable in 1934 and 1935, and went on to play for the Boston Red Sox. CCBL Hall of Famer Lennie Merullo also played for Barnstable in 1935, and went on to play seven seasons with the Chicago Cubs.

Jeremiah "Jer" Doheny (20 July 1874 – 11 August 1929) was an Irish hurler who played as a right corner-forward for the Kilkenny senior team. He was captain for Kilkenny's first All Ireland victory in 1904. Born in Ballycallan, County Kilkenny, Doheny first played competitive hurling in his youth. He made his senior debut during the 1893 championship and became a regular player over the next decade.
The main sport in Fedamore is hurling. The club's pitch is situated in Boolavoord and they won two County Senior Hurling Championships in 1912 and 1927. Fedamore inter-county hurler Paddy Clohessy won All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championships in 1934, 1936 and 1940. He has enjoyed little success during his senior inter-county career. O'Brien is the current vice-captain of the Limerick team.

Daniel "Danny" McCormack (1876-1938) was an Irish hurler who played for the Dublin senior team. Born in Borrisoleigh, County Tipperary, McCormack first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of twenty-four when he first linked up with the Dublin senior. He made his debut during the 1899 championship. McCormack immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won three Leinster medals.
David Herity (born 12 April 1983) is an Irish hurling manager and former hurler and Gaelic footballer. He is the manager of the Kildare senior hurling team. Herity played for Kilkenny Championship club Dunnamaggin and was a member of the Kilkenny senior hurling team for eight seasons, during which time he lined out as a goalkeeper. Herity began his hurling career at club level with Dunnamaggin.
Daniel Shanahan (born 4 January 1977) is an Irish hurling selector and former player. He has been a selector with the Waterford senior team since 2013. Born in Lismore, County Waterford, Shanahan was introduced to hurling by his father, a former hurler with Waterford.
