The Hindutva movement has been described as a variant of "right-wing extremism" and as "almost fascist in the classical sense", adhering to a disputed concept of homogenised majority and cultural hegemony.

Táncház (literally "dance house") is a dance music movement which first appeared in the 1970s as a reaction against state-supported homogenised and sanitised folk music. They have been described as a "cross between a barn dance and folk club", and generally begin with a slow tempo verbunkos (recruiting dance), followed by swifter csárdás dances. Csárdás is a very popular Hungarian folk dance that comes in many regional varieties, and is characterized by changes in tempo. Táncház began with the folk song collecting of musicians like Béla Halmos and Ferenc Sebő, who collected rural instrumental and dance music for popular, urban consumption, along with the dance collectors György Martin and Sándor Timár.

On 16 August 1830, King Charles X, dethroned, departed into exile from the military port of Cherbourg aboard the Great Britain, leaving room for the July Monarchy. The BBC's Inside Out was based on Hillside's investigative footage 'Pigs in Purgatory', also on another episode of Channel 4's Dispatches 'What's Really in Your Christmas Dinner?' which won PETA UK's Best Animal-Friendly Television Programme for 2006 saying: "Especially eye-opening was video footage from inside the factory farms where turkeys and pigs are intensively reared." In Channel 4's Dispatches programme 'Supermarket Secrets', journalist Jane Moore looked at the cost consumers and animals are paying for cheap, homogenised, convenient supermarket food.

Garde et al. suggested the presence of an ~100 km scale impact structure, formed by the impact of a large comet or meteorite, in the Maniitsoq region. They argued that consensus accepted diagnositic criteria for recognising impacts should be relaxed when searching for particularly large, ancient, and eroded impacts, and instead suggested the presence of an impact structure on the basis of the following observations: 1) the presence of an irregular aeromagnetic anomaly; 2) curved ~100 km scale deformation patterns; 3) intense fracturing; 4) sheets of crushed rock without the presence of faults; 5) a 35 x 50 km2 central domain of homogenised rocks (the Finnefjeld Orthogneiss Complex) ; 6) remelting of rocks around the central domain; 7) formation of breccias; 8) proposed evidence of direct K-feldspar melting ; 9) planar elements within minerals; 10) presence of shear zones; 11) presence of ultramafic sills (the Maniitsoq Norite Belt) ; 12) proposed widespread hydrothermal alteration; 13) a coincidence of a zircon U-Pb ages at approximately 2975 million years ago (Ma). The impact was argued to post-date the end of deformation in the Maniitsoq region.

At the time of foundation, according to professor Claire Squires (Professor of Publishing Studies, and Director of the Stirling Centre for International Publishing and Communication at the University of Stirling), the publishing industry in United Kingdom had a homogenised white, middle- class and Oxbridge-dominated workforce.
