From 1949 until 1979, Brompton was the home to the world- famous Rowley Park Speedway located on the corner of Torrens Road and Coglin Street. E. E. Cleveland was a very successful evangelist holding over 60 campaigns in 6 continents and training over 1,000 pastors. He was a Seventh-day Adventist church pioneer of the concept of evangelism in large cities and held national campaigns before satellite technology become common. In what has been called one of the most successful evangelistic campaigns in Adventist history Cleveland was the first Seventh-day Adventist to baptize more than 1,000 people in a single campaign. Held in 1966 in Port of Spain, Trinidad the series was housed in two large tents pitched side by side and opened with 3,300 people in attendance, swelling to 7,000 by the final service.

She managed the archives records management program and provided services to “63 state agencies and 4,300 local governments as well as the archival programs operating State Archives archival facility holding over 100,000 cubic feet of state government records.” She also overlooked several statewide programs that “provide training and advisory services to over 3,000 historical records programs.” She was the president of the Council of State Archivists and later chaired the Government Relations Committee and the Survey Management Team.

Stands at Exeter Racecourse In 1911, a new grandstand was built at the cost of £1,000 (), designed by J. Archibald Lucas, designed to be long and deep, holding over 600 people, the majority of which would be under cover. The new stand was made of steel but with an iron roof, and held a bar, a weigh- room and other facilities as well as storage space. By 2006, Exeter Racecourse included three stands, Haldon, Anstey and Brockman. Polio Children work in partnership with the Indiability Foundation to support the Sucheta Kriplani Shiksha Niketan (SKSN) Institute in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Since its inception in 1991 the SKSN institute has flourished from educating just 15 disabled boys into a boarding school now holding over 200 disabled and able-bodied boys and girls. Polio Children’s fundraising efforts, along with generous donations from other organisations around the world, have enabled the school to build a computer lab, a library and a prosthetics laboratory where, funds permitting, bespoke artificial limbs can be manufactured. Polio Children's most significant contribution to SKSN was the construction of a girls hostel to provide accommodation for the female students of the school.

John Ronald Abbey bookplate Abbey would become the largest English book collector of his time. His book collecting started in 1929 buying books from various private presses, eventually gaining complete collections of books from the Kelmscott, Ashendene and Gwasg Gregynog presses. He also became interested in modern bindings, and in 1931 commissioned examples from Sybil Pye and, from R. de Coverley & Sons, a copy of Siegfried Sassoon's Memoirs of an Infantry Officer decorated with Abbey's coat of arms. He also collected antiquarian books, starting from the sale of Primrose's collection and building it up from 1936 to 1938 thanks to sales from the Mensing, Moss, Aldenham, Schiff, and Cortlandt F. Bishop collections, eventually holding over 1,300 books.

The East baray (), or Yashodharatataka, is a now-dry baray, or artificial body of water, at Angkor, Cambodia, oriented east-west and located just east of the walled city Angkor Thom. It was built around the year 900 AD during the reign of King Yasovarman. Fed by the Siem Reap River flowing down from the Kulen Hills, it was the second-largest baray in the Angkor region (after the West Baray) and one of the largest handcut water reservoirs on Earth, measuring roughly 7.5 by 1.8 kilometers and holding over 50 million cubic meters of water. Stones bearing inscriptions that mark the construction of the baray have been found at all four of its corners.

The interior of the Pitt Rivers Museum Adjoining the Museum of Natural History is the Pitt Rivers Museum, founded in 1884, which displays the university's archaeological and anthropological collections, currently holding over 500,000 items. It recently built a new research annexe; its staff have been involved with the teaching of anthropology at Oxford since its foundation, when as part of his donation General Augustus Pitt Rivers stipulated that the university establish a lectureship in anthropology. Though no longer suitable for collegiate hockey, the Hartmeyer was still the premier skating, amateur hockey and youth hockey facility in Madison for many years and one of few in the region capable of holding over 3,000 spectators. The Patriots Youth Hockey Association began using the arena in 1984 and still holds many events in the facility. Since 2006 Hartmeyer Ice Arena has also been home to the Madison Eastside Lakers Hockey team a Co-Op team consisting of Madison La Follette High School and Madison East High School. Prior to 2006 La Follette and East had separate hockey teams. The City of Madison operated the Hartmeyer into the 21st century, despite the arena beginning to show signs of age.

