Dan Single, or Dangerous Dan, is also part of prominent Sydney- based DJ six-piece "Bang Gang". Bang Gang consists of Ajax, Nolan, Jamie Doom, Gus Da Hoodrat, Dj Damage, and Dangerous Dan. Their early party days in dark nightclubs, such as 3rd Class in Melbourne and progressed to supporting Daft Punk in their Nevereverland tour of Australia in late 2007.

At many of the shows during Metallica's 2004 Madly in Anger with the World Tour, Trujillo would often play an extended bass solo (dubbed "Jungle Essence" on recordings), which made extensive use of slap bass and other techniques and effects. For recording purposes, Trujillo uses his own code for writing down bass arrangements. Inspired by an article by Pino Palladino, he developed this during the recording sessions for Jerry Cantrell's Degradation Trip, which, according to Trujillo, had him working from "little hoodrat demos" with nearly inaudible bass.

Hoang, whose real name is Huong Hoang (Vietnamese Hoàng Hương), is a Vietnamese-American actress. She had small parts in films such as Gingerdead Man 3: Saturday Night Cleaver, Hoodrats 2: Hoodrat Warriors, and My Big Phat Hip Hop Family, as well as guest roles on television series such as I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant. On September 2, after promoting a "Commercial Free August", the station began adding personalities, including Freska in middays, Mia Amor in afternoons, and Hoodrat Miguel hosting nights. On September 15, KRBQ added Bay Area radio vet Joey "Joey V." Vlasny and Alexx Dupri to host morning drive. KRBQ also bought back a mix show that was once a staple at KNGY, Clubber's Commute, airing Saturday nights. At the time, KRBQ faced competition from Urban KMEL, Top 40/CHRs KMVQ, KYLD and KREV, Rhythmic Top 40 KVVF, Rhythmic Oldies KISQ (which has since flipped to Soft AC) and Adult Top 40s KLLC and KIOI, as it shared the same music as the other outlets. As of February 2015, KRBQ dropped current tracks (as well as pop and dance titles), and refocused its direction to the growing Classic hip hop format, with occasional 1990's R&B; titles.