The Greyhound Racing Association (GRA) purchased open land on Sloper Road opposite the Ninian Park Primary School and Sevenoaks Park, an area covered today by housing and retail buildings as the site for the stadium. The stadium name White City originated because the GRA surrounded the arena with white concrete walls and raised terracing capable of holding over 40,000 people and the name had already caught on following the success of their sister track White City in London. The GRA (South Wales) erected six kennel blocks under the grandstand capable of housing 180 dogs. The White City Stadium, also known as Sloper Road or the Welsh White City opened on Easter Saturday 1928 but persistent rain fell resulting in only 9,000 spectators turning up.

Shell Place and SMS Equipment Stadium at MacDonald Island in Fort McMurray Shell Place is a sports, recreation and mixed use complex in Fort McMurray, Alberta, which includes SMS Equipment Stadium, a multi-purpose stadium and performance venue, Legacy Dodge Field, a softball and baseball tournament facility, as well as a field house, badminton centre, non-profit and meeting spaces, and recreation trail. Shell Place is a $127 million addition to the preexisting MacDonald Island Park. SMS Equipment Stadium has close to 5,000 fixed seats and is capable of holding over 20,000 people. The stadium hosted "Northern Kickoff", a June 13, 2015 season-opening exhibition game between the Canadian Football League teams Edmonton Eskimos and the Saskatchewan Roughriders, the first major sporting event held at the new facility as well as the most northerly outdoor professional football game in history.

On 2 November 1905, the local Boys' Brigade was formed at the barracks for the sons of Royal Navy and Royal Marines personnel, except commissioned officers. On 18 September 1912, Chatham sailors opened 'Pembroke House Girls Orphanage' on Oxford Road, Gillingham the orphanage was financed and managed by the Chatham Sailors. It was converted into a residential home in 1952 for The Royal Naval Benevolent Trust. The years leading up to the First World War, saw the drill hall used as an Exhibition centre, Naval store (of rum, clothes and general supplies), a building materials warehouse and as an overflow barracks with the court martial room situated on an upper floor near the rear of the building. Also during this time Chatham had become one of three Royal Navy's manning ports with the area holding over a third of the Navy and 205 ships manned by Chatham.

The Metropole Theatre started as the Scotia and was built in 1862 at 116, Stockwell Street, Glasgow, Scotland. Built to the designs of architect Robert Black for James Baylis, who later built the Theatre RoyalThe Theatre Royal: Entertaining a Nation by Graeme Smith, published 2008 in the Cowcaddens area of the city, it opened as the Scotia Hall, holding over 3000 people, with stalls and two galleries, reputed to be the first purpose built commercial music-hall in Scotland. Due to fire in 1875 it was rebuilt to the designs of architects Campbell Douglas and James Sellars and renamed The Scotia Variety Theatre, claiming to be the largest and best variety company in Scotland.The Theatre Royal: Entertaining a Nation, by Graeme Smith The Baylis family headed by Christina Baylis continued to run it until 1892, selling it on her retiral to Moss Empires who ran it until 1897 when they opened their new Empire Palace in Sauchiehall Street.

Security of tenure operates in a slightly different way depending on whether the tenancy is a periodic or fixed-term tenancy. If the tenancy is periodic, it will only come to an end either by an order of the court or by surrender by the tenant. If the tenancy is a fixed term tenancy, it may be ended either by the effluxion of time automatically expiring, with no need to serve any notice, at the end of the fixed termProperty Law and Practice, P. If a fixed term assured tenancy comes to an end in one of these ways but occupation continues, known as holding over, a periodic assured tenancy will from that event be created, known as a statutory periodic tenancy.

The most common animal in the park is by far the white-nosed coati, which one can expect to encounter dozens of times on the beach hike between La Leona and Sirena, digging for and feeding on the abundant moon crabs. Other animals in the park include Central American squirrel monkeys, mantled howler monkeys, both two-toed and three- toed sloths, agoutis, giant anteaters, great curassows, black hawks, spectacled owls, hummingbirds, 220 species of butterflies, golden orb spiders (who build huge webs), otters and raccoons. Four species of sea turtle (green, Pacific ridley, hawksbill, and leatherback) nest on the beaches. The abundance in wildlife can in part be explained by the variety of vegetation types, at least 13, including montane forest (more than half the park), cloud forest, jolillo forest (palm swamp), prairie forest, alluvial plains forest, swamp forest, freshwater herbaceous swamp and mangrove, together holding over 500 tree species, including purple heart, poponjoche, nargusta, banak, cow tree, espave and crabwood.

Michael's Gate is the only remaining from the original four gates of the medieval fortification system Bratislava fortifications usually refers to the medieval city fortifications of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, of which one gate and two sections of walls remain today. The Bratislava Castle was also heavily fortified. Other fortification systems were built in the following centuries, including a World War I artillery fortification system and World War I shelters, system of bunkers and fortifications built by the First Czechoslovak Republic between the World Wars, World War II aircraft raid shelters, fortifications built by the Nazi Germany in the city during World War II and finally Cold War-era city defenses including a system of 8,602 air raid and nuclear shelters capable of holding over 760,000 citizens, far more than the number of inhabitants. The pinnacle of the communist era city defense was a military rocket base located on the Devínska Kobyla hill, the highest point in the city.

Constantly concerned with his home country's issues, El-Sagini featured Egypt in most of his works expressing hope, encouragement, disappointment or just pure unconditional love. In his statue "Egypt My Mother Land" (Bronze- 40x30x 10 cm-1957) El-Sagini symbolized Egypt as the giving mother of the entire Arab world featuring a mother breastfeeding her infants while holding over her shoulders symbols of Prosperity ‘‘(Wheat Stem)’’, Development ‘‘(Bricks Built)’’ and Culture ‘‘(Book)’’.

Hughes biographer Michael Drosnin stated that the elevator was prone to constant malfunctions, and that the Landmark's air- conditioning system "never really worked." The dome provided wraparound views of the city, and was capable of holding over 2,000 people. The dome included lounges and a night club, as well as the high-rise casino on the 29th floor. At the time of the Landmark's opening, the showroom and the Cascade Terrace coffee shop were located on the first floor, while a steak and seafood gourmet restaurant known as Towers Restaurant was located on the 27th floor and a Chinese restaurant known as the Mandarin Room was located on the 29th floor. A 1995 photo of the tower, modified to depict its operational appearance in the 1980s In April 1971, plans were announced for a $750,000 expansion that would include luxury suites on the 29th floor, the highest in Las Vegas at the time.

University Library opened in 2016 and designed by architects O'Donnell & Tuomey The CEU Library offers a major English-language print collection as well provides access to a wide range of electronic resources in the social sciences and humanities, law, and public policy. With more than more than 400,000 documents in various formats, including over 50,000 e-journals and 160,000 e-books, as well as many academic research databases unique to Hungary, the Library primarily supports CEU students, faculty, and staff through its state-of-the-art research library and regular skills training programs. In addition, the Library grants external membership to students from other educational institutions with similar curricula as well as to other researchers not affiliated with CEU who require the use of the CEU Library collections for their scholarly research. The Open Society Archives at CEU (OSA) is a Cold War research facility, holding over 7,500 linear meters of material, 11,000 hours of audiovisual recordings and 12 terabytes of data related to communist-era political, social, economic and cultural life.

South Infantry Barracks: the former Officers' Quarters of 1795. South Infantry Barracks (dating from 1795) were built in line with the cavalry barracks, on the same NE-SW axis, and consisted of three blocks: the central officers' accommodation with clock and cupola (housing 7 field officers, 22 captains and 55 subalterns, together with their staff), flanked by a pair of soldiers' barrack blocks for the soldiers and NCOs (each holding over 900 men). These four buildings (which were designed by James Johnson and John Sanders) are clearly shown on William Mudge's 1797 map of Deal; still in situ, they are said to form "one of the most complete late 18th century barracks in the country". Army units occupied the barracks from 1795; but following the end of the Napoleonic Wars their requirements decreased, and in 1816 part of the South barracks was instead used as quarters for 'blockade men', who were drafted against a threat of local smuggling (Deal was 'a hot- bed for smugglers' at that time).
